My Whole Heart || Bradley "Rooster" Bradshaw
Summary: Request - Hi, I'm not sure if it's okay to drop an idea, but I'll try. it would be a Rooster one where you're a happy couple but recently you're feeling unwell but dont tell Bradley. ... Read Rest Here
A/N: This is just cute and sweet! As always thank you for the req anon!!
Pairing: Bradley "Rooster" Bradshaw x Y/N
Word Count: 2.1k +
You were up in the air training next to your boyfriend when you felt it. It felt like your heart started fluttering. It didn’t hurt but it didn’t feel right either. You felt short of breath as you asked to land using your stomach as an excuse for what your heart was doing.
Bradley ran over to your jet once you parked it in the Hanger, “You okay beautiful?” He asked brushing the loose hairs out of your face. Your normally perfect bun getting jostled by the helmet you had on.
You nodded quickly giving him a lopsided grin, “I think it’s just some bad Chinese we had last night.” You gripped your stomach in excuse trying to make it look semi-believable.
He frowned taking your shoulders guiding you towards the locker rooms, “Call if you need anything, okay baby?”
You nodded quickly feeling that flutter again, “Sure thing babe.” You kissed his cheek before scurrying off into the locker room.
Short of breath you clutched your chest breathing slow. What the fuck? It wasn’t a heart attack; you knew that much. It felt like a butterfly was buzzing instead of the steady rhythm you were so used to prior. Shakily you pulled your phone out calling your Doctor’s office outside of the base. You could go to medical on base, but you’d be grounded, and you couldn’t have that. Not now.
The office told you to come in immediately or head to the closest hospital. Must be bad. You groaned knowing you’d have to lie to your loving boyfriend. Just a little white lie you decided. After catching your breath, you walked out in your changed clothing. Bradley stood there with a concerned expression when the door swung open.
“Feeling any better?” He asked as your wrapped your arms around his abdomen.
You nodded in his chest not really caring if anybody walked by, just wanting to hold him for a second, “Much better, thank you.”
He kissed the top of your forehead, “Let’s get out of here my love.”
You smiled hesitantly before letting him go, “Yeah, I’ll meet you at your place? Need to run a few errands really quick. Mom’s birthday is next week, and I promised Sean I’d mail out her gift before it passes.” It wasn’t a complete lie. You were going to stop by the Doctor and then drop off the gift sitting in the back of your car.
He smiled, “Your brother is lucky he’s got you.”
You nodded in agreement, “He sure is.” He walked you to your car giving you a quick kiss bidding you farewell for a little bit. Your nerves only started to get to you once you pulled in.
“Atrial Fibrillation…” Your doctor went on explaining what it was and what triggered it. You listened taking mental notes. You were hooked up to an IV taking medicant that was knocking your heart rate back into rhythm. It apparently hadn’t been that bad because it only took about twenty minutes before you physically felt better.
“Can I still fly?” You asked, almost terrified for his answer.
He nodded, “I don’t see why not. I wouldn’t go pulling extreme G’s anymore, but you should be just fine. Just remember the triggers.” You nodded. He mentioned stress. That was kind of hard to avoid. You’d have to figure that one out.
You thanked him before heading out to drop off the package. How were you going to tell Bradley? He was going to lose his damn mind at this one. You’d just keep it quiet until you thought of something. Anything.
You snuggled into his side tightly that night making sure to reiterate how much you loved him, “Love you handsome man.” You kissed his chest before nuzzling him. Listening to the steady rhythm of his healthy heart as you drifted off.
“You feeling alright?” Bradley asked as the two of you exited the gym. Maverick had been in a particularly bad mood after the entire class failed to complete a maneuver. The weight room it was. You were taxed. And now you had to go up in the air again, one more round before you’d be free for the night.
“Mhmm.” You nodded not feeling great. Crap, what were all the triggers? Stress? Was exhaustion one of them? Just focus on your breathing, it’d be alright. Just fine.
“Baby.” He stopped you by placing his much larger body front of you. Gently he placed his hands on your shoulders, “You don’t look so good.” His eyes scoured your pale yet clammy face.
You tried shaking him off, but the lack of energy was making it difficult, “I’m fine B. Mav just kicked my ass is all.”
He didn’t let his hands go as his face fell. He knew you. Heart and soul. That happened after two very happy years of dating. He’d seen you zapped after a particularly hard work out and you’d never looked like this. Your face would go beat red, not ghostly white.
Your heart fluttered. Damn, there it was. It was an uneasy feeling. Like you couldn’t breathe deeply enough. Like air was just a bit harder to grasp.
“Babe.” He stopped you from moving again, “You’d tell me if you didn’t feel alright? I’m here to help you. You know that. Whatever it is.” He was starting to get nervous. Were you pregnant? You didn’t hate kids, but you didn’t want them either. Was it cancer? He’d help you through that. He just needed to know so he could help.
You knew Bradley wasn’t going to let you go unless you gave him something better than that. He knew you way better than that. If there was one thing that was true it was that Bradley Bradshaw was anything but stupid. He was quite intelligent and one of the most observant people you’d ever met.
It probably wasn’t too smart to go up in the air right now anyway. You weren’t feeling great. You were fatigued. Exhausted beyond your limit. You had to tell him. You couldn’t keep it from him any longer.
You sighed before diving into what you knew. He only nodded and frowned letting you know he was listening, he just wanted you to finish before he talked, “… I’m sorry for keeping it from you. I just, I was trying to figure it out.”
He dropped a hand from your shoulder quickly grabbing one of your hands, “Baby, that’s what I’m here for. To help you figure this out. I’m so fucking sorry if I didn’t make you feel like you could tell me. Please tell me these things. Anything. I want to hear anything you think. Anything you feel. I want to feel you. I love you.” He kissed your forehead after making sure the coast was clear.
You shook your head quickly, “Don’t you dare blame yourself B.” You squeezed his hand back, “It’s me. I’m so used to doing things on my own. I didn’t even realize. I’m so sorry. I love you so much.”
He nodded, “Talk to me going forward. I’m here for you.”
“I will. I promise.” You went in for a hug. A hug you desperately needed in that moment.
“I’m going to go talk to Mav. You wait by the car okay? If I’m not out in five give me a call baby, okay?” He raised an eyebrow waiting for your response.
“Sure. Yeah.” You agreed. Who cared? You’d be fine. You’d hold your place. It was an afternoon off.
Bradley was back in three, smiling from ear to ear, “Let’s go home and relax sweetheart, how does that sound?” He asked once the both of you were seated in his truck.
You nodded scooting closer to him on the bench seat, “Sounds perfect B.”
The two of you spent the afternoon rotating between snacking, sleeping, and giggling. Your absolute favorite way to spend time with the boy you got to love on. Your limbs intertwined as you watched some random season of Survivor. The two of you guessing if you’d be able to do the challenge of not. You promised you’d enter him in for a season since he was Mr. Confident over there.
He got serious after a commercial interrupted the gameplay the two of you were so focused on. Placing bets on your favorite players, “You know I’d rip my heart right in half and give it right to you if I could?” he asked looking down at you with all the love dripping right from his eyes. Your very own heart sped up at that look that you’d grown to adore over the years you’d been together. Each and every time he gave it to you it only felt more right. How lucky were you? To be in love with your best friend.
You nodded nuzzling your head into his chest, “I know. Trust me B, I know.” You kissed his chest never growing tired of the close physical contact he’d granted you so long ago. That was your love language, physical touch. Bradley knew it and let you have it, all of it. As uncomfortable as he was with it at first he’d grown to love the quick touches and soft caresses you’d always seem to give him. You’d broken down every last wall he so perfectly constructed after both his father and then mother died on him.
“You’re my whole heart Y/N.” He kissed the top of your head while running his spare hand down your spine. He relished in the goosebumps that erupted underneath the flimsy tank top you’d had on. Your eyes closed as you took a mental snapshot of the precious moment you shared between the love of your life. Special moments you cherished beyond belief.
You lifted your head from his chest to look back up into those big beautiful brown eyes, “And you are my whole heart too. Defective as it is.” You giggled already wanting to make light of the situation. It was treatable. You’d be fine. You were loved and cherished. You had the love of your life holding your hand walking the path with you. What more could you ask for?
He tisked, leaning down and kissing the tip of your nose, “I love your perfectly defective heart.”
You snorted shaking your head gently, “That’s an oxymoron Bradley.”
He rolled his eyes, “Who cares. You’re perfect the way you are sweetheart. I love you. Pease don’t ever hide something like that from me again though, I’m here for you every step of the way.” He leaned down giving you a sweet kiss on the lips not daring to take it any further in fear of kicking your heart into A Fib. You’d never hear the end of those jokes if he did though.
After he backed off you nodded in response, “I’m sorry. I just freaked out. It was so dumb.” You sighed embarrassed for your own actions. It sounded so stupid out loud.
“’S okay baby.” He lazily grinned squeezing you at the hip, “I get it. But you have to remember it’s not just you anymore. I’m here. For the good. The bad. The ugly. And your worst. All of it baby.”
Your smile could light up a thousand rooms that’s how good he made you feel, “I don’t deserve you Bradley Bradshaw.”
He shook his head wrapping both his arms around your middle pulling you as close as you could be to him, “Hardly sweetheart. You’re everything and more. All that I want and need. More than I could ever ask for. It’s you and me.” He kissed you once more letting your hands wander all over his body. As much as he wanted too he knew he couldn’t. Not until your heart was figured out. He refused to be the reason you were hurting.
Reluctantly, he pulled back admiring your stare. You too were deeply in love with the man. All the love seeped out of your eyes through those blown out pupils and deeply blushing cheeks. Bradley got every emotion to bubble right to the surface exposing you right down to your core.
You leaned your head to his chest listening to the steady rhythm of his chest. A sound you’d grown to find comfort in over the years, “I love you Bradley.”
“I love you too baby.” He kissed your head once more, “Now sleep. Doctors’ orders.”
You nodded letting the darkness take over, “If the doc ordered it, guess I have to.”
You fell asleep the soft vibrations of the gentle chuckle that left his body. No matter what state you were in you never ceased to amaze him. He couldn’t wait to take the next step with you. To make you his wife. That was next. Certainly soon.

From one wedding... (Rúben Dias x Reader)
**Naturally, after seeing Rúben at Bernardo's wedding, I got some requests to do a wedding related imagine. The person who requested here on Tumblr was @mountsgirl and I think I managed to do the request as close to what was requested as possible. I already had another wedding imagine from a couple of months ago and my aim was to make them different enough that you wouldn't feel you're just reading the same thing twice. Also, the title is explained in the imagine. Enjoy!! ❤️**

“Tomorrow is the big day”.
“You say it as if it was us getting married and not your friends”, you laughed, falling on the bed and wincing.
“What’s wrong?”
“My back still hurts. I knew we should have taken the sunscreen bottle to that cave expedition you wanted us to do”.
“Let me see”.
You took your shirt off so Rúben could see your back and flinched a little when he touched the still sensitive area.
“It looks much better. You can barely tell it’s red anymore”.
“Really?”
“Want me to put some more cream on it?”
You nodded, thankful for his help. Your dress for the wedding showed half of your back and the last thing you wanted was for everyone to see a big ugly sunburn.
“That feels nice”, you said, closing your eyes and enjoying the cooling effect of the cream and the way Rúben’s hand massaged your skin.
“Done”, he said, kissing the back of your neck.
“Thank you! Let’s go to bed now. Long day tomorrow but I can’t wait to see you wearing a suit”.
“I was wearing one the day we met”.
“And that’s how you tricked me into dating you”, you joked, pecking his lips and going to the bathroom to brush your teeth.
Rúben stared at you and then kept staring at the closed door. He had been feeling some type of way lately, and the wedding you were about to attend only made that feeling bigger. But he shook his head and got those ideas out of his head. It was too soon.
**
Between the slight jet lag you had from your time in America and how early you had to wake up, you began the day already exhausted. Your eyes kept closing and you tried your hardest to stay awake.
“That coffee isn’t helping”.
“Don’t mock me, Rúben. I’m so tired”.
“Yeah, me too. Maybe we could sleep a little. I think we have another hour until we get there”.
“Can’t”, you groaned.
“Why?”
You and Rúben had never been on a long car trip together so he didn’t know. “I get travel sick when I’m on long drives like this one. But it’s better if I don’t sleep. Don’t ask me why”, you shrugged. “It’s how it works”.
“Well, we can’t have that. Is there anything that helps?”
“Funnily enough, looking outside of the car. Apparently, I get sick because I’m moving but I’m also not moving so my brain doesn’t understand what’s going on. And so seeing the outside moving helps. I don’t know, I read that in an article once”.
“You and your I read that in an article once”, he laughed and you hit him in the chest, making him laugh harder.
Once he was done laughing, Rúben moved to sit in the middle of the back seat to be closer to you. He turned you slightly so you could still look outside of the window and he could bring you closer to him to hug you.
“Let’s talk about what we see. Concentrate on that”.
Smiling, you did just that and started to describe the mountains and the little houses you saw sometimes. Not only did it help you not feel bad, but it also made the whole trip go by so much quicker.
“We are here. Let’s find our room”.
Rúben took your hand and a couple of minutes later, you were in your room. You placed your dress on the bed, carefully, and started to unpack all the things you needed to get ready.
“I’m going to need your help, Dias. Don’t get too comfortable”.
“With what? I can’t do your make-up. I mean, I can. But you don’t want me to”.
“Just with little things in general. Please”.
“No need to use puppy eyes. I was going to help you anyways”.
While he was helping you get ready, Rúben couldn’t help but go back to those thoughts he had been having lately. You looked so adorable wearing one of his old shirts and moving around the room getting all the things you needed.
“Last one, please”, you said and he gave you another roller to put on your head. “Rate how sexy I look from 1 to 10”.
“80”.
“Wait until I put the black face mask on. It’ll be a 100!”
“Can I have a kiss first?”
You leaned down to kiss Rúben before running to the bathroom again to put on your mask. The smile on your face couldn’t be bigger and his was matching yours.
"So you had the rollers on but now have to curl the hair anyways. It doesn’t make sense”.
“It actually does, hence why I did it like this”.
“If you say so…what else can I do?”
“Why don’t you start getting ready?”
“I don’t take as long as you. I’m fine”.
You moved the curling iron away from your face to laugh properly. “You don’t take long to get ready…right”.
“So funny! But I mean today. I just have to put the suit on and brush my hair”.
“Can I brush your hair? Please!!”
“Sure”, now it was his turn to laugh.
Once your hair and make-up were done, you and Rúben started to get dressed. You kept trying to look in the mirror to see how red your back looked and Rúben noticed.
“It’s fine. Not red at all. Does it hurt?”
“Not really. Can you take a photo so I see how it looks? I could always wear a jacket to cover the area, even if it would look terrible with this dress”.
He took the photo and showed it to you. And you were so relieved to see the skin was back to a normal colour. It still hurt a bit but no one would know.
“Do you like the dress?”, you asked, spinning around the room.
“I love it. And the colour looks great on you”.
“Thank you. I liked it better in white but obviously had to go for this shade instead”.
“White?”, now Rúben’s mind went back to those feelings that wouldn’t leave. “I wanted to see you wearing the white dress”, he said, almost to himself.
“I can’t wear white to someone else’s wedding”, you laughed, not understanding his comments.
“Of course”.
“Give me the brush now. I want to play with that gorgeous fluffy hair you have”.
Sitting down on the bed, you positioned yourself in between his legs and started to brush his hair gently.
"Ready!", you winked. And you both made your way to the ceremony.
**
The wedding venue was so stunning you had to remind yourself that you should be looking at the ceremony and not at your surroundings. Rúben noticed and he put his arm around your shoulders, bringing you closer to him so he could whisper.
“We’ll come back here another time so you can see the area better, ok?”
You nodded, smiling. You were having the same idea at the moment. And even if Rúben didn’t know, other ideas he had were also reciprocated by you. But you weren't going to tell him.
Everyone gathered around the newlyweds to congratulate them and take photos. And when it was your turn, Rúben gave Bernardo a little “friendly” push. Bernardo looked as shocked as he always did when Rúben hit him, even if he should be used to it by now, and moved to hide behind his now wife.
"You can't be violent near a pregnant woman".
"Rúben, I told you your wedding gift was not hitting poor Bernardo", you said, slapping his arm.
"But it's fun".
"Psycho", said you and Bernardo at the same time, making Ines laugh.
More photos were taken, some with you in them but most of them with just Rúben and his teammates. You didn’t mind, not really enjoying being seen much on social media. But you did check the photos other people were taking and noticed one of Rúben’s friends added an interesting caption.
“Look”, you said to him, showing him the photo.
“What is it?”
“The caption”.
He read it and when he got to the end, he looked at you quickly. Why were you showing him that?
“Who’s next? Well, Ines didn’t throw her bouquet to the guests so we don’t know”, he laughed uncomfortably.
“You know? There is a saying in Spanish that says “de una boda sale otra”, which is like from one wedding we get another one. The caption reminded me of that”.
“Would you like it if there was another wedding soon?”
You looked up at him, trying to understand the meaning behind that question but he looked away. “I guess. It’s fun to attend them. And I get to see you wearing a suit”.
“It’s fun, yeah”, you wanted to say something to him but he spoke first. “They look so in love”.
You nodded and hugged Rúben’s arm before putting your head on his shoulder. “I like to think that’s how we look when people look at us”.
He kissed your head and kept looking at the band that was playing music, enjoying the moment. And also hoping that you both looked like that when people looked at you.
After a few hours of dancing and chatting with all the other guests, it was time to go back to the room.
“The gifts they got for the guests are so adorable. I even got pyjamas to wear while we’re here with my initials on them. You know how I love those silly details”.
“I didn’t get any pyjamas”.
“You’ll have to sleep naked then, Rúben. Terrible news but what else can we do?”
Rúben slapped your bum when you walked towards the bathroom but there were no more playful looks when you got out, wearing the white pyjamas Ines had picked for the female guests. They looked like something the bride would wear. It was a little inside joke she found funny and so did you. For Rúben…it only made those feelings harder to contain.
“Have you seen a ghost?”, you asked, walking to stand in between his legs while he just stared at you. “Or are you going to be super corny and say you saw an angel?”, you laughed.
“Marry me”.
“What?”
“I’m stupid”, he said, standing and moving away from you.
“Why would you be stupid?”
“I’ve been thinking about proposing for months now. And thinking about all the big gestures I could do because you deserve that. And now I just let these feelings I’ve had all weekend take over and just ask you like that…and I shouldn’t even ask you. We haven’t been dating for that long. I don’t want to scare you away. But…”.
“Stop talking”, you said, standing now in front of him and placing your index finger on his lips. “I’ve been having the same feelings, or thoughts, whatever you want to call them. But I didn’t want to scare you”.
“Really?”
You nodded. “And I don’t need gestures or you getting down on one knee or whatever. I just need you to really mean it when you say you want to marry me. So…do you really mean it?”
“I do”.
“Then let’s do it!”

