Continue praying even when you don't feel like it. Raise your hands up in Dua even when you feel you have no energy left, emotionally or spiritually. Push yourself to open the Quran though you feel helpless, dejected and broken.

For indeed, little drops of water make a mighty ocean. These small efforts will increase your good deeds in unimaginable ways. It's these small efforts that will help remove the rust from your heart, erase your sins, and strengthen your fight against the Shaytan. So, keep going. 🤍

Salah is one of the most important things in a Muslim’s life.

If you think you’re the worst human to ever be on this earth, if you do drugs, smoke, sin in general one thing you should never leave is your salah.

Pray as much as you can even 1,2 or 3 (though you should aim/ intend to pray the five obligatory prayers as they are obligatory, May Allah help us with fulfilling our obligations, Ameen) Pray it late but never leave it. Once you cut your connection with Allah swt that’s when your life serves no purpose and it’s just flesh with an empty soul.

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet (ﷺ) said,

“Whoever fasted the month of Ramadan out of sincere Faith (i.e. belief) and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his past sins will be forgiven, and whoever stood for the prayers in the night of Qadr out of sincere Faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven.”

Narrated Abu Hurairah

That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "There are three for whom it is a right upon Allah to help him: The Mujahid in the cause of Allah, the Mukatab who intends to fulfil (the Kitabah), and the one getting married who intends chastity."

Yesterday by the tawfeeq of Allah, I shared the Arabic idiom of ❛the coolness of the eyes❜, as well as an aayah that uses this phrase. Did you know that this wording is also found in a hadith? Rasulullah salla Allahu 'alayhi wa sallam (ﷺ) said:

🌟 ❛The coolness of my eyes is in the salaah.❜ [Sunan an-Nasa’i 3940 | Graded fair]

Those who have a clean heart are more sensitive than others — it really hurts when someone treats or speaks to them in a foul manner. The enemies of Rasulullah ﷺ hurled foul language, curses, and allegations every chance they got. Their hatred and aggressiveness would escalate, and this was the storm that he ﷺ endured throughout his lifetime. But when he entered salaah… that was where he found relief. The coolness of his eyes was placed in salaah, when he stood before Allah, when he made long sujood to his Rabb.

It completely changes our perspective of what salaah should truly mean to us.

But if our focus is only on the dunya, we will never be able to find this tranquillity in our salaah.

May Allah make us akhirah-oriented, and place the coolness of our eyes in salaah.

When you want something, turn to Allah. When you don't want something, turn to Allah. The point is everything you want and don't want can only be given and taken by Allah. Your hardships, your blessings, your pain and your happiness, can only be granted and removed by the will of Allah. So when you need the confusion to disappear, and when you need to understand the what's and the why's, turn to Allah. Turn to Allah and He will soothe your heart and comfort your soul, in ways that no one else can even try.

وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ : ( إِنَّ الْكَافِرَ إِذَا عَمِلَ حَسَنَةً أُطْعِمَ بِهَا طُعْمَةً مِنَ الدُّنْيَا ، وَأَمَّا الْمُؤْمِنُ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى يَدَّخِرُ لَهُ حَسَنَاتِهِ فِي الْآخِرَةِ ، وَيُعْقِبُهُ رِزْقًا فِي الدُّنْيَا عَلَى طَاعَتِهِ ) . أَجْمَعَ الْ��ُلَمَاءُ عَلَى أَنَّ الْكَافِرَ الَّذِي مَاتَ عَلَى كُفْرِهِ لَا ثَوَابَ لَهُ فِي الْآخِرَةِ ، وَلَا يُجَازَى فِيهَا بِشَيْءٍ مِنْ عَمَلِهِ فِي الدُّنْيَا ، مُتَقَرِّبًا إِلَى اللَّهِ تَعَالَى ، وَصَرَّحَ فِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ بِأَنْ يُطْعَمَ فِي الدُّنْيَا بِمَا عَمِلَهُ مِنَ الْحَسَنَاتِ ، أَيْ : بِمَا فَعَلَهُ مُتَقَرِّبًا بِهِ إِلَى اللَّهِ تَعَالَى مِمَّا لَا يَفْتَقِرُ صِحَّتُهُ إِلَى النِّيَّةِ ، كَصِلَةِ الرَّحِمِ وَالصَّدَقَةِ وَالْعِتْقِ وَالضِّيَافَةِ وَتَسْهِيلِ الْخَيْرَاتِ وَنَحْوِهَا ، وَأَمَّا الْمُؤْمِنُ فَيُدَّخَرُ لَهُ حَسَنَاتُهُ وَثَوَابُ أَعْمَالِهِ إِلَى الْآخِرَةِ ، وَيُجْزَى بِهَا مَعَ ذَلِكَ أَيْضًا فِي الدُّنْيَا ، وَلَا مَانِعَ مِنْ جَزَائِهِ بِهَا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ ، وَقَدْ وَرَدَ الشَّرْعُ بِهِ فَيَجِبُ اعْتِقَادُهُ .

