*just my opinions, take them with a grain of salt

-Neptune hard aspects to Mercury/ Neptune in 3rd/Pisces Mercury- people may constantly underestimate your intelligence and they’re genuinely surprised if you’re observant/smart

-The only Virgo risings I’ve known that are not skinny/petite have mars conjunct asc (even then they had a period of time when they were really skinny and either got out of that on purpose or on accident)

-Did you notice that a lot of Cancer Asc men get cast as like “traditional” manly men. I saw Ben Affleck was a Cancer Asc and Kurt Russel! They’re both known for their action movies (I like Kurt Russel more lol) and I was looking at Jon Hamm’s birth chart and he’s a cancer Asc too. He prefers to be a comedy guy, but looks like he walked out of the 50s so he had his breakthrough in mad men. (There’s also a lot going on there with that whole hazing scandal that I note everytime I see him so that’s a lot)

-Libra mars Asc try not to get frustrated but often their mars energy leaks out in other ways and they end up expressing their anger somehow despite the passive aggressive placement for a mars sign

-Fire Mercuries (especially Leo and Sagittarius) copy speech patterns/catch phrases a lot imo, almost as much as water Mercuries but less exact mimicry. Earth Mercuries tend to have very specific speech patterns that don’t change too much throughout their life, they can be very direct and to the point but will have a great deal of detail to share depending on the subject. Air Mercuries tend to have very distinct speech patterns and usually are the most likely to talk and write in their own sort of prose, I’ve known a few (specifically Gemini Mercuries) that have overcome speech impediments and become great, captivating speakers.

-Pluto touching Saturn can amplify its lessons and effects to a higher degree. (Trine, Sextile) will make the experiences more intense but conjunction, opposition, and square could make these effects explosive and intense. With both positive and negative aspects the native will be forced to transform and change their ways- with the negative aspects (conjunct, opposition, square) the native will feel the trials they go through in these transformations

-12th house placements can give you psychic dreams, I’ve also frequently dreamed being people other than myself. Mars will have action oriented dreams. Sun may have more dreams about experiences they’ve had echoing in their dreams. Moon will have deep emotional experiences. Venus may dream about love and friendships.

-Moon opposition sun synastry can create a lot of tension in a romantic relationship. There seems to be some underlying competitiveness going on. Especially if the moon and the sun are Cardinal signs.

-Moon conjunct Sun synastry can be intense. I think it shows how conjunct can be a negative aspect. The energies can understand each other sure, but they can also become an echo chamber of feeding into each other’s egos. I feel similarly about Sun conjunct Asc synastry. (My parents had this and oof, if that relationship isn’t karmic anyway it’s even more so now..)

-The only conjunct synastry I think I had intensely play out was Scorpio moon conjunct my Asc (I didn’t even realize it at the time) it was a lot! Fun and passionate but also he would get so overwhelmed he would be just shaking in normal conversation. Felt like with that and the 8th house synastry and my venus conjunct his pluto there was no was to turn the heat down and be normal with each other. Like we knew it would be short term but he was like talking about the future then I was overthinking the future and then it was over and idk that’s too much imo lol, lil dramatic just to be over in a snap. (Local Capricorn moon doesn’t get what all the fuss is about lol)

-Plus you can have all the positive synastry in the world, it really depends on timing and effort and individual choices and joint communication to work on your relationship, it’s an effort game

Nakshatra Gunas - The Study of Underlying Motivations

I am part of that power which eternally wills evil and eternally works good.

For those unfamiliar with the concept, the Gunas of Nakshatras translate to the essential energetic disposition of the natives and the effect their have on their environment. This energy goes beyond words and simple communication. It is simply the vibrational imprint that these Nakshatras produce.

To understand the Gunas, we first need to understand the concepts of Rajas, Tamas and Sattva.

Rajas is the human pursuit of fulfillment of desire. It’s the material enjoyment and the planning, preserving and organizing that comes with that enjoyment as the prerequisite. It’s linked strictly to the concept that there is a certain lack that one must fulfill through the material world, but that lack is in reality lack of self awareness, that we are developing here. Rajasic planets are Mercury and Venus.

Tamas is the difficulties that are put in front of us for the purpose of our development, what we discover once we got to know ourselves enough through Rajas. Tamas is simply where we show spiritual ignorance, but the goal of Tamas is ultimately wrestling the dragon and breaking that ignorance. Here is where we face and overcome our “shadow side”, or fail to do so if the planet doesn’t perform well. Tamasic bodies are Rahu, Ketu, Saturn and Mars.

Sattva is the state of spiritual enlightenment. With that enlightenment comes satisfaction even among difficult circumstances, because Sattva is aware that even any difficulties of the Tamasic stage are an act of God for our self betterment. As a result, Sattvic natives are detached from obsessive desires but also excessive worries about the future. Sattvic planets are Sun, Moon and Jupiter.

If you look at the table above, you will see that each Nakshatra has three levels to it’s Guna nature.

