“Take one more step and I shoot.” The threat echoed against the walls of the empty warehouse and you scrunched your eyes shut tightly, taking a breath and trying to reach the dagger you had on hand without anyone noticing. It was hard to do anything discreetly when you were being held so tightly against your target’s body, a gun barrel pressed up to your temple. You dared to open your eyes to catch another glance at what Yongha was doing.
It was a bit hard to see in the dark, but you could just make out a stealthy shadow travelling along the second floor of the warehouse; overseeing everything happening below from the railing. You were confident that even if you couldn’t get out of this yourself, Yongha wouldn’t let any other man even lay a finger on you. He was sort of possessive when he came to that. You were sure your husband was already fuming at just seeing you trapped in the arms of a man you both should have been able to have taken out by now.
You would have had the situation completely under control if your target hadn’t prepared backups. Taking down 1 man twice your size was one thing, but 3 all at once was a little more of a task for you. You were strong for a woman, sure, but men towering well above 6 feet still had an overwhelming physical advantage. That was why you didn’t even try to struggle in the hold of your captor. Staying calm and grabbing hold of your dagger was the best chance you had.
“If you have any sense of self-preservation left in you, you’ll let her go now before I blast your brains out.”
The response came twice as harsh as the original threat— right on brand for Yongha. You held back a scoff. Of course your husband would jump straight to that. Though, that was part of the reason you loved him, you supposed.
The next moments flashed by in the blink of an eye. You felt that arm around you loosen just slightly, most likely from a shiver running up the man’s spine at your husband’s chilling warning. This gave you just enough room to grab the dagger strapped to your leg and ram it into the man’s side. A gunshot fire was heard half a second later; Yongha’s excellent aim ensured the bullet seared right through the man’s skull.
You let out a relieved sigh. Even though your life might not have been in danger (you could always tell when your target would be too scared to actually pull a trigger), it was still nice to not have the scruffy arms of a man with a long history of illegal activity holding you in place. The only arms belonging to a man that you would willingly let yourself be held by were Yongha’s; and for the record, he smelled pleasantly of musk and freshly washed dress suits.
“Wanna go catch dinner? All that drama stirred up an appetite.” You heard your husband’s playful tone sound through the room as he jumped down from the banister. You smiled as you picked up your gun again and placed it back in its holster. You always found Yongha’s voice shifts from when he was threatening someone to when he was talking to you to be entertaining.
“Will you buy me a filet mignon? I’m in the mood for something fancy.” You replied back in the same playful tone he had offered.
“If you dress up nice.” He shrugged and flashed you a flirty grin.
“Deal.”
An hour later you were dressed in a velvet black evening dress, sipping expensive tasting wine across your husband. For missions he always wore his hair tied up, but for dinner dates, he let the long dark strands down, styled only slightly. You loved how perfectly his hair framed his face, contrasting nicely with the white silk suit he had adorned instead of his usual work attire.
He was trying his best to keep a straight face, but whenever your eyes met his, he couldn’t help how his lips quivered and eventually formed a cute smile. Given how soft he was with you and his friends, you wondered how it was even possible he was good at his job— he was acting like a smitten boy in love, and not as if a man had just died at his hands an hour ago (very deservingly).
“Are you drunk already? Your face is flushed.” You took the first opportunity you could to tease him. Seeing him get all shy and smitten never got old.
“No! The food hasn’t even gotten here, we barely started drinking.” He hushed you, his eyes darting around to the other tables of couples or groups of friends all dressed to the nines. And then with a hesitant whisper, he asked, “Are you sure we really fit in here?”
You giggled. In terms of looks alone, no one would question you or Yongha. You had both dressed appropriately for the 5-star restaurant, and either one of you had a stare that could kill. Yongha seemed to always be a little too precautionary when out in public.
“What? You want to leave before we get our steak?” You raised your eyebrow at him as you sipped more of the dark red wine. Your husband shook his head slightly, seeming to relax a little, but still be on edge. You could barely focus on anything other than how endearingly his cheeks were flushed.
“You wanted steak, so you will get steak.” He said simply with a smile, “From my wallet.” He added as an afterthought, making both of you break out into soft laughter.
You loved to relax like this with your husband after a mission, both of you lost in the other's eyes for a couple hours as you wound down from the high stress of your job. As long as you had each other, whether it was on a mission or sitting across the dinner table, you were content with life.

It wasn't even a bad day. In fact, it was a pretty good day, your boss even praised you for your work that day, so you couldn't say that you had a strike of unlucky things happening to you. However, when you bumped into Kim Yohan out of all people at your little sister's taekwondo academy, you were definitely in for a surprise.
Not that his presence at a taekwondo academy should have surprised you. After all, his father was a taekwondo master and he had been doing taekwondo professionally when you had last seen him. It was the fact that he was the one teaching your little sister as a practice teacher under a senior instructor’s supervision that surprised you. Oh, and of course the fact that you never expected to see your middle school crush again after he had gone to a different school, and your silly little broken heart had convinced you that you would never find true love after the boy you had confessed to had not only said nothing in return, but he had also left your school altogether. Back then, you had no phone, no social media account, so he had gone without a trace.