How are you?
An old ask but I wanted to use it for my holiday fic.
They can Wait
Jonah Hauer-King x first person reader
Warnings: anxiety, sexual situations, not proofread
“You sure we’re not going to wake them?” Jonah whispers before we even set foot on my parents porch.
“No, definitely not.”
“Maybe we should get a hotel for the night.”
Our breath clouds in the crisp fall air, illuminated by the moon and the ruddy orange street lights that line my parents street. I’ve been living in England for the past few years with my boyfriend, Jonah. And tomorrow, or rather today is Thanksgiving.
“I already told my mom before we boarded in Chicago that we’d be in very late, Jonah. I promise they’re asleep and we won’t wake them. Trust me.”
Jonah stands by the car, his hands shoved in his pockets as he bounces on his heels, his usual tell that he’s nervous.
“What’s wrong, babe? You’ve met my parents before.”
“I don’t know,” he says with that adorable British accent.
“My parents love you, they’re excited to see you.” I walk over to him and wrap my arms around his puffy coat. “Come on let’s get inside and get warm and go to sleep, okay?”
“Okay,” he concedes, craning his neck down to give me a quick kiss.
I grab his hand and locate the key under the rock my parents have always hid it under and unlock the door. It’s dark in their house but I can smell the food my mom started cooking early.
“Come on up the stairs,” I whisper leading Jonah.
“I feel like a teenager sneaking into my girlfriends house while her parents sleep.”
I laugh quietly. “Well there’s a few things wrong with that statement. Number one we aren’t teenagers and number 2 my parents are very aware of your being here.”
“I’m sleeping with you, right?” Jonah asks as we round the corner to my room.
“Unless you wanna go sleep with my parents?” I tease. “Yes of course you’re sleeping with me.”
“You’re parents won’t find it…unsavory that we’re sleeping together? Like in the same bed?” Jonah asks shutting my door as quietly as possible to my room.
I throw my bags onto my old bed and turn to face him. “Jonah, they’re pretty much aware that we’re together and have been for well over a year now. We’re also both adults and not 17. I think they’d find it odd if we didn’t sleep in the same bed.” I slide my shoes off. “Why are you so nervous?”
“I dunno,” Jonah runs a hand through his already disheveled hair. “I think I’m just a bit jittery from the plane.”
I walk over to him and slide my hands up his shirt. He tenses immediately. “Why don’t we take this off then and get you into bed so you can relax.”
“Y/n…” Jonah whispers. “Maybe I should sleep with clothes on.”
I arch an eyebrow at him. “You never sleep with a shirt on…at this point I don’t want you to sleep with a shirt on.” I roll my eyes. “Just relax, Jonah.” I stand in my tip toes and kiss him. I press my lips against his and automatically I want more. I open my mouth to deepen the kiss but Jonah stops me.
“What?” I whisper.
“You know what that kind of kiss leads to.”
“Yeah…and?”
“We can’t have sex in your parents house!”
I scoff and change into my oversized shirt I always sleep in, and crawl into the bed. I’m too lazy to brush my teeth I just need sleep. The jet lag is going to hit me hard tomorrow. Jonah enters the bathroom that connects to my room and I hear the faucet turn on and the toilet flush. Eventually, he crawls into bed with me and I’m happy when I feel that he decided to take his shirt off. He pulls me into him, and scoots against me, his arm holding me as he laces his fingers with mine.
“I love you,” he whispers.
I start to turn in the bed and be loosens his grip on me so he can hold me the whole time.
“I love you too.”
The next morning, I wake up and Jonah is already out of the bed. I’m shocked to see that he’s not even in the bathroom. I hear laughter downstairs and head in that direction. The smell of coffee hits me as soon as I open the door. I throw on the jeans I had on yesterday and throw my hair up into a messy ponytail.
I make my way downstairs hearing more laughter and…I’m pretty sure that’s Jonah talking.
“No see in England, we call them ‘indicators’.”
“Indicators?” My dad says and laughs. “Well I’ll be damned.”
I make my way down the last step and somehow draw both their attention to me.
“Good morning darling,” Jonah says from the sofa next to my dad.
My dad gets up and holds out his arms. “Y/n!” He pulls me into a tight hug and kisses the top of my head. “Nice guy you’ve got here,” he says to me.
“Yeah I like him a little.”
He lets me go and Jonah’s arm is already outstretched on the sofa for me to sit in front of.
“How’d this happen?” I whisper to him before kissing his lips quickly.
“What?”
“You being all chummy with my dad. Last night you were nervous wreck.”
My dad laughs loudly from the kitchen as he pours 2 cups of coffee. He sets mine down and sits on the recliner across from us. “You should have seen him this morning. He was looking for the shower and walked straight into mine and your mom’s room. Only thing was I was headed out so we smacked right into each other!”
Jonah laughs and shakes his head sheepishly.
“And me, totally forgetting you and your boyfriend would be here, I almost killed the guy! Had him in a headlock and all!”
“Oh my god, dad!”
“Luckily your mom saved him. Reminded me you and your boyfriend were probably here…I almost crushed his windpipe.”
I look at my dad mouth wide open and can’t help but laugh. “Jesus, dad.”
“Hey I may be old but your old man can still kick some ass…even if he is 6’1 and 20 years younger than me.”
My dad gets back up and goes back into the kitchen. “Jonah… you should have woke me up…”
“It’s fine really, I think he likes me.”
“He almost killed you.”
“But he likes me! And your mom said I was handsome,” Jonah blushes.
The rest of the holiday played out perfectly. My parents both love Jonah and asked us to extend our stay through the rest of the weekend. Jonah immediately said yes without even talking to me first.
My parents to go bed early and Jonah and I are washing up the dishes before we head to bed ourselves. I’m elbow deep in dish water when I feel Jonah directly behind me. He wraps his arms around the front of my body and pulls me back against him. His lips go to my neck and he’s kissing me so softly.
“Jonah…”
“What?” He says against my neck. His breath tickles my skin.
“You’re supposed to be drying the dishes,” I whisper this because his hand travels down my stomach then down my pants. My back arches into him as I feel his fingers against my panties.
Jonah hums into my neck. “Can’t focus on that right now.” His finger slips into my underwear and straight to my clit. “Already so wet for me,” Jonah whispers.
I shudder at the immediate pleasure that radiates through my body. My hands grip the counter as he traces delicate circles against my clit. My breath comes out in quick spurts and I desperately want to move my hips with the rhythm of his finger, but I know that’ll send me over the edge. I grab his wrist and pull his hand out of my pants. I turn to face him before he has a chance to protest. My eyes immediately go down to the evident bulge in his pants. It takes everything out of me not to get on my knees and suck him off. I can’t not here in the kitchen.
“Last night you were too worried to kiss me and now you’re fingering me in my parents kitchen?” I raise an eyebrow at him.
“I didn’t think you’d mind,” Jonah smirks.
He’s got me there. I want more.
“What’s gotten into you? I’m not complaining I’m just curious.”
“I think I was just so anxious I couldn’t focus on anything else than being anxious. Now all that is gone I’m just really…really-”
Cutting him off, I grab Jonah’s hand and lead him upstairs.
“What about the dishes?” He asks now whispering as we pass my parents bedroom.
“They can wait.”

My Idiot - Adam Cole x Emery
Part of my Dark Angel of the Bullet Club Series
Tag List: @summertimefun1982 @blxxckheart @regalbanshee
Words: 1016
(border by)
“I hope you guys don’t mind—I’ve got a guest—” Adam smiled as he got comfortable in his chair.
“What guest—” Breeze began to ask, before Emery wheeled her chair into the frame, causing Creed to gasp.
“No—”
“Heyyyyy Creed,” Emery smiled devilishly, waving her fingers at the camera.
“It’s you.” Creed seethed, his eyes wide.
“Yepp, Lil ole me. Didn’t ya miss me?”
Emery watched in amusement as Creed began talking to himself, looking down at his desk to avoid the camera.
“We haven’t even begun and Creed’s losing it!” Breeze yelled in amusement, leaning back in his chair as he laughed.
“No—no, you don’t understand—” Creed started, trying to tell Breeze and Claudio about what happened the last time he and Emery met for a game.
“Now now, Creed. That’s water under the bridge,” Emery gently told him, Adam sitting beside her with a huge grin on his face, “All in the past. Let’s forget and forgive—and move on—”
“Forget and forgive?!”
“I didn’t realize this would be a thing,” Adam laughed.
“Why is she there?” Creed asked him, stone-faced.
“Britt had her over, but she had to go to the office,” Adam explained, “I knew we’d be doing this, so I invited her to watch. Besides, Ree and I haven’t had the chance to hang out much.”
“Yeah, it’s nice. Like old times,” Emery agreed with a smile, before putting on a sad face, “But, if it’s really that much of a problem, I’ll leave...” She got up from her chair and walked out of frame, as Creed cheered.
“Thank the Lord!”
“Nah nah nah!” Breeze interjected, “I like seeing you sweat man—Chugs, bring her back!”
“No!”
“C’mon! Swiss, What’cha say, man? Majority rules here.”
“Swiss—” Creed warned, but to no avail.
“I say... bring the lady back.”
Adam laughed as Emery slid back into the frame, gently plopping back into her chair with a smile on her face.
“Fine,” Creed grumbled, leaning back in his chair.
“I don’t know why she wants to watch this though- Chugs always loses anyhow,” Breeze cackled.
“Ah come on man!”
“Hey now—if I remember correctly, the one who lost most of the games last year was Creed,” Emery said, defending Adam.
“Thank you!” he smiled to her, at the same time Creed objected.
“Hey! I did not--!”
“Actually, you did,” Claudio agreed, “I can bring up the numbers if you’d like.”
“Let’s just play—” Creed frowned, grabbing his controller and connecting to Uno.
“Tell you what, Creed, to make it interesting for you,” Emery told him, but he brushed it off, pretending to not be interested; Breeze was listening with a huge smirk on his face though, and even Claudio seemed to be listening, “If Adam happens to, for some reason, place in third or fourth tonight—I’ll eat a whole lemon.”
“A whole lemon?” Creed repeated, finally showing he was paying attention to her, “Not a single wedge, not a half of a lemon—a whole lemon?”
“The whole thing—minus the rind and seeds,” Emery nodded, “That enough to perhaps get you to cool your jets?”
“…. Fine.”
“So, while you guys start- I’m going to raid your fridge,” she said, looking over at Adam, “See if you have a lemon or not. If not, it’ll have to be an I owe you that I’ll film later with you guys.”
“Deal,” Creed nodded, jumping on in instantly as the game started.
Forty-five minutes later, the score wasn’t looking too good. Claudio had one win and was at 142 points, Adam had one win and was at 119 points, Breeze had two wins and was at 403 points, and Creed had two wins while at 388 points. If either Breeze or Creed won their current round, Adam would be in last place.
After raiding his fridge, Emery had returned to the room lacking a lemon and promised to do the punishment at another time—and Creed was sure to hold her to it.
“C’mon, switch with me, c’mon—” Adam pleaded as he looked through his near twenty cards, his finger ready to hit the jump-in button should it come up.
“Let it happen, boys—let it happen!” Breeze cackled, only having three cards—correction, two cards in his hand.
“Chugs this is gonna be on you,” Creed told him, playing a green 9.
“No, don’t leave it up to me! C’mon, guys!” Adam cried, a smile on his face as Claudio played a special card.
“Garbage man—Garbage!” Breeze griped, as his cards were shown to everyone. A yellow plus two and red four.
“Okay, Chugs—get ’im,” Claudio encouraged.
“I can’t get him! Uh---” Adam frantically looked through his cards as Emery watched silently. She would not get involved, no matter how much she wanted to.
“You got this,” Emery told him confidently, her shoulder sagging in dismay as Adam quickly played a green four.
“Chugs--!” Creed exclaimed, as Breeze quickly put down his red four and pressed the uno button.
“LET IT HAPPEN BOYS!” Breeze yelled excitedly.
“Hurrrrrrt’m,” Creed said, as he put down a red skip, causing Claudio to gripe at him, “C’mon Chugs, hurrrrrrt’m.”
“I uh--- I---” Adam panicked, scrolling through his cards. Emery watched with bated breath, her eyes widening as he stopped on one card. “This is all I got to hurt him with--!”
She facepalmed as he placed down a blue draw two, confident it would work; instantly, the whole group was in an uproar as Creed and Claudio called foul, and Breeze cackled loudly as he put down his yellow plus two, effectively winning the game.
“Thanks for the bonehead play there Chugs!”
“Ah, noooo!” Adam cried out, slouching back in his chair, his palm smacking his forehead.
“You’re such an idiot,” Emery shook her head, a soft smile on her face. Adam dropped his hand, looking over at her with his own smile.
“Well, at least I’m your idiot, right?”
“For the past seven years, you sure are.”

I might end up giving these two colors, too...
Spoilers just in case
Forgot Someone(s)
"SUNNY!"
The pair of voices broadcast to every audio source in the barracks, and Freija glanced up from her disassembled Explosive Personality. "I think your friends have been worried," she teased, grinning.
Sunny continued drawing on her table, tiny scratching noises barely audible through the closed glass cover. "Can we invite them over? I have to finish this."
"Sure." Freija waited to see how hacked their living room was.
The Ghosts appeared, one in a plain black Crucible counter shell and the other rippling with rainbows under a sweeping growth of solidified Light.
Neither bothered acknowledging Freija, scanning the room briefly before jetting over the table. "You were home for a whole week and never called?!" cried one.
"You died and you didn't tell us!?" howled the other.
"Home twice!"
"Yeah, home twice!"
Sunny, using their commlink, said, "We've been busy."
Freija brushed past the Ghosts and tapped the edge with a fingertip. "Love you, Sunny Bun. I'll let you guys talk." She kissed her fingers and tapped the table again, then redirected to their guests. "Nice to see you again. Don't break anything."
The Ghosts gave Freija affirmative bobs and she strode off.
"So this is the table?" asked This One. "I wouldn't expect this quality from her."
"Why not?"
"Dunno. She just seems the type to force things together instead of make them fit, you know?"
"Fair enough."
"Why didn't you contact us when you got back?!" cried Harmony.
"It's been a lot," Sunny huffed. "Freija has been doing her usual falling-to-pieces after something too big happened--"
"Something too big?" echoed This One. "Your death? Too big? Is this the phrase we're really going to use?"
"Your Guardian certainly is known to be sensitive but you died!" Harmony pressed.
"Did Rex snitch?"
"We knew when it happened! But then you came back and you showed up here, and we figured we had to be wrong! But then --"
"So he did snitch."
"We asked!" cried Harmony. "We couldn't find you to ask, you were in Banner at the time, so we asked him and he told us!"
Sunny groaned and they heard her tap the glass, probably on accident.
"I did die. Temporarily," Sunny admitted. "I've been inside a lot because Freija has had a really hard time with it. She's doing better, but there's occasionally--"
"What was it like?" Harmony interjected. "I'm sorry your Guardian is going to pieces, but we might as well listen to This One complain about fieldwork, it's shorter."
Sunny hardly missed a beat. "It hurt so much I couldn't stop screaming, and then I couldn't feel or see anything and all I could hear was Freija telling me I could rest now," she huffed. "Cayde brought me back."
"What was it like to be resurrected?" asked This One.
"Like.... Imagine if all your sensors are turned off, and then they start coming on, not one by one but just really slowly all at once. So you can hear narrow frequencies and see lights, which broaden into our normal ranges. It took nearly a minute for everything to feel alive again, and... If I'm perfectly honest, I completely understand the grogginess of their earlier resurrections. I've heard Guardians say the first ones are the worst, but I can't imagine that being any better. I hope I never find out."
"What was it like to be one with the Traveler again?" Harmony asked.
"Like.... Being... Home. If Freija had been in with me, I don't think I could have felt any more complete. I could really truly rest if she died with me."
"You were still bound to your Guardian? Even dead?" asked This One.
"I wanted to be. I could have let go. I'm sure lots of dead Ghosts try to hang on as long as they can. I would have, I think. After long enough."
"So how do you think the Ghost-Guardian connection works?" asked Harmony. "We didn't lose our ties, just our source, during Red War, I didn't think we would be enough of ourself to hang on in death."
Sunny took a while to answer.
"I think we, Ghosts, are conduits, as it's been determined. But... we deliver Light as an inert source of energy, which has to meet the spark of a Guardian to meet its potential. So as soon as we make that connection, we've made it until we unmake it. So we find, then fuel, the spark, which turns into the Light use we know as it is, where it.... Well, for an analogy, from water into steam or fuel into a fire or some other way to indicate a massive transfer or translation or translocation of energy."
Harmony bounced wildly and spun in place. "Ohh, that lines up with Kelly's back burner theory. She's working on the-- anyway, the Light! The Light is the Traveler's strength, but it gets it from everyone! And Guardians, especially, but humans, and probably even the Krill and Eliksni make Light. Or feed it, respond to it so strongly that in sharing in the Traveler's gifts, growing, they are strengthening it."
"So... It feeds on literal growth and development?" asked This One. "Good one."
"Why the violence?" sighed Sunny. "Why do they have to blow things up?"
"They were getting blown up," said This One. "It's not unreasonable."
Sunny groaned again.
"What are you drawing?"
"A thing," Sunny huffed. "I'm sorry I didn't contact you guys, but I really have been busy with Freija. And myself, because I kind of did the same thing she did and it's been slower but I'm getting unsteady about my death, too."
"Do you feel different?"
"After having been dead? Not really. It's the healed damage that makes me feel different. The Witness tried to rip me apart, and it loosened my sense of being attached to my shell... Do you guys think we can take the shell off? Our core?"
"I've never tried," said Harmony.
"I'm certain we're too pressurized to allow any sort of weakness or give in the structure containing us," This One said. "What did you feel that makes you ask?"
"It.... I got really hurt."
"We knew."
"So while I was cracked up like that, I spilled it, but it wasn't really acting pressurized, even though the Light was so close to the surface we could see it. And we're made of Light itself. I don't know, it just made me wonder."
"Maybe look into some of the morbid stuff in the forbidden chunks of library?" suggested This One.
"Good one."
The three hovered in silence for several seconds.
"I'm glad you didn't stay dead," Harmony said eventually. "What happened?"
"Cayde, who was also a construct of the Light, sent his Light into my shell. Which is part of why I said what I do about the connection. It was his Light, then it was just Light, and then it became mine, but at no point were we connected like Guardian and Ghost, and at no point was I disconnected from Freija."
This One asked, "What were your last thoughts?"
The silence rang. Harmony and This One glanced at each other, and Harmony was just about to excuse the question when Sunny barely mumbled, "Goodbye, Freija."
The silence that followed managed to be casual and uncomfortable at the same time, and eventually, the hiding Ghost said, "The last thing I said was, "it just hurts." Because she's said it to me a million times. She'll be in so much pain, over and over, trying to do the stupidest things, and when I finally beg her to stop, that's what she says. I knew she meant it was worth it. But I didn't know how true it was. But she was starting to give after I screamed, and I said 'don't' and 'it just hurts'."
"It hurt me, too," agreed This One.
"Yeah. I can't imagine trying to do it with a compromised shell," Harmony seconded.
"I don't recommend it."
The table finally cracked open and the glass became transparent.
Impressed into one end was Sunny's winter lotus shell featuring the ears of Hareball, with the planets of Sol laid in front of it, from Mercury to Neptune.
"Not bad," said This One.
"Not bad?!" echoed Harmony.
Sunny turned the lights on.
A string of tiny LEDs lit one side, bouncing off a mirror under the lip and shining on carefully shaped ridges, which cast a long, witness-shaped shadow over the planets. As they watched, the lights moved, illumination crawling around the edge to spill light over the planets from the other side of the Ghost and making the Witness fall away. Sunny had carved the Ghost in just right to get the best light off it, giving it definition without blocking off the solar system. Finally, a second set of lights on the other end of the table illuminated a giant arc of the Traveler, carved specifically to bounce the light around inside its circle and shine bright, almost glaring on the glass above.
"And the Light is blocked by the Witness in the beginning," Sunny added as the lights blinked out and started over. "I don't know if I can let Freija see it, but the lights are a recent change and I know she'd love to see them used."
Sunny finally turned to her friends to see their reactions, but both had begun hovering face down over the thing, watching it loop as Sunny perfected the timing.
"You mentioned you were an artist," said Harmony. "Wow!"
"Can I look inside the table?" asked This One. "What's going on here?" He didn't touch but he got close enough to worry Sunny, and she ushered him away.
"I'll let you look at the schematics, but Freija is the only one allowed in the mechanism." The sparkling Ghost bumped into Harmony, then accepted the gentle bump from This One. "I am sorry I didn't contact you. I'm glad to see you. It really has been a lot."
"We're glad you're not still dead," Harmony said. "We would miss you."
"I'm glad I'm not still dead, too. I did miss you."
"So if being resurrected is like turning on, is dying like turning off?" This One asked.
"No. It's not a simultaneous shutdown of all parts. My vision went first. My hearing went last. I don't know when it was the difference between being wounded and dying. Freija said that's something you do eventually figure out, but I couldn't and still don't want to know. But I kept finding new parts that wouldn't work, new things that went out while I wasn't looking, a complete cascade failure of my shell to maintain the regulation of my Light, and then Freija's voice got through and said I could rest now. So I... Ignored...? Let go? Put the damage out of my mind and knew I was dying and going to die now. And for some reason, that made me feel better, but it made me so sad. And I said goodbye, only I couldn't get my voice to work. So the last thing I communicated to her was a deathwish. I know we did the right thing, but I still feel like Freija is right to be mad at me."
"Are you okay?" asked Harmony.
"Mostly," the Ghost said with a small roll of her shell flaps. "I want to go back to the Pale Heart but we're on a break until she recovers a little better.
"Yeah? I've almost talked Marco into it."
"Sniper practice is an option," hummed Sunny, studying her picture. "I did good."
"Yeah," said Harmony. "I like that you're the hero."
"I originally had my lights go out and let the Traveler shine instead but I left it as a flicker when it's getting brighter and taking your eye off me."
"Nice," said This One. "I think you can still show it to Freija. This really is a fancy table. I imagined a work table with sand on top."
"That was where it started, only the worktop was upside down," Sunny said. "The glass was there first. Then the transparency adjuster. Then the lights. Then the shaker, which will shake the tray and erase the picture when I'm ready for a blank slate, that was the hardest thing we added but it's been worth it. Then the mirrors. Then the other lights, because these are the second set, the programming I can do what them is far superior to the last set. It was her idea."
Harmony and This One circled admiringly. "I didn't know you were that much of an artist," This One said.
"I forgot," said Sunny. "I did it to kill time while I was searching, I would pick a place good for it and scan as wide as I could for bone matter. I told Freija about it during that mess on the Arcology, and she made me the table."
"I can certainly see why you brag on it," said Harmony cheerfully.
"Thank you!"
"Could you still perceive time when you were dead?" This One asked.
"I have no way to measure that."
"Did you sense any capacity for movement?" Harmony inquired.
"Not only was I incorporeal, but I did not exist within a space."
"Any sensory intake?" This One asked.
"Again, not only did I not have a way to sense things, but nothing could be there to sense. The only thing that kept me in myself was remembering Freija."
They paused for a second, then This One said, "How long--" and Harmony tapped him hard on the side.
"Is it anything to do with Freija?" sighed Sunny. "I knew she'd be mortal, I was not certain she would handle that well at all. I could only hope she would learn to compensate before she died."
"I was just gonna ask how long you were gonna hole up inside. We miss you," This One said. "You usually throw enough asides to keep us going when we're out of conversation, and you know any two of us needs the third to moderate before long. You really need to think about yourself a little, you know?"
Sunny wheeled and circled. "I'm still trying to handle it, too. I did a lot today. I might do another piece in another couple of days. Thinking while carving is nice."
"Come out tomorrow night, we can talk about the Pale Heart. Kelly has all kinds of theories to share!" Harmony cheered. "For instance, that the veil was intentionally removed because it didn't like remembering; or the one I mentioned where humans naturally grow Light and that's the spark we find, I'll have to explain that later."
This One and Sunny blinked at Harmony, then bobbed at one another. "Sure," they agreed tentatively.
"Tomorrow night," Sunny confirmed. "I'll be there."

