both zero-sum and the litany of love and loss were concepts that possessed me and would not not get out of my head until i wrote them but i have wastly different feelings about both of these stories despite loving them equally

#I love both of these works but I hated writing litany of love and loss. does that make sense #both of these pieces have the same amount of love and dedication #arguable skill-wise and imagery-wise a litany of love and loss is better #like running for fun vs running away from a zombie horde or something #technically you are doing the same thing. you’re probably even running faster with the zombie horde #but the context of that activity is endlessly different #…there’s been a weird few days we’re people have been commenting on zero sum #which makes me really really happy #but also nostalgic for it. I loved the story and writing it and interacting with people while writing it #everything that came after it has been a much different much less satisfying experience #in other news the path to paradise is both more fun and more interesting than both of the above stories #but I fear the fact that so few people are reading it takes away some of that external validation fun #now it’s all internal validation. lol. and the 3 really nice people who read and comment #we are honestly always our own worst enemies #I don’t compare my writing against other peoples (<- is lying)#but competing against myself is always a problem #just that weird feeling like despite the fact that you’ve grown and hopefully improved as a writer #there are some stories and concepts people are going to feel captured by and some that aren’t #tbh I know most fic readers don’t come into it being like ‘what is the most well written or interesting piece?’#I tout zero sum game but a large proportion of people reading it do it only because it’s exclusively dkbk #which I have my own feelings about. mostly negative.#anyway…. I’m so thankful for people #for still reading or caring about anything I’m writing…#…..eh #anyway does anyone else feel like this #or am I just thinking too much about everything all the time #haha #anyway I’m being sentimental because once again I am #night shift is…. yeah

#This drawing is kind of personal to me #I recently graduated (CUM LAUDE WOOOO!!!!) and its like. not to get depressing #but when i was younger i was never sure whether i would make it to this point #When i was going through what i consider to still be like. the worst time of my entire life #This fictional character was there for me and she was something for me to latch onto and cope with #eGem helped me a lot with being able to process my emotions at the time but also helped me to reflect on myself #which i think is a big reason as to why I'm really happy with where i am with myself right now #I'm going off to uni next school year to study astronomy!!! which!!!#Im also doing because of eGem!!! hey, friendly reminder, spider's iconic bow shot:

was his almost instantaneous reaction to one of the recom's putting their hands on Tuk. He then has to be convinced by both his siblings to put the bow down and keeps it trained on the recom holding Tuk.

when Quaritch approaches Spider, Tuk hisses at him (hard to see in photo cause they were little baby hisses)

when Jake tells spider to get "them" out of there, spider immediatly calls for Tuk (and grabs Kiri)

now for some cuter snippets

and when Tuk goes to egg on and tease Lo'ak, she hides behind her big brother, and Spider looks amused in the way a big brother is equally amused and tired of their little sisters antics (he's probably defended her, whether she was the one who needed defending or not, many times, especially when it comes to Lo'ak)

and she runs for both Kiri and Spider when the war party returns, making it clear she hangs out with them quite often.

my conclusion? she and Spider are besties, no one puts their hands on his baby sister, I rest my case.

I have this one "OC" that does not yet have a name that I've drawn several times for a couple years. I was thinking that if I tried making them in FFXIV that I'd use elezen as a base... but then I remembered what other race have their near exact hairstyle... and now I'm like damn... I played myself...

I've wanted phalloplasty scars in the sims4 for eons now as a few of my OCs (pictured above) have had bottom surgery, but no one had made any yet, so I decided to make my own.

Time and Time Again comes back tonight!

Thank you all for being so patient with me, I know it was a long hiatus.

My health was struggling, my arm was (is) hurting, and I decided it wasn't worth it. I'd rather be slow!

So thank you for giving me that grace, and I hope you'll be there with me for the rest of the series.

#like straight up. it's not worth it. idc how many people get mad at me #i would rather work fuckin. anything else than maintain this impossible schedule and keep hurting myself #if thats what it takes to do comics full time. then i can't do comics full time. simple as that!#i hope that for my next work i can have a healthier schedule and still make this work as my job #but if not. I'm never going back #i can't do it. 3 more years at this pace will take my ability to draw #anyways. its really good!!!#like genuinely i can feel a marked improvement in my skills #which is WILD!!! I thought ''be considered X where I live'' would make the most sense since 'tallness' or etc. is sort of #subjective to the people around you or your specific culture/area/etc. And if I just said ''I'm tall'' or ''I'm short'' then #the response might be 'well how do I define whether I'm tall or not?'' or etc. But then most people could probably look #at the people around them in daily life they interact with and compare based on that to get a more literal idea or something #..ANYWAY.. lol.. as usual just thought of some random thing and was like.. hrmm... i wonder what the most common #feeling about that would be.#personally I'm not even short but I just want to be really really tall... like... 7 feet tall or something. In a fantasy world type of way #of course. so like a super tall elf creature. More realistically I suppose you get health problems past a certain point #so maybe I'd be happy with 6'2“ or so.#Absolutely no hate towards people with this preference but I've always had trouble understanding the idea of wanting to be shorter #so you're Small And Cute or this and that. or whatever the base reason is. I like how I gave Frida two flags when she only needed one, meanwhile David has to squish both flags together. To be fair, it’s just like Frida to be incredibly organised and bring multiple back up flags, and for David to panic and not do that.