قَوْلُهُ : ( إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى لَا يَظْلِمُ مُؤْمِنًا حَسَنَةً ) مَعْنَاهُ : لَا يَتْرُكَ مُجَازَاتِهِ بِشَيْءٍ مِنْ حَسَنَاتِهِ ، وَالظُّلْمُ يُطْلَقُ بِمَعْنَى النَّقْصِ وَحَقِيقَةُ الظُّلْمِ مُسْتَحِيلَةٌ مِنَ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى ، كَمَا سَبَقَ بَيَانُهُ ، ( وَمَعْنَى أَفْضَى إِلَى الْآخِرَةِ ) صَارَ إِلَيْهَا ، وَأَمَّا إِذَا فَعَلَ الْكَافِرُ مِثْلَ هَذِهِ الْحَسَنَاتِ ثُمَّ أَسْلَمَ فَإِنَّهُ يُثَابُ عَلَيْهَا فِي الْآخِرَةِ عَلَى الْمَذْهَبِ الصَّحِيحِ ، وَقَدْ سَبَقَتِ الْمَسْأَلَةُ فِي كِتَابِ الْإِيمَانِ . شرح النووي على مسلم (https://hadithportal.com/index.php?show=hadith&h_id=5151&uid=0&sharh=17&book=31&bab_id=1245)

If a disbeliever does an act of obedience, then Allah, the Almighty, will provide him with sustenance in this world in return for it. As for the believer, if he does an act of obedience, then Allah will save the reward to give it to him in the Hereafter as well as reward him for his obedience in this world. Allah never misses rewarding the believer for his good deeds; He gives him reward in this world as well as the next. As to the disbeliever, he is only rewarded in this world for his good deeds, and when the Day of Judgment comes, he will have no good deeds to be rewarded for. Scholars have agreed that if the disbeliever dies upon disbelief, then he will have no reward in the Hereafter, and he will not be rewarded for any of his good deeds performed in this world. This Hadīth clearly mentioned that the disbeliever will be fed and rewarded in this world for what he did of good deeds which do not require a sound intention to be accepted, such as maintaining ties of kinship, charity, freeing a slave, hosting guests, and similar deeds. However, if the disbeliever does such good deeds then enters Islam, then he will be rewarded for them in the Hereafter, as indicated in the Hadīth: "You embraced Islam with all the previous good deeds you had performed.”

عن أنس بن مالك، قال: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ "‏ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يَظْلِمُ مُؤْمِنًا حَسَنَةً يُعْطَى بِهَا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَيُجْزَى بِهَا فِي الآخِرَةِ وَأَمَّا الْكَافِرُ فَيُطْعَمُ بِحَسَنَاتِ مَا عَمِلَ بِهَا لِلَّهِ فِي الدُّنْيَا حَتَّى إِذَا أَفْضَى إِلَى الآخِرَةِ لَمْ تَكُنْ لَهُ حَسَنَةٌ يُجْزَى بِهَا ‏"‏.‏ صحيح مسلم حديث ٢٨٠٨

Anas b. Malik reported that Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said: "Verily, Allah does not treat a believer unjustly in regard to his virtues. He would confer upon him (His blessing) in this world and would give him reward in the Hereafter. And as regards a non-believer, he would be made to taste the reward (of virtue in this world) what he has done for himself so much that when it would be the Hereafter, he would find no virtue for which he should be rewarded." يُبيِّنُ النبيُّ صلَّى اللهُ عليه وسلَّم في هذا الحديث عَظيمَ عَدلِ اللهِ سُبحانَه وأنَّه لا يَظلِمُ النَّاسَ شيئًا، وأنَّ اللهَ لا يَظلِمُ مُؤمنًا حَسنةً، أي: لا يَنقُصُ ثَوابَ حَسنةٍ عَمِلَها، فإنَّه يُعطى بِها في الدُّنيا، بأنْ يُوَسِّعَ عليه رِزقَه ويُرَغِّدَ عَيْشَه في الدُّنيا، مَع ما يُدَّخَرُ له في الآخِرَةِ؛ فَهُو أَحوَجُ ما يَكونُ لِثوابِ تِلك الحَسنةِ. وأمَّا الكافِرُ فيُطعَمُ بِحسناتِ ما عَمِلَ بِها للهِ في الدُّنيا، أي: بِما فَعَلَه مُتقرِّبًا بِه إلى اللهِ تَعالى مِمَّا لا تفتَقِرُ صِحَّتُه إلى النِّيَّةِ كصِلةِ الأَرحامِ والصَّدقةِ والضِّيافَةِ، فإنَّه لا يُقبَلُ منه؛ لأنَّه لا يَتوَفَّرُ لديه شَرْطُ قَبولِ العَمَلِ وهُو الإيمانُ باللهِ، ول��نَّ اللهَ لا يَظلِمُه عَمَلَه فيُكافِئَه عليه في الدُّنيا، فَيُطْعِمَه به حتَّى إذا ��َفْضى إلى الآخِرَةِ لم يَكُنْ له حَسنةٌ يُجْزَى بِها. في الحديثِ: فَضلُ الإيمانِ، والتَّحذيرُ منَ الشِّركِ. https://dorar.net/hadith/sharh/20648

DUA ON LAYATUL QADR

Aisha r.a reported: I said, “O Messenger of Allah, if I know which night is the Night of Decree, what should I say during it?” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Say:

اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّي

Allahumma innaka 'afuwwun tuhibbul-'afwa, fa'fu 'anni

O Allah, You are pardoning. You love to forgive, so forgive me.”

– Sunan Ibn Majah 3850, Sunan al-Tirmidhī 3513, Sahih