If You Love Her
Characters: Spencer Reid x reader
Summary: Morgan tries to set up Spencer and Reader in the hopes that all they need to get together is a little push. Little does he know, they’ve been together for a while.
Word Count: 948 words
Prompt: secret relationship, fierce kiss, chaste kiss, falling asleep, only one bed.
A/N: This is for the magnificent @marvellover-12 and fabulous @kalliblast as part of my ‘build-a-blurb’ follower celebration.
He couldn’t pinpoint the exact moment he fell for you; it could have been the first time you smiled at him, or when you understood his random Doctor Who reference, perhaps it was the many times you had playfully defended him against Morgan’s teasing. More likely it was a combination of all the little moments, the shy glances, the brush of your hand against his. Spencer knew that finding the exact moment was not important, he was completely in love with you, and he knew you felt the same way.
The past few months had been like a beautiful dream. Secret coffee runs, elaborate excuses as to why neither of you could join the team for drinks, stolen kisses in the break room. This was all so new, and it had been agreed that you didn’t want to share it just yet. Better to see how things progressed, build a solid foundation before you had the team interrogating you both. Not that your behaviour had gone unnoticed.
Being pulled from his bed to jet across the country was never Spencer’s favourite thing; sleep being quite a rare commodity for him at times, yet here he was. The flight was going to be a long one, and after a briefing and looking over the notes he had found his head growing heavy. Stifling another yawn, Spencer tried his best to keep his eyes from closing, aware of Morgan’s studying gaze on him.
A weight suddenly fell on his shoulder, and he glanced down in surprise, smiling softly when he realised you had nodded off and were now using him as an impromptu pillow. Shifting a little, he made sure you were comfy before leaning his cheek against the top of your head. This wouldn’t be the first time a team-mate had fallen asleep in him, so he figured nobody would be suspicious. As he drifted to sleep, he couldn’t help but smile to himself, feeling reassured by your presence.
Morgan watched the two of you curiously. He was well aware of Spencer’s not so subtle crush on you, hell, he’d teased the boy enough about it. The boy genius seemed to drop iq points around you like a tree in fall, not to mention the stuttering over his words. He had to admit though, that over the last few months, the boy wonder seemed to have got his shit together a little better, though the longing looks across the bullpen and the dreamy smile on his lips had only gotten worse. Penelope seemed convinced that his feelings were reciprocated, but nothing would happen as neither of you was the type to make the first move. No, what you needed was a push; the whole team agreed.
You shifted in your sleep, your arm coming up to rest around Spencer’s waist as you let out a soft sigh. Morgan nudged JJ, nodding at the two of you with a smirk, which was quickly dropped when the two of them witnessed Spencer turn his head and place a tender, chaste kiss to the top of your head. It was a gesture of such familiarity and intimacy that Morgan had to grab onto JJ to stop her letting out an excited squeal. Yeah, it was incredibly cute, but it was hardly a conscious act. It did, however, show promise. Perhaps sleepy Spencer would be more open to making that first move, and that is how the ‘fool proof’ plan came to be.
If felt like the longest day ever by the time the team rolled up to the motel. Early morning flights combined with a full day wading through the horrific atrocities left by this killer meant that everyone was practically dead on their feet.
“I’ve got two doubles and the rest are singles, so fight it out amongst yourselves.” Hotch said tiredly as he grabbed a key to a single room and padded off down the corridor.
“Rossi?” Morgan picked up a key and nodded towards the corridor.
“Seriously? Can’t you share with Spence?” the older man grumbled.
“Oh, hell no! Not making that mistake again.” Morgan chuckled, glancing over at JJ.
“You two don’t mind sharing do you? I just want to talk to Will and maybe do that ‘falling asleep together over video call’ thing?” She looked at you both hopefully and it took everything he had to stop Spencer agreeing immediately.
“Sure, I don’t mind sharing with Spencer. I can always get him to read to me.” You chuckled as you picked up the final key. “Come on then roomie, I get first pick of bed though.”
As soon as the motel door closed, Spencer had tossed your bags into the room and cupped your face with his freezing cold hands. You were about to protest when his lips caught yours in a searing kiss that made your lack of sleep and the temperature of his hands irrelevant. Stumbling over to the bed, still tangled up in each other, it took you a few moments to realise that this room only had one bed.
“Do you think they know?” Spencer asked, looking at you with a hint of concern in his eyes.
“About us or about there only being one bed?” You asked with a growing smirk. “Do you think Morgan and Rossi are having the same conversation?”
“You think it’s a genuine mix up?”
“I think it doesn’t matter. I think that I get to share a bed with my gorgeous boyfriend and the BAU picks up the bill.”
“Okay, but we’ll have to be quiet, we don’t know how thin these walls are.” Spencer grinned before pushing you back onto the bed and resuming his kisses.

Nose Taps (spencer reid x reader)
overview: the newest member of the bau develops a cute secret language with the resident genius
genre: fluff
a/n: this is my first fic so my apologies if its bad lol i tried. also its very short sorry ! but yeah lmk if u like it :)
masterlist
From the first day you walked through the doors of the BAU, you were incredibly charming in a unique way. You knew exactly how to talk to everyone, an amazing intuition letting you know just what to do. Spencer's curiosity had fallen on you; he was absolutely enthralled by your entire being.
the first thing that caught his attention was when you hand had accidentally grazed his.
it was a small meaningless gesture as you slipped past him, but he thought about it for weeks afterwards, in a good way. he thought about your smile as you apologized for "bumping into him". he missed the tingles that shot up his arm where your skin met his.
the second thing was much larger, he began to notice your kindness.
on only your second day in the office you stayed late to help hotch with paperwork so he could get home to jack faster. it was not a selfish act to get on his good side, rather an act of complete and utter kindness.
you brought JJ cheetos when she was feeling down because you saw her munching on them on the jet once.
you even got morgan to talk about his feelings for 4 hours one night after something was clearly bothering him. and morgan never talks about his feelings.
though you had just recently met them, you showed them how sweet you were without even trying. and Spencer Reid was no exception.
you stayed attentive to everyone who spoke to you, and when you noticed that people would often interrupt him or brush him off, it didn't sit right with you. after talking to him about it, the two of you developed a system. every time he didn't get to finish his thought, you would tap your nose to show him you noticed and wanted to hear about it later. then, at the end of the day, either in the hotel or on the jet, you would tally up the number of nose taps and he would get to ramble about all of it to you. it wasnt intentionally a secret but it was kept between you two, your little thing.
spencer thought it was the most endearing and kind thing anyone had done for him.
and you ate up every second of it, watching his eyes grow wide and then crinkle at the corners when he grew giddy about a certain statistic or historical story. you didn't understand how anyone could not want to listen to him.
soon, however, the nose taps evolved into something more. a whole little language grew between the two of you.
one nose tap from either party meant "im listening".
two nose taps meant "i have to tell you something".
three meant "i have to tell you asap".
an eyebrow tap meant "this reminded me of you" or "im thinking about you".
so on and so forth.
the team picked up on this little code between the two of you, but couldn't for the life of them understand what it all meant or when it had started. to be fair, they didn't have much time to decode while on cases.
to Spencer, this secret language was his most treasured peice of knowledge. And to you, it was your most treasured secret. and to both, unforgettable.
though Spencer had noticed your striking beauty when he first laid eyes on you, spending tome with you only intensified it. he found himself often marveling at the little details, especially on the jet.
the way your hair fell on your shoulders, the angle of your eyelashes, the blush that graced your cheeks when you laughed, the way you chew on your lip when you're thinking, even the barely noticeable wrinkles you have in your forehead from raising your eyebrows all the time. he was falling helplessly in love with every bit of you.
you did that same to him. admiring the itty bitty bump on the bridge of his nose right above the perfect little button tip, the curls in his hair, the way he puckered up a little as he talked, the way his whole face would crinkle up when he laughed really hard, his eyes squinting so hard they were barely visible. you were falling helplessly in love with every bit of him.
the team had OBVIOUSLY picked up on this, and though they would tease the both of you in private, they didn't dare embarrass you in front of each other. they weren't that sadistic. or so you thought.
one evening at rossis the team decided to have a powerpoint night. everyone chose a funny topic to make a power point and present about.
jj went first, presenting the slideshow titled "ways my clashing aesthetics present themselves through my sons"
next went morgan: "reasons i should be allowed to not wear a shirt under my bullet proof vest".
followed by Rossi who did "list of the fakest Italians weve ever encountered (they cant even pronounce gnocchi)"
after him was prentiss with "things i did while pretending to be dead"
and then hotch who made "ranking the bau from most to least childish"
then you went with "animals i think all of you resemble"
followed by reid who did "top 5 worst hospitals based on jello rating"
and last but not least, garcia. she went with "agents i think should just get married already we are literally not getting any younger"
you all laughed until the slide moved and there was a picture of Spencer and you, asleep on each other on the jet. his arm was wrapped around you protectively as you were cuddled up to his chest. you looked over at spencer who was matching your bright red face.
"y/n and spencer." garcia spoke before clicking to the next slide.
"wow she just cut right to the chase huh," prentiss laughed.
more images that the team had sneakily taken of the two of you riddled the screen.
one of you braiding his hair. one of him wiping frosting on your face from your birthday. on of the two of you mid laugh, mirroring each other exactly. a few more of you two on the jet, on cases, or even out at bars or at rossis with the rest of the team. so many of them and as much as you were embarrassed, you really loved all of those pictures.
"i really dont think i need to explain much, these speak for themselves," garcia chirped.
"i like that one," reid spoke up, pointing to the braiding one. ok so were going about that like this.
"i was just about to say that, but this ones also a close contender," you replied pointing to the frosting one.
"and that my friends, concludes my slide show!" garcia laughed.
"wait seriously? just us?" you laughed.
"yea.." she started, a giddy smile decorating her face. you looked over at Spencer and tapped your nose twice. he did it back but three times, cracking a cheesy grin. "see! and they have their little secret nose code thing! is that not relationship material?"
"you guys noticed?" spencer asked, clearly oblivious.
"duh." rossi joked.

Prompt - I have for the first time found what I can truly love. I have found you.
—————————————————–
You and Aaron had had a long week at work, each on separate cases but both equally as drained as the other. Your job saw you travelling to and from New York each day, working for one of the states best law firms, it was hard working your way up but you did it and now you were dealing with high profile cases day in and day out.
This case was particularly gruelling but it was finally finished and you had won. It was a small victory for the family but it was a victory nonetheless.
Aaron was working on his own case, he had been in Las Vegas for the past four days dealing with a serial killer who was targeting families. The unsub was organised, too organised, and more families were killed before they finally caught a break. From there it had been a matter of hours before they caught the man and the team was back on the jet.
Aaron finished up on the phone before dropping down into his seat beside Rossi who raised an eyebrow at him.
“Short of an emergency we all have Friday and Monday off, I don’t want to see any of you for four days.” Aaron announced to the jet, smiling as it was filled with cheers and laughter.
“So, big plans?” Rossi asked, smirking at Aaron who just rolled his eyes.
“I plan on doing absolutely nothing.” Aaron replied with a smile, already thinking of how great it would be to spend a long weekend with you and Jack, it had been far too long. He had already spoken to you and upon hearing the good news of your case asked if you could get two days off and thanked god that you could.
“I hear you, man.” Derek spoke up from opposite Rossi. “Four whole days of nothing but me and my girl.”
“What about you, kid?” Rossi asked, looking at Spencer who sat opposite Aaron.
“There’s a film festival I really wanted to go to actually, it's showing a bunch of different films in their original language.” Spencer told him and the grin on his face was enough to stop any teasing.
“Have a good time, pretty boy.” Derek smiled back, ruffling the younger man's hair causing him to pout.
Aaron couldn’t help but smile at the scene but as much as he loved this family, he couldn’t wait to get back home to you and Jack.
-
“How hard can cupcakes be, right?” You asked Jack, who stood on a chair in front of the counter. The two of you were staring at the ingredients that were spread out, not knowing where to start. When you suggested Jack make something for Aaron you were thinking more along the lines of a picture but when the kid suggested cupcakes well…you really wanted cupcakes.
“Right.” Jack agreed, grinning up at you.
Turns out it was harder to make cupcakes than either of you thought.
Aaron walked into the house, smiling immediately as he heard Jack giggling madly. He was quick to follow the noise but stopped abruptly as he stared into the kitchen.
“Daddy!” Jack yelled, quickly scrambling off the chair and throwing himself at Aaron who caught him and lifted him with ease despite the cupcake mixture that stuck to his clothes, face and hair.
“Hey buddy,” He grinned, turning his attention to you. There you stood, cupcake mix splatter on your face, in your hair and on your shirt. You looked dejected as you held an electric mixer, clearly the culprit of the cupcake explosion. “It looks like you and Y/N are having fun.” He said with a laugh, watching how you pouted up at him.
“We were gonna make cupcakes for you, daddy, but Y/N put it on too high.” Jack informed Aaron, giggling madly as he did.
“I didn’t know!” You defended, there was a reason you weren’t trusted in the kitchen.
Aaron’s smile grew and he couldn’t wait any longer to move closer to you, the hand that didn’t hold Jack caressed your cheek and he brought you in for a soft kiss. It didn’t last long, how could it with Jack laughing and making kissing noises, but the two of you pulled away with matching, love struck smiles before you and Jack began laughing together at the cupcake batter that was now perched on Aaron’s nose.
He rolled his eyes but couldn’t fight back the smile.
“Alright, alright,” he said, gaining both of your attention, “how about you two get cleaned up and we can all go out for dinner and then get some cupcakes, hm? That sound good?” He asked Jack who nodded with a grin and squirmed for Aaron to put him down. Once he did, Jack shot off to his bedroom and Aaron turned his attention to you.
“You can’t of thought that was a good idea.” He said as he wrapped his arms around your waist, leaning in to steal another kiss.
“The kid said cupcakes, who was I to say no?” You responded when he pulled away, giggling as he trailed kisses to your jaw and then peppered them down your neck.
Your eyes closed as you tilted your head back, giving the man more access and you couldn’t help but whine as he pulled away. The whine quickly turned into a laugh as he leaned closer and licked a blob of batter that had stuck to your neck.
“Go clean up, baby.” He said before kissing your head and untangling himself from you.
You and Jack were quick to clean yourselves up and soon you were all out the door and heading to a restaurant that you often frequented when you had Jack.
-
It felt like forever since you had been out with the Hotchner boys and you enjoyed every minute of it, no annoying work calls pulling one of you away, no looming threat of Aaron being called to a different state. No, just you, Aaron and Jack going out together, eating good food, catching up with each other properly.
It was wonderful.
“Cupcakes now daddy?” Jack asked as the waitress cleared the plates.
“Yeah, cupcakes now daddy?” You echoed with a smirk watching as Aaron playfully glared at you.
“Sure thing buddy,” He said to Jack, causing you to let out a quiet laugh. “Pick which one you want.”
Aaron couldn’t tell you who smiled wider when dessert was brought out, you or Jack. Both of you tucked in with the same hunger and he just smiled at the scene.
When you and Aaron had first met, it was to do with a case he was working on. He never expected it to blossom into this. The friendship was unexpected but not unwelcome and then before either of you had realised it you had developed feelings for one another.
You were quite a bit younger than him and he was hesitant to bring the feelings up, not understanding what you could possibly see in an older, divorced, single father.
That was the other issue, sure you knew about Jack but there was a difference between knowing about him and wanting to be a part of his life and as much as Aaron had liked you he knew he couldn’t bring somebody into his life who couldn’t accept Jack.
So the pining went on for months as Aaron made the decision for you that you didn’t want to be burdened with a child that wasn’t yours. And when you finally pulled Aaron’s head out of his arse and made him talk about the feelings between you, you could have slapped him silly.
Sure kids weren’t exactly your forte but you’d at least have liked the chance to decide that. From there Aaron had introduced you to Jack after the two of you went on a few dates. The two of you decided the best place would be out in public, a little less daunting and that’s how you ended up at the zoo.
Jack had warmed up to you rather quickly and you surprised yourself with how good you were with him. Eventually it was Jack asking if you could have a sleepover at their house rather than Aaron trying to explain that you might be there in the morning sometimes.
Aaron was so glad you had talked him out of his own head way back when, and as he watched you with Jack, he knew, not that there was any doubt, that he’d made the right choice.
-
“Can we watch a movie?” Jack asked as the three of you entered the house.
“Buddy, it’s nearly bedtime.” Aaron reminded him as he took your coat from you before taking his own off.
“Please daddy,” Jack pleaded, turning on the puppy dog eyes, “I’ll brush my teeth and put my pyjamas on.”
He looked at you but you were looking down at Jack with a soft smile and he couldn’t say no if he wanted to.
“Deal, teeth and pyjamas, we’ll meet back here in five.” Aaron said and grinned as Jack took off running.
“C’mere baby,” He mumbled as he pulled you closer to him, wrapping you up in his arms. “I missed you so much.”
“Missed you too.” You confessed into his chest before titling your head up. Aaron was quick to turn his head, leaning down and capturing your lips in a soft, slow kiss. When he pulled away he didn’t go far, resting his head on your forehead.
“Can’t wait to have you all to myself these next few days.” He told you quietly, fingers brushing against your waist.
“Me neither, it’s going to be heaven.” You replied, matching both his tone and the smile on his face.
“Daddy,” Jack’s voice pulled you away from each other and you turned to see the kid grinning up at Aaron showing his freshly brushed teeth and proudly wearing his Captain America pyjamas. “You and Y/N/N need your pyjamas too.”
“Of course we do!” You exclaimed, taking Aaron’s hand in yours and pulling him towards the bedroom with instructions for Jack to put a movie on.
“Really can’t wait to have you all to myself.” Aaron said again as he watched you pull your shirt over your head.
“Down boy.” You laughed, throwing the shirt at him.
Watching you undress made Aaron long to touch you but seeing you dressed in his clothes, sweatpants that were way too big for you and a college shirt that drooped off your shoulders was somehow infinitely sweeter.
“I love you.” He told you, pulling you close to place a kiss on your exposed shoulder.
“I love you too.” You smiled before turning around and kissing him. “Get changed.” You ordered.
“Yes ma’am.” Aaron laughed but did as you said.
Aaron couldn’t help but smile as he held his family in his arms. Jack was half in your lap and half in Aarons and you were sat flushed against him, head resting on his shoulder and your hand holding Jack’s leg.
The movie was still playing but Jack was fast asleep against his chest and you were pretty close to following. Despite that though, Aaron couldn’t bring himself to move and send you both to bed. Instead he tightened his grip on both of you, smiling as you cuddled further into him.
This, this was all he needed, you and Jack by his side. His little family, both of whom had been through so much. All he wanted to do was protect both of you and he would, god would he do anything to protect the pair of you.
You were one of the best things that had happened to him, he had known it since the day he had met you and he had known it two weeks ago when the team finished a case in California and he walked into the jewellers to buy the ring and he knew it now, looking down at you holding onto him and Jack.
He knew you were the best thing to happen to him in a really long time and he would forever be thankful that he had found you.

