Ok so here's my thoughts.

Arguments for why he would be sheikah:

He's the gravekeeper, has a strong connection to the dead, lives and thrives among the graves, does keep to himself. Becomes a ghost himself. Lives in Kakariko, and then haunts Kakariko.

This is more questionable, but I feel like "Dampé" and "Impa" have similar phonetic sounds and underpinning logic, the inflexion is in the exact same place, and I think he's also the only OoT Zelda character with an accent in its name in the English translation? Impa doesn't, but the "é" does seem to fall sliightly outside of hylian naming conventions, unless I'm forgetting someone and if that's the case I look stupid now.

There's literally a sheikah symbol in his house I think? In his diary?

Arguments for why he wouldn't be sheikah (so hylian):

Impa being among the last sheikahs and sheikahs being gone (and potentially dead) is a huge part of her characterization, and it would be weird for people not to mention Dampé is there also.

He doesn't seem to have red eyes. To me that's kind of the biggest tell.

He seems to be pretty much kept apart, and if Impa is technically the head of the village, I feel like there should be bigger connexions between them? (unless. Look I have bigger headcanons about Kakariko's history but these are my mad ramblings and nothing canon so let's ignore that)

He doesn't seem to have any involvement with the more spiritual tasks that Impa seem to be responsible for, aka sealing angry spectres or touching anything related to the Shadow Temple, and seems to be mostly focusing on more mundane tasks (and digging holes into the graveyard for money, which seem... pretty disrepectful if we're being quite honest here? So unless he's the kind of guy who turns his people's own resting/sacred grounds into tourist traps, which, not discounting tbh, it seems to me he lacks some of the depth of the relationship Impa has with the dead)

Which leads me to my personal headcanon that he has sheikah ancestry, and might have been raised here, but might be half-hylian, and so his relationship to gravekeeping is not as strict and ceremonial as Impa's. But it would still explain his name, his job, and maybe his distance with the rest of the village (beyond casual ableism too).

Yeah honestly I didn't mind the ratfish even though I disagreed with 90% of his takes, I just wish we could have had some payoff of seeing the cast react to him and I kinda don't get why they didn't do that. It felt like a weird choice

so many bsd characters seem to have a lot of their characterisation and experiences centering around their ability, but sigma seems mostly apathetic to his own ability - he doesnt list it as his strength in that one character profile that came out recently , he just says hes a hard worker and mostly useless at everything else . and hes always describing himself as pretty ordinary. which really is the exact opposite of how pretty much everyone else sees him as just the thing that comes along with his ability

i hate when utena fans are like "this is the one true and correct reading of this character's motivations for doing this" because it's never that simple. it's never just one thing. there's always a lot of different (often conflicting) thoughts and feelings that go into any decision anybody in this show makes. like someone will say that anthy stabbed utena because akio wanted her to. or that it was because she was afraid. and both of those statements are true, there are just so many more layers to it, and you shouldn't stop your analysis at one of them and pretend that's all there is to it. another thing i've seen is someone (probably me let's be honest) saying "utena is nervous around akio because she is on a subconcious level aware of the grooming and abuse he's putting her through" and someone else responding with "nope. it's because she feels guilty about betraying anthy" not realizing that those things can absolutely be true at the same time, and only believing one thing at a time is severely limiting your perspective on the character. some people want to make things so much simpler (and therefore less interesting) than they actually are, and in a show like this i just don't get it. these characters are complicated, you're not going to be able to sum up everything they're feeling in a single sentence. and if you think you can you are definitely missing something.

Close up on Drac’s upper half cause the drawing was way too big for one photo of it. Something that I noticed while staring at his sprite for a while is that he’s probably not wearing a hood, but chainmail armor with a helmet on top :O!

Simon is literally so fun to just put in poses. He is almost always my model for drawing poses because his big thighs kinda force you to make his pose even more exaggerated to get the same amount of open space and ratio of things— yeah idk it’s fun. He’s also allowed to have some sass sometimes I think. Fun fact! I didn’t use a reference for these :3. I’m so proud! Angles like this are usually hard!!! Oh and rare family heirloom sword moment. I’m taking this as a nod to the recent Haunted Castle remake now, which was so out of no where like (*o* ). I’ll take it!!! Simon game!!! A win!!! Which is why I also tried drawing him with other expressions!!!!!! In this one he is surprised and awkwardly responding to being told something so negative it’s almost comedic 💀💀💀. I was imagining the one town in Simon’s Quest with some bangers like “after Castlevania I told you never to return” and “you’ve upset the people now get out of town” X,,,,,D. He’s a little taken aback and was gonna try to defend himself, but he just leaves anxiously.

Please imagine that in this one he is saying that one meme that goes “it is hot as hell in this fucking ass hot ass room I’m in… IS THAT THE GRIM REAPER⁉️⁉️⁉️”.

Yay! Putting him on furniture for background practice!!! He is sitting on a church pew, having a couple micro sleeps cause he’s sleep deprived. He may fall off cause that armor is a little too heavy when sitting down I’d imagine.