Level one is the basic nature of each Nakshatra, but that only puts them into each group, showing that the first one through Rajas is achieving self awareness, the second one through Tamas confronts their darkness in interpersonal relationships and the last one achieves Sattvic bliss in collective participation. However, once we go beyond a certain level of simplicity, we discover a deeper story in levels two and three.

I will give you an example with Pushya, because it has all 3 Gunas in its nature. In its base, Pushya is a Rajasic Nakshatra, which means it desires to establish a structure in the physical world, based on its Dharmic interests. But as we move to level 2, we can see that Pushya’s underlying motivation is Sattva, meaning that there is desire in this Nakshatra to build physical, Rajasic structures as abodes to Sattvic practices. So the Rajasic desire has a spiritual tinge to it, because it allows one to feel the presence of God on Earth. Then, we get to level 3, the deepest, most hidden expression of what Pushya does. It creates Tamas, triggers in eyes of other people, because when structures of both Rajasic and Sattvic splendor appear in front of people, all their insecurities are lit up through contrast. As a result, actual contact with such splendor forces people into very deep self reflection, which causes discomfort and so reveals people’s lowest nature through Tamas. Pushya’s deepest desire is for all that splendor to purify their lowest parts also.

Another example that contains all 3 Gunas, Vishakha. Vishaka’s basis is Tamasic, showing its intimidating, fiery facade and overpowering nature. This Nakshatra causes superficial conflict or discomfort due to submission of either party in its immediate environment at first glance. However, as we go deeper to level 2, we discover Vishakha actually has a desire for a peaceful Sattvic state, and they are more assured in their chaos than people give them credit for. So the intentions of these natives are more pure than we expect at first glance, as they have an inherent positivity at their core and enjoy a friendly atmosphere. However, as we descend into level 3 we discover the presence of Rajas, their passionate desire nature and their talent to conquer the world, themselves and immerse in self development. This is also where these natives realize that the Tamas they were facing was due to others sensing their competitive nature and wanting to subdue them to eliminate them as potential rivals for their desires, and admit their own desire for growth and progress to themselves.

As you can see, each Nakshatra has a unique story that shows its progress, desires and complexities. Level 1 is the part of Nakshatras nature that seems the most obvious, down to level 3 which translates as energetic consequences that you might even think are unexpected. You can meet people who seem chaotic but desire peace, and people who seem polite but secretly want to create chaos. And all of these traits exist for a reason of the Nakshatras fulfilling their karmic destiny.

The Day I Picked Up D... Depression (Bungo Stray Dogs)

When I started watching BSD (because I was severely depressed after JJK), people told me "wait for Chuuya's entry"... And then he appears, yes, the hat, the collar, the glove, the hair, very cool!

I waited for the chemistry to hit me, the explosive tension to engulf me.

I chuckled at their banter, but there was an underlying tension that I couldn't unsee. It was chaos, it was love-hate, but it didn't give me that blissful, wholesome vibes.

Then I watch Season 2, a tall, lanky man walks into the frame. He looks unkempt, nothing very noticeable at one glance except his towering height...

He has a little pout, his mouth turned down. Steel blue eyes, a pointy chin, ginger hair.

"Not bad... Maybe a cool side character." I say to myself.

Then he speaks, with a deep timbre, and I sit a little straighter.

He says he wants to write a novel.

He eats curry rice... Likes it spicy.

I never touched it but I feel like i only ever hear positive things said about song of achilles.. in (rough strokes at least) what makes it dogshit to you?

Okay it's been a while since I actually read it so some of this might not be spot on accurate. Sorry if at any point I say 'the book never does xyz' and it actually does once or twice but I think my underlying criticisms are accurate

-Patroclus is made into like this soft gentle tender quivering little yaoi boy. In the source text, he's shown as compassionate and moved by the suffering of his own men (and apparently having some medical skill, tending to the wounded in the camp), but very much invested n combat and very, very good at it (pages worth of descriptions of the guys he's killing left and right). In this, the arguably more complex character from this 8th century BC text is flattened into Being A Healer, he doesn't want to go to war he just wants to help people, he only goes because Achilles has to but he doesn't want to fight he's a HEALER he's a gentle lover NOT A FIGHTER who just wants to help he just wants to help everyone around him he HEALS while Achilles is a doomed warrior who is so good at fighting and KILLING its a DICHOTOMY GUYS!!!LIKE THE BEAUTIFUL SUN AND MOON DOOMED LOVERS SO SAD patocluse HEALER . (I Think he's specifically characterized as being BAD at fighting but might be misremembering)

-I don't remember much about Achilles' characterization I think it just makes him less of a jackass while not adding anything of interest and levels out into being mad boring.