Place in Me
Pairing: Bucky Barnes x Reader
Words: 6700+
Author's Note: So, this fic is extremely long. I apologize in advance. I also hope you guys enjoy it. I'm worried that it's not up to par but we'll see I guess 🥺🥰 It's loosely based on the song Place in Me by Luke Hemmings. Beautiful song. Uhm, slight enemies to lovers which is unusual for me. Let me know what you though!! xox
"Barnes and L/N, you'll be partnering up," Tony states, and your eyes widen a bit before glancing towards the ex-assassin.
You notice Bucky rolling his eyes while crossing his arms over his chest, leaning back in the chair he's sitting in. "Is that the best plan, Tony? We've never worked together," he questions the man.
"That's the whole point, Manchurian Candidate," Tony mumbles while wagging his finger between the two of you. "You two are the only ones who haven't been on a mission together, so."
You stay quiet as the older man sets the debriefing folder in front of you. Your eyes meet his and you notice a certain emotion swimming in Tony's eyes. He raises his eyebrows slightly and you nod your head.
"You two look those over and then get to the quinjet. It leaves in an hour and your asses better be on it," Tony mentions while walking away from the two of you.
Silence fills the room and you avoid looking at Bucky. Your heart pounds in your chest as a sigh leaves the man's lips. You instinctively lift your gaze towards him, seeing his blue eyes already on you.
Your breath hitches in your throat and you look away, clearing your throat. "So, uh, s-sorry you have to work with me," you mumble loud enough for him to hear.
Bucky tsks before standing up from his chair. Your chest clenches when he doesn't say anything to you, watching the super-soldier walk out of the room. A heavy sigh leaves your lips, glancing down at the files in front of you.
"He'll come around," Steve's voice fills the room and you jump slightly, turning in your chair to see the blonde leaning against the doorframe.
You shake your head at his words, tears pooling in your eyes. "I don't think he will, Steve. H-He'll talk to everyone else except for me? I… I don't even know what I did for him to hate me so much," you sigh, your fingers catching the tears that roll down your cheeks.
Steve walks further into the room and lays a hand on your shoulder. You chew on your bottom lip, breathing heavily through your nose to calm yourself. "He's jus- He's got a funny way of showing people he cares. I doubt he hates you, Y/N," the blonde reassures you, giving you a gentle squeeze.
"Coulda fooled me," you mumble before shrugging his hand off of you, standing up from your seat. "I have to go get ready."
You hold the files to your chest and walk out of the debriefing room, making your way to your quarters. Your lip trembles a bit as you continue to think about Bucky and his cold behavior towards you.
Once you're in the elevator, you let out a shaky breath before glancing at the ceiling. Tears continuously glide down your reddened cheeks and you try to shake the memories from your head.
"Let's just get this over with," you sigh to yourself as the doors open up. You pack all the essentials you'll need for the mission, double-checking that you've got everything before making your way to the quinjet.
You notice Tony standing at the end of the ramp as Bucky walks into the jet, a bag hanging off of his shoulder. "If you truly need to get away from Barnes, let me know okay?" Tony mumbles and you give him a tight-lipped smile, nodding your head in response.
"I should be okay, Tony. Thank you though," you whisper to him before walking onto the ramp of the quinjet.
"You guys got this. I believe in you," Tony reassures the two of you and the ramp proceeds to shut.
You sit as far away from Bucky as you can, fiddling with your fingers for a few minutes before pulling out your headphones. You rest your head against the headrest and decide to rest your eyes.
Bucky looks over at you and wishes that you weren't coming along. In his mind, this mission is way too dangerous for you. You're not a super soldier like him or Steve. You don't have a suit of armor like Tony or Rhodes. You don't have powers like Wanda.
You got your training from Natasha, and sure, Natasha has incredible skills that she learned from the Red Room. But, you're still human. A sigh leaves his lips and tears his gaze from you, deciding to make sure you don't get hurt at all.
-
"Holy shit," you mumble in amazement, looking around the hotel suite that Tony booked for the two of you.
Bucky walks in behind you, not saying anything as he brushes past you. You bite your cheek, your eyes following his figure as the super-soldier makes his way towards the bedroom.
You let out a slight huff of breath, running a hand through your hair. "I thought Tony mentioned there being two beds?" Bucky asks and your eyebrows furrow.
"That's what he said," you mumble while heading towards where he is. "Is there only on-"
"One bed? Yeah," Bucky cuts you off and you gulp, taking a peek into the bedroom to see one bed in the middle of it.
"I-Great," you whisper as the brunette lets out a heavy sigh. "Sorry, Bucky, I didn't-"
Bucky grunts before making his way towards the living area. "I'll take the couch," he states and you slowly close your mouth, the words dying on your lips.
"O-Okay," you whisper loud enough for him to hear, walking into the room you'll be staying in.
You press your lips together before shutting the door, putting some space between you and Bucky. I should've backed out immediately. You think to yourself while setting your bag onto the edge of the bed.
After unpacking your bag, you organize your things so they're easily accessible. You open the file Tony gave you, looking over the schedule of your target. "Aha!" You softly whisper, pointing at the paper while reading how your target generally goes to the restaurant right about now. "I could eat."
You open the bedroom door and step out of the room, looking around for your six-foot-tall co-worker. You furrow your brows at the space, wondering if he's still here or actually left. He'd tell me if he left… right?
Bucky,
I left to go get some food and a little intel on our target. Schedule says he's in the restaurant around this time. See you later.
Y/N
You place the written note near his things so he'll see it before grabbing one of the hotel room keys. You exit the room and make your way to the elevator before pushing the button. The doors open immediately and you step inside, pushing the button to the lobby.
"Hold the door!" A voice shouts and you stick your hand out, stopping the door from closing. "Oh, thank you so much."
"You're welc-" you cut yourself off as you look up at the man, your heart dropping into your stomach.
The man standing in front of you is Gabriel Price, the target you're currently after. The doors to the elevator close once more as the air around you grows thick. "You okay?" He asks and you snap your head up, your eyes meeting his cold ones.
"Y-Yes, sorry. I was… I was stunned by your beauty," you laugh nervously and the man smirks while fixing his tie.
A chuckle leaves Gabriel's lips and he looks down at you. "Well, thank you, darling. You're a sight for sore eyes, yourself," he winks and you bite your lip.
"I-Thank you, sir," you blush, wishing that the elevator would open right about now.
"Please, call me Gabriel," he corrects you before sticking his hand out.
Your eyes glance from his face to his hand before shaking it. "Nice to meet you, Gabriel. I'm Sylvie," you come up with a fake name.
The doors to the elevator open up and you drop his hand before leaving the small space. "I hope to see you around, Sylvie," he grins before walking into the restaurant.
You can feel your hands shake a bit and you let out a deep breath before fishing your phone out of your pocket. You dial Bucky's number, pressing the device to your ear.
"Pick up, please," you beg, your eyes looking around the place to see if the super-soldier is nearby.
When your call goes to voice-mail, you roll your eyes, not even deciding to leave him a message. You slide your phone into your pocket before heading into the restaurant. You notice Gabriel sitting with three other guys at a table near the corner as you walk over to the bar area.
"Hey, can I get some food to go?" You ask the bartender and the woman nods her head before grabbing her pen.
"Of course, sweetie. What can I get ya?" She asks with a smile.
Your eyes roam over the menu and decide to get something small for you and Bucky. "Uhm, can I get the fish and chips and a bacon cheeseburger with fries," you tell her and you watch the woman write it down.
"Absolutely. Do you want to bill that to your room?" She questions and you nod your head in reply, telling her the room you're in. "I'll put it in for you. Should be ready in about fifteen minutes."
"Perfect thank you so much," you smile as she turns to head towards the kitchen.
-
After stealthily watching Gabriel while waiting for your food, you finally make it back to your room. You balance the to-go boxes against one hand while grabbing the room key with the other, unlocking your door.
"Bucky?" You call out after shutting the door with your foot, taking a glance around the room in front of you.
"Yeah?" He mumbles and pokes his head around the corner of the wall, noticing the styrofoam boxes in your hands. "What's that?"
You furrow your brows and quickly wet your lips. "Did you not get my note?" You wonder and Bucky shakes his head. A sigh leaves your lips and you mutter to yourself, "figures."
Bucky picks the note you wrote from the table in front of him as you set the food onto the counter in the kitchenette. "Wait, was he there? The target?" The super soldier asks while walking towards you.
"Yup," you mention and hand the man his food, not meeting his gaze. "Actually met him in the elevator, but you would've known that if you answered your phone."
You brush past him, your shoulder bumping into his as you head towards your room. You stop just before entering the space before turning to face him, feeling the anger flow through your veins. "You know… next time you should just ask for a new partner if you don't want to work with me. No need to be a fucking coward and ignore me. That's how people get hurt, Bucky."
His blue eyes glance towards you just as you slam the bedroom door shut, leaving Bucky to his own devices. The brunette opens the take-out container, seeing a cheeseburger and fries sitting in it.
Bucky's phone rings loudly, snapping him from his thoughts and he pushes himself off of the counter before grabbing the phone.
"Hey, Steve," he answers after checking who it is, pressing the device to his ear.
"Buck," the blonde greets, and Bucky can hear Sam yelling in the background. "How’re things going?"
A sigh leaves Bucky's lips and he scratches the back of his neck. "Uhm, alright, I guess. It's been pretty tense between Y/N and I," he informs his best friend while eating a couple of fries.
"Well, have you tried having a conversation with her?" Steve asks and Bucky furrows his brows.
"I- No?"
"You know, after you left her alone in the debriefing room I stopped by," Steve starts as Bucky sits down on one of the chairs, continuing to eat his food, "and she told me that she's got no clue as to why you hate her so much. So, Buck, what's the reason?"
The super soldier feels his stomach twist a bit, not knowing that's how you felt about his coldness towards you. "I… I'm not sure, Steve. I just- she- I don't know how to explain it," Bucky mumbles and runs his fingers through his hair.
"Figure it out then. You two need to be working together. The hostility between the two of you is going to get one of you hurt… or even killed," Steve reprimands the super soldier and Bucky finds himself nodding in response. "I have to go. Talk to you later."
Bucky sets his phone down on the table before glancing towards your bedroom door. He lets out a deep breath through his nose and continues to eat the food you got him.
You sit against the headboard with your knees tucked a bit, staring off into space. You look towards the alarm clock to see it's just past midnight and you press your lips together before leaning your chin on your knees. Your food grows cold as it sits on the nightstand, your appetite is forgotten after your altercation with Bucky.
Tears pool in your eyes as you run your fingers through your hair. "Why? Why? God, why?!" You cry to yourself and before you know it you chuck your phone across the room.
You hear the device smash as it collides with the wall and you see the screen all cracked. A sigh leaves your lips as you watch the lit-up screen turn black before cursing to yourself.
Bucky quickly sits up at the thumping sound echoing off of the walls, his blue eyes looking around the dark space. His eyebrows furrow as everything is in place and the super-soldier gets up from his spot on the couch.
A frown etched onto his lips when he walks closer to the bedroom door, hearing your cries coming from inside it. Bucky wets his lip and feels his chest clench a bit before he raises his fist to knock on your door.
"Fucking hell," he heard you mutter through the door and Bucky lowers his hand, deciding it’s best to leave you be so he doesn't make it worse.
He swallows the lump forming in his throat before making his way back towards the couch. Bucky lays down under the covers and stares up at the ceiling, a deep sigh escaping his lips.
"Steve's right," he whispers to himself, "I have to fix this."
-
You put your hood up as you follow Gabriel's men down the busy street. You stay a good distance behind them as you can lightly hear their conversation.
Apologies leave your lips as you're weaving through the sea of people, bumping into some of their shoulders as you pass by them. You wince when a burly man bumps into you, your eyes gazing up at the man while pressing your hand to your side.
"Sorry, miss," he smirks and you furrow your brows, mumbling that it's alright.
You stumble around the corner as the pain in your side spreads, removing your hand from the wound to see blood staining your skin. "Shit," you mumble and glance back to see if you can find the man that bumped into you.
Suddenly, your mouth gets covered by someone and you let out a scream as they drag you into the ally beside you. They throw you on the ground before another starts to kick your stomach.
"Don't fuck with us," a man growls and grabs a fist full of your hair, lifting you before shoving you against the brick wall.
Heavy pants leave your lips as the man's fist connects with your face. Pain fills your body as you double over, a couple of gaps leaving your lips.
"P-Please," you beg as another man takes a swing at you, blood dripping from your lips.
Your head gets pushed back against the wall as the older gentleman leans close to you. "Should've thought about that before following us, sweetheart," he snickers before gripping your cheeks. "I'm sure someone will find you."
You don't get a chance to say anything before the man smashes your head against the building. Your eyes roll back into your head as you get punched once more. The man lets go of your body and you drop to the ground as you become unconscious from the beating.
"We'll find her later, let's go."
Bucky knocks on your door in the hotel room, eyebrows furrowed as he hasn't heard from you all day. "Y/N?" He calls out your name before opening the door, peeking his head into the room. He walks into the room and sees the place empty. "Shit."
He pulls his phone from his pocket and dials your number. Bucky presses the device to his ear before walking back out into the main room. C'mon, c'mon. He thinks to himself while pacing in front of the couch.
A sigh leaves his lips when the call goes to voice-mail, his vibranium hand rubbing through his hair. The next number he dials is Steve's, deciding to tell the blonde what happened.
"Hey, Buck, what's going on?" Steve answers the phone.
"Y/N's missing," Bucky states, feeling his body start to panic at the thought of what could've happened. "I-She was here in the middle of the night and she hasn't left her room all day, so when I went to go check, the room was empty."
The brunette sits down on the edge of the couch, leaning his elbow on his knees. "Okay calm down. Did you try calling her?" Steve asks and Bucky scoffs.
"Of course I tried calling her, Steve. I'm not a complete idiot," Bucky mumbles.
"Goddamnit, Bucky. None of us can head out there right now. So, you need to get out there and find her," Steve informs him and Bucky nods his head in response, standing up from the couch.
Bucky goes to speak when the door to the room opens and you stumble inside. "She's here. I-I gotta go," the super-soldier breathes, hanging up before Steve could say anything.
You wince while shutting the door, leaning on it for stability. "Bucky," you whimper as he rushes over to you. You fall into his arms, your hands gripping his shirt tightly.
"Hey, hey, what happened?" He mumbles softly while leaning down to pick you up bridal style.
Bucky gently kicks the bedroom door open before walking into the room, setting you down onto the bed. His eyes roam across your body, seeing the bruises and cuts on your face. The brunette notices dried blood on your hand and his brows furrowed in confusion.
"Fuck," Bucky whispers after seeing blood on your shirt. He picks up your shirt to see a wound in your side, his fingers grazing over your skin.
He walks into the living space, grabbing everything he'll need to patch up your wound. Bucky feels his phone vibrating in his pocket as he wipes the alcoholic pad across your skin.
"Hey, Steve," the super-soldier answers his phone, putting it on speaker before setting it on the table beside him.
"She okay?" He asks immediately and Bucky swallows thickly.
"Uhm, not exactly. She looks like she got the shit beat out of her, and she got stabbed," he informs the blonde.
Bucky runs a hand over his face after patching up your stab wound, turning his attention to your face. "Shit, Bucky. Okay, I'll let Tony know and tell you what he says," Steve mumbles and Bucky nods his head in response.
The phone hangs up and Bucky shuffles towards your upper body, grabbing another alcohol wipe. "God, I'm so sorry, Y/N," he sighs while wiping the dried blood off of your face. "I'm gonna need you to pull through this, alright. I need you."
Bucky throws the bloodied wipes away before gently stroking your cheek. He pushes himself off of the floor and grabs a glass of water and some painkillers, setting them on the table beside your bed.
His fingers glide across your forehead, pushing some of your hair out of your face. "Please come back to me."
-
A groan leaves your lips as your eyes flutter open. Your vision clears and you see Bucky sleeping beside your bed, his arms crossed over his chest. A small smile comes to your lips as you attempt to sit up a bit, wincing slightly.
Bucky jumps awake at the sound of you, his blue eyes meeting yours. "Y/N, hey," he whispers, pulling the chair closer to you. "How do you feel?"
"Like I've been hit with a truck," you chuckle while holding your side.
"Here," he mumbles and moves to grab the pills and water beside you, "take these." You mumble a quiet thank you before taking the medicine from him.
You notice his nervous behavior as Bucky sits back down in his chair. "Bucky, I'm fine," you tell him after swallowing the liquid, setting the glass down. "Nothing I haven't handled before."
A sigh leaves the brunette's lips and Bucky runs his fingers through his hair. "It doesn't matter if you've handled it before, Y/N. You went out- on your own- to follow a dangerous man and you could've been killed!" He exclaims with a huff of breath.
"Well, if you were capable of working with me, Bucky, then I wouldn't have to do it alone! Don't you see that I'm trying?! I'm trying so hard to be civil with you, but you don't budge. Probably would've been better if I died. Then I wouldn't have to subject myself to your coldness every fucking day," you practically scream, your chest heaving rapidly.
Bucky's eyes soften at your words, his heart hurting a bit when you said you'd rather be dead than deal with him. "I'm sorry," he whispers loud enough for you to hear and your head turns to look at him.
"You're sorry? For treating me as an outsider for over a year?"
"I… Look, Y/N, I don't have a good reason for my behavior. I wish I did, I really do, but can we start over?" Bucky stutters and hesitantly grabs your hand.
Your heart flutters in your chest as his flesh hand grabs yours, seeing the sincerity in his blue eyes. "Can you stay with me?" You mumble, your fingers interlacing with his.
Bucky smiles softly and nods his head. You smile at him, feeling him squeeze your hand. The sound of your hotel room door opening catches Bucky's attention and the super-soldier suddenly gets up from his chair.
"Buc-"
He covers your mouth with his hand while bringing a finger to his lips, silently telling you to stay quiet. Your eyes widen as talking from the other room finally hits your ears.
"Stay there," Bucky mouths to you and you nod your head, your hands gripping the covers.
Bucky stealthily walks towards the bedroom door, pressing his ear to the wooden structure. "The tracking device says she's here," a man states and Bucky furrows his brows. Tracking device? "Check the bedroom."
Footsteps grow louder and Bucky quickly makes his way back towards you before lifting you off of the bed. Your arms wrap around his neck as the brunette quietly hides the two of you in the closet.
Your fingers stroke the back of his neck soothingly, keeping your gaze on his face the whole time. You notice his jaw clenching as Bucky focuses on the sounds around you.
"She's not here. She must've found it and left it behind," a different voice proclaims, another agreeing with the statement. "Let's go. We'll let Gabriel know."
You swallow thickly as Bucky's eyes meet yours. You can feel his breath fan your face, realizing the distance between the two of you is closer than you thought.
"Is it clear?" You whisper and Bucky gently sets you onto your feet.
"Hold on, let me check," he mumbles while his hands grip your waist, making sure you're steady before releasing you. "You good?"
You nod your head in response and Bucky's hands slip off of your waist before slowly walking out of the closet. You run a hand through your hair as you wait for the super soldier to come back.
"It's clear, c'mon," Bucky tells you and holds his hand out for you to take.
You wince a bit while walking out of the closet, grabbing ahold of Bucky's hand as he leads you back towards the bed. "Did he say something about a tracking device?" You ask him and Bucky nods his head in reply.
You lower yourself onto the bed and think about the event of yesterday. Bucky's eyes meet yours, watching your eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "Can you think of when they might've placed a tracker on you?" He asks while crouching in front of you, resting his hands against your thighs.
"I…" a short gasp leaves your lips as you remember a guy smirking at you after stabbing your side. "No way…"
"What?"
You pull your shirt over your head and Bucky's eyes widen before looking away. "My stab wound," you whisper.
Bucky snaps his attention to you as you take the bandage off of your side, exposing the wound. "Shit," he mumbles and lifts himself off of the floor. "If you can grab a towel and lay on it. We have to get it out."
You nod your head as he leaves the room. Another wince leaves your lips as you walk into the bathroom, grabbing a fluffy towel from below the sink. When you enter the bedroom again, Bucky stands at the edge of the bed sorting through the different utensils.
"This is gonna hurt," he informs you as you lay back on the bed, one of your hands gripping the sheets.
"It's okay," you whisper while nodding your head.
Bucky gives you a small smile before kneeling beside the bed. Your chest heaves rapidly as the super-soldier re-opens your wound. His blue eyes flit up to your face as you stare at the ceiling, trying to keep your mind distracted.
"I'm going to dig around to try and find the device, alright?" He reassures you and you nod your head, swallowing the lump in your throat.
Bucky's flesh hand rests on your stomach, feeling his thumb gently stroke your skin. Two of his vibranium fingers dip into your stab wound, a hiss leaving your lips at the uncomfortable feeling. "B-Bucky-"
"I'm sorry," he apologizes as the metal fingers move around. "It'll be over soon."
You bring your bottom lip between your teeth, biting down harshly. A cry escapes your lips as Bucky's fingers travel deeper, tears pooling in your eyes. Sadness fills Bucky's eyes as you whither beneath his touch, wishing he could find the damn tracker faster.
Bucky's brows raise when his metal fingers graze against something cylindrical. "I got it, doll," the nickname slips out and your heart flutters in your chest, turning your head to face him.
His eyes are already on you, seeing the concerned look swimming in the baby blues. "Agh! Bucky-" you breathe out as the device scrapes along the inside of your skin.
"Sorry," he whispers and manages to pull the tracking device out without hurting you anymore, crushing the tiny object between his vibranium fingers.
You take deep breaths as the super-soldier quickly gets up so he can replace your bandage. You keep your gaze on Bucky the entire time as he tends to the wound. "You're pretty," you whisper, not being able to stop the words from leaving your lips.
Bucky looks up at you through his lashes as he releases a small laugh. Butterflies swarm around your stomach as the man leans forward to press a gentle kiss to the fresh bandage, your breath hitching in your throat.
"You're prettier. Let me get you some water," he mentions before leaving the room once more.
He thinks I'm pretty. You think to yourself as a smile comes to your lips, bringing your gaze back to the ceiling.
-
"Tony, you don't get it. They know someone's after them. I think we should hold off until they're less suspicious," you hear Bucky talking in the other room. A sigh leaves your lips, the argument continuing on as you inspect the bruises on your face in the en suite.
You wince at the tenderness, rubbing the arnica ointment around your left eye. "Look, Bucky, the best I can do is move you to a different room and extend the mission. We can pull out on this now. We're too close," Tony says before hanging up the phone.
"Fucking hell," Bucky mutters as you leave the bathroom. You walk into the living area to see Bucky throw his phone onto the table before plopping onto the couch. "He's not letting us leave."
"I heard," you sit beside him, tucking one of your legs under the other, "I mean he's right in a way. We're so close to capturing this guy. I should've been more careful, I'm sorry."
The blue-eyed man glances towards you, leaning against the furniture. "It's not your fault. You were just doing your job. It's my fault that I made you believe you had to do this yourself," he mentions and you press your lips together.
"Well, good thing we're starting over, yeah?" You ask and Bucky's eyes widen, his lips parting slightly. You chuckle softly at the shocked look on his face and gently press your fingers against his chin, shutting his mouth.
"Y-Yeah, yeah, sorry," Bucky whispers, running a hand through his hair. You watch as he glides his tongue across his bottom lip, low-key wishing you could taste his lips. "So, we should probably figure out which room Tony moved us to."
You and Bucky proceed to make your way to the lobby and talk to the reception desk, hoping the billionaire already called to make the arrangements. You keep an eye out as Bucky talks to the woman, your fingers drumming along the mahogany desk.
"Ah, yes, I just got off the phone with Mr. Stark. Here are your new room keys," she says with a smile, and Bucky politely thanks her while taking the keycards into his hand.
"C'mon," he mumbles and hesitantly grabs your hand, his blue eyes looking around the place.
Your eyes widen upon seeing the elevator door opening, a few men you recognize standing inside of it and you push Bucky towards the wall.
"Y/N-"
"Kiss me," you whisper and his blue eyes widen as he looks down at you.
"W-What-"
"Public display of affection makes people uncomfortable," you state, remembering Natasha mentioning that if you were ever in a sticky situation.
Bucky wets his lips and nods his head in agreement. "Yes, they do…" he trails off and you let out a huff of breath.
You grab a hold of his shirt, pulling him closer to you as you lean on your toes. Bucky places his hand against the wall, stabilizing himself as your lips connect with his. His vibranium hand grips your hip, a short moan escaping his lips as your fingers card through his hair.
Your heart flutters in your chest at the feeling of his soft lips. It takes Bucky a few seconds before he starts moving his lips against yours, deepening the kiss. You hear the men muttering to themselves as they walk past the two of you.
"Fuckin' kids," one of them grunts.
Bucky leans forward, pressing your back against the wall as he pulls away slightly. You keep your eyes closed and you breathe heavily as his nose nudges yours lightly.
"Are they gone?" He whispers against your lips.
You flutter your eyes open and look over his shoulder, seeing them walking out the main doors of the hotel. "Y-Yeah," you mumble, causing the brunette to take a step back. "Sorry about that, I just… didn't know what else to do."
Bucky shakes his head, mumbling that it’s alright. He reaches for your hand again, leading you towards the elevator. You chew on your bottom lip as the two of you stand in the elevator in silence, feeling the tension between the two of you thickening.
“Why don’t you head to the new room and I’ll work on transferring our stuff?” Bucky mentions and you nod your head in response.
“Sure,” you mumble and grab one of the room keys from his hand, watching the muscly man step out of the elevator. “I’ll see you up there.”
After a short ride up a couple of more floors, you step out of the elevator before heading towards your new room. Maybe one with two beds this time. You think to yourself while placing the key into the lock. You step into the room and let out a gasp, seeing rose petals everywhere. “Oh, no,” you mumble and shut the door quickly, trying to gather as many petals as you can. “What in the actual fuck, Tony. I swear to God,” You mumble to yourself while rolling your eyes.
The door handle to the room begins to turn and you rush towards it, opening it just a smidge. Bucky glances down at you with a concerned look as you try to find the right words. “What’s going on?” He asks you and you press your lips together. “Y/N?”
“Just… don’t take it out on me, okay?” You whisper and Bucky furrows his brows as you fully open the hotel room door.
Bucky’s eyes widened after seeing rose petals everywhere, causing him to curse under his breath. “I’m going to kill him,” he states and a chuckle leaves your lips.
You grab your bag from the hallway before shutting the room’s door. You watch Bucky aggressively pick up flower petals from the floor and furniture. “Maybe this was the only room available,” you chuckle while heading towards the bedroom.
“I doubt it,” he mutters bitterly as you open the secondary door.
“Oh, come one,” you groan as you notice the large king-sized bed sitting in the middle of the room. “Bucky!”
“Yeah?” He calls out, hearing his footsteps grow closer to where you’re standing. You glance over your shoulder and see his lips part in disbelief. “You’re joking me,” Bucky sighs before rubbing his fingers against his forehead.
You tuck a strand of hair behind your ear and wet your lips. “I’ll take the couch this time,” you tell him and Bucky glances down at you.
“Y-You have bruised ribs, Y/N. I’m not going to make you sleep on the couch,” he mentions and you shrug your shoulders in response.
A sigh leaves your lips as you slap your hands along your thighs, turning to face Bucky. “Well, if you’re willing to deal with me… you can sleep in the same bed. I don’t mind,” you shyly tell him, feeling your cheeks flush. You begin to panic when Bucky says nothing and you clear your throat, scratching the back of your neck. “O-Or you don’t have to. I just wanted you to be comfortable.”
Bucky’s blue eyes soften at your words as he watches you walk further into the room. The man wets his lips before running a hand through his hair. “We can share,” he mumbles loud enough for you to hear.
“A-Are you sure?” You stutter, your eyes meeting his and the brunette nods his head in response. Bucky gives you an awkward smile and you let out a tiny giggle, taking a step towards him.
“What are you laughing about?” He huffs and you bite your lip, bringing your hands to his face before lifting the sides of his lips. Bucky playfully rolls his eyes and swats your hands away from him.
A genuine smile graces his pink lips and your heart flutters at the sight. “There’s a real smile,” you tell him, both of your cheeks heating up. “Should do it more often, Bucky, it looks good on you.”
“I’ll keep that in mind,” Bucky whispers before walking out of the room to gather his things.
-
“Okay, so, I managed to gather some more intel on Gabriel,” Bucky mentions while walking into the bedroom. The super-soldier grabs the laptop Tony supplied him before sitting down on the edge of the bed. “How are you feeling?”
You lift the ice pack from your ribs and glance down at the bruised skin. “As good as I can be, I guess. It still hurts to bend over a bit, but I manage,” you chuckle as Bucky glances over his shoulder, seeing the purplish skin. “What’d you find out?”
“That he’s got a business meeting in the restaurant later tonight. Turns out the man he’s meeting has ties to HYDRA,” Bucky informs you while typing out what he discovered.
Bucky closes the laptop after finishing the report, making sure it is sent to Tony before fully turning the device off. Your eyes watch him gracefully move throughout the room, feeling a bit useless after getting attacked over twenty-four hours ago. “Do you need help with the meeting?” You ask him and the super-soldier shakes his head. “Buck-”
“You still need to heal, Y/N. I got this,” he mentions, and you sigh, running a hand through your hair.
“Can I at least be on comms when you go? I'm tired of just sitting here and doing nothing," you bargain.
Bucky doesn't answer you while pulling his shirt over his head, tossing it on the chair that sits in the corner of the room. "Fine, you can be on comms," he mumbles and you grin as then throws the covers back before getting on the bed.
"Thank you, Bucky," you whisper as the super-soldier lays on his back, staring up at the ceiling.
He turns his head towards you, his eyes noticing the fading bruise under your eye. He shuffles so he's laying on his side before reaching his vibranium hand out. Bucky notices how you don't flinch, seeing the smile steady on your lips as his metal fingers glide across your under-eye.
"Does it hurt?" Bucky whispers and you shake your head.
His eyes flicker down to your lips for a hot second before meeting your eyes again. "Have you ever kissed anyone before me, Bucky?" You ask him as you shuffle a bit closer to him.
You notice his cheeks blush and you teasingly smile at him. "I- No," he confesses and you tuck your lip between your teeth.
"C-Can I ask you a serious question?" You whisper, feeling his breath fanning your face. Bucky nods his head against his pillow, feeling a bit nervous about what you're going to ask. "Why do you hate me?"
A sigh leaves his lips as his blue eyes flutter shut for a few moments. Bucky wets his lips before sitting up, leaning his back against the headboard. You sit up as well, keeping your eyes on him as you notice the gears turning in his head.
"I don't hate you, Y/N. I really don't. I just… I guess I was jealous of you. I mean," Bucky pauses and slaps his hands against his thighs, "I don't have a good reason for being cold to you. Steve's right, you know? I do have a hard time showing my feelings."
Bucky's hand gently grabs yours and strokes the back of your hand. "It took me getting hurt for you to realize," you mumble softly and Bucky's chest clenches.
"I'm sorry that I let you down. I was so apathetic and I know it's pathetic, but I'm going to be here for you here on out," he exclaims and the corner of your mouth lifts into a small smile.
"Promise me?" You whisper as Bucky brings his free hand to your face.
His blue eyes search yours for a few moments before gently kissing your lips. "I promise you."
You rest your forehead against his, a heavy sigh leaving your lips as your heart pounds wildly against your chest. Bucky's hand slides along the side of your throat before resting on the back of your neck. Your lips meet his again while running your hands along his torso.
The kiss didn't last long before the two of you lie back down, your head resting on his chest. "You'll always have a place in me."