There was no doubt that it was him though. He had the same boba eyes, the same bunny smile and the same pitch-black hair that you had always imagined ruffling like those main leads in your favourite young adult books that you had loved back then. You had imagined Yohan in the love interest's place so many times, and you remembered that aching feeling of wanting your love life to turn out like the ones in those books all too well.
Alas, you had been young and naive and foolish and...
"Hi!" Yohan greeted you with a wide albeit surprised smile. Well, at least he didn't expect to see you here either.
"Hi!" You responded slowly, still taking in the sight of the boy who had grown into such a handsome young man. Not that you hadn't considered him handsome back then because you had. It's just that his features were even more defined now, his shoulders even broader and he was even taller than he used to be. Though you had last seen him around a decade ago, it shouldn’t have been surprising.
"I didn't expect to see you here."
"Me neither," you reciprocated his semi-nervous laughter with a smile as you tried to keep it cool. After all, he must have forgotten all about your confession, right? It had been so many years ago, he must not have even taken you seriously if he hadn't replied back then (not that he had a chance because you had practically run away from him after your confession, too embarrassed to bear his gaze).
Just like that, silence enveloped you, and you knew that Yohan had never been good at awkward situations, so you tried to keep it casual.
"I came to pick up my little sister, Yeji. She attends a class here. Your class, it seems," you explained, referring to the fact that you had seen your sister come out of the exact same practice room he had come out of.
Yohan's mouth formed a surprised O in return, but then, he was back to his usual coy self as he mentioned:
"It's not my class as per se. I'm still just a practice teacher."
"Everyone has to start somewhere, right?" You joked, trying to ease the slight awkwardness in the air, but you weren't sure that you saying such a thing was helping at all. God, you two were full-grown adults now, him already practising to be a teacher and you doing an internship, you should have known how to communicate better. Maybe it was just that the surprise hadn't worn off. Yeah, that should be it.
"How about you? Are you at uni or already working?" Yohan inquired after clearing his throat, and it was such a Yohan thing to do. He had always cleared his throat like that before giving presentations or being asked to solve a task by the board. It was such a silly thing to suddenly remember, but what could you do? You had been once head over heels for this boy.
"Oh, I finished uni during spring. I'm now doing an internship. I'm a sales intern for a fashion company."
"Sounds exciting."
"Yeah, it is," you responded with a smile, then to fill the silence, you told him about what tasks you had and what products were sold at the company and how you were working part-time, so you could pick up your little sister from now on because your mother now had a schedule change due to a colleague going on maternity leave. Not that he asked about half of it, but you knew that your little sister needed an awful lot of time to get ready, so even though kids were leaving the changing rooms one by one, you weren't surprised that you didn't see your sister coming out anytime soon.
In return, you asked about Yohan, and how he had ended up here and how long he would stay here and such, and he responded casually. These weren't such difficult questions though, but you were glad that the initial awkwardness wasn't lingering anymore.
Finally, your little sister showed up, her face still quite red, but her smile was as wide as it could be. Especially when she saw that you were talking to her teacher.
"Did you ask him how I was doing?" Yeji chirped, reaching out to hold your hand - something she always did when you were around others. She was extra clingy around strangers.
"No. We were catching up."
"Catching up?" She looked at you with wide eyes, then at Yohan. To that, you explained that you had been middle school classmates, and since she went to the same middle school as you did, she found it extremely fascinating that her taekwondo teacher went to the same school as she did.
"Anyways, let's not keep up your teacher any longer," you announced firmly when silence settled over the three of you. As expected, Yeji complained a bit, but eventually, she let her teacher go his way and you two also went your way which meant home in your case.
It didn't take long for your little sister to gossip about the fascinating revelation that her new practice teacher was your middle school classmate. To make matters worse, your mother knew exactly who Kim Yohan was, and she couldn't keep it quiet either.
"Wasn't he the boy you liked so much back then?" She exclaimed beamingly as if she had received great news, and you felt like falling head first into your bowl of pasta.
"You liked my teacher?" Yeji immediately shrieked excitedly, and it took some serious minutes to explain to her that it was a long time ago, you didn't like him anymore, and that he wasn't her teacher back then, so it didn't sound that weird.
Ever since then, you tried your very best not to run into Yohan when you went to pick her up or when you did, Yeji couldn't be around or ask anything regarding your middle school crush. Miraculously, it worked for some time, but once you had an urgent matter at work, so you couldn't leave on time, and you were almost half an hour late than you usually arrived. You basically ran from the underground station to the academy because Yeji didn't have a phone, so you couldn't tell her that you were on your way, and you were afraid that she would be panicking when she didn't see you after coming out of the changing rooms.
The sight that welcomed you was totally different though. Yeji and Yohan were sitting on the chairs opposite the reception desk, and they were playing cham cham cham. You let out a long, relieved sigh upon hearing your little sister's laughter, and your heart did a silly little somersault when Yohan's bunny smile was on full display while playing with her.
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry that I was late. Something came up at the company, and I had to stay a bit longer," you explained in one-go when you walked up to them, but instead of being angry, your little sister seemed more understanding.
