Wooooooooooooo! Now THIS was a labor of love lol. So basically these family arrangements are based on my “Everyone Lives” Nurse Karnak AU.

1. Noel and his mom (she works very hard as a CNA) just happy to still have each other

2. After the accident Mischa’s adoptive parents won’t take him back. When he’s released from the hospital he ends up couch surfing for a while until he’s able to find his own place. Although the other kids’ families are happy to have him stay with them, he fears overstaying his welcome and always eventually leaves, very early in the morning. Still misses his mother terribly every day

3. Ok so this one is fun, canon be damned, Ricky has two moms and an older sister because honestly he deserves that kinda love. All 14 of their cats are rescues, some of them having disabilities and some being senior cats or sick kittens and he named them all (I didn’t really have the time to draw all 14 but there’s a bunch pictured here)

4. Ocean and her parents never got along and she decides to split when things come to a head and she can’t take it anymore. The Blackwood family takes her in and for the first time she feels a sense of normalcy in her home life. Connie has a whole new kind of love and appreciation for her family. Both find renewed happiness. Connie’s baby brother is also an excellent source of serotonin

5. Karnak adopts the Lambs when Penny’s situation threatens to separate her and Ezra. Virgil is along for the ride and sort of takes up the role of “fun uncle,” will often bend the rules and say “just don’t tell Karnak” lmao

Do I like to think and I believe that Legoland Penny and RTC Penny/Jane Doe are the same person, and Legoland and RTC happens in the same universe and timeline? Yes

Do I understand how Penny became the most forgettable girl in town, when she was constantly bullied and humiliated, is basically a criminal and had a movie about her?

Do you think Jane Doe, when they put the cape on her for the new birthday song felt a pang of familairty? Do you think she felt wrong with the cape because she wasn't the one who wore the cape... she doesn't know who does, though. Do you think Penny remembered it after?

Do you think the doll Jane has was Ezras? Maybe Penny had it in her bag, or was carrying it for him, or maybe it was a gift. Maybe he was there, or he left it on her grave, and it let her have a chance in the game because she has a head now? Do you think that's why she can be so many different dolls? Ezra has so many.

Do you think Ezra tried to tell them who she was? Do you think he begged everyone to listen, to hear his sisters name? That she was the girl who Attacked JK-47, she was on the news- There's a movie about her, why won't they listen, why is her grave unmarked, he knows who she is but they just Won't Listen to him.

@june-doe-2024 day 8: Uranium City

Hoooooo boy, this prompt has been by far the hardest one for me to come up with an idea for so far, but dang nab it this is June Doe and I’m going all out or my URL’s not icepoptroll gosh darn it!!!

But seeing as there’s a full month of prompts to do and my goal is to do them all, I have to be kind of efficient with these, so I wasn’t gonna go for a ton of complex town-building that would encompass the whole of Uranium. So instead when the phrase ‘Ghost town’ came to mind I went for zeroing in on a ghost choir AU angle.

Here the people of Uranium do believe that the kids from the choir are ghosts that haunt the town, and they’d be correct; the kids show signs wherever they can that they’re still here. Penny just wants to take Ezra and leave town so they can move on with their lives, away from a lot of people and places that come with painful memories. . . Ezra would go anywhere with Penny, even the end of the earth, but they have no money. They’re already on thin ice, so she doesn’t want Ezra having to sell drugs anymore. Instead, remembering Constance’s story, she looks for a job at the Blackwood Cafe, where Connie’s parents are happy to hire a friend of their late daughter. She works there, all the while still haunted by her former choir mates, and saves up enough to go rent a farmhouse with Ezra somewhere far away. Soon after she turns 18 she petitions for guardianship over Ezra, and buys two one-way bus tickets out of town.

When it’s time to go, and the ghosts of the rest of the choir are still with her, Penny learns something that the ghosts knew all along: it isn’t Uranium City that’s haunted, but Penny herself.
