i know for years ppl have been saying piko's underrated (and so are a lot of synths but that's a whole other post for complaining i can make) but i feel like he rlly is overlooked for what he's capable of doing

his voice provider, Piko, is famously known for being able to sound like a man and a woman when he's singing. they managed to fit his range into a little robot guy meant for singing (that's what they tried to do with philo's range into fuiro but instead, they made her sound very unstable /lh /gen) that's crazy impressive, and for a male voicebank

with the exclusion of len and ryuto because their VPs are female, piko has the craziest range for a male synth because all of the other males tend to sound lower, deeper, a very "typical" voice for a guy (and this is also excluding vy2 falsetto because i think that one is just meant for hitting high notes? i could be forgetting tbh)

ppl who specifically find piko "annoying" with his high range drive me insane because the whole point is that he's supposed to have the most wildest vocal range as a male, and the fact that no one cared abt him back then (and maybe still now) is horribly disappointing

It doesn't have any specific tuning or mixing quirks at all, actually it's pretty normal//regular all things considered...

...except for the upload date being one week before Piko's voicebank actually released

IIRC his trial was released 1 week before his voicebank did, meaning this person mixed this and uploaded it within the first 24 hours of Piko's trial being released-- assuming the vsq they used was pre-tuned and they made little to no edits to it.

Idk why that intrigues me so much that that happened but it is kind of weird seeing a Piko cover that was uploaded before his voicebank was released. For some reason.

It is a pretty good cover tho.

being fiction kin is weird. You have certain opinions about other characters that you don’t understand. I like this person as a character but there’s this underlying suspicion and standoffishness that I can’t shake. Genuinely, I never understood why i dislike certain characters until I realized it probably had something to do with kin memories. It’s honestly really stressful and confusing sometimes. Getting so emotional about things that don’t make sense to is really disorienting.

So. Yeah just thought about that. It might just be me.

some sketches of some loids in a fantasy au or smth

actually drew this about a month ago and was hoping to redo mikus fit a lil and maybe expand on them a lil backstory wise before posting.. however.. laptop is kinda dead (unless i can miraculously fix it... big chance of me loosing all my files though if i can ><.) so i dont have this file to edit nor the character drafts i wrote for them 😭

Ultimately what i can remember (and from what ive already posted). Roughly a kinda haphazardly thrown together adventure group. Len brought them together. Rin tagged along out of concern for her brother. (But really she just likes action ><)

And Miku and Pikos um... Goals .. alligned with what Len had set out to do (Len wants to seal the funny little dragon i drew Piko with back then, Miku and Piko want to summon it). So they also joined. (Len does not know their true motivation)

its kinda like, one normal Guy, three insane people (affectionate). (maybe rins not insane perse but she does enable miku n piko enough to deem so)

Miku is a cleric elf but has backgrounds/talent in dark magic.

Piko is a dark mage but specifies in summoning and general blood magic.

len warrior. idfk. Axe????

Imagine being the fastest thing alive, and being alone in a cave for so long, but you finally found a family.

Imagine being the fastest thing alive, and you and your said family found themselves glued to the floor, and you couldn't move your feet, your legs. You just couldn't move at all. Except your hand. Barely.

Imagine being the fastest thing alive, and you see chunks of concrete being pulled from above, preparing to smash against the floor, where your family is, and you can't move.

Imagine being the fastest thing alive, and you can't move your legs and all you can do is reach out your hand to your family, who seemed so close yet so far away, and is about to get crushed by concrete.

Sonic, of course, saved his family from the concrete boulder, thankfully, but I often think about the moment before he saved him.

Despite being stuck onto the floor, it didn't stop Sonic from curling into a ball, managed to dash off from the high gravity floor with a burst of speed, and smashed the boulder to bits to save his family. He was not ready to witness another family member get injured, or worse.

He was not ready to lose another family again. He won't. He's not going to let it happen. He lost Longclaw, he's not gonna lose anyone else. And because of his will to make sure it won't happen, he managed to get unstuck and save them.

Everything about the small little moment with Sonic drives me insane watching the movie a second time. And you wanna know why?

Because someone close to him got hurt anyways.

AND DR2 IS SO COOL!!! I watched a play through so I already know the story without playing through the game but I will definitely complete a play through one day cuz I wanna play all the games

I played DR1 after watching the anime and the game is SO MUCH BETTER. And that's also how I found Tumblr, through Danganronpa (Ishimondo specifically lol)

I swear, before Flower, there was some kind of Vocaloid to gender queer awaking pipeline and I'm pretty sure it a lot of it has to do with Len because-

Len and Rin being stated that they are neither siblings, nor lovers, but as "two bodies with one soul". Hmmm.

Being the target for a lot of feminizination (arguably, some of which was sus behavior on the fandom's part) and similar gnc stuff.

If memory serves me correctly, a lot of popular covers of Len songs were mainly being sung by female singers with deep voices. (I swear if young girl fans were not crushing over Len, they were definitely crushing over the women covering his songs).

It shames me that I do not remember their names although I'm pretty sure several became big after that because you can't tell me those singers were not iconic enough to gain a larger following.
