Renee and Vincent had just visited the hospital when they saw a toddler crying alone on a bench. Vincent couldn't bear to see this happening and rushed over to help. "I hate D-Daddy!" he cried through muffled sobs. "Hey, that's my son!" someone yelled. He picked up the kid and went to the guy.

It was clear to Marco that Casper was refusing to let go of the stranger's arms and he dramatically sighed, "If you don't give him back, I'm calling my lawyer!" Oh he had the audacity to blame him even though it was his own fault his son would much rather stay in this stranger's arms. And this stranger was also a lawyer.

Vincent had no idea who this problematic guy was but he was hella annoying! He had a hunch of what was happening and had dealt with cases like this before. Seeing the pleading eyes of the kid in his arms reminded him of the neglect from his own father.

"For fuck sake Marco," Petrah cursed under her breath, "Honey! Let's not make a scene, there are people here," she shot secret daggers at him, worried about her reputation. If paparazzi saw any of this-

Then Renee came over, "Calm down sir." When he wouldn't, she gave up and showed her police ID. Marco recognised her but couldn't quite place when they'd met. But she was a detective and he didn't want to get into trouble. You're in deep shit now Marco...

"I apologise for my husband's childish outburst but I can explain." With her best acting skills, Petrah explained the situation her own way. "Let me buy you some drinks perhaps?" she didn't want to get into trouble either and surprisingly settled all the misunderstandings.

I was watching some old bbc radio 1 clips and hearing their old introduction for the radio show, them describing it as putting the audience in charge, and thinking about answering fan questions for the basis of pinof, thinking about interactive introverts and giving the people what they want. For so long, their content has been SO connected to us, to interacting with us, answering our questions, giving us some element of control.

If you ask us why we watch Dan and Phil, we’d probably say for their dynamic, because we enjoy them as people and think they’re entertaining and enjoy how they interact together. But if you ask what kind of content Dan and Phil have made, it’s mainly stuff where they are trying to centers fans, not themselves. And sure, they have made lots of story time videos in their individual content, but I’m talking joint content: they’ve made an effort to make it about us, for years. Even when they started the gaming channel, then, they were trying to center the games, the competition of it all, not their dynamic.

Given everything that’s happened, it makes sense that they wanted to hold onto their privacy, and not make their relationship the center of the content. They weren’t comfortable being out, or comfortable fully inviting us to scrutinize their dynamic. So giving the audience “control,” deflecting the attention away from “we want to do this” and “we want you to know this” to “you want us to do this” and “you want to know this” as a defense mechanism. Yet they still maintained actual control, selecting which audience questions and suggestions to include, while making fans feel valued and involved.

And this isn’t a bad thing! They are fully entitled to their privacy, and this emphasis on interaction with us is a large part of why I think they built such a strong and wonderful community. And they clearly actually do like us and are glad to have us, so there’s also some element of gratitude and wanting to give back in wanting us to be included in the content.

But that’s changing, now. What Dan and Phil text each other, spill or kill, the mukbangs, this is all parts of themselves and their dynamic that they are freely choosing to share with us, to make the topic of the video. Their gaming videos are not about playing popular games, it’s just random bullshit or niche games that just give them a chance to yap, intentionally centering their dynamic in the content. And sure, there’s them looking at phan twitter, but there’s also them just sitting and watching tik toks and recording it so we can see too. We talk about feeling like a third wheel so much recently, because they are so comfortable and themselves on camera and so much less focused on directing the content towards us, and more focused on just having fun Together.

They came back to the gaming channel not to make us happy, but because it made THEM happy, because Dan genuinely wanted to again. Comparing how they talk about the content they were making in 2018 to now in the last mukbang, there’s now no feeling of owing us something, of wanting to give us what we want to make us happy. Dan said he can’t wait for Phil to Get to see us all in person, not just that they know we want to see them. They are doing this for themselves, they’ve repeatedly said that they’re shocked at the response to the gaming channel coming back: they didn’t make this choice for us.

They are now explicitly in control of their content, it’s not about us. And yet they’re Choosing to center their dynamic and be themselves, show us more of themselves than ever before. After everything, I just think it’s really special that they feel comfortable doing that, and I’m so glad that we get to see them be so happy and doing things for their own good.

what's the transformers au gonna be about?

I’m calling it TF: Earthbound AU! It’s heavily inspired by my two favorite Transformers shows, Transformers: Prime and Transformers: Animated.

Essentially, the background is that Cybertron was so war ravaged that it became inhabitable, so some time before everyone left the planet, Autobots began traveling off world to look for safe planets to take refuge. One of the planets they found was earth.

However, upon finding earth, they quickly realize that this strange planet is somehow linked to Cybertron. Not only can it inhabit Cybertronians easily, but it naturally grows Energon. The Autobots are shocked by this discovery, and keep it quiet so that Decepticons don’t uncover the secret.

