I started work on the video i'll be using to distribute the Piko Live Party models, so here's the worlds shortest preview of part of that. As treat. (proving I do work sometimes.)

On an unrelated note, I rewatched part of PLP2 again and got lowkey emotional. I'm proud of the work I did, but god I can't even begin to express how much stress I was under at the time. This dumbass(me) was fuckin miserable.

It really put future big projects like this under a new perspective for me. Like, the other day, someone asked "Is it okay for me to do a Kaito concert inspired by Piko Live Party" and while I gave my full blessing it did make me go "Oh yeah, I wanted to do that at one point." But now, the idea of trying to organize that and have so many people's expectations on my shoulders again is just too much.. Doing all the organizing, planning, setlist work, communications between artists, designing, 3D modeling, editing, animating where needed... It's a lot for one person. There's also a sort of weight when someone has given you permission to use their work, or made something for you. Like you're being entrusted with their efforts, you have to deliver them in a way that does justice to their art.

And yet, despite complaining about all of this and knowing the toll it puts on me. I do kind of crave doing it again.

Um. Anyway. I'm just feeling a bit melancholic i guess. Thank you again to everyone who supported piko live party because I really sucked out some of my soul for that.

I hope this video turns out cool.

It doesn't have any specific tuning or mixing quirks at all, actually it's pretty normal//regular all things considered...

...except for the upload date being one week before Piko's voicebank actually released

IIRC his trial was released 1 week before his voicebank did, meaning this person mixed this and uploaded it within the first 24 hours of Piko's trial being released-- assuming the vsq they used was pre-tuned and they made little to no edits to it.

Idk why that intrigues me so much that that happened but it is kind of weird seeing a Piko cover that was uploaded before his voicebank was released. For some reason.

It is a pretty good cover tho.

being fiction kin is weird. You have certain opinions about other characters that you don’t understand. I like this person as a character but there’s this underlying suspicion and standoffishness that I can’t shake. Genuinely, I never understood why i dislike certain characters until I realized it probably had something to do with kin memories. It’s honestly really stressful and confusing sometimes. Getting so emotional about things that don’t make sense to is really disorienting.

So. Yeah just thought about that. It might just be me.

actually drew this about a month ago and was hoping to redo mikus fit a lil and maybe expand on them a lil backstory wise before posting.. however.. laptop is kinda dead (unless i can miraculously fix it... big chance of me loosing all my files though if i can ><.) so i dont have this file to edit nor the character drafts i wrote for them 😭

Ultimately what i can remember (and from what ive already posted). Roughly a kinda haphazardly thrown together adventure group. Len brought them together. Rin tagged along out of concern for her brother. (But really she just likes action ><)

And Miku and Pikos um... Goals .. alligned with what Len had set out to do (Len wants to seal the funny little dragon i drew Piko with back then, Miku and Piko want to summon it). So they also joined. (Len does not know their true motivation)

its kinda like, one normal Guy, three insane people (affectionate). (maybe rins not insane perse but she does enable miku n piko enough to deem so)

Miku is a cleric elf but has backgrounds/talent in dark magic.

Piko is a dark mage but specifies in summoning and general blood magic.

len warrior. idfk. Axe????

Rin archer, suuuuuuper strong !! shes so cool !! (I love archers) Not twins with len exactly here but she is his half sister ^^

I swear, before Flower, there was some kind of Vocaloid to gender queer awaking pipeline and I'm pretty sure it a lot of it has to do with Len because-

Len and Rin being stated that they are neither siblings, nor lovers, but as "two bodies with one soul". Hmmm.

Being the target for a lot of feminizination (arguably, some of which was sus behavior on the fandom's part) and similar gnc stuff.

If memory serves me correctly, a lot of popular covers of Len songs were mainly being sung by female singers with deep voices. (I swear if young girl fans were not crushing over Len, they were definitely crushing over the women covering his songs).

It shames me that I do not remember their names although I'm pretty sure several became big after that because you can't tell me those singers were not iconic enough to gain a larger following.

The Lady Oscar and Takarazuka Revue vibes from Daughter/Servant of Evil. Oh... see it now...

And for Rin's sake, because she doesn't seem get as much credit as Len does with A LOT of these things, I'm just going to mention Alluring Secret ~Black Vow~ because YEAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

On one hand I feel like Piko is like,, short but on the other hand I also feel like he's way taller than Fukase is (hc 4'9-4'10) which would require Piko to be around 5'4 at the least which feels a little too close to being considered tall to feel short enough to be considered short?????

OMG THAT'S NOT WEIRD AT ALL FELLOW HAIKYUU FAN

I love Haikyuu it's my favourite show I watched it 12 times already. Sub, dub, Spanish dub. Read the manga, even started Haikyuu buu recently. Was on the movie premiere in my country, even was watching To the top season 2 when it was airing. Bought numerous merch and made million aus.

Top 3? Hinata, Kenma, Akaashi! Hinata is my n1 fictional crush, Kenma is just so cute and I love his character growth and Akaashi is just like my gf so that's why I love him

Favourite middle blocker? I don't count Hinata since he later becomes a receiver, and to any questions about favourite character it's just him but that's boring. I have to say Kuroo and 2nd is Tsukki. I love their friendship and strategical thinking. And Kuroo is always on my mind with his beautiful animated "ONE TOUCH" from the movie with that sly smirk AHHH

Fav arc definitely training arc before nationals (aka To the top first season, aka Hinata breaks law). I personally prefer the training arcs because of all the cute social interactions the characters have. I love seeing them act all relaxed. And this arc in particular has my fav character growth moments for my husband Shoyo. I literally cried when he later received that ball in his match with Inarizaki in season 2 because of his training arc!!!! I cry almost every time I see it.

But also from the matches it's gotta be Nekoma Vs Karasuno. Not only did I go to the movie premiere in cinema with my gf and we cried our eyes out. But it's also what the show was really about. I know ending the highschool arc after that, I do, I just believe that Nekoma Vs Karasuno is peak as a match itself. The set up was amazing and the pay off is spectacular. Though from the narrative stand point I understand keeping the story going.