"It's okay. Mom didn't always arrive on time either," she just shrugged, and god, you thanked the gods for having a sister like her in that moment. This gratefulness didn't stay with you for long though. "We were playing some games with your crush while waiting."
Oh. My. God. How did she... Why... How could... No. This wasn't happening. Nope.
"I've told you not to call him that," you muttered through gritted teeth, trying to act natural with a smile in Yohan's direction, but he definitely did hear you two talking, and if it was possible, he was even more flabbergasted than you were.
"Why not? You've said you told him-"
"Come on, that was a long time ago. Right, Yohan?" You glanced in the boy's direction quite frantically. You felt like it would have been better if the ground had opened up beneath you. You really just wanted to evaporate.
"Right, it was. You didn't even let me respond," he brought it up, almost sulkily, but you swore that you were on the verge of making an even bigger fool out of yourself and tell him that he was still handsome, and you found it cute that he was teaching kids, and he was seemingly good with your little sister too and that was adorable...
And so on and so forth, so you needed to leave.
"Anyways, we have to go now. I promised mom I would get groceries before going home, so we need to do that too," you clapped your hands to announce it and grabbed your sister's gym bag from the floor, throwing it over your shoulder.
Thankfully, your sister perked up at the mention of grocery shopping - which meant free food sometimes due to the promotional samples -, so she gave in easily. This way, you could bid your goodbye to Yohan as soon as possible, and you could leave before wanting to admit something that you just couldn't.
Yohan was kind enough not to bring up your awkward middle school confession, so your conversations could actually be about things that didn't cause awkwardness. He was still very much the introverted boy you had known him to be, but he could get really chatty when it was about a topic he was interested in or stories with his friends that he was trying to tell with big hand gestures and voice intonations. It didn't help your silly little heart though, in fact, you felt like you just fell deeper and deeper with no way out. Once your sister took an extra long time changing after practice, you could also see Yohan in a non-uniform outfit because he had already changed into his usual clothes before your sister came out, and oh boy, he did grow broader and stronger. He also knew how to dress himself, so the tight black jeans, simple white tee, leather jacket combo didn't help your heart at all.
Though you didn't meet outside of the taekwondo academy because why would you? You also had around 15-30 minutes twice a week to talk, so it's not like you talked a lot, though with him, you felt like you could listen to him all the time, so it wouldn't be enough anyway. He might have given you his number (in case you were late to pick up your sister, so at least he would know about it even if your sister didn't have a phone), but you didn't start messaging each other too intensively.
The first time you met each other outside of the taekwondo academy was at a taekwondo competition. It was your sister's first competition, so she was super nervous, but she got encouragement from both of her teachers and you as well. Her fellow taekwondo team members supported her as well, but she eventually lost before the semi-finals, and instead of staying out on the field, she didn't come up to you to the stand during break, so you got worried.
You walked down the corridors, and walked into the changing room where you had previously put down her stuff. However, she wasn't there. You were almost about to call Yohan, hoping that he looked at his phone during the breaks, when you caught sight of the said boy crouched down to be at eye-level with your sister and hugging her while she was crying.
"It's okay. I've lost in competitions too, it's inevitable. Next time you'll be even better. Almost making it into the semi-finals is already a great achievement," you heard Yohan say to her, patting her back reassuringly while Yeji was still constantly sobbing. Hearing her cry broke your heart a little, but the boy's reassurance warmed it a bit, too.
"Yohan is right," you said as you halted beside their duo, and gently patted your sister's shoulder to gain her attention. You reached a pack of tissues out to her, and she took it, immediately using up two to blow her nose and wipe away her tears. "It was your first competition. You did so well. Now you know what you can expect, and you'll smash it next time."
"And maybe even become a teacher like me one day," Yohan added with a light-hearted smile as he stood up straight.
"Really? Can I do that after losing here?" Yeji stopped crying to ask that question and blinked up at her giant of a teacher with bright, shining eyes. He nodded and told her just how many times he had lost in the past until she felt better and eventually went to the bathroom to wash her face.
"Thanks for being beside here. I thought she disappeared, but I'm glad that wasn't the case," you turned to Yohan after your sister got out of hearing range, and displayed a grateful smile.
"Don't mention it,” the boy shrugged casually, but you were truly grateful for his assistance, so you kept thanking him until he was called by the taekwondo master to get ready for the end of the break. He directed an apologetic smile at you, but you told him that he should go, you would fetch up your little sister afterwards.
Once Yeji was done in the bathroom and felt better, you two went back to the stand to watch the rest of the competition. Even though your little sister was a bit under the weather when her opponent made it to the final, she seemed supportive of her team members nevertheless, and she almost went back to her usual, bubbly self by the end of the event. You waited for her to change and get her stuff, and as usual, she was almost the last one to leave. That just meant that you managed to bump into Yohan on the way out.
You and Yeji were about to have some lunch, and your little sister was so pumped up about telling her teacher that she would have her favourite kimchi stew that she somehow ended up inviting Yohan as well. As expected, the boy tried to turn down the offer, but the grumbling of his stomach and Yeji’s puppy eyes convinced him to join you. Your sister couldn’t have been happier.