Autobot scientists began to quietly study earth before Cybertron died. They only sent a few at a time to collect samples, gather information, make theories, etc. so that Decepticons would not take interest in what they were doing.

When their planet does inevitably fail, Cybertronians are scattered off world. The Autobots still don’t know “enough” about earth and are desperate to keep its secret hidden. A team is sent to earth to continue studying its link to Cybertron, and to try and slowly connect with the natives so that refugees will be allowed to come to their planet.

Team Prime, consisting of Optimus Prime, Ratchet, Wheeljack, Arcee, Bumblebee, and First Aid, arrive on earth and make contact with humans. They are kept underground for 15 years, per the governments wishes (and theirs for the time being) while they continue to study earth and defend it from wandering Decepticons.

Still kinda figuring out what happens after that, but they DO have human companions over time! (Jack, Miko, Raf, and Sari)

I only have Optimus’ design out right now, but I also hope to get character sheets with their information down soon as well!

I'm curious on what do you think about genderbend au of mouthwashing since I see a lot of people hates it for not "getting the point" and "erases the plot"

While some genderbends of it from what i see is never intended to be a serious au all of them are just like silly fanarts

Short answer? No, I don't think it inherently takes away from the plot and misses the point and people are allowed to have fun with their psychological horror video game however they like.

Long answer? I already have some pretty stickler opinions about genderbends as is simply put: Alot of them are extraordinarily lazy by just slimming down men into big busty women with no body fat or muscles, and so on the opposite way with turning women into big buff ugly alpha chad dudes. But whatever thats not the point— I think Genderbends, for specifically Mouthwashing, are fine.

While the pregnancy does play a very huge part in the game, it can be done expertly the other way around or not at all, if thats what you're aiming for, as the actual assault and it happening is just as important. Its just one of those kind of things you need to surgically manoeuvre around to make it not seem like you're dismissive towards rape against men or that women can be rapists without it coming off as extremely misogynistic, which is where alot of people that do write this stuff tend to fall towards, even by accident.

I absolutely do think, beyond Anya, that if the situation was genderswapped, I do think it would go pretty much the same. Some very small things would be changed, and I'm not entirely sure exactly what since the themes of Toxic Masculinity, Abuse of power, etc. All rely entirely on Pony Express' treatment of their workers, it boils back to capitalism and how it directly impacts people like Jimmy and directly enables their behaviour. The actual mince meat of the story wouldn't change all that much because PE is an absolute in both circumstances, and the things that would change are miniscule compared to the overarching theme of Capitalism Is Bad and that it Enables Bad People. As much as I love a good analysis, its a beautiful thing to be able to enjoy stuff on the surface level like fun art and silly AU's. or shipping, maybe even good endings! Its what keeps us sane.

Elemental transition headcanons

In my mind Primo was the one to create most of the magic rituals at the Ministry, even before his time as Papa, but that's a topic for another day.

Anyway, he is the one responsible for the transition ritual. It's really complicated, time consuming and resource draining so the Clergy usually just opts to summon a new ghoul, but there are special cases like Delta and Dewdrop. They were deemed worthy of the hassle and they were water ghouls. Water ghouls are by far the most susceptible to the elemental change, their element easily 'tainted' by others, so the costs of the ritual aren't as high. For the Clergy that is. On the other hand, quintessence ghouls are the most resistant, nothing really 'sticking' to their ethereal essence.

The ritual doesn't work on multi ghouls because their cores work differently than mono elemental ghouls, their cores would just eat up the element trying to transition them like fuel. The ritual doesn't change the structure of the ghoul's elemental core. It takes their element, tries to nullify it and replace it. Biologically speaking they stay their birth element even as the new one changes their body for its needs. The body may try to reject it, resulting in the ghoul becoming unstable, both physically and mentally. After the transition they use their new element more like multi ghouls than the mono ones as they still have to use the core structure of their old element. That's why Dewdrop has better time adjusting than Delta did, because Swiss was there to help him out at least a little.

Water ghouls

Water > fire is the most traumatic transition on the body as the fire basically evaporates the water from the ghoul's core, but it's also the most stable after the healing is done. Why? Because usually there is no water left in the core after it evaporates so the elements don't fight each other. Again why Dew is more stable than Delta was, even though the process was much more agonizing.

Water > earth is smooth both in the process and the aftermath. Earth just absorbs the water into itself and although some hiccups might happen it's rather harmonious.

Water > quintessence is like oil and water. It doesn't exactly mix, but at least it sticks together. As such the transition is relatively easy, but later on one may become unstable due to water treating the quintessence as sickness. Unfortunately that's what happened to Delta, even with his predisposition for quintessence as a deep sea water ghoul (topic for another day too).

Water > air is fickle because realistically air can't change much besides the water's shape. It's a constant fight and you never know when a disaster might strike, but at least the ritual itself is not that invasive and if the ghoul keeps using their new powers it tends to allow their new powers to hold the lead.

