I'm visiting my parents rn and at some point in the past year, my baby brother made a wonderful transformation from a puppy into a full grown, reasonably polite adult dog.

This means that rather than breaking into my bedroom several times in the middle of the night and waking me up by licking the inside of my ear, he'll simply break into my room several times in the middle of the night and very gently deposit a toy on top of me. When I fail to immediately wake up and/or acknowledge him, he'll hop up and cuddle for a while until wandering off to find a new toy and try again. This has made waking up in the morning a delight, as I get to find out how many dog toys are scattered across my bed, and sometimes he's still hanging out and is very warm and fluffy.