You couldn’t deny that you were happy as well. It was fun talking to the boy like this, and you had a fun time watching the boy’s facial expressions change when your little sister asked him very random questions such as his favourite childhood snacks, if he had ever seen Santa or if he had ever farted during a competition. That last one, though, was embarrassing even for you, so you tried to avert the topic to something more pleasant.
You three had different meals, and Yeji always tried others’ food if it didn’t involve something she absolutely despised, so she had some from your lunch and from Yohan’s lunch as well. Then, insisting that his meat was really good, Yohan even wrapped a piece of meat, rice and garlic in a perilla leaf and reached it out to you. You looked at him for a few seconds, confused, but ended up reaching for it while thanking him for the gesture. He gave you a gentle, almost proud smile in return, and there it was again: that warmth that ran through your body seeing his smile, feeling like you had just ran a marathon, but it wasn’t enough to tire you out, you were just so pumped up.
“Why didn’t you put it into her mouth? They always do that in dramas,” Yeji chirped in obliviously, and you almost choked imagining the scene of Yohan putting the perilla wrap into your mouth like couples would do. Yohan had the same reaction, but he tried to mask it with a few well-timed coughs.
“It’s because we are not a couple. It’s a thing that couples do, so it would be weird if we did so,” you explained to your little sister who seemed to be pondering for a few seconds before asking the very simple yet very complicated ‘why’. You blanched at the boldness of hers, your eyes growing twice their size, and your throat going dry. You reached for your glass of water and took a few sips of it, trying to come up with an answer that wouldn’t hurt Yohan's feelings either, but it wouldn’t give away your feelings either.
However, taking your silence as if you couldn’t understand her question, Yeji continued with her honest, child-like curiosity.
“Do you really not like each other anymore?”
“It’s not that. It’s compli-”
“Then, do you still like him, no?”
“I mean…” You protested fervently, your embarrassment growing by the second. Sure, kids were honest, and they didn’t hold themselves back, but they also didn’t know the complexity of human emotions and how people didn’t always like each other back. You were sure that the movies and dramas she watched weren’t about unrequited love either.
You were about to go into a long-ass monologue about how reality could be different from what she saw in the media, but Yohan spoke up after clearing his throat.
“I like her. I always did,” he admitted coolly, but the way he was picking on his food with his chopsticks without looking into your eyes gave away his nervousness.
You practically froze in place, unable to move or speak because you just couldn’t believe that he had confessed that he liked you, and he had always done so. It was what you had been imagining all those years ago while rolling on your bed and listening to heartwarming pop songs about first loves, it was what you had been imagining when you had picked up the courage to confess to him on the last day of grade 7, and it was what you had been imagining ever since, and now that it was out, you were unable to form coherent words.
“But… like… why didn’t you tell me before?” You mumbled, still puzzled, when you managed to pull yourself together enough to speak up. Yohan’s eyes darted between different parts of the restaurant before landing on yours, and his gaze made it impossible to look away. There was just so much in his eyes, a whole galaxy if you wanted to be corny, that you felt like you would never be able to have enough of looking into his orbs.
“It’s not like you let me tell you back then. You practically ran away!”
“Because you were frozen, and didn’t say a thing. So I figured you don’t like me and ran away to save both of us from further embarrassment.”
“I was frozen like you now. I couldn’t believe that someone like you would like me back,” Yohan insisted, and this almost sulky side of him was so adorable, so similar to his younger days that you almost felt like hugging him to your chest when he was already way taller than you. Gosh, you really did think that he said nothing because he didn’t like you whereas he was just surprised. You had to process that information and his pouty lips and his twinkling eyes and…
“Are you going to kiss now?” Yeji blurted out, too excited for her own good, but both you and Yohan answered with a vehement no before locking gazes again and bursting into laughter. You almost forgot about your little sister being there beside you because you were so into your own little world, but how could you forget about her presence and enthusiasm towards you and your crush on Yohan?
“We can try later though,” the boy mentioned with a teasing tone, and you held up your chopsticks warningly, but the boy’s giggles made you let go of any (theatrical) annoyance you held towards him.
Now that was out of the way, the rest of the lunch was fun and almost peaceful, but you would have never thought that his confession would happen at a restaurant on the way home from your sister’s first taekwondo competition, over perilla leaf wraps and bowls of steaming noodles. You wouldn’t have had it any other way though. It was so like you and Yohan, and it was just perfect.

Hello!! I see that you write for WEi! Can you please write Junseo with prompt 5 and 121 from the fluff prompts?
5. “Kiss me again.” 121. “Are you blushing?”
Your second date with Junseo is coming to a close and that makes you sad, truthfully.
The first date was lovely, albeit very nerve-racking. You and Junseo have been friends for years. Not best friends, but still, friends. Making the transition from friends to dating made you a bit nervous, but you would have been a fool to miss your opportunity and you knew that. Junseo was not only the most gorgeous person you’ve ever known in real life, but also the sweetest. Just being around him felt good. So when he asked you on a date after walking you home from a party one night, you were shocked. But you were also overwhelmingly excited.