-Not getting into the literal millenias old debate whether the mythological characters Achilles and Patroclus were being characterized as some type of lover by the original oral sources of the Iliad or its Homeric writers. We will never know. We don't even know what (if any) culturally accepted conventions of male homosexuality existed in bronze age Greece (we know much more about their descendants). But there are some interesting elements of their characterization in this direction, with how unconventional their relationship is WITHIN the text itself- Patroclus is described as cooking for Achilles and his guests (very specifically a woman/wife's job), Achilles chides Patroclus like a father, but there's also scene where Achilles' mourning of him directly echoes a passage of Hector's wife mourning her husband, Patroclus is explicitly stated to Achilles' elder, and is overall treated as his equal or near-equal, closest confidant and most beloved friend (to the point that pederastic classical Greeks would debate over who was erastes (older authority figure lover) and who was eromenos (adolescent 'beloved')- many took it as a given that this text depicted their present-day cultural norms of homosexual behavior but it existed so Outside of these norms that it had to be debated who was who). Their relationship is non-standard both within the text and to the descendants of the civilization that wrote them.

Basically what I'm saying is this book had opportunities to like, explore the unconventionality of the relationship (being presented here as explicitly lovers), explore the dynamics of why Patroclus wants to do 'women's work' (besides being a tenderhearted softboy), the weird dynamics where they take on paternal roles to each other but also roles of wives, how they feel about being this way, and just kind of Doesn't. Which I guess isn't an intrinsic fault (because it omits much of what I just talked about to begin with). it's just like.... Lame. This book takes jsut abandons everything interesting about the source text in favor of flattening it into bland Doomed Yaoi.

-The conflict that sets off the core story of the Iliad is Achilles and Agamemnon fighting over Briseis, an enslaved Trojan woman taken by Achilles as a war-trophy, Achilles spends most of the story moping because he was dishonored by his 'trophy' being taken. Achilles and Patroclus and everyone else are raping their captives, all the women in the story are either captured Trojans (or in the case of the free women within the walls of Troy, soon to be enslaved, and are slave owners themselves). Slavery as an institution and extreme patriarchal conventions are innate to the text and reflective of the context in which it was developed. You cannot avoid it.

But obviously you can't have your soft yaoi boys doing this, so the author has them capturing women to Protect Them from the other men. Their slaves are UNDER THEIR PROTECTION and VERY SAFE (and they might even Like And Befriend Them but I might be misremembering that. Briseis does though). Our heroes have apparently absorbed none of the ideals of the culture they exist in and the author seems to think "they're gay and aren't sexually attracted to their captives" would translate to them being outright benevolent (also as if wartime sexual violence is just about attraction and not part of a wider spectrum of violent acts to dehumanize and brutalize an accepted 'enemy')

In the source text, Briseis mourns Patroclus as being the kindest to her of her captors, who tried to get her a slightly better outcome by getting her married to Achilles (which probably would be the Least Bad of all possible outcomes for a woman in that situation, becoming a legal wife instead of a slave), and wonders what will happen to her now that he's gone. This is a really really sad, horrible, and compelling dynamic which could be fleshed out in very interesting ways but is instead is tossed entirely aside in favor of them being Besties. Like brother and sister.

All of the above pisses me off so much. If you don't want to engage in the icky parts of ancient/bronze age Greece then don't write a retelling of a story taking place in bronze age Greece. I'm not gonna get mad at children's adaptations of Greek myths or silly fun stories loosely based on them for omitting the rape and slavery but it is SO fundamental to the Iliad. If you're not willing to handle it, either fully omit it or better yet set your Iliad inspired yaoi in an invented swords-and-sandals setting where you can have all your heartbreaking tragic doomed lovers plot beats and not have to clumsily write around the women they're brutalizing.

-The author didn't seem to know what to do with Thetis and she made her just like, Achilles bitch mother who spends most of the story trying to separate our Yaoi Boys (iirc her disguising Achilles as a girl and hiding him on Scyros is made to be more about getting him away from Patroclus than trying to save her son from his prophesied doom in the Trojan War) until she sees how much they loooove each other and I think helps Patroclus' spirit get to the afterlife or something in the end?

-This is more of a personal taste gripe but it has that writing style I loathe where the prose feels less like a story and more like an attempt to string together Deep Beautiful Hard Hitting Poetic Lines that will look great as excerpts on booktok (might predate booktok but same vibe). It's all very Pretty and Haunting and Deep but feels devoid of real substance.

I really like The Iliad and The Odyssey in of themselves. They're fascinating historical texts that give a window into how 8th century BC Greeks told their stories, saw their world, interpreted their ancestors, etc. And genuinely I think these texts have 'good' characters, there's a lot of complexity and humanity to it.

WRT the Iliad- all of the main Achaeans are pretty fascinating, the one singular part where Briseis Gets To Talk and laments her situation is great, Achilles fantasizing that all of the Trojans AND the Achaeans die so he and Patroclus alone can have the glory of conquering Troy (wild), Achilles asking to embrace Patroclus' shade and reaching out for him but it's immaterial (and the shade being sucked back underground with a 'squeak' (the squeak kinda gets me it's disturbing and sad)), Hecuba talking about wanting to tear out Achilles' liver and eat it in a (taboo, exceptioally pointed) expression of rage and grief for his mutilation of her son's corpse, just one tiny line where the enslaved women performing ritual wailing for their dead captors are described as using it as an outlet to 'grieve for their own troubles' is heartrending, etc. A lot of grappling with anger and grief and the inevitability of death, a lot of groundwork laid for characters that could be very interesting when expanded upon in the framework of a conventional novel.