Possibly a Hotch imagine where he is dating an artist and he finds her drawing him and Jack ?
Is That Me?
gif by nerddivision
Pairing: Aaron Hotchner x reader
Warnings!: none, literally all fluff :), well ig kissing, curse word or two
Description: Hotch finds a drawing you did of him and Jack. Will you tell him how you feel, or brush it off as nothing?
Author's Note: I LOVED this request. I did switch it up a bit, reader is Hotch's best friend. Sorry, I just really wanted to throw a love confession in here!! Hope you guys enjoy reading and I hope its what you wanted!!
------------
You loved to draw. You always have. It was one of your favorite things to do.
You would do it while doing paperwork, or on jet rides. You would draw to help calm you down, or even just to keep yourself busy.
Point is, you were always drawing something.
But you never drew people. Or atleast you never showed others your drawings of people. The whole team knew that.
They never turned out the way that you liked. You would always end up messing up a facial feature. Or you would draw the hands wrong. A number of things would go wrong.
That was until you decided to draw your boss, and best friend, Aaron Hotchner.
It was no secret to the team that you had somewhat of a crush on the man. You hadn't done a good job hiding it. But it was still very oblivious to the man in question.
He had quickly become one of your closest friends after you joined the team. You guys would often hang out at each other's houses on the weekends, or you would just sit around at the park with Jack.
You just loved spending time with eachother. Which had led to the feelings.
But of course you didn't know he had felt the same. The team did though. And of course they were going to meddle. Thats just who they are.
Anyways, you had gotten the idea for the drawing of Hotch about 4 weeks ago.
You had all been at Rossi's for a dinner, children included, and Hotch had been sitting there with Jack in his lap. He had this look of pure adoration as he listened to his son tell a story and he had this bueatiful smile adorning his face. You just couldn't look away.
Now, similar to Reid, you had a photographic memory. It wasn't the same as his eidic memory, but similar.
That image had stayed printed in your brain. You remembered that exactly moment, and it stayed there for 2 weeks before you began drawing.
There was a lot of erasing and starting over. But you kept going. The team would catch glimpses of the drawing, but never enough to know what it actually was. You especially made sure to keep it hidden from Hotch, only working on it in the office when his door was closed.
When you finished the drawing, you put it in the top drawer of your desk, knowing no one would go through it. You kept it there for weeks. Adding bits and pieces here and there to add to the beauty of the drawing. It had probably been one of your best pieces. But you kept it hidden.
Until of course, Morgan found it.
He had seen it in your desk when he went to borrow a pen, without pernission. He had taken it, and walked quickly to Garcia's office. They had been trying to get the two of you together for months.
"Babygirl, I think I just found how we can get them together." He had said walking in without knocking.
"Of course you did." And they worked out a plan, bringing in Prentiss, JJ, Spence, and Rossi.
After planning and then going over everything, everyone gathered in the bullpen. Morgan walked over to you, a little too chipper.
You gave him a suspicious look, co fused as to why he looked so giddy.
"Hey sugar, want me to take your paperwork up?" You looked down at the finished pile of paperwork, and back up at Morgan.
"Suuure." You slowly said. Still very suspicious, but allowing him to take the pile. Soon he was walking off, with his own paperwork as well, marching up to Hotch's office. He opened the door and disappeared from your sight.
With a roll of your eyes, and a lasting glance, you turned away. You had completely forgot about the whole interaction, and had gotten back to work.
You got bored with that quickly and about 2 hours later, you opened the top drawer of y I ur desk, so you could work on your drawing.
Only it wasn't there.
It was gone.
You began frantically searching each and every drawer. Opening and shutting each one as your rummaged through everything. You checked your bag, the trashcan, your floor. You went through each and every piece of paper on your desk.
But it was gone.
"Y/n, is everything okay?" Prentiss asked from across the desk.
"No. Um, I-I lost something."you were freaking out, if anyone saw that, it would be disastrous. You could lose your job, your friendship. And if Hotch every saw it, he would probably think it was creepy.
You continued to search looking through each like of paperwork.
But then you realized. You had sent a pile with Morgan.
Morgan had taken it to Hotch.
Hotch.
Son of a bitch!
You were up and out of your seat in less than a second, sprinting up to Hotch's office and throwing it open.
You expected Hotch to look up in shock. To glance at you. Something.
But he didn't.
He was staring at a piece of paper. With him on it.
How long he had been sitting there staring at it, you didn't know.
"Hotch." You whispered out. But he heard you none the less. He glanced up for a second before glancing back down.
"Is that me?" He asked. The silence that followed was deafening. You didn't answer him. You couldn't.
"Is that me Y/n?" He asked again.
"Yeah. Yes. I'm so sorry Hotch. You weren't supposed to see it." You looked up at him and your eyes locked. He had a tear rolling down his face.
"I-I love it. Its bueatiful." You stared at him waiting for the other show to drop, waiting for the but. Except it never came. He just stood from his desk, marched around it and smashed his lips against yours.
You let out a surprised noise and faltered backwards, but that just caused his to press you into the wall, kissing you harder. It was intimate and everything you had ever dreamed about. He cupped your face, deepening the kiss.
He broke away after a minute or two. You couldn't tell how long it was, the kiss had left you in a daze.
"I love it. I love you." He stuttered out breathlessly. You stared at him in awe. You hadn't expected this kind of reaction. Never in a million years did you think he would feel the same as you did.
"I love you too." You spoke softly. He smiled widely.
"The drawing is so perfect. Its bueatiful. No one has ever drawn me before. And you drew Jack, he looks, he's perfect. Its perfect, you are perfect. God I love y-" you cut him off with another kiss, smiling the entire time.
You were kissing Aaron Hotchner.
You loved Aaron Hotchner.
And he loved you too.