You never thought Junseo could look at you that way. Truth be told, a part of the reason you had never been closer friends with him was because you had a little crush on him. Okay, maybe a big crush. Either way, you didn’t want to get too close because you couldn’t trust yourself not to fall head over heels in love with him. You didn’t want to make yourself miserable pining after a best friend that didn’t reciprocate your feelings.
But now it’s 9:34 pm and you’re sitting atop one of the picnic tables at the park. Junseo promised to have you home by 10:00. You don’t have a pressing bedtime, but he insisted on having you home early enough for a good night’s rest.
He brought you out for an evening picnic tonight. Sure, most people like to have their picnics during the day when the sun is bright and beautiful, but you have a tendency to not eat much until dinner time. Junseo knows that about you. Besides, the low lights of the street lamps feel quite romantic, if you ask him.
You’ve been having such a nice time. All the awkwardness and newness of the first date is gone. Now it feels like it used to–just hanging out with Junseo, someone you happen to like quite a lot. It’s just that now he likes you too.
You stretch, arms above your head. You’ve been sitting here for sometime, talking about this and that. You were originally sitting on a blanket in the grass–typical of your traditional picnic date–but after eating, Junseo asked you to go for a walk with him. So you did, his hand finding its way to yours naturally, his fingers slotting themselves between your own. At some point, you stopped walking and wandered to this table to sit together, gazing up at the sky. If it were up to you, you’d never leave.
You glance next to you when you feel the table shift under you, finding Junseo’s spot empty as he slides off the table. You lift your eyes to where he stands in front of you, tilting your head in curiosity. A warm smile on his face, Junseo leans forward, placing his palms on the table either side of you. He’s so close and so beautiful.
“It’s time for me to walk you home.” Junseo answers your silent question with a mock pout of his bottom lip, his eyes glittering. He doesn’t want the night to end either.
“Ah… right.” Your words sound unenthusiastic because they are. Partly because you’d rather stay here with him and partly because you’re finding yourself distracted by the pout on his lips. His much-too-soft-looking lips. You normally wouldn’t stare so much but how can you resist when they’re this close?
You stare in silence for longer than you think, only jolting back to reality when you hear a car horn in the distance. Your eyes flicker toward his, wondering if you’ve been caught. His eyes are all over your face, following your gaze, taking in every heart-stopping bit of you he can see. When your eyes finally settle on each other’s again, your heart swells at the steadiness of him. If he’s nervous, you’d never know it.
“Do you want to kiss me?” His voice is barely above a whisper, but it’s sure of itself.
You decide not to feel embarrassed. Of course you want to kiss him. Doesn’t everyone? You nod your head.
You force your eyes to stay on him, ignoring the butterflies that flood your stomach and make you feel like hiding. You’re grateful you don’t because you get to experience every exhilarating millisecond it takes for him to close the distance between the two of you, his eyes closing slowly and his lips taking the perfect shape to fit against yours. When your lips touch, all of your nerves vanish.
You feel like this is where you were always meant to be.
The kiss isn’t short, but it isn’t long either. Your lips work against each other’s softly, slowly, full of feeling. It lasts just long enough for you to wish that Junseo would forget being a gentleman and let you feel his tongue too. But alas, he pulls away before you can miss it too much, a contented smile on his face. Still no nerves in sight. Must just be you.
Speaking of nerves, they’re back in full force now that you’ve shared your first kiss with Junseo and he’s looking at the afterglow of it on your face. You hope you don’t look as love-drunk as you feel, but just the thought alone is enough to tint your cheeks a soft pink.
Your eyes flit away, choosing to look at anything but him until your heart and stomach settle. You hear Junseo chuckle softly, his hand coming up to brush your cheek with the back of it. “Are you blushing?” His hand turns, holding your face gently. “Look at me.”
You do, but you’re not happy about it. Not until you see the fondness in his eyes, in his adoring smile.
“No,” you lie, scrunching your nose up in mock disgust. As if you’re above it all.
“Mhmm,” Junseo hums, unable to keep another laugh from spilling out. His thumb brushes your cheek one last time before his hand leaves your face altogether, holding itself out to you instead. “Let’s go, pretty. I said I’d have you home by 10:00 and we’ll be late if we don’t leave now.” This time, you pout. You take his hand and slide off the table, sighing in defeat.
As much as you want to prolong the night, you spend what little time you have left with him enjoying every single moment. You enjoy the feeling of your hand in his, the closeness of his body to yours as you walk, the soothing sound of his voice. The cool air is cold enough to cause a chill but not cold enough to burn. Everything is perfect.
When you reach your house, it’s 9:58. “Just in time,” Junseo boasts, your bodies turning to face each other as you stand outside your front door. He is always smiling when you look at him, just in different genres. You’ve seen an excited smile, a knowing smile, a fond smile, and now a proud smile, all in the course of this one night. You can’t wait to see how many more smiles he has that you’ve never noticed before.
You pull him into a hug, enjoying the warmth of him as you rest your head on his chest. “Thank you for tonight. It was really nice.” He hums, hand rubbing your back and his head resting on the top of yours. You let yourself melt into the moment, not wanting to pull away from him. “I should probably get inside before the clock strikes 10:00, huh?”