And Song Of Achilles really doesn't do much with all that. I know a lot of my gripes here are kind of just "It's different from the Iliad", I would have thought of it as mostly mediocre and forgettable rather than infuriating if it wasn't a retelling (and I DEFINITELY have strong biases here). But I think the ways in which it is different are less just a product of a retelling (of course there's going to be omissions and differences) and more a complete and utter disinterest in vast majority of its own subject matter, to the book's detriment. I think a retelling has a point when it EXPANDS on the source, or provides a NEW ANGLE to the source. This book doesn't Really do either, it just shaves off the complexity of its source material, renders the characters into a really boring archetype of a gay relationship, and gives very little else. Its content boils down to a middling tragic romance that has been inserted into the hollowed out defleshed skeleton of the Iliad.

Bottom line: I definitely would not be as mad about it if I wasn't familiar with the source material but I think it's fair to expect a retelling to Engage with/expand on its source, and I also think it's weak purely on its own merits. This book was set up to disappoint Me specifically.

Draconic Charts are a way of seeing subtle influences on your natal chart planets that may not be picked up in any other part of your astrological analysis.

Draconic Charts show the natal chart with the natal north node set to 00 Aries. To do this, you take the North Node in the natal chart and you drag it around the chart to 00 Aries. Every thing about the chart remains the same except for the signs and degrees of the planets. They change relative to their position to the North Node. For example, if your North Node is at 4 Virgo and your Sun is at 8 Virgo, your Sun is four degrees after your North Node. In your Draconic Chart, your Draconic Sun is at 4 Aries - 4 degrees after your North Node, which has been set to 00 Aries for the draconic chart.

The new signs and positions of your natal planets show an underlying influence on that planet that is there for you entire life. For example, if your natal sun is in Taurus and your draconic Sun is in Aries, you are a Taurus Sun with a draconic Aries influence. That Aries influence may be appear in other aspects of your chart (for example Mars in aspect to your Sun or planets in Aries in aspect to your Sun), or it may be the only Aries influence on your sun in your chart. As another example, if your Moon is in Aquarius but your draconic Moon is in Pisces, you are an Aquarius Moon with a draconic Pisces influence, which again may or may not be reflected in other aspects of your chart.

So if you have wondered why you are more impulsive than your Taurus Sun suggests, the answer may be you have a draconic Aries Sun. If you are more emotional and compassionate than your Aquarius Moon would suggest, the answer may be that you have a draconic Pisces Moon. I find it fascinating to look at those underlying influences and see how they affect the natal chart.

The other area where draconic influences come into play is in synastry, the astrology of relationships. Ties from one person's draconic chart to another person's natal chart, or ties between two people's draconic charts, can give strong feelings for each other that do not show up in the normal natal chart to natal chart synastry analysis.

Edit: If your North Node is near 00 Aries in your natal chart (for example at 28 Pisces or 3 Aries) then things will not change much in your draconic chart. The further away your North Node is from 00 Aries, the more things will change in your draconic chart compared to your natal chart.

You may find that your draconic influences are the same as your natal planets, and that is fine - it just means that you have a double dose of the same influence in your astrology, instead of being split between two different influences (natal and draconic).

If we look at those two charts together, we can see the following influences on Prince William:

Natal Sun = Cancer, Draconic Sun = Pisces

Natal Moon = Cancer, Draconic Moon - Pisces

The Sun and Moon, the Lights, are the two most important planets in your chart. They give information about who you are on a base level, the fundamentals of your being (the Sun) and about your emotional being, your ancestry, your comfort spot, your nurturing parent (the Moon). Prince William has both his Sun and Moon in Cancer, which makes him very family orientated (among other aspects of Cancer). However, his Draconic Sun and Moon are both in Pisces, the sign of compassion and caring for others (among other aspects). This will be part of the reason for his project to end homelessness and heal the environment - he has a universal compassion for humanity built into the very foundations of his being and his emotional nature via that Pisces influence (supported by a very strong Neptune in his natal chart).

Natal Saturn in Libra, Draconic Saturn in Cancer (Prince William's Draconic Saturn in Cancer is conjunct his natal Sun and Moon in Cancer. Among other things, this Saturn-Sun aspect complements his wife's Capricorn Sun - he will understand her on a fundamental level).

Natal Uranus in Sagittarius, Draconic Uranus in Leo (Leo gives a personal charisma and ability to be in the spotlight to Sagittarian Uranus, which likes people generally everyway, and in the 11th house this gives him a personal warmth and charisma when interacting with groups of people e.g. on walkabouts, awarding medals, on tours, attending charity events, etc)

Can we talk about the importance of Nico and Will being the sun and the STAR

Because I’m pretty sure I’ve seen people use them as a sun and moon couple before this book and the thing is people don’t understand the inherit underlying toxicity of the sun and moon dynamic. Because all of the moons light comes from the sun. Now this is not to say that sun/moon isn’t cute or can’t work out but there’s always going to be someone in the relationship who feels less than or is viewed as such or is reliant on the other.

