immensely late, but here's the cover art for @pseudophan's incredible phook book!

it was the most fun i'd ever had lol.

i’m a very maximalist artist, which cannot be seen by the single post i have on here, but i am i promise, so their kitchen didn’t really appeal to me. we wanted to have some of the recipes inside of the cookbook be on the cover, which provided some clutter, and then i just filled the rest with details and references!

most obvious bit - the bedsheets, ranch, and magnets!

in the slime and sadness baking video, there was only one towel, but i added a second because good things always come in pairs. phil’s is a bit messy. fun fact! the jug of milk next to the oven was supposed to say “straight from the teet”, but the logo i designed looked incredibly suspicious and it didn’t really make sense so it’s just a little cow now.

underneath, the “don’t cry [craft]” magnets. originally, they have polaroids or something there, and i had them each spell out “don’t cry”, but it looked really ugly. i thought the magnets were fun! i considered adding a little bit of bunting saying “craft” underneath but it looked weird.

ranch. i’ve never had ranch and it looks like it has a weird texture. ranch.

the butter says “butter slam”, and has been decimated by someone who can’t use a knife. i showed that to my brother, who hasn’t watched in like ten years, and he appreciated it.

my favoutite bit, their drinks! from one of my favourite videos, the phantasy mocktails. they were so fun to draw, i love drawing glass, i love drawing liquid, and i love drawing sparkles. very few notes but was very fun :]

phil is rolling the dough with a piece of cardboard. very obscure reference to the slime and sadness video, where i think they did that. i kinda regret doing that it looks really odd. also! phil put vinegar into the dough, not vanilla! i don’t know how to cook, but when i did that it tasted really disgusting so i assume it’s bad.

dan is ON FIRE! and the pasta is ON FIRE. looks like he forgot about the pasta water again! it really upset me that they weren’t on the correct sides, and this was the reason. he needed to be on fire and the hob was there. you gotta do what you gotta do. (also, dan’s nails were supposed to be tit blue, but when i did the colour correcting, they just looked navy)

the pheal is watching! and phey have a wooden spoon! i love drawing stuffed toys, so phey were my favourite part.

all of the decorations! there’s a dil howlter, and dan and phil, with chef hats! i would look up what year but i don’t want to do that right now. and flame susan! she’s inspired by the jelly cat dragons you can get, which is why she’s a bit l i m p.

finally, the reigning legend: the golden pig. look at that majesty. look at that tail. i can hear them squealing. the pig has a chef hat because.

this was incredibly fun! again thank you to @pseudophan for the opportunity to be involved in this, the phookbook is incredible and i am immensely proud. this has given me the confidence to post art again, so look out for that (unfortunately)!