He didn’t leave your side, not even for a second. Worry was eating him alive. You had been unconscious for a while now. Some asshole had hit your head pretty bad, and they couldn’t risk take you to a hospital to check if everything was alright.
You were still in Madripoor, so Sharon suggested taking you to her place. You were lying on her bed. Bucky had been beside you the whole time, his flesh hand holding yours .
“Are we even sure she’s gonna wake up?” that’s the worst thing Zemo could ask.
“If you don’t shut up, you will be the one not waking up to see tomorrow,” When it came about you, you were Bucky’s number one priority, the rest of the world didn’t matter. And he will definitely kill Zemo if he dared to say something like that again.
You’ll wake up. You had to.
He was right.
You opened your eyes and blinked. The first thing you noticed was the throbbing pain in your head. It was worse than waking up from a hangover. As you tried to raise your hand to wipe the sleep from your eyes, you realized someone was holding it. Stretching your sore body, you turned your head to examine your surroundings. Your vision was blurry and you could barely make out three vague shapes moving in the corner attested.
“Y/N?” Although your vision was still hazy you distinguished the figure of your friend approaching you.
“Sharon?”
At the sound of your voice, the hand holding yours released it, allowing you to wipe your eyes in an attempt to see things more clearly.
“What happened?” your voice was sore, you were still confused
“Some dickhead knocked you out,” Sam walked cautiously towards you
“How are you feeling?” You turned your head to find the source of the voice, at your left you saw a dark-haired man with blue eyes.
“Like I have been hit in the head,” the man chuckled, if you still had your sense of humor that was a good signal. “Where am I?”
“My apartment,” You narrowed at the response of your friend, you took a look at the room. This wasn’t Sharon’s place.
“What’s wrong?” Sam asked when he saw the confusion on your face
“You had moved and I don’t remember?”
Sam, Sharon, and the man with blue eyes shared a concerning look.
“Y/N, we are not in Brooklyn. We are in Madripoor,”
“Where?” What kind of name was that for a town. Pretty sure they didn’t have a lot of tourism.
The man that had remained in the corner laughed. “Seems she had a reset”
At this the blue-eyed guy exhaled deeply and went towards him, grabbing him by his shirt “One more comment, and I swear I’d kill you,” rage and anger were dripping from his mouth.
“Y/N,” Sharon called you with a soft voice, you averted your gaze from the two men to your friend, “Do you know what day is it today?”
You looked at her confused, not knowing why she would ask such a question. “Friday?” you answered her question, not too sure.
“Year?” she insisted.
“2014,” now you were very sure about this.
Your friends shared concerned looks. “Do you know who this is?” Sam asked, pointing at the blue-eyed guy. You shook your head. “Are you sure?”
“I would remember a pretty face like that, Sammy,” but the truth is, that you didn’t.
“What about him?” He pointed to the man in the corner.
You scrunch your nose “Not my type,”
“Hey!,” the man seemed offended by your answer “For your information, I have a private jet,” he tried to impress you.
“I don’t care,” you simply said
“Y/N,” you felt the hand of your friend on your shoulder “It’s not 2014. We’re in 2024”
When you saw people get amnesia in the movies they always made it romantic, but this didn’t feel like that. You couldn’t recall anything from the last ten years of your life. You were unable to deal with the intensity of your emotions. You felt lost, you didn’t feel at home.
It was a lot to process, Sharon had been branded an enemy of the States, Steve was gone and now there was a new Captain America parading around, Tony and Natasha were dead….
“What about him?” you pointed with your head to the guy who claimed to have a private jet.
“These dickheads broke him out of prison,”
But Sam didn’t like the answer Sharon gave you, so he quickly clarified “He broke him out of prison,” he pointed at his friend “Not me”
You looked at the blue-eyed man “And who are you?”
Bucky felt a shard in the guts. That question really hurt him. You completely forgot about him. Your mind had erased every piece of him. You were his biggest support and now he had lost you.
“Steve’s friend. Bucky.” Sharon explained, “Steve talked to us about him, remember?”
You did remember. And you also remember Steve telling you how he fell off the train and died. “Wasn’t he dead?” You were confused.
“He survived. And HYDRA captured him.”
Your eyes widened. “They captured you?” He only nodded, his gaze fixed on the ground. “What did they do to you?”
Sam cleared his throat. “Let’s not talk about that now,” You didn’t press, knowing that it wouldn’t be an easy topic for him to talk about. “How are you feeling?”
“If we ignore the fact that I don't remember the last ten years of my life, pretty good, actually.”
“We have to go back to New York,” Bucky suggested “A doctor should see you”
“That would be best,” Sharon agreed.
Although you wanted her to come with you, you knew she couldn’t, not until Sam got her the pardon he promised. At least, that's what they told you.
“It’s going to be a long flight,” The ex-prisoner was the first in walking out of the room.
“I don’t like him,” you muttered
“Me neither,” Sam concurred.
Sam was sleeping in his seat, Bucky was looking through the window and the other guy was nowhere to be found, not that you cared. You were flying back to the States, with some luck you would see a good doctor and maybe you’d get your memories back.
“You okay?” you sat next to the blue-eyed guy, he averted his gaze to you when he noticed your presence.
“Yeah,”
“You don’t seem okay,”
“You’re the one who had been hit in the head. How can I be the one who doesn’t look okay?”
“Touché,” you laughed, and he gave you a half-smile in return. But you could see how his eyes hold sadness behind them. “When did we meet?”
He paused for a second, thinking if he should answer your question or if this was something you should remember on your own. But considering they already told you some of the things that had happened this last ten years, your question wasn’t that much of a deal. “In Bucharest. In 2015.”
“That was before the sign of the Accords happened, right?” he nodded “What team was I on?”
He chuckled, “Which one do you think you were in?”
You made a pensive look that made him smile. This time it reached his eyes, and you couldn’t help the thought of how beautiful he was. “Well, I have always been loyal to Steve, but I have to say that the idea of going against Tony scares the shit outta me,”
You don’t know when it happened, you kept talking for a while before you eventually fell asleep on his shoulder. He brushed the air off your face and caressed your cheek gently, not wanting to wake you up.
“You know it’s not the end if she doesn’t remember you, right?” Zemo sat in front of him “At least she’s alive,”
“It would be the end, for me,” yes you were alive and he was thankful for that but everything that you had shared wasn’t there anymore. He was a complete stranger to you. You didn’t remember all the nights you stayed up by his side when he had a nightmare, you didn’t remember your time in Wakanda together, you didn’t remember all the stories he had told you about the forties, you didn’t remember staying up until morning talking about your future, about building a family together, you didn’t remember all the times you made love, you didn’t remember him.
“She fell in love with you once, she can do it again”

Sometimes I forget that Leo is 19 and can’t drink in the states. I think he would get away with stealing drinks from the boys or having someone on the team order for him in public for a while but once the season’s started and people are actively watching the games, the bartenders and wait staff start to figure out who he is and catch him being sneaky
I only write drunkenness on a case-to-case basis because it squicks me out sometimes, but something about this ask really stuck with me. To @lalalasocks, I hope your sinuses feel better! Have some outside perspective of Coops to soothe the soul <3 SW credit goes to @lumosinlove!
TW for a drunken rookie (no explicit alcohol)
“Pots and I are going to take it up the left,” Sirius said, never taking his eyes off his whiteboard as he drew out the lines of the play. iPads were generally the more conventional tool, but he had a thing for tradition and Sirius Black’s flair for the dramatic never ceased to amaze. “Knutty?”
Leo nodded and leaned forward, swiping a drop of sweat off his temple with a glance toward the game as Talker flew past. “I’ll be in for the rest of the period as soon as Coach calls it.”
“Bien.” He tapped Remus’ shoulder pad with the end of his pen and marked a path up the other side. “Loops, the puck is coming to you fast, so you need to keep eyes on us. Once you get it, turn on the jets and get it in. Good?”
“Good,” Remus confirmed, bumping fists with James. Leo watched them with no small amount of surprise—even though Remus had only been a player for six months, their line was rock-solid. James was the powerhouse while Remus flashed down the ice; Sirius counterbalanced them both in the middle. He was grateful he wasn’t the one to see them coming at him on plays.
“1, 6, 7, 12!” Coach barked. Leo clenched his teeth around his mouthguard and got ready to hop the boards. A swish of skates, a bump of Kasey’s shoulder, and it was game time.
-----------
“I love you,” Leo hiccupped, plopping himself down in Logan’s lap and tangling a hand in his dark curls. He went to kiss his cheek, then frowned. “Oh.”
“Hi,” Sirius laughed with a gentle pat his side. “Good night so far, Knutty?”
Leo made a face. “Where’s my Canadian?”
“I have no idea.”
His lip slid out even further into a pout. “He told me I could sit on his lap,” he whined plaintively, resting his head in the crook of Sirius’ shoulder with a heavy sigh. The bar was warm—a little too warm, actually—but it felt nice to be sitting on something soft rather than feeling the sticky floor under his sneakers. And there was one more reason he needed to find Logan, one other highly important thing… “An’ I gotta give him a kiss.”
“Do you want to go look for him?”
Leo made a noncommittal noise and swung his leg under the table absently, letting the alcohol in his system lift all his post-game tiredness away. His head hurt a little from being awake so long. “How ‘bout I stay here and wait?”
“I think it’s about time to get you home.”
Leo sighed again, picking at a string on the knee of his ripped jeans. “Am I squishing you?”
“Non.”
“Mmkay.” A bright square of light half blinded him and he squinted. “Who’re you texting?”
“Finn.”
“Why?”
“So that he can pick you up and get you home before you fall asleep on me,” Sirius said, quite amused for some reason. “Comfy, rookie?”
He shifted even closer into the warmth and closed his eyes. Usually he got horny when he drank, but that feeling had already passed and a nap was sounding awful nice. “I like it when you call me that. Hate when other people do it, but it’s different with you.”
Sirius gave his upper arm a light squeeze. “Glad to hear it.”
“Used to drive me nuts,” he snorted. “Those first couple’a weeks on the team were rough.”
“…why?”
“Cause I had a huge crush on you.”
Cozy silence fell between them until Sirius moved to look at him. Leo blinked sleepily. “You what?”
“Well, Kasey was my first crush, right? I had his jersey an’ his poster an’ he’s fucking hot, but you’re the captain.” Sirius was so nice to him. Not everyone would have let a 6’4” hockey player sit on their lap and wait for their boyfriends. At the moment, though, Sirius looked a bit like Leo had thrown ice water in his face. “And obviouslyFinn and Logan are my boys and I love them so much and they were sopretty when I met them but, y’know, it’s the thrill of the captain vibe.”
“Am I interrupting something?” a new voice asked through poorly-suppressed laughter.
Leo turned his head to look up with a smile. “Hey, Loops, how’re you?”
“Pretty good.” Remus shared a look with Sirius, grinning, before taking the seat next to them. “You two look…content.”
“Oh, fuck off,” Sirius said immediately, though Leo felt his chest hitch with a laugh; he tapped Leo lightly on the elbow a moment later. “Finn’s heading over, d’accord?”
“But I just got here,” he mumbled.
“You’re in my spot,” Remus teased, sliding a glass over. “Drink up, bud.”
Leo narrowed his eyes. “What is it?”
“Water.”
He thought for a second—he wasn’t thirsty, but his mouth was getting dry—and yawned, sitting up enough to stretch before grabbing it. In two gulps, it was gone. “Aw.”
Remus bit his lip and passed a different glass over. “You can have mine too, it’s okay.”
“How are both of you so nice?” he asked, looking between them in something like distress. The music was getting too loud, but they were both watching him intently. “It’s not even fair, man. Can’t you just be an asshole for once so the rest of us don’t look bad?”
Sirius shook his head and pressed the water cup into his hand. “Been there, done that. Do not recommend. Besides, the designated drivers don’t get to be mean.”
Leo felt a little better once the water was gone; he blinked slowly, scanning the crowds for any signs of Finn’s hair or Logan’s ass. Both were identifying features he would never get tired of. “Loops?”
“Yeah?”
“Why is your hair soft?”
“I—” He tilted his head to the side in confusion. “Have you ever touched my hair?”
He leaned back against Sirius, stretching his legs out until his knees popped. “No, but it looks soft. Like Finn’s, if Finn was blonder and had curls. Fluffy.”
“It’s very fluffy,” Sirius confirmed, pulling him up a little more.
“Hey!” Leo protested. “Watch the hands, your boyfriend is right there!”
Sirius rolled his eyes with a huff. “I was making sure you didn’t slide off the bench.”
“Sure,” Leo said with a suspicious glare. “Just ‘cause I won MVP for this game—”
“Okay,” Sirius groaned, standing and detangling his limbs to transfer Leo’s weight onto Remus. “I’m going to go get your boyfriends from wherever they got distracted, and then you’re going to go home and sleep so you’re not dying at practice tomorrow. Oui?”
He disappeared into the mass of people without giving Leo time to respond, wiping his hands on the thighs of his jeans as he craned his neck to see over people’s heads. “Rude,” Leo sulked, cuddling up into Remus’ side instead.
“I know, right?” He took a sip of something lemony and Leo pulled a face. “What?”
“Aren’t you DD?”
“Last I checked, DD’s are allowed to drink lemonade,” he laughed, patting the top of his head. “That was an awesome save in the third, by the way. You could’ve got the hat from that one alone.”
“Which one?” Leo yawned again, licking his lips to rid them of the stickiness he could feel forming.
“The splits one.”
“Mmm, yeah, that was pretty badass.” More people darkened his periphery and he scooted over to make room. “Hey, mes amours.”
“I hear you were bothering our dear captain?” Finn asked, kissing his cheek with a grin. There was no alcohol on his breath, only the mint from the peppermint candies he always stole from the little container by the bar. “Come on, baby, time to go.”
“But Loops and I were talking,” he whined, though it only took a small tug on Finn’s part to get him to snuggle up into his soft shirt. “He was telling me how good I did in the game.”
A warm hand stroked his hair out of his eyes; warmer lips brushed his forehead, and he felt Logan’s hand on his knee. “Bedtime, love,” he said in a quiet voice, almost too soft for Leo to hear over the noisy bar. “Wanna be in the middle?”
Leo looked up in hope. “Really?”
“Ouais. C’mon, Knutty, up you go.”
He wobbled a little as he stood, but got his feet under him within a few moments with the help of Finn’s arm around his waist and waved off everyone else’s offered help. “Gonna be fine for practice,” he promised, patting Sirius’ hand with a nod. “Totally fine, don’t worry. Go—hic—go grind on your boyfriend, ‘kay? You both need it.”
“Sweet Jesus,” Sirius muttered. “I pity your head in the morning.”
“I’m fine,” Leo scoffed. He was already sleepy—there was no way he would have a headache, not after he had two whole glasses of water. “G’night.”
“Drive safe,” Sirius and Remus chorused as Logan fit himself under Leo’s other arm to kiss his neck twice, sending butterflies through his stomach. The outside world was nice and quiet; Leo barely got himself buckled into his seat before dozing off with his head against the cool passenger window.