But the sun and star are both heaveanly bodies that create their own light. They both shine brightly but the star just has a little bit more distance which means people don’t always notice it. Which is so perfect for Nico because he shines so brightly, he can see such beauty in life according to Will there’s no brighter light than Nico Di Angelo. But Nico has a penchant for putting distance between himself and others. People don’t always see his light but once they do they realize how beautiful it is.

Will bring a sun is obvious but I can say more on it. Will’s light is so obvious because he’s close to people. He’s always there helping, and being cheery. But Will struggles to see the same beauty that Nico can which could parallel the way that the bigger seeming sun is smaller than a lot of stars.

Peace and reassurance

With our moon in Gemini 11° in the 11th house - We were meant to share wisdom with one another and find contentment in our mental rapport. Even though we are two close individuals, we still have different thoughts and feelings. I am an extrovert and Sun is more of an introvert. I can be a chatterbox around people that allow me to express myself without judgement and I feel I have been able to just listen more and wait for my turn in our friendship, I have learned a lot! Another thing is that often we have trouble putting our thoughts into words but after explaining what is bothering us, we are able to understand the underlying issue. Our Mercury being at 7° makes it a safe space for us to be fair and balanced when we have a conversation. With our Neptune and Uranus in the 6th house. Sun and I are also able to find fun in mundane tasks by tackling them together. We also understand when one or the other person is busy or wants alone time. We can find ways to spend time with each other while still keeping our independence. We are both spontaneous people and don't like to do tedious things (I remember one time we were both procrastinating at the same time and we kept telling each other we'd get to it😭??? Also we both agreed to learn a language together and we never started fr 💀 I blame Sun though, tsk tsk 😒🤧)

Conflict and weaknesses

With our Aries Saturn in the 9th house 29°, we are forced to push each other to pursue what we are most afraid of. To face what makes us most uncomfortable. Interesting enough is that Saturn is the planet of karma and our Saturn is at a karmic degree. Sun and I both lack assertiveness in some areas. We go to each other for advice and seem to find the strength to resolve the issue, but it could be a problem if we over rely on the other person to always give us that confidence boost. We are brave together, but we also must learn to fight our own battles. Aquarius Mars in the 6th house 10° could make us do things that are unpredictable, which makes us inconsistent in regards to projects. We are better off just sharing our thoughts and gaining creative inspiration from one another. Then achieve our goals independently rather than doing things together. We could get aggravated at the other person for not being responsible enough (when really we could just both be irresponsible lol).

Food for thought

We are literally always hungry 😭. Sun has me randomly at times pick what she eats for a meal and whenever we watch variety tv shows together, I start snacking. Our Gemini Moon typically has us eat foods that are quick and convenient. We can talk about food a lot in general. Sun and I could like to eat foods together while traveling or eat foods from a foreign country/culture.

What sets us apart

With our Leo ascendant and Aquarius stellium. We visually stand out together! It can be obvious to others that we are different but that is what makes us unique. It's like when you wear two different socks. The patterns and colors are all mixed up but it still serves it's purpose by making your feet warm and cozy! I am reminded of Katie and Sadie from Total Drama Island. They were best friends that wore the same exact outfit and hairstyle but both of them obviously looked different, yet they were still the cutest pair!

What brings us together

With our Leo north node, we have similar destinies and felt magnetically drawn to one another. After reading Sun's PAC about what my life as a celebrity would be like, I dmed her asking if we could exchange readings. Sun stated that my energy felt different from other people who approached, so she agreed. We grew close ever since that day and we have been able to find our path to success / adulthood a little easier. We are able to get past some of our insecurities and feel more confident in each other's presence. Sun and I are also both college students with similar majors as well (Communication / PR). With our North node and Alma asteroid in the first house, our souls recognized each other. It was destined for us to meet again in this lifetime. There was a inner knowing, even though we couldn't explain what it was and that we both just had a good feeling about each other. With our composite south node in the 7th house, we have a strong platonic bond. We can trust and depend on each other, but we have to be careful of creating a pattern of codependency in our friendship. Our Alma asteroid being in Virgo 7° manifests as the importance of needing a routine with one another. If we were to ever go a long time without contact, it could possibly make us feel lost. Acts of service and quality time could be a big theme in our friendship. We would be successful as work partners as well, but there is a need to achieve tasks independently and to make sure to give each other space when needed. Libra Jupiter in the 2nd house 3° is a good indication of our ability to attract abundance naturally.

So we can all agree that the Sun and Moon fandom is dying right?

There is a quiz at the end of the post.