You feel the rumble of Junseo’s chest as he snickers. “Mhm, you should.” Another few seconds of silence. “But wait.”
You pull back enough to look up at him. “Hmm?”
He tucks a strand of hair behind your ear and lets his hand stroke your hair until it’s resting on the back of your head. “Kiss me again.”
The butterflies come back as if they never left, but you ignore them, inching yourself up until your lips press against his just as before. You can feel him smile into the kiss, another type of smile for you to add to the list.
He pulls away much quicker this time, only accepting a peck before pulling you into a tight hug again. “Thank you,” he murmurs into your hair. “Now get inside so we don’t break my promise.”

WEi and PDA
Daehyeon:
Kisses;
All types of kisses, forehead, cheek, hand....
But his favourite spot is the lips;
There's something so intimate, so pure, so loving;
He just can't get enough (of you);
He's not a show off per say, but he makes it known to everyone in the room that you're with him.
Donghan:
Feeding you;
At first you didn't really like it, but after many tries you decided to accept his love with open arms;
Since he's like a little puppy anything and everything makes him excited;
And because he loves you so much he has to show it somehow;
He also wants to baby you in some way (one that you'll let him).
Yongha:
Playing with you;
What I mean by this is, either you're giving him attention or not, he's gonna play with your hair, your hands, your shirt, anything relating to you;
He just wants to be as close to you as possible, he's just a little baby.
Yohan:
This one is more specific;
PUTTING HIS ARM AROUND YOU;
Your waist, your shoulders it doesn't matter;
It's natural to him and it makes you swoon each time;
You're his and the world knows it too.
Seokhwa:
So self explanatory, but hugs;
He's just such a warm, cheery person it fits him perfectly;
Side hugs when he's trying to convince you to get ice cream at 2 am, back hugs for when you're doing any task and he wants your attention and front hugs after smooching you all over your face;
Very Seokhwa.
Junseo:
Holding hands <3<3<3<3;
He's so fluffy, angel, shy, beautiful, it had to be;
He loves having you by the hand, he also loves when you're just walking around window shopping and you just pull on him when you want to go in;
The usual dragging around but he actually enjoys it (he finds you the most adorable when you're excited).

for wei who would be mtl to kiss you in front of the other members?
most
donghan junseo daehyeon yongha yohan seokhwa
least
donghan kisses his members so he has no qualms about kissing you in front of them either.
junseo gets a little shy about it, but it’s worth a little bit of blushing to kiss you, especially if you’re leaving and he’s saying goodbye. the alternative of letting you leave without a goodbye kiss is much worse. (he’s also very proud to have you so like even if he gets embarrassed sometimes, he likes to show you off.)
daehyeon acts like it’s cringe when anyone else does it, but he will kiss you in front of his members to “assert dominance.” if anyone has a problem, he’ll pull out the leader card all too happily. it’s much more about flexing on the others, i fear. (unless he’s moody that day then it’s because he’s pouty and the only thing that can make him feel better is a kiss from you, duh.)
yongha will not often initiate a kiss with you in front of his members, but he won’t deny you if you kiss him. he gets SO pink cheeked about it every time, but his tummy is all full of butterflies and it’s all he thinks about for the rest of the day.
yohan usually doesn’t kiss you in front of the members unless he’s just not being mindful at the minute. sometimes he’ll do it on accident because he’s not thinking, but it doesn’t really bother him. he’s just like “oh, oops” and moves on. i don’t think it’s a conscious choice so much as it is just something he doesn’t think to do in front of other people.
seokhwa just would rather not kiss you in front of his members. it’s more about preserving the preciousness between you two than being embarrassed, because he’s not. he will sometimes act like he’s “above” it, but he’s just as easy to pout if you don’t kiss him goodbye because how could you not kiss him goodbye?

Domestic WEi
Daehyeon:
You begged and begged for Daehyeon to be done with his work;
And it’s not like he wanted to leave you to boredom, he promised after many weeks apart that today was gonna be just the two of you;
But his computer got in the way;
When inspiration strikes you can’t let it runaway;
You of course understand but you really missed him and spending time with him.
So now there you were sitting on his lap while he types his thoughts away.
It didn’t take you long to fall asleep and when he noticed his heart clenched;
He felt so guilty, you only wanted one thing and he failed to give you what you wanted;
His work was finally done but he didnd’t want to wake you up, so he stayed on the couch holding you and caressing your hair making sure to whisper a “I love you” in your ear.
Donghan:
It was his turn to clean the dorm and let’s just say he wasn’t too happy about it;
Usually they clean in twos but they played rock paper scissors and Donghan just so happened to be the only who lost;
But lucky for him you showed up at his door an hour ago, asking if he was busy;
He told you that unfortunately he wouldn’t be available and explained he had to clean the dorms;
You went inside and immeaditely rolled up your sleeves as a sign of help;
Donghan didn’t expect you to join this tedious task but he was very happy he wouldn’t be doing this alone:
At the end of the day it took way less time and it was extremely pleasant for the both of you;
You had your dance breaks, singing duets and your own season of show me the money;
It’s safe to say Donghan wouldn’t mind losing a game again.