———
After their first escapade, Spencer was called away on a case in southern California. A week into the BAU’s investigation in the desert didn’t have them any closer to solving it, and the team retreated to their respective hotel rooms for a few hours of rest. The second his head hit the pillow, Spencer’s phone was out and dialing.
She picked up on the third ring, stifling a yawn. “Hi.”
“Hi. Sorry it’s so late,” he apologized.
“It’s okay.” He could hear her snuggling down under the covers. “I miss you.”
“I miss you, too.” He brought one of the hotel pillows closer, cuddling up against it and letting out a sigh. “I was thinking we could go to that new restaurant around the corner from you when I get back to DC.”
“Mmm, yeah, that sounds nice,” she agreed. He heard her sigh a little into the phone, then she continued, “We could also, um— try some more things.”
His head was constantly full of their first night together, and he basically had not stopped thinking about more things since he’d come in his pants on the couch. “Yeah. Yeah, I’d like that.”
“Good, because the possibilities are endless, Dr. Reid.”
He let his eyes close, let a smile play over his features, and let his mind relax for a second… and then his eyes were shooting open, and his brain was on overdrive, running through the pieces of the case in rapid succession. “I— I think I just figured something out. I— I have to go. I’ll— can I call you later?”
She laughed a little on the other end. “Go save some lives, Spence.”
The team stumbled off the jet less than 24 hours later, exhausted but more than satisfied with the outcome of the case— in large part thanks to Spencer’s late night epiphany.
“O’Keefe’s for a round?” Luke asked. “First one’s on me.”
There were murmurs of agreement from everyone... except Spencer. “Sorry, guys— rain check,” he called, already halfway across the bullpen and pulling on his jacket. He was through the double doors before anyone could ask any questions.
He loved the team, and he’d come to enjoy nights out with them, but right now he had more pressing matters to deal with. As he navigated the darkened streets of DC, he considered the predicament he’d found himself in. They were going on two months of official dating, but they’d been sort of seeing each other for nearly a month before that.
Even before he’d met her, Penelope had gushed about her constantly— a wonderful friend that she’d made through her new job, kind and smart and funny and lovely. What Penelope hadn’t mentioned was how beautiful she was— and he’d subsequently made a fool of himself when they first met: staring and stumbling over his words.
She hadn’t seemed to mind, and over the course of the evening, she’d proven to be every bit as lovely as Penelope had described, and then some.
He pulled up outside her apartment, shutting the door and hauling himself and his go-bag out of the car and up the sidewalk. He ran a slightly self conscious hand over his hair, checked his appearance in the glass of the foyer door, and then buzzed her apartment.
She buzzed him in, and he took the stairs two at a time, rounding the landing just to see her opening the door. The second he dropped his bag, he was wrapping her up in a hug and knocking the breath out of her. She expelled the air into his shoulder and then laughed as he clung to her.
“Well, hello to you, too,” she teased.
“I missed you,” he murmured, too content to be embarrassed.
Her arms came around him, and she squeezed him tight in response. “I missed you, too.” She held onto him for a moment longer before pulling back. “You must be exhausted. Are you hungry?”
Almost as if on cue, his stomach growled loud enough for them both to hear it. She cackled at his sheepish smile. “Chinese, Indian, or pizza?”
…
An hour later, they were two slices deep and cuddled together on the couch at the end of an episode of Dr. Who. She was tucked under his arm, her warm palm low on his tummy, her thumb rubbing a slow, repetitive path. As the credits rolled, she lifted her head to smile at him. “Tired?”
“A little.” His brain couldn’t focus on anything other than the warmth of her body pressed up against him, her hand so close to where he was desperate for her. He wanted her, but he didn’t know how to ask. “We can… try some things, though,” he decided on.
She brushed his hair back and met his eyes. “We don’t have to. Just because we did, doesn’t mean we’re obligated to every time we’re together.” She tilted her head. “You know that, right?”
He could feel the flush flooding his cheeks immediately, and he dropped his gaze and cleared his throat. “Yeah, of course.” Of course she didn’t want to do anything more with him. He was probably terrible at it before, and she just didn’t want to hurt his feelings. He shifted to stand from the couch, gathering up their plates and turning to bring them to the kitchen, desperate for a minute to collect himself.
He could feel her eyes on him. “Spence?” He set the plates in the sink, taking a deep breath and then turning to see that she’d followed him. She pressed her lips together, considering him with kind eyes. “You wanna let me in on whatever it is you’re thinking?”
He hesitated, tapping his fingers on the tops of his thighs, before deciding he should just come out with it. “I know I don’t know what I’m doing when it comes to… sex.” The last part came out in a low murmur— it seemed lewd to discuss this in the middle of her kitchen. “I’m sorry it wasn’t very good for you, and I’m not exactly sure how to fix that, but—”
“Whoa, whoa, whoa,” she chuckled. “Slow your roll. When did I ever say it wasn’t good for me?”
The memory of her— in his lap, her head thrown back, his fingers on her, his name falling from her lips— was suddenly on repeat in his mind. “I, um— I guess you didn’t.”
“I definitely didn’t,” she confirmed, stepping a little closer. “In fact, I’ve been thinking about it… a lot.”
His eyebrows shot into his hairline. “You have?”
“Mmhmm.” She brought her hand back to his tummy, just above his waistband, then ran it up the line of buttons on his shirt, stopping just above his heart. She met his gaze with soft eyes. “I just didn’t want you to think that— that sex is all I want to do with you. Or that you have to rush to make me happy. And it’s important that you know that if you’re tired, or overwhelmed, or just not in the mood, I don’t— you know, expect you to have sex with me.”
His heart leapt into his throat at the way she curled her fingers in his collar, the way she smiled quietly while he collected his thoughts, the way she gave him grace and space to consider his wants and needs. He was dangerously in love already, and he wasn’t sure quite how to say it without being the stupid virgin who fell in love with the first person he slept with.
And even with all of these thoughts of content and love and uncertainty swirling through his brain… he still really wanted to fuck her.
“I’m not that tired,” he breathed.
Her smile turned mischievous, and he swallowed audibly. “Well, then. We can start working through those possibilities?”
He was on her before she even finished the question, his mouth hot and hungry, his tongue sliding against hers, his hands on her waist and steering her toward her bedroom. She grinned as he trailed kisses down her throat and then where her t-shirt cut low along her collarbone. She turned them as they made it to the bed and pushed him to sit, breaking his mouth away from where it had been sucking a pretty pink mark.
She dropped to her knees and ran a firm hand over his cock through his trousers. He was wholly and completely unprepared for the sight of her looking up at him from in between his legs, and he momentarily forgot any and all plans he’d had. She paused to push her hair back out of her face, and he came to his senses.
“Wait.” She looked up at him, slightly confused. “I wanted to, um—”
When he didn’t continue, she tilted her head with an encouraging smile. “You wanted to what?”
“I wanted to, um— eat you out,” he said, and he could feel the flush in his ears. “Before. Because I get kind of sleepy after I come, and I— well, I can already tell I’m not gonna last long once you start, um…”
“Blowing you?” she prompted, and now she was just teasing him.
“Y-yeah.” He ran a nervous hand down his neck. “Is that okay?”
She stood up and stepped closer into his space, tangling her fingers in his hair and pulling his head back slightly. “Well, that depends. Did you read up on the literature?”
He returned her teasing smile, already more at ease. “You know I did.”
She pressed a quick kiss to his lips before stepping back to pull her shirt up over her head. She smirked at the way his eyes went wide and traveled over her form. His mouth dropped open as he tracked her hands, running down over her bare chest, her torso, and then to the waistband of her sweatpants. She pushed the pants down over her hips and let them pool at her feet, stepping out and back in between his legs. “So, what did the experts say?”
He swallowed audibly as she brought his hands to her chest. “Well, um,” he started, palms cupping her breasts. “Um, firstly— start slow. And vary— vary your attention,” he said, squeezing them lightly and brushing his thumbs over her hardened nipples.
He looked up at her face for guidance, and she smiled. “Then by all means— give me all the attention.”
He leaned forward immediately, tongue and teeth sucking and grazing and nipping at the soft skin of her breasts. He alternated between the two, drew each nipple into his mouth and moaned a little around them at the way she gasped when his teeth dragged on her skin. Her hands found purchase in his curls, tangling and tugging and holding him against her. He brought a hand down to her waist and pulled her in closer, slid his palm over her lace-covered ass and dug his fingers in, eliciting a very pretty sound from her throat.
He pressed his mouth once more to the valley in between her breasts, then stood and brought his hands to her face, leaning down to meet her in a soft kiss. He turned to have her sit back on the bed, and she stretched out over the pillows and pulled him down over her. He kissed her again, and then dragged his mouth down the column of her throat.
“Secondly,” he continued, “work your way down.” He did just that, his lips and tongue drawing out goosebumps and shivers as he moved down her body. When he reached the waistband of her underwear, he hooked his fingers into it, and she lifted her hips to allow him to pull them down her legs.
He started a path back up her legs, kissing her ankles, her shins, her knees. He ghosted his fingers over her thigh, silently asking for permission to continue. She let her legs fall open, and he made himself comfortable in between them. The reality hit him then— that as she opened her legs, she also opened herself up to him— all the most vulnerable and precious parts of her. His breath caught in his throat as he found her gaze on him, soft and sweet and steady.
He turned his head to kiss a path along her inner thigh, moving closer and closer to her center. He fanned his warm breath over her, and then he licked carefully around the hood of her clit, gentle at first. He flattened his tongue on either side of it, then pointed it to flick across once, twice, three times. Her hand immediately came down to tangle in his hair, and her hips twitched as he dragged his tongue flat over it.
“I don’t really understand the phenomenon of men being unable to find the clitoris,” he remarked, and then closed his mouth around it.
She let out a long, low moan when he sucked it between his lips, and her grip on his hair tightened. He alternated the suction with the swirl of his tongue around the hood, and she squirmed against the bed. He laid his forearm low across her hips to keep her still, and then he brought his thumb up to swipe at her entrance, and he moaned around her at the feel.
“Shit, you’re so wet,” he breathed. He brought his thumb, slick with her arousal, up to her clit and rubbed firm circles over it. “How’s that for pressure? Too hard?”
“N-no, oh— Spence, oh my god,” she whined.
“Do you prefer to rub side to side or in a circle?” He demonstrated each option, and she choked out his name again.
She drew in a shaky inhale, exhaled out, “Both, both, both.”
He sucked an open mouthed kiss to her inner thigh, then looked up to see her staring at him. “Do you like penetration? Or just clitoral stimulation?” he asked, stroking his thumb side to side over her clit.
She huffed out a breath. “You— god, you can finger me.”
He popped his index finger into his mouth, slicking it with spit and thinking of everything he’d read about it. He teased the pad of his finger around her slit, gathering up the wetness that had spilled out of her. “I’ll start with one? Make sure it’s slicked up, and then you can tell me if you’d like me to add another?”
She hummed in agreement, and he began to press inside of her. She took his finger easily, and he dropped his forehead to her thigh. “God, you’re— you’re so tight.” He withdrew his finger and then slipped it back in, groaning at the slickness. “Can you, um— can you tell me if this is— is this doing anything for you?” He probed gently, searching for the spot inside her that he knew might actually be difficult to find.
“Um— up, up,” she gasped. “Like, curl it up toward the ceiling and then sort of dra-a-a-g, oh, oh, oh.”
He followed her directions, curling his finger up and dragging it on the out stroke, and she was throwing her head back with a moan of his name. He repeated the motion over and over and then brought his mouth back to her clit. Both her hands came down to yank at his hair, and he groaned, causing her hips to jerk against his mouth.
“M-more, Spence, more, so close,” she whined.
When he withdrew his finger, he slipped a second one in beside it and then continued the curl-drag-thrust pattern while sucking and swirling his tongue around her clit. Her moans increased in frequency and volume, and he felt her squeeze impossibly tight around his fingers. He rutted into the bed as her grip on his hair held him still against her clit as she came.
She let out a final gasp of his name, and then she relaxed around him and her grip on his hair went slack. He slipped his fingers out of her, stared at them in relative awe as they glistened with her come. He sucked them into his mouth to clean them off, relatively surprised by how much he enjoyed the taste. He leaned forward and dragged his tongue over her, cleaning her up and savoring the way she lingered in his mouth.
“Shit, Spence,” she mumbled, grasping at his shoulder. “C’mere.”
He lifted his head and wiped his forearm across his chin. He watched her eyes go a little wide, and then she was dragging him up her body and crashing their mouths together. “You are so fucking hot,” she whispered. “I cannot believe you’ve never done that before. Such a good listener, baby.”
His hips canted forward desperately at the praise, and she sighed happily against his mouth. “Wanna blow you.”
She pushed gently at his chest and he sat back to let her up. She slid off the bed and tugged on his hand to move him to sit with his legs off the side. “Can we take some things off?” she asked, gesturing to his fully clothed form.
He nodded, and she popped the button on his trousers while he started on the button up. They made quick work of both, and she dragged his pants and underwear down in one motion. He shrugged out of his shirt and she took a step back to take him in.
“You’re so pretty, Spence.” She dragged her finger up from his knee, over his thigh, the trail of hair on his tummy, his chest, his throat— her eyes tracking the motion. He watched her face as she did so, the way her pupils dilated with lust and her tongue came out to wet her lips. She finally settled on his face, smiling and leaning forward to press her lips to his.
When she broke the kiss, she brought both hands up to cradle his face. “I’ve been thinking about this for a long time. If anything doesn’t feel good, just say so. You can put your hands on my head, pull my hair, whatever you like. If I want you to stop, I’ll tell you. Okay?”
“Okay,” he rasped.
She kissed him again, and then dropped to her knees and took him in hand. The vision of her— naked, post-orgasm, looking up at him with his cock poised at her mouth— was so absolutely and gloriously filthy that he almost came on the spot.
“You’re so big, Spence.” The wonderment seeped into her voice, and he couldn’t help but swell a little with pride. Her warm palm stroked over him, root to tip, and he fisted his hands in the duvet. “What was step one again?” she asked.
“Um. S-start slow,” he recalled.
She hummed in agreement, and then trailed the fingers of her free hand over the inside of his thigh. She turned her mouth to press hot, open-mouthed kisses to the other, slowly inching up closer to where she held him in her hand.
“Your skin is soft,” she murmured. Her nose brushing against the crease of this thigh. She switched sides, moved his cock into her other hand to trail her fingers over where her mouth had been. She sucked a mark into his thigh and then dragged her tongue over it, and he couldn’t take his eyes off her.
And then she shifted back to the center, flattened her tongue, and ran it up the vein on the underside of his cock. “Oh my god,” he whispered.
She huffed out a laugh and the way her warm breath cooled the trail of spit she’d left had him shivering. “God, this is gonna be so fun,” she murmured.
She held his cock up straight with one hand and repeated the motion of her tongue twice more, and then pressed a kiss to the tip. She held her tongue out flat and rubbed it along the underside of the head, running it along the divide between the tip and the shaft. And then she closed her mouth around the head and swirled her tongue around it, and his eyes rolled back in his head.
“Fuck, Y/N.” His knuckles turned white as he gripped the sheets, and then he felt her free hand tug at his fist. He opened his eyes as she guided his fingers into her hair. She locked eyes with him and then sucked gently on the tip of his cock. He fisted his hand and tugged, and she closed her eyes and moaned around him.
The vibration of her voice had his hips thrusting forward a little into her mouth, and she pulled back with a grin. He couldn’t even form the words to apologize before she was licking down his shaft and murmuring, “Mm, and vary the attention, right?”
With that, she laved her tongue over his balls, slicking them up with her spit. He realized he’d been holding his breath, sucking in a gasp as she sucked one of them into her mouth. She hummed around it and then let it out with a soft pop, moving to draw the other one in. He hadn’t even considered that he would enjoy having his balls in her mouth, but now that they were there he knew he’d literally never stop thinking about it.
She pulled back to take a breath, bringing a hand up to cup and massage his balls and stroke over his length at the same time. “Step two?” she prompted, looking up at him from in between his legs.
“Work your way down,” he reminded her, petting over her hair in awe.
“Ah, yes.” She brought her mouth back to the tip, sticking out her tongue and rubbing it along the sensitive spot just under the head. She kept her mouth open and held him in hand, alternating between wet kisses and swirling her tongue. And then she sucked it into her mouth, still moving her tongue back and forth as she started to sink further down his length.
In his mind, he was singing her praises from the metaphorical rooftops, but in reality, her mouth was so hot and wet that all he could do was stare stupidly at the way his cock disappeared between her lips. She continued to massage his slick balls in her free hand as she took him in, inch by inch. Each time she pulled back to suckle the head, she stroked the circle of her other hand over the spit-covered length of him.
On the next pass down, he felt the head of his cock press into the back of her throat, and his hands shot to her hair, holding tight. “Holy shit, Y/N, I—” he choked on the rest of the sentence as she took him an inch further, then simultaneously sucked and pulled back to the tip.
She tapped the tip of his cock to her spit-slick smile, kissing it teasingly. “Do you wanna tell me what to do?”
“M-more of that,” he begged, watching as she dragged her lips down the side of his cock.
She chuckled, and the way it buzzed against the side of his cock had him short of breath. “Yeah— I thought you’d like that.” She pumped his length with her hand and then held her tongue out flat, bobbing her head until he hit the back of her throat.
When she pulled back, he watched a trail of spit drip down her chin, and felt his cock twitch at the idea of her quite literally drooling over him. He barely resisted the urge to pinch his thigh, not willing to wake himself up if this was actually a dream. He brought a hand to her chin and used his thumb to gather the spit, and then brought it up to suck it into his mouth.
Her mouth dropped open as she watched him swallow, and he briefly began to panic, but then she was surging upward to slot her mouth over his in a hot kiss. “How is everything you do so fucking hot?” she murmured against his lips.
“I could say the same for you,” he countered, kissing her again.
“I want you to come in my mouth, okay?” she asked.
He nodded vigorously. “Shit, yeah, yeah.”
“Don’t hold back,” she demanded, and then she was dropping back down to take him in again.
She left her mouth open, tongue laid flat, and took him into her throat— once, twice, three times. She choked around him and then pulled back to take a breath. She repeated this pattern again, and again, occasionally sucking on the head or even grazing her teeth just so. Spencer held her head between his hands, staring down at her with reverence. He couldn’t stop the litany of praise falling from his lips— mostly just gasps and moans of her name, but occasionally he found the mental capacity for so beautiful, or perfect mouth, or so good, baby.
He could feel his orgasm drawing closer with every press into her throat, so incredibly tight that it was dizzying. She pulled all the way off to jerk his cock, a tight circle of her fingers gliding along his length with a squelching sound. She squeezed the base of him, dropped her hand to tug at his balls, and sunk her mouth down his length, holding him in her throat and swallowing, moaning low and long around him.
She looked up at him then, and it was that which finally brought him over the edge— not that she was on her knees with his cock in her throat, but that she didn’t look away as he came undone. The fact that she was paying such close attention to him coupled with the trust and vulnerability required for this moment was too much to handle. His orgasm hit him like a train, his toes curling and fingers twitching in her hair as he came. She continued swallowing around him, and he fought to keep his eyes open, not willing to miss a single second of this moment.
When he was finished, she slowly drew back, sucking gently along his softening length and pressing a kiss to the head. He did close his eyes then, cradling her head in his hands and rubbing his thumbs along her cheeks. She used his thighs as leverage to pull herself up, and he heard her suck in a sharp breath. His eyes shot open to see her rubbing at her knees— red and a little raw.
“I’m sorry, I should have— I could have gotten you a pillow.” He pulled her closer and replaced her hands with his own, soothing the marks.
She laughed and brushed a reassuring hand over his hair. “Occupational hazard.”
The scratchy rasp of her voice had his cock twitching. “I know I don’t have anything to compare it to, but you’re unbelievably good at that.”
She brought her hands to his face, tilting it up to meet his eyes. “You’re not the only one who reads the literature.”
Her even tone and steady gaze proved she wasn’t teasing or mocking, and he fell just a little bit deeper in love. He met her halfway in a kiss that was infinitely and luminously sweet and wondered just what in the world he was going to do about that.