Earth ghouls

Earth > fire is another traumatic transition, although slightly less than water > fire, because earth acknowledges ashes as something that can give new life. It might fight the fire on that front sometimes, but it's rare.

Earth > water is again, pretty easy on the body as those two elements mix well, but it can have earth act up as it muddies the water. It results in mood swings rather than full on unstableness though.

Earth > quintessence can be a pretty painful transition as quintessence twists and molds earth into unnatural states and that pain can come and go through the rest of the ghoul's life, it's easy on the mind though

Earth > air is a recipe for disaster as air is helpless against earth. The body almost always rejects the new element, leading to a quick decay in health.

Fire ghouls

Fire > water works in the same vein as water > fire just with the water dousing the fire instead.

Fire > earth is another harsh transition, because fire would probably be choked out, like extinguishing a firepit with dirt. The fire would probably try to come back with its last embers, causing problems from time to time.

Fire > quintessence is a really favorable one, quintessence gets to play making a rainbow of the fire and it eats whatever is given to it up

Fire > air is another disaster one. Air only being able to fan the flames even more, making the ghoul aggressive and explosive as fire is not what the body is accustomed to anymore.

Air ghouls

Air > water is a coin flip. It will either take or not. The only saving grace of the water is that it can take the oxygen for air.

Air > earth often makes ghouls feel trapped in their own body as all earth does is block the air, leading to the ghoul's mind, not body, rejecting the transition.

Air > quintessence mix well together, creating something akin to heavy mist. The flowly nature of the air and quintessence's ethereality make them work together rather than against each other.

Air > fire is one of the easiest ones on both body and mind. As air naturally bolsters the strength of the fire, making it practically a perfect transition.

Quintessence ghouls

Quintessence > water & quintessence > earth & quintessence > fire are pretty much all in the same boat of quintessence can influence them, but they can't influence it so these transitions are bound to fail and leave the ghoul an empty shell. There is like 2% chance it will work, maybe 4% if they have the element of the transition in their close family.

Quintessence > air is feasible. Air can disperse the quintessence, making it easier to manage. Overall a pretty stable combination, especially if the ghoul is using their new powers frequently like with water > air. May make ghouls loopy sometimes though, if the quintessence manages to condense enough.

What if your control over your ability depends on how much you accept it as a part of you? The idea that every single ability has a consciousness, one that, no matter what, is made to protect or assist its user in some way. If you don't accept and come to terms with having a second 'you' inside you, then your ability will not work with you, simply because you are not willing to work with it when all it's trying to do is help you.

Because of this, it won't always do what you want it too at first, it won't always work, and it'll do what it thinks is best, not caring about what the user will think about it. You have to understand it was there to help you, learn that your ability is a part of you, even the parts that hurt others, the parts that hurt you, because in the end, all its doing is to fulfill the most human wish.

Survive. Live.

It's not always liking your ability, it's knowing that the ability is trying to protect you, to let you live and survive in grow no matter the cost. The pain it's caused will always be there, sometimes it will come back as a memory, and that pain comes flooding back. It's trying, and so are you. Yes, it will hurt sometimes, sometimes you'll wish you never had it, that you died instead of obtaining it, because that would prevent the pain it's caused. It's not learning to love your ability, it's learning that it embodies the part of you that wanted to survive. It's not entirely you, but a part of you. The more you know that, the easier it is to deal with and use to your advantage.

Cordelia is a woman that upholds a very regal and refined air, seen by many others at Utopia as either an older sister or mother type. She's fiercely protective of the other employees, to the point where yes, she would gladly kill for them. I think aran and kita's first time is super soft and intimate, but I also think aran is sooooo anxious he ends up. not being able to get hard because he's overthinking everything.

they still call it their first time despite not actually going all the way. aran wanted it to be perfect. he lit some candles, washed his sheets, kicked his parents out of the house.

but when he and kita were making out, he was still worried about everything being just right. aran was jumpy and skittish. in the end it made kita a little nervous as well.

until kita pushed aran away and demanded he explain what was going on. aran rambled about his insecurities and anxieties until kita shut him up with a kiss.

they agreed to try again another night, but use this night to just be comfortable with each other.

and, yeah, it was a little awkward to strip down naked with each other and just lay in bed at first. they sat away from each other, the tv quietly playing a movie.

until they slowly scooted closer, they cuddled, and eventually started kissing again. this time slower, more relaxed. they let their hands roam, just feeling each other and being in each other's space and area.

and while they were both hard at the end of the night, they decided to stay true to their decision to wait another night. but it was a good step in the right direction.

so while most people would consider the night a failure, aran and kita considered it one of the biggest steps in their relationship.

I've spent hours upon hours upon hours over the years waiting for the burning to stop. Just sitting still and drinking water and praying "please let this be over in less than an hour". Waiting and waiting while people get impatient, because they want to keep walking around, keep going about life, but it hurts to move and I'm feverish and it's humiliating.