Me myself and many others have left. Whether it is due to the rising toxicity of the show or the fans. At this point it is simply a creative backdrop. Something you take ideas off of instead of something that you enjoy and turn into a AU. And at this point if you have it as an AU. You feel as if you need to somehow say it's separated or is only based off of the good old days.

The fact that there is a difference between the good old days and what has happened is sad. I will admit I haven't been here forever. I wasn't here since the beginning. I wasn't watching the episodes upload as I watched. But I did do my best to watch every single lore post I can find. Anything that wasn't a standard gaming episode. So I can at least say that I tried to follow the story.

And to put it slightly the story has gone sour. Characters have stopped feeling right in their actions. Underlying messages have started to get toxic. Many bad guys have gotten so characterized that them being bad guys doesn't feel right. Are good characters no matter how developed they get either regress due to plot convenience. Or have died and basically reset the storyline.

The story seems stuck. There's some gems here and there but it seems like they can't figure out the next story action. And even if they do, it gets so much hate from the fandom that it struggles to continue. It feels like they continuously reset and reset to try and find a story that the fans will enjoy. It's not working unfortunately. There have been many retcons due to this. And there has also been many splits.

And this is not even mentioning the toxicity of the fandom itself at this point. That's basically split itself in two and the other will hate the other. This happened most obviously with the Moon X Solar argument. Where you either enjoy it or you don't enjoy it. It has caused a multiple splits because of differences in morals. It's just created a hostile environment between fans.

And I'm not making this post a point fingers at the whole argument. I've researched it and I know why some people believe it's okay. Whether it's because they believe solar never really wanted to be a part of the family. Or the simple understanding that by most laws, incest between adopted family members is okay. I understand that people have reasons to like it. It doesn't mean that these reasons are shared though. It doesn't mean that the moral implications of that relationship don't affect some people. And neither side is willing to come to a mutual agreement.

This is also not bringing up the fact that the whole villain versus hero argument is starting to become even more split. Sun, Moon, Lunar, Earth, Solar are both currently on the good side. While Eclipse, Blood Moon, and a couple others are still obviously on the bad guy side. But Eclipse and Blood moon have started to become more and more relatable. People can no longer look at those characters and just imagine the villainy part. Especially when the heroes decide to mock the suffering that they did to the villains in the first place.

That is my personal scare between the fandom right now. I can't look at eclipse and not deny that Moon's actions were the reason of it. I can't look at moon and justify years of abuse. Whether it was old moon or new moon at this point. I can't stand and justify treating blood moon as a villain has tested its limit. I can't deny that blood moons actions are more so based on need than actual want. And the creators forcing that idea backfired enough that they barely have him as a character anymore.

There is a split between people who want to support moon and sun with all their actions. There is a split between people who think solar should be considered a part of the family or not. There is a lack of storylines that don't have half of the community hating upon it. There is a lack of feeling an actual tug of conflict in the stories due to the villains being so understandable. There is a hostility between the fan base because of all of these.

I put out a poll a long time ago. Asking people why they basically watched the show anymore. The general consensus was they were just watching the show because they needed to. Because they felt obligated to follow the plot wherever it went. I feel like the fan base that is following the show for their own enjoyment is slowly disappearing. And this is not talking about the amount of people that have straight out left due to all the reasons above.

Whether it is the show's fault for not being able to supply the engaging store anymore that people can enjoy. Or it is the fandom for it's toxic split between the morals of adoption incest, or the feeling that the villain shouldn't be getting as much hate as they do. The show was currently dying on both sides honestly. And the only reason many are continuing to watch the show, is the hope that it will get better, and the need to supply their AUs off of it.

How many of your friends have left because of these reasons? How many of them have had the conundrum of feeling like they need to stay because leaving feels like a betrayal to others or themselves.

How many of us are only holding because of nostalgia?

It feels like nowadays people either choose to blindly follow due to an overall support or question constantly if they should. It feels as if artists that give the show their thumbnails now, are the only people that do stuff happily with it. A conspiracy part of my brain wants to say that's only because not supporting it would mean they wouldn't have there art publicly endorsed. But that's only conspiracy and no fact.

The show has lost its splendor. As of now it's really only a character backdrop to some. A list of events and ideas that you could pull and twist to fit something kinder or better. It's like as if we're using the Sun and Moon like Robin Hood. Stripping it down to the basics just so we can share our twist of the same tale. I have heard many times from people that AUs are more enjoyable right now than actual Canon. I myself have said for multiple stories that they do not follow past backup eclipses death. Which in my opinion is when the show really started to go downhill.

I'm going to ask this question again. Because I feel as if it is important for people who read this post to see it under a newer light.

