حتى وإن بدت السماء بعيدة.

though the sky seem far away,

إن الذي فوق السماء قريب.

He who is above the sky is much closer.

فارفع يديك إلى الإله مُناجيًا.

raise your hands to God in a manner,

إن الجروح مع الدعاء تطيب.

verily all wounds with dua are healed.

Where is your remose for your sins? Until when will you harm yourself with your sins?

- Let that sink in for a moment.

May Allah forgive us all. Don't waste these blessed days of Ramadan.

The Dua of Musa (AS):

رَبِّ إِنِّي لِمَا أَنْزَلْتَ إِلَيَّ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَقِيرٌ

Rabbi inni lima anzalta ilayya min khairin faqir

‘My Lord, indeed I am, for whatever good You would send down to me, in need.’ (Surah Al-Qasas, 24)

The Dua of Yunus (AS):

لَّا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا أَنتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِين

La ilaha illa anta subhanaka inni kuntu minaz-zalimin

‘There is no god worthy of worship except You. Glory be to You! I have certainly done wrong.’ (Surah Al-Anbiya, 87)

The Dua of Nuh (AS):

رَبِّ أَنِّي مَغْلُوبٌ فَانْتَصِرْ

Rabbi inni maghlubun fan-tass-ssir

‘I am helpless, so help me!’ (Surah Al-Qamar, 10)

The Dua of Ayub (AS):

أَنِّي مَسَّنِيَ الضُّرُّ وَأَنْتَ أَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِينَ

Innee massaniyad durru wa Anta arhamur raahimeen

‘Indeed, I have been touched with adversity, and You are the Most Merciful of the merciful.’ (Surah Al-Anbiya, 83)

The Dua of Muhammad (SAW):

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ الْهَمِّ والْحُـزْنِ وَالْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ وَالْبُخْلِ وَالْجُبْنِ وَضَلَعِ الدَّيْنِ وَغَلَبَةِ الرِّجَالِ

Allaahumma ‘innee ‘a’oothu bika minal-hammi walhazani, wal’ajzi walkasali, walbukhli waljubni, wa dhala’id-dayni wa ghalabatir-rijaal.

‘O Allah, I take refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow, weakness and laziness, miserliness and cowardice, the burden of debts and from being overpowered by men.’ (Sunan an-Nasa’I 5449)

Indeed, Allāh showers His blessings upon the Prophet, and His angels pray for him. O believers! Invoke Allāh’s blessings upon him, and salute him with worthy greetings of peace.

[Sūrah al-ʾAḥzāb, Verse 56]

And when we ask from Allah swt, we should keep asking Him and not tire from repeating the same du’ā’s. Nothing is too big or small for Allah swt to give. He is al-Wahhab, the Ever Giving.

أزل الفخر في قلوبنا الذي يمنعنا من البحث عن رحمتك

Ya Allah, Bless us with humility. Remove the pride in our hearts that prevents us from seeking your mercy.

One day you will realize that prayer was better than sleep, but you slept. And reading the Quran was reassuring you, but you deserted it. And remembering Allah used to increase your day in blessing, but you were lazy. And seeking forgiveness was expanding your provisions but you ignored it. And the night prayer was reassuring your heart, but you left it. And the door of repentance is always open but you postponed it.

The problem is you think you have time but once you realize how short life is or how much of the time you have wasted and how close you are to your death, you will never be the same again. ✨