Yongha:
Avatar was all people were talking about and you never really cared that much, but your boyfriend certainly did;
He was so sad he couldn’t get tickets for the first screening of the movie, and you were so sad you couldn’t just tell him you got the tickets;
This is the downside of surprises, you have to make him suffer until it’s the right time;
The day finally came and you had asked Yongha to pick you up, you hadn’t specified why and he didn’t ask either which good for you cause you had no excuse prepared;
When he got to your place he called you and you stepped outside;
You got in the car and he asked you if you were okay, you said yes of course but you just wanted to see him;
He of course was extremely happy but when you showed him your phone he couldn’t believe his eyes;
“WAIT??!! YOU GOT TICKETS???!!!” ;
You told him you were sorry for not telling him sooner but you didn’t want to ruin the surprise;
He couldn’t care less if he was sulky for a week straight he was just so happy to have someone like you by his side, so thoughtful and loving;
Let’s just say he was like a kid with candy for the rest of the night.
Yohan:
He finally had some free time in his hands so the only logical thing to do was relax;
But he felt like staying in the same environment as always wouldn’t really give him the sense of free time;
So he called up a hotel and made a reservation for two people, you and him;
After getting off the phone with the receptionist he texted you;
“Tomorrow im picking you up, pack lightly”;
You were more than confused, what do you mean pack?? But you knew that if you made any questions he wouldn’t answer them;
So you packed not sure of the outfit choices but you also didn’t know what you had to pack for;
Tomorrow finally came and he did indeed show up at your door, dressed like an uncle going to hawai;
You were scared you didn’t have your passport with you and you asked him if you’d be needing it and he laughed;
“We’re going on a staycation dont worry”;
When you got there it was like paradise the place was so calm and pretty you couldn’t wait to jump in the pool.
But yohan had different plans, he layed on the bed and dragged you with him,
“Did you just come here to sleep??”;
“No but right now it’s the thing I want the most and I want to cuddle you”;
You were caught off guard with his sincerity but you quickly melted to his side.
Seokhwa:
Another day another parenting shift for Seokhwa;
And apparentely for you too;
You were both currently pet sitting cookie and dalli;
It’s not like you didn’t like it but it’s definetly not what you had in mind when Seokhwa called you to come over;
It was time for cookie’s walk so you briefly said goodbye to dalli telling her you weren’t going to take long;
And off you were for a little trip to the dog park;
Cookie is a little scared of crowed and loud places so you have to pick him up;
So it’s really just the two of you walking;
You didn’t mind it was kind of peaceful just stroling around with no places to be or anything to do really;
And of course no outing with Seokhwa would end without some silly or cute pictures;
If there’s not a picture, it never happened.
Junseo:
It was Yongha’s birthday and everyone was in charge of doing something for his little surprise bday party;
You and Junseo volunteered to make the cake;
So that led you to go grocery shopping and now you were in the kitchen reading the recipe;
“Are you sure we got everything we needed?”;
“Yeees, not only we double checked we triple checked Junseo you can breath”;
Everything was going well until one of you spelled the flour;
“Why would you do that?!!”;
“I didn’t it was you!!”;
As you were saying that he threw some flour in your face laughing at your now white casted face;
You didn’t let him win this war and you lathered some frosting on his face;
With all this laughing and screaming Daehyeon decided to check on what was going on;
Not only was he shocked at what he saw he had to break up “the fight” or you'd use all the ingredients on one another instead of the cake;
You both promised there was need for supervision and that you wouldn’t screw around anymore;
But stealing glances at Junseo you could tell this was far from over.

Good indeed
“Don’t tell me you never had these,” Wei Ying said, his frown loud across his brow. “Lan Zhan! Every kid tries them.”
Lan Wangji gave a minute shrug. He never had many sweets as a child. There was one very memorable occasion when his mother made rice cakes; if pressed, Lan Wangji would categorise their flavour as pink. They were pink. And sweet, he supposed.
“Lan Zhan,” with the reproving tone. “You have to.”
Since there was no feasible way for Lan Wangji to refuse him, no matter how ridiculous the request, he picked up the sweet and placed it gingerly on his tongue. His eyes immediately watered at the attack.
“Good, isn’t it,” Wei Ying grinned, so pleased that Lan Wangji made himself chew and then swallow without a single hum of complaint. It was not that he disliked sweets, exactly. Simply that he was unaccustomed. He could come to like them, if Wei Ying willed it so.
“What else,” Wei Ying was muttering, tapping the bridge of his nose. “What else, what else?”
“Mn?” shamefully unfocused. It was only, the bridge of Wei Ying’s nose was a lovely place to rest his eyes; there were two freckles there that especially called to attention. It was sometimes quite difficult to have conversations with Wei Ying in the sunlight, where he shone; or under torchlight, where he was golden; or moonlight, where he glowed; or in the dark, where he was brilliant.
Oh. Wei Ying must have said something; the corners of his eyes crinkled with the smile. “What is it my husband is so busy thinking of, hmm?”
“You,” Lan Wangji answered, at once, honestly.
“Yes, yes, that’s always your answer.”
Lan Wangji blinked in confusion. “It is the truth. I always think of you.”