I will note. If you reblog this post just to argue that it's not dying, That solar X moon isn't incest, that characters like eclipse and blood moon should be treated as the absolute villains they are, and seeking Sun and Moon are evil is dumb. I will not respond. To be honest I will not respond to many reblogs of this. I'm simply putting this information out earnestly as my opinion. I am not here to hate on the artists. I am not here to hate on your difference in opinion. I am not here to say that the show writers are dumb or money monsters. This is my opinion. I wrote a tanka referencing the latest Dune movie:

「太陽が黒色ですね」ってジエディ・プライム上の愛の告白

Translation:

"The sun is black, isn't it" - a love confession on Giedi Prime

Context: an often-referenced way of confessing one's love in Japan in an indirect manner is by saying 月が綺麗ですね (the moon is beautiful, isn't?). Renowned novelist Natsume Soseki is said to have once suggested this phrase as a Japanese translation for the English phrase "I love you", but that origin appears to be more of an urban legend than truth.

Anyway, in the second Dune film, we see a black sun from the perspective of the Harkonnen homeplanet Giedi Prime. As far as I am aware, it's left somewhat vague why exactly the sun is black--perhaps the sun itself isn't black and something in the atmosphere modifies its colour--but director Denis Villeneuve has said in an interview he thought it would be interesting "if instead of revealing colors, the sunlight was killing [people on Giedi Prime] and creating a very eerie black and white world".

An interesting decision indeed. It adds to the cold and cruel ambience of Giedi Prime. Underlying this tanka, then, is on the one hand the idea that even on such a planet feelings of love may blossom. But without things that spark beauty and happiness, it is the sun's pitch blackness that serves as a conduit for indirect love confessions.

As an added note: I have seen both ジエディ・プライム and ジェディ・���ライム as katakana transliterations for Giedi Prime. I'm not sure if there's an official one, but I went with the former option for the sake of the tanka's moraic 5-7-5-7-7 rhythm.

In the Himalayas, where the murmurs of the Jhelum weave through the lush valley, Kashmir has been a muse of poets and painters. Its name invokes both enchantment and anguish, a duality reflected in Led Zeppelin’s iconic song, Kashmir. Written by Jimmy Page and Robert Plant with contributions from John Bonham over a period of 3 years with lyrics dating to 1973, the song featured on their sixth studio album Physical Graffiti in 1975. This timeless ode transcends physical geography, yet its mystical allure inadvertently mirrors the very soul of Kashmir.

It would seem rather bold, and even a little farcical, to compare Led Zeppelin’s ‘Kashmir’ with Kashmir valley. Yet tracing how the song born in the deserts of Morocco finds an uncanny kinship with a paradise mired in its own metaphoric deserts spurns curiosity.

Verse 1: Oh, let the sun beat down upon my face

If the sun could speak, it might recount the shadows it has witnessed in Kashmir. Led Zeppelin’s yearning for the sun’s warmth feels alien to a valley where winters are not just meteorological but political, where warmth is siphoned by fear that has reduced its famed sunlight to a pale glow that barely pierces the haze, casting a chilling pall over a land that once basked in idyllic harmony.

Chorus: I am a traveller of time and space

The stories in Kashmir are great works of fiction, sold with the finesse of the best of salesmen. Tourism hoardings show lakes as pristine and houseboats as inviting travellers to rediscover paradise. But the real travellers of time and space in Kashmir are not Instagram influencers but locals wandering in search of existence.

Governance in Kashmir functions on paradoxes - the claustrophobic presence contrary to the wide open landscapes. For every tourist sipping Kehwa on a Shikara, there is a youth piecing together the fragments of his shattered life. The spaces may be the same but the experiences are universes apart.

Bridge: My Shangri-La under the summer moon

Kashmir is Led Zeppelin’s Shangri-La, the mythical utopia nestled in towering peaks. Utopias are subjective, though. One man’s heaven is another man’s hell or purgatory. The beautiful valley becomes cruel irony for its denizens, who usually cannot savour its magnificence because it’s always reminding them of its perils.

All the rhetoric about Kashmir sounds almost hollow. Promises ring as empty as the deserted streets. In this dystopian Shangri-La, progress is measured not by prosperity but by publicity. New malls are inaugurated. Old memories erased.

Verse 2: Oh, father of the four winds, fill my sails

In Kashmir, the winds carry stories instead of sails. The winds carry the whispered prayers of a generation that has known nothing more than nothingness. The winds also carry the spirit of the people. Art adorns the walls. Poetry and music flourish. And, youth navigate censored spaces to tell their stories. Under relentless hopelessness, the spirit does not break.

Coda: When I am on my way, when I see

How many moons away is Kashmir from its road? This is a haunting refrain that never ceases ringing around the region.

When one beholds, Led Zeppelin puts forth a dreamy vision. What do we see when we behold Kashmir? A crown jewel? A problematic periphery? A land to own? People to love? All such answers decide the region’s dismal destinies.

The Unfinished Symphony

Led Zeppelin’s Kashmir ends with a sweeping, open conclusion, just like the region itself: untamed and mysterious. The music reflects the Valley’s breathtaking panorama. However, the underlying tensions and the lived reality of its people is another story. Rober Plant’s vocals and Jimmy Page’s guitar lines echo the paradox of its beauty and hopelessness. Kashmiris are left to wring out their purgatory alone, their voices buried in the cacophony.