Technically a sequel to The Sorcerer and The Agent
When you stepped off the jet and onto the landing, you let out a long breath of relief. That field mission was finally over. It was an early call that got you out of bed before the sun came up. Too early for your body to function, but with the encouragement of coffee and Captain Rogers forcing you out of bed, you conquered the task. You checked your phone for the time, it was now around noon. You were ready to sit down, maybe even take a nap. You desperately needed a break.
But you knew you would not be able to rest.
Tony was already on your ass. He came out of nowhere, scaring the life back into you, and shoved a tablet in your hands. "Before you file your report, you got another one."
You groaned, falling into step beside him to make your way into the building. "Already?"
Tony pushed a few things on your tablet and an image came up. It was one of the objects you had recovered from this morning's mission. On the side was a stream of jumbled letters and numbers.
"Decoding, seriously?"
Tony shrugged, with a grin on his face that you wanted to punch off. "Hey, you're best for the job."
"Can't FRIDAY just run through it?"
"Where's the fun in that?"
You glared at him.
"Come on, you got this."
You rolled your eyes, "Fine. Only because it might give us a new lead."
"Atta girl! Don't stress yourself out."
You were already stressed.
"Oh and by the way, someone in the lounge is here to see you."
After a brief moment of surprise, you knew who it was. Tony saw the smile appear on your face, then winked at you. You rolled your eyes at him.
You tucked the tablet under your arm and made your way to the lounge. Maybe you were getting a little break before continuing for the day after all. A small amount of energy that came from your happiness pushed you forwards.
When you got there, sure enough, there he was.
"Hey, I thought you might want coffee."
You chuckled. Of course you wanted coffee.
Stephen Strange had a coffee tray in his hands that had two cups in it. He was standing around looking a little awkward, a little out of place at the compound. He looked relived to see you, as if anyone else in the doorway would made him embarrassed. His serious demeanor was no where in sight, a hint of warmth in his cheeks.
He wasn't wearing his sorcerer robes, but casual clothes. A jacket, dark jeans, sneakers, a t-shirt, simple things that you got to see him in more often now. You liked it. Very much.
Without any hesitation, you made your way over to him. Giving him a big smile the entire way. You put your tablet down so you could take the cup he was holding out for you. "Thank you." Your gloved hands brushed against his bare shaking ones. The contact was enough to widen your smile.
"Don't mention it."
"Hi! How are you? What's new?" You asked him, leaning one hand on a table and sipping your coffee with the other.
Stephen let out a breath, "Well this morning I helped to try and close a dimensional rip in space time. If we hadn't managed to close it then it would have swallowed an entire country."
"Sounds exciting, Doctor." You hid a smirk behind a look of playfully exaggerated interest.
"Oh it was." He was trying to hide a smirk too, "How about you, Agent (L/N)?" His cheek twitched, trying desperately to not let that smirk slide through.
"Well I just came back from a mission in London where an very well hidden Hydra base was found. There were a few of their agents there, kicked some ass, and managed to recover some of their tech and files. You know, normal things."
"This is a very casual conversation despite its content." He commented.
You both broke after that, smirks turning into fits of chuckles. You reached up and kissed him on the cheek.
The two of you were developing into a 'thing' recently. Whenever he would come to the compound, you would have your eye on him. And you could feel his eye on you as well. It had been going back and forth for a while, finding excuses to talk to each other and purposely being in the same room as one another. Casual attraction.
You noticed the little details in him. Taking every opportunity to make a snarky comment during meetings. Dedication and a 'cool calm' overtaking him whenever disusing anything serious. His gaze of sparkling blue, sharp features, and welcoming smile. The very presence of him either made your heart stop or quicken, sometimes both simultaneously.
Whenever you were both having a conversation, whether for work or just friendly chatter, you found yourself entranced by him. His voice, his gorgeous face, his personality. Not casual attraction anymore, you were sightly obsessed.
But there was always this look in his eyes, that he recognized your attraction to him. And a look that told you he had similar emotions. You just knew it. You paid attention to him. You noticed him paying attention to you with interest, catching him staring on occasion.
Things had went from zero to one hundred at a party that Tony threw last week. You had a little too much to drink. Stephen did too. You found yourselves alone. Things escalated from there. You woke up the next morning in his bed in the New York sanctum, cuddled in his arms. You both went out for breakfast that morning. He took you out for dinner a day after.
Ever since then, he shows up at the compound when he can, or calls you to ask how you are doing. Work for both of you has gotten pretty busy lately so finding time to go out together was hard. But you promised each other another date as soon as you both were free.
This was a long time coming, you both knew that. All it took was one little push. But you did not expect that push to be a little alcohol. It happened anyways, so you decided to take it without complaints.
Stephen looked around, making sure no one else was in the room to intrude. After confirming, he leaned down and stole a kiss from you. You giggled and let him, leaning up into him. He pulled away to let you have another sip of your coffee.
He wasn't drinking from his own cup. You felt his eyes on you. It did not take long to figure out why. You were still in your uniform, one that is similar to Natasha's. Black bodysuit, weapons belt. Skin tight. A blush crept up on your face, some memories coming back from that night. He has seen you wearing this before, but now his gaze had a different weight to it.
"Liking the view, Strange?" You asked with a raised eyebrow and mischief glittering in your eyes.
He shrugged, "Now that I know what it all looks like, I like the view even more." Casual. Calm. Cocky.
You playfully smacked him on the shoulder, bringing his hint of a smile into light. Tucking the tablet under your arm, coffee in one hand and Stephen's own hand in another, you pulled him over to one of the couches. The two of you sat down. "I have a little tech and paperwork to do right now. You're welcome to stay while I do it, if you're free."
He relaxed beside you, an arm slinging over the back of the couch. "I've got time. Wong is watching the Sanctum, I have the afternoon off."
"Maybe if I finish early we can go out?" You asked with a perky smile.
He gestured to your open tablet. "Better get to work then." You laughed, quickly kissed him, and did get to work. You explained to him your tasks, the decoding you needed to do and then fill out your mission report file. He seemed interested, looking over your shoulder the whole time as you explained your process. He watched you complete the decoding, send the results to the cloud, and start typing away at your morning's mission report.
Stephen's presence behind you the entire time was comforting, taking away some of the stress of your busy work. His warmth and the smell of coffee in the air made you content. You felt him start to fiddle with the tails of your hair, you jokingly swatting him away before he went right back to it.
During the breakfast date, and the dinner date, you saw more little things about him you liked. There was curiosity and interest in his eyes. Behind that serious shell was gentleness and kindness, a full heart who thinks for others. It was like after that night, you got to see the real Stephen Strange, not the Sorcerer Supreme. He was a gentle lover, even drunk, making sure you were comfortable the entire time. Eating out together, he was a gentleman. Seeing him around the compound, he seemed to be smiling more.
You never knew the great Doctor Stephen Strange was a total softy. It made you like him even more.
While writing, you found yourself putting extra care into reviewing the mission and its details. This may have been caused by knowing Stephen was watching your every move and you wanted to make a good impression of your work ethic. You made sure to skim through for any mistakes or typos in your writing as well. After some time, discarded cups on the coffee table and Stephen now subtly nuzzling your neck, you submitted your report.
"Do you have to do that after every mission?" The man who was practically wrapping his entire body around yours on the couch asked.
"Yeah. That was one of the longer ones. Most things were more straightforward this time around, but I did a lot in London today." You heaved a sigh, momentary wiggled out of Stephen's arms to plunk your tablet down on the coffee table, and relaxed back into the couch.
"Have anything else to do?" He asked.
"Not currently." You turned to him, now giving him your full attention. He seemed to like it.
"Well then, maybe you and me can go grab lunch?"
"I'd like that."
You watched his eyes dip down, briefly glancing at your lips before looking back up at your eyes. You caught him. This told you what he was thinking about, and soon you were thinking about it yourself. And then you were doing it. One of his hands rested on your cheek, the other found your waist as he kissed you. Your hands tangled around his neck and up into his hair gently.
It was like you lost track of time. You just focused on Stephen, a hand of his running over the fabric of your tight uniform.
"I'm glad Tony threw that party."
You and Stephen urgently parted at the interruption. Standing in the doorway, Steve and Natasha had smug grins. They were still in their uniforms from the mission, Steve's shield strapped across his back. You groaned.
When you told only one person that you went home with Stephen that night, it had spread through the compound like wildfire. Your coworkers all knew, and they were relieved. Finally, they had said. You must have not noticed how obvious you and Stephen's electric stares and intrigued chatter were.
You were a little embarrassed at being caught making out, but the embarrassment practically radiated off Stephen. He immediately straightened upright and cleared his throat. Apparently he did not show his vulnerable side to anyone but you, him instantly clicking back into a neutral expression when facing someone else.
Nat got right to the point, ignoring the irritated look on your face, "We got a new lead. There was a new location marked in one of their files found in London. Venice. We leave in thirty."
A frown glazed your features. You were really looking forward to spending some time with Stephen again. You looked at Stephen, who shared a mutual disappointed look in his eyes. But you knew that he would go let you work. It was annoying.
It wouldn't hurt to ask. Would it?
You stood up from the couch, grabbing your tablet to pull up your report again. You strided towards your bosses, a lick of confidence in your posture.
"Um actually I was kinda hoping if I could get the rest of the day off." You sang.
Steve let out a breath in a smug laugh, while Nat was hiding one of her own.
With a smile, you handed Nat your tablet, the mission report on the screen. Clean, detailed, care put into it, reflecting your hard work you had accomplished all morning. You saw her eyes look it over, the captain leaning in to do the same.
"You did work hard this morning." Steve pointed out.
"And you did eventually save our asses in the end." Nat added.
As you said to Stephen earlier, you did kick ass during the mission.
You gave them a look of hope. It was obvious what you wanted, they both knew it. For some reason you felt like they were lengthening the moment to tease you. To leave you in anticipation.
After what felt like minutes instead of seconds, the two turned to each other and exchanged expressions. Steve nodded. Natasha handed back your tablet.
"Go play with your sorcerer and his magic hands." Natasha whispered to you with a wink. A deep blush crept up onto your neck, and you saw her smirk. Scrunching your face up in a mock sneer, you snatched your tablet back.
"Have fun, you two." Steve said as a goodbye, and him and Natasha left the lounge to get ready for part two of today's investigation.
You turned back to Stephen. He had an impressed look on his face. Now standing, he threw away your empty coffee cups in a nearby bin."You didn't have to do that, you know."
"Too bad. Already did." You shrugged, sauntering back over to stand in front of him.
Stephen gave you a smile, and opened a slingring portal right in front of you both. "Then lets go."
You put down your tablet and went to empty your weapons belt. "I'm still in uniform, Stephen." You laughed, "I should go change first."
The sorcerer snapped his fingers, and your skintight Avengers uniform turned into a pair of leggings and a blouse. An outfit Stephen had complimented you on last week. You were surprised he remembered it.
You rolled your eyes at him, and before you could say anything, he grabbed your hand and pulled you through the portal.

Call It What You Want
Everyone around them is trying to discover the true nature of Y/N and Spencer’s relationship. Little do they know Y/N is trying to figure out the exact same thing.
A/N: Sorry this took a lot longer than I wanted it to.... Mental health is hard but here it is!! I hope you guys love it :)) Additionally I added a lil garvez to this... but for it to work with the timeline we’re all just gonna pretend Lisa doesn’t exist... ok great!
Pairing: Spencer Reid x Fem!Reader (with a little splash of implied Garvez content for my personal joy)
Requested?: Yes!! :)) “can you do a one shot based off call it what you want??”
Type: Fluffiest Fluff
Word Count: 3K
Content Warnings: None!
“My baby's fly like a jet stream High above the whole scene Loves me like I'm brand new So call it what you want, yeah, call it what you want to”
The team was sure something was going on between Y/N and Spencer, they just weren’t sure how to prove it.
Every sign pointed to the two dating, but the pair hadn’t said anything about it. Maybe they were trying to keep it a secret, but at the same time they didn’t appear to be being very secretive about it.
So ever since Penelope saw Y/N giving Spencer a ride home a week ago, she has been determined to uncover the truth, and hopefully the truth was her two best friends were in the world’s cutest, most perfect relationship.
She was using her technical brilliance to gather data when she was caught by none other than Luke Alvez.
“What are you doing in here?”
“This is my job Luke, I have to be in here,” she rolled her eyes.
“Well, I know that! I mean what are you doing right now, we don’t have a case.” he smirked “Are you committing any cyber crimes? You know you could get in a lot of trouble for those, the FBI won’t help you. You should let me help.”
She smiled, “You do know I got my job here from committing cyber crimes right? I don’t think I would need your help. Besides, I’m working on a personal project.” After some thought she decided Luke might actually be helpful “I’m trying to find out if Spencer and Y/N are dating.”
“I swear I saw them leaving together yesterday, that seems like pretty good evidence! I could be very helpful to you.”
“I’m way ahead of you, but I guess you can help,” she pulled up a new tab, quickly constructing a timeline while Luke pulled a chair next to her. “So our favorite pair’s relationship would, based on my intense experimentation and surveying, begin here,” she traced a circle around the start of the timeline with her cursor, “on that night we went out after the case and then wouldn’t stop talking to each other.”
Luke and Penelope discussed all the things they saw that led them to believe that Y/N and Spencer were more than just friends, from how keen Y/N was to listen to anything that came out of Spencer’s mouth no matter how difficult to follow, to Spencer’s willingness to touch her. After about 15 minutes however they were interrupted by none other than Y/N herself. Penelope quickly switched tabs, so that it now appeared she was just showing Luke a funny kitten video.
“Hey guys! What are you doing in here?” “Oh you know, just wasting time. . . What’s up?” said Luke.
“I was just checking to see if you wanted to go to lunch! If you have any opinions as to where that would be great too because no one out there can make a decision . . .”
“Of course I want lunch! I’ll be out there in just a sec,” Penelope smiled and started closing her work done as soon as Y/N left, almost forgetting Luke’s presence.
“Um, Penelope?”
“What is it Luke?”
“Do you think you’d ever do anything like what Y/N and Spencer are doing?” he asked.
“Like what? Keep a secret? You know I’m terrible at that stuff.”
“No, no I mean like . . .” he took a deep breath, “You know, like dating a coworker?”
“What does that have to do with anything? Now hurry up and come to lunch, we can keep working afterwards,” she replied.
Luke awkwardly smiled, and they both left.
Little did Luke and Penelope know that as they debated and pieced together aspects of Y/N and Spencer’s relationship, trying to uncover if they were dating, Y/N was doing the exact same thing.
Her and Spencer had been on three dates, each more boyfriend and girlfriend than the last. They got coffee one day, then went to a movie, then a nice restaurant for dinner. Tonight Spencer wanted to keep it a surprise, but that just made her even more confused.
Sometimes her and Spencer would sit next to each other at the round table, and now when they did that he would reach over, not to hold her hand, but just to link their pinkies together.
She didn’t know what that meant.
Sometimes Y/N would go on a tangent and realize she had been talking for almost an hour about nothing in particular, and when she realized Spencer was the only one still listening would apologize for wasting his time. To which he would reply, “Why would I be upset about spending time with you?” She didn’t know what that meant.
And one time, on her and Spencer’s first “date” they were about to part their separate directions, and Y/N had no idea what to do with her body or her hands, Spencer wrapped her into a hug, and she swore she felt his lips brushing against the top of her head.
She really didn’t know what that meant.
Which is why she continued to let Penelope and Luke have their fun trying to decipher her and Spencer’s social cues. She knew as soon as she was about to enter to ask about lunch, Penelope was not exactly quiet and Luke wasn’t any better, but she let them believe they were being sneaky.
Besides, maybe if they found the answer they could let her know.
When the team returned from lunch she couldn’t help but continue to contemplate this issue further, Spencer hadn’t really said anything to her at lunch. Were they still just friends? Were they dating but not telling anyone? Were they going to tell anyone?
“Y/N! Are you excited to hang out tonight?” Spencer asked.
Hang out. So it definitely was not a date. . .
“Of course! Right after work right? Your place?”
“Yep! It’s a date,” he smiled and walked away, leaving Y/N in a state of confused panic. What was this? For someone so logical and scientific, Y/N wished that Spencer Reid would just tell her the kingdom, phylum, class, order, family, and genus of their relationship.
Maybe then she could stop dissecting it to try and figure it out.
♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡
As Y/N stood outside Spencer’s apartment building, she struggled to muster up courage to go inside. It’s not that she was nervous to hang out with Spencer, it was just Y/N knew she needed to have the “what are we” talk with him for her own personal sanity. And she just wasn’t sure yet what his answer would be.
She had made her way into the building and gotten to Spencer’s floor when she ran into the man of the hour himself.
“Oh there you are! I was about to come down and get you,” he said.
Y/N glanced at her phone, “I’m sorry, am I late?”
“No, no, no. You’re perfect, I just got excited.”
That confused Y/N even more, she couldn’t decide if that leaned more towards friend or date territory. However all of her anxieties were forgotten for a moment as soon as she entered Spencer’s apartment.
Almost all the lights were off, except for several strings of lights shaped like stars, strung in different directions across the room. In the corner were several folded up blankets and sheets, and pillows were spread out across the room.
“Do you like it?”
“I love it, although if I’m being honest I don’t really know what it is . . .”
“13 months ago we were on a case, the one were the unsub was killing couples when they went out camping so that no one would look for them for days, and you said that you used to go camping all the time but you didn’t think you could go anymore. So I bought stuff so we could go camping together, right here.”
Y/N was left almost speechless, “I- I don’t even know what to say, Spencer this is incredible.”
He beamed, instantly satisfied with that answer. “I tried to find a tent, but all of the stores I went to said I should order one online . . . I figured it would be more fun to build a fort instead.”
Spencer brought over the supplies he had bought and gathered, various sheets and comforters, pillows, his leather couch cushions, sleeping bags, a large collection of clothes pins, and some more lights. Except Spencer left a single bag in the pile, the only one from a craft store.
“Do you want me to grab that one?” Y/N asked.
“Oh um, no don’t worry about that one. I saw something stupid on that site JJ and Garcia really like while I was passing JJ’s desk. . . Pinterest? Yes that’s it. And I tried to make it but even though I memorized the instructions I couldn’t get it to work. . . I kind of just gave up and threw everything in there.”
“Can I try it?”
He nodded, and Y/N got up and glanced into the bag, in it was a push light, warm toned tissue paper and a couple empty paper towel rolls, all stuck together, but also somehow falling apart. Y/N couldn’t help but smile, “Were you trying to build me a campfire Dr. Reid?”
“Well you said that your family used to have this big bonfire every year, and that it used to be one of your favorite traditions until you couldn’t handle going anymore, so I thought I could make one that would be a little safer for you. Turns out that you actually need four PHDs to be good at crafts though.”
“Spencer this whole date is the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me . . . Thank you.”
“Of course, I really want you to enjoy yourself when you're around me Y/N.”
“Spencer, I’ve never not enjoyed myself when I’m around you, and you were with me when I got shot. You’re my favorite person, you do know that right?”
He blushed, “You’re my favorite person too Y/N.”
So the two lovers built a blanket fort, draping sheets over string lights and shoving the inside full of pillows and blankets, giggling the entire time. Y/N taught Spencer the simplicity of DIY projects, and how sometimes the directions needed to be adjusted slightly based on personal preferences and ability. Soon the pair were cuddled up together on the ground, no other space to be except for right next to each other, as the rest of the fort was covered by snacks, pillows, their homemade campfire, and Spencer’s vinyl record player.
“Did you do this on purpose? Making me be so close to you?”
“No, I would never, it’s not my fault this area is so small . . . “
“Mhm, although I’m sure a genius like you could figure out how to make an adult sized fort, I’m very glad you didn’t,” she said, giggling and squishing herself closer to him. They smiled and kissed each other, before Spencer spoke.
“You make me so, unbelievably, happy. I never thought I could feel like this until we met Y/N.”
Y/N smiled even bigger, “Spencer I really, really like you,” she paused, it was now or never, “but um, what do you want to call this, like what we’re doing.”
“Well what do you want this to be? Because I want you to be my girlfriend.”
She smiled, “I want you to be my boyfriend.”
“Well then that’s what we’ll be,” he said, kissing her on the forehead.
“Well you do know the team, particularly Penelope and Luke have the exact same question.”
“Well I think more than Luke wondering if we’re dating, I think he’s just wondering if Penelope will date him. . . So I say let them have their fun for a little while, before we tell everyone.”
She smiled, “Perfect. They’re profilers, they’ll figure it out eventually.”
“Well, I think we should watch a movie. . . Although I mostly enjoy my cinema in Russian, tonight is about you and I don’t want to give you a headache. What’s your favorite?”
“You’re going to laugh at me.”
“I promise I will not laugh at you darling.”
“High School Musical 3.”
♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡
So Y/N spent the rest of that night explaining the plot of the first two High School Musical movies, then explaining why the third one was the clear winner, and then finally showing Spencer the third one off of her phone, where she had it saved to her cloud for emergencies.
And although singing and dancing adults pretending to be teenagers was not exactly Spencer’s favorite genre, he loved how happy the series as a whole made Y/N. So he latched onto it, and learned as much as he could about it.
One particular scene however, in one of the earlier films, seemed to make Y/N extra excited, as she spent the longest amount of time talking about it. So Spencer decided he knew exactly what to do to prove to her he was in this relationship for the long haul.
Spencer could tell she was anxious before their date, and it didn’t take him long to guess that it was because she didn’t know how serious everything was to him. Yet, he didn’t want to be too obvious that he wanted her to be his, because if he had assessed wrong he would make a complete fool out of himself.
But when she asked him, she seemed so nervous, so small, he knew he had made a mistake in waiting, and now he wanted to make it up to her.
So as she was walking in the next day he caught her. “Y/N!”
“Hi Spencer! What’s up?”
“I have a present for you. . .” he said, handing her a small box wrapped in shiny gold paper.
“For me? Why?”
“Oh you know, just because. . .”
As Y/N unwrapped the box, Spencer got more and more nervous… What if she hated it? What if she thought it was stupid or too soon or didn’t get it or-
“Oh my god Spencer I-”
“You know what it’s stupid, I don’t even know why I got it for you. I can return it and find you something you’ll actually like-”
“I love it Spencer, it’s perfect. Will you put it on me?”
Spencer hooked the chain around his new girlfriend’s neck, the small “S” pendant shining in the light.
“It’s like Gabriella’s. . . I love it. I can’t believe you would care to remember something like that…”
“Of course I would remember that. I have an eidetic memory. Did you know that although the original purpose and origin of initial jewelry was largely unknown, they date back to the 14th century?”
“No, I just mean… It’s very thoughtful Spencer.”
He smiled, “Well I’m sorry to kill the mood, but I really have to go to the bathroom. I drank 3 cups of coffee this morning and I was standing here waiting for you for 18 minutes and 4 seconds before you came in.”
She laughed, and then hugged him, “Well don’t just stand here! Go!”
Spencer ran off, leaving Y/N to walk into the bullpen alone. As Y/N was making her way to her desk, she was stopped by none other than Penelope Garcia and Luke Alvez, Penelope up front, Luke standing a foot or so behind her, ready to back her up.
“Y/N! We know your secret, you and Spencer are secretly dating. . . We figured it out this morning. You can’t hide from us anymore,” Penelope said, Luke nodding behind her.
“Well yeah we’re dating, but it’s not a secret.”
“What? Excuse me? You haven’t told anyone!”
“Yeah but we haven’t really made any effort to hide it? We told everyone about the time we went to the movies?”
“Yeah but- Um, we just thought we were being sneaky. . .” Penelope said.
“You might wanna get a little better at that guys, the Bat Cave is not soundproof.”
“Dang it, I really need to work on that…” Penelope said. “Well Luke Alvez, I suppose our quest has been conquered.”
“See! We were right, I told you I’m great help,” Luke said.
“Oh don’t get it too twisted, this was almost all me.”
After a moment of playful banter, Y/N stopped them “So when are you two going to start “secretly” dating huh?”
“Uh hmph, I don’t know what you talking about. I would never,” Penelope said.
At that moment, Spencer returned from the bathroom, and came up upon Y/N hugging her from behind and leaning to rest his head on her shoulder. “What are we talking about?”
Penelope threw her head back in defeat, “Nothing, 187, we were just talking. . .”
“Don’t you think Luke and Penelope would make the cutest couple Spencer?” Y/N smirked.
“You know what? Yeah I do!” Spencer played along, “Have you guys ever thought about that?
Luke was beaming behind Penelope, while she looked like she was trying to hide her enthusiasm. “No actually I haven’t,” she said.
“Well you definitely should,” Y/N said, giggling as her and Spencer walked to his desk.
“Hey, wait come back here! What does your necklace have on it?” Penelope asked, half running after them, Luke closely behind her.
“Whatever you want Penelope, whatever you want.”
“I want to wear his initial On a chain round my neck, chain round my neck Not because he owns me But 'cause he really knows me”