“Lan Zhan!” with the flushing cheeks, impossibly lovely, “Why do you always have to,” and then he was in Lan Wangji’s arms, hiding his face in the crook of his neck, burrowing. The voice came out muffled: “Just, unbearable!”
“Mn,” Lan Wangji capitulated. He felt no particular remorse for the weight of his Wei Ying crushing the air out of him, or the scent, talisman paper and sweat and rain and rose-water, or the waving rolls of laughter he could still hear, choked-out and precious for how common they were. Wei Ying was so free with his laughter, generous with his joy. It was incomparable to anything Lan Wangji had ever met.
“We were talking about something else entirely!” Wei Ying emerged from the cocoon of Lan Wangji’s robes. “Trying to distract me with your handsome devil tricks—no longer, I am onto you!”
Lan Wangji lowered his head in repentance. “Whatever Wei Ying wishes,” he said, to another groan.
“No, silly, you’ve got it all wrong. Today we are doing as Lan Zhan wishes, remember? We’re trying to fill all these gaps in your childhood.”
“There are no gaps,” Lan Wangji said, not for the first time.
“How can you say that when we just learned you never had sweets!”
Lan Wangji felt himself frown. Wei Ying called it his ‘non-frown’; he was of the opinion that Lan Wangji’s face barely moved, that extracting an expression out of him was an incredible feat. He made little sense, sometimes.
“I had sweets before,” Lan Wangji said. “My mother had—”
“Made rice cakes once in your life and it tasted pink! You see how that doesn’t count, yes? You don’t even remember how it tasted.”
“I remember. Pink.”
“I mean, a real taste!” Wei Ying threw his arms up, and affection so bright scorched through Lan Wangji’s middle, dazzling. For a moment, he could think of nothing at all. Blinded with this, Wei Ying, on a grey day, in a small town’s market, arguing about sweets. “Pink is not a flavour!”
He was not certain what qualified Wei Ying, whose taste buds would have dissolved many years ago, to be the judge on such matters. But then again it was not as though Lan Wangji knew better. “Mn,” he said, appeasing.
“You,” Wei Ying tutted a finger in his direction, eyes bright, “will do as your gege tells you, for once in your life. What about respect for your elders, hmm?”
Lan Wangji allotted a moment for mental mathematics before declaring the matter pointless. He will do as Wei Ying tells him, of course. “Mn,” was the easiest, most honest response, even if it came off a little eager.
“All right,” grinning wide, putting a merciful arm around Lan Wangji’s shoulders, “where to, then?”
“What?”
Wei Ying flicked him softly. “What do you want to do. Your gege wants to spoil you, Lan Zhan, and remember, you promised to let him.”
“I…” he truly, truly, did not know what to say. Normally pleasing Wei Ying was a simple matter, requiring no conscious thought; this was a task of unprecedented proportions. “Wei Ying spoils me all the time.”
“Not nearly. And far from enough. Come on, you can tell me! What is it that Hanguang-jun is so embarrassed to do?”
“There is nothing,” Lan Wangji said, shame-faced, failing, “Wei Ying.”
“Yes?”
“I want to do as Wei Ying wants.”
Wei Ying rubbed his chin thoughtfully. “Well,” he said. “Suppose that would be a tough question. Put on the spot like that, my poor baby. Say,” brightening, “as a proper Lan, I bet you never even considered the concept of a nap.”
“What is a nap,” Lan Wangji said, just to make him laugh.
“Aha! Another gap unlocked. Lan Zhan, we are going back to the inn room, and you are going to curl into bed with me like a good boy and let me cuddle the nap out of you.”
A frisson of heat ran, lightning-bright down his spine. “Mn,” he said, unable to control his tone.
“Lan Zhan! Such a naughty mind. I mean it! We will nap.”
“Yes,” Lan Wangji said earnestly. “I will be a good boy for Wei Ying.”
“Ah,” with a hint of a laugh, “yes, my husband is such a good boy. Back to the inn, then; there’s nothing better than a good nap on a rainy day. Oh, but we must go back to the sweets stall first and clean out the nice lady’s wares.”
“As Wei Ying wishes.”
He could imagine few things indeed that would rival being in bed, holding Wei Ying. Perhaps he will get half a shichen for this. Perhaps even longer.
“What is it you are thinking of?” Wei Ying asked, his voice soft, words close. He tucked a lock of Lan Wangji’s hair behind his ear, eyes wide, gentle, burning-fond. Lan Wangji sought, and sought, for the words, and knew he would never come close to conveying this.
“You,” he said eventually, defeated, delighted. “My husband makes me very happy.”
For a moment Wei Ying just rested his head on Lan Wangji’s shoulder, and breathed. Then he smiled—something new, brighter, peeled open and brimming with joy. “Good,” he said, and took Lan Wangji in his arms for a crushing embrace, “that is very, very good.”
They went back to the sweets stall, and then to the inn. Lan Wangji, who never felt the existence of gaps in his life which weren’t filled with Wei Ying’s return, was indulged nevertheless, and allowed it, just as he would allow Wei Ying anything.
Tomorrow they would switch, and he would get to spoil Wei Ying. It was a very good existence indeed.