Encore

Perhaps Led Zeppelin’s Kashmir should be the anthem adopted for the Valley. It is after all an attention-grabbing song. The majestic orchestration could go with the snowy passes and evocative lyrics could narrate the daily grind of Kashmiri life. If nothing else, it would be a fitting irony for a region where beauty is wrecked.

Led Zeppelin’s Kashmir is a call to rise above the mundane. It is a hymn to transcendence. However, the valley it shares a name with is still waiting for its transcendence. We hear that some people call Hazrath Ali prophet. Where does this argument stem from and how should we answer these people?

This false belief was instigated by Ibn-i Saba. Ibn-i Saba, whose sole aim was to mar the belief of Muslims, knew well how to deceive people while handling his negative activities. Firstly, he tried to persuade some people saying Hazrath Ali was God; in places where he understood this would not be accepted he attributed prophethood to him; when this too would not receive approval, he claimed that the caliphate was the right of Hazrath Ali before anyone else, and that this right was cruelly taken from him.

If we pay attention, we see that these three claims contradict one another. And contradiction is invalid. In other words, God cannot be a prophet, and there is no caliphate in question for a prophet as well. Even this contradiction clearly shows that only treachery and mischief underlie this issue.

As is known, everything has a beginning and an end; likewise, the institution of prophethood that began with Prophet Adam ended with the last prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). God Almighty gave the Glorious Quran, the perfect one of the heavenly scriptures to Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), the perfect one of all and completed the institution of prophethood with the last Prophet (PBUH). From then on, no prophet will ever come again until the doomsday.

It is stated in the Quran that Prophet Muhammad is the last messenger:

O believers (know) that Muhammad is not the father of any man among you, but he is the Messenger of God and the Seal of the Prophets. God has full knowledge of everything. (Al-Ahzap Surah, 33:40)

In this verse, God proclaims both the prophethood of Muhammad (PBUH) by calling his name, and states that he is definitely the last prophet with the expression the Seal of the Prophets.

As is known, the prophets to whom a scripture was sent are called Rasul-messenger. In the verse, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is introduced as both Rasul-messenger, and as the last Nabi-Prophet. Thus, it is definitely announced that no prophet will come after him and that the door of prophethood was closed with him. In other words, Prophet Muhammad is the last prophet, as well as the last messenger; because every messenger is at the same time a prophet; but not every prophet is necessarily a messenger.

As is known, it is a farz-duty, obligation- on people appointed as prophet to announce this duty openly. This is a divine rule. All the prophets that came conformed to this rule fully and proclaimed their prophethood without fearing anyone. Some of them were thrown into fire, some were cut in half, some were exiled from their motherlands; but all of them performed the duty of announcement even at the cost of their lives.

As the previous prophets did, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) also started proclaiming his prophethood with the revelation of the first verse. He was not intimidated in the least by the enmity of his own tribe, did not value the promises that were made to discourage him from his cause and with these words he showed his perseverance in his cause, if they put the sun in my right hand and the moon in my left on condition that I abandoned this course, until God has made it victorious or I perish therein, I would not abandon it." As a prophet sent for the entire humanity, he did not hesitate to proclaim any verse to even his most violent enemies. He also wrote letters to all the emperors and kings and announced without hesitation that if they did not comply with him they would not reach salvation, and their properties, lives, states and nations would not be secure.

Now let us briefly examine the instigations of Ibn-i Saba who attributes divinity to Hazrath Ali and his followers:

Firstly, If Hazrath Ali was appointed as a prophet, he himself should have believed in this first and it would have been a farz on him to announce his prophethood. He never made such an announcement neither on paper nor by word of mouth; on the contrary, he got some of the people who made such claims killed and some he exiled.

When he was just a kid of ten years of age, he accepted that our prophet was the last prophet and for this end he made spiritual and material jihad and during his caliphate he applied the judgments of the Quran attentively. In brief, he worked on the way of God and His Messenger from his childhood to his death.

It is a baseless superstition to attribute prophethood to such a person.

God Almighty states, We have not sent you but to all humankind as a bearer of glad tidings (of prosperity for faith and righteousness) and a warner (against the consequences of misguidance). But most of humankind do not know (this, nor do they appreciate what a great blessing it is for them). (Saba Surah, 34:28)

God clearly says that the prophethood of Muhammad (PBUH) encompasses the entire humankind.

Another verse proclaiming his prophethood clearly: Muhammad is the Messenger of God; and those who are in his company are firm and unyielding against the unbelievers, and compassionate among themselves. You see them (constant in the Prayer) bowing down and prostrating. (Al-Fath Surah, 48:29)

In the beginning of the verse, God Himself witnesses the prophethood of Muhammad (PBUH). In other words, God Almighty with His Greatness proclaims, Muhammad is the Messenger of God. Which doubt or fake view can overshadow this witnessing?

For all these explicit statements of the Quran, it is open fallacy and groundless mischief to attribute prophethood to Hazrath Ali.
