also when it comes to veilguard i didnt understand the way they framed the griffon choice at the end. because during your missions with davrin they make note of assan's ability to understand pain and ease suffering of animals. and you're asked if this means that people are able to change their nature, because griffons are raised as soldiers. i thought we were talking about solas during this conversations so i said "its not that deep" but then you actually get to the choice and you're asked if the griffons "are able to change their nature to be protectors of the forest" or if they should stay property of the wardens. bro what "nature" this isn't a "in their nature" question

repeat after me: details a creator has stated about their characters/stories/etc for a piece of media outside of said media is not canon.

the creators saying x thing about y character on social media/in an interview/etc can potentially give you insight on their intentions/ideas behind the characters development/personality/etc, and you can accept it as true to your views on the character- but its still not canon if its not in the actual source material.

the term youre looking for is "word of god." in fandom, thats used to describe the creators interpretation of the media. some will accept this into their own view of canon, and some wont. either way, it is not strictly canon, and should not be treated like an asbolute fact of the character/story (or whatever else the information was stated about).

and also remember, subtext and things "read between the lines" can and will always be interpreted differently across the fandom. no matter how "obvious" a detail about a character seems to you from subtext, other people will still garner something different, because thats the point of art. everyone will resonate differently with art and come away with different ideas about it for a multitude of reasons.

sure, some people may be forgetting something or outright ignoring something thats blatantly stated, but when it comes to subtext any interpretation is valid. even if it contradicts whatever the creators may say. art is a mix of both what the creator tries to tell in their story and what the viewer interprets from it. you have to accept that sometimes these will not always align, and thats perfectly okay.

(and also, dont forget something in one official universe doesnt mean its canon in all official universes of a piece of media- even if one is meant to be the same story in a different media form (like an anime adaptation of a manga) or a reboot).

I find the possibility of a victarion vs euron greyjoybowl to be as boring and uninspired as cleganebowl. mostly because the people pushing for it are usually dudebros who project onto victarion and wish to see him restore the "honor" of his wounded masculinity through displays of brute violence.

I feel like in the world of HP lovecraft, amongst the big names like cthulhu, azathoth, yog-sothoth and the infamous nyarlathotep.No one even mention Nodens-the Lord of the great abyss. Cuz that dude sole purpose is to piss off Nyarlathotep. He’s a good elder god for this sole reason (even in ancient britain he depicted as a healing god).

Let me explain

As an Elder God. Nodens' behavior is generally quite kind towards humans, but he only acts this way when he is at odds with Nyarlathotep. Of course, because Dream World is a battlefield and Nyarlathotep and Nodens' war is a proxy war. That's when Nyarlathotep tried every way to stop the travelers from searching for the Kadath desert, Nodens was willing to find every way to protect them, that's how he indirectly angered Nyarlathotep without directly confronting him. Nodens' servants are the Nightgaunts. According to some sources in the Canon, Nodens enjoys hunting animals in places like the Underworld, his targets include Shantak, Hunting Horror and moon beasts.

•Proxy war

When humanity began to spread and explore every corner of the Earth. The Great Ones eventually sought new settlements in Dreamland, including the fortress of Kadath. Nodens himself has quite good relationships with the Grand Masters, and he sometimes monitors Kadath's surroundings to prevent humans from threatening them. Nyarlathotep himself is the same, but Nyarlathotep's main job in Dreamland is to enforce the will of the blind fool and the other supreme foreign gods of the center. Filled with vulgar complaints, with the demon king's will, Nyarlathotep wished for the gods of earth to be protected from human encroachment.

In general, the goals of Nyarlathotep and Nodens are the same. But that didn't mean Nodens had to be friendly with the foreign gods, so he continuously committed acts of sabotage against Nyarlathotep at DreamWorld. And Nyarlathotep felt uncomfortable with Nodens, which was quoted by Randolph Carter when he spoke to Nyarlathotep at Kadath. Nodens is considered a counterpart to Nyarlathotep in Lovecraft's works, but he is not friendly towards humans, he only saves them and is kind to them when he wants to oppose Nyarlathotep, inciting the wrath of Nyarlathotep. those who are considered God... an Outer God.

going through and organizing that best friends + oc vs miro + kip/penelope feud document and 2020 was so long ago that it was before orange even had where is my mind as his theme. he just had generic rock. wild

this feud also goes from october 2020 to march 2021. trent gets injured halfway through in december so, sure. but woof does it drag, man. it also doesn't really get interesting* until the butler stuff comes into play at the beginning of 2021, but by that time its been almost 3 months of this so its a bit harder to appreciate.

it does have a good payoff in the end. but maybe i'll recommend just starting from the dynamite diamond ring match onward lol

*there is nothing more interesting than seeing chuck in turmoil.
