i didn't rlly like the ruby's mother reveal because I get how they're doing the whole "oh this woman who was made out to be really important turns out to be just some ordinary gal" thing but we have done that before, probably a good couple of times, and I wanted something interesting... just felt anticlimactic rlly
disappointing cuz I thought the first part of the 2 parter was rlly good but the 2nd part just didn't rlly satisfy what I was expecting idk

Sorry, but Phineas and Ferb going to college as adults is soooo fake. 1) What the fuck is college gonna teach them? 2) They're both WAY too restless to study for four years or more for ONE degree. They spent a single afternoon building to the MOON. FOUR YEARS might as well be an ETERNITY. Spending that in SCHOOL?? WASTE OF TIME.
#phineas and ferb#p&f fandom pls stop doing this in fanfics it's so untrue#they both clearly dropped out of high school and immediately got their GEDs anyway#not as impressive as baljeet who got his first degree in middle school—#but y'know phineas and ferb waited until freshman year because of the social opportunities#then they spend their twenties solving world hunger and ending war everywhere and not only saving endangered species but bringing a few BACK#phineas uses a teleporter to visit isabella at her college whenever he wants#and he and ferb have a multi-terrain mobile home they share that has twenty stories and two pools on the inside#I've read so many fics that go the same route 'Act Your Age' went#where real life + adulthood bog down on the boys#and that SUCKS#it's realistic sure. life gets harder when you grow up. but so what??#this show has ALWAYS been about taking the universe in your hands and moulding it to whatever you want#no the boys won't go to college they won't separate or give up on their big ideas or pay taxes#it's THEIR world and everyone is better for having lived in it

I cannot survive this day lol
#it’s only noon and I need to go to bed immediately and start over#our one triumph today: at the dentist he had his first truly epic blowout - we’re talking poop all up his back inside his onesie#no changing table in the bathroom#and my mom had taken the car so no access to the more elaborate changing setup in the car#so I had to change him on the floor using the three remaining wipes in the pack#while he screamed like he was being tortured and kicked poop everywhere#but we did it we made it and then he chugged a bottle of milk like a soldier who’d just survived his first skirmish with the enemy#I have to take ruthie to the vet in a couple hours but she’s started acting fine today so I’m afraid I’ll be wasting a huge amount of money#meanwhile Pip has started vomiting everywhere#but I think he’s just stressed about baby/sudden change#naturally though I had to have a huge crying jag in the bathroom about the fact of his mortality#anyway friends I’m hanging in there#I need to just simplify simplify simplify#I will lie down for a bit now#then I will try to walk the dogs so it’s out of the way#need to leave by 2:30 to get Ruthie in#and I can listen to a hockey podcast and feel more human on the way#then once that’s done I can just do nothing tonight if I need to#my mom is leaving around 4 for the evening but#I’ve mixed the formula and cleaned all the bottles so I think I can just like#hopefully lie around with the baby#the other thing I need to do is write my mom a thank you letter before she leaves#I just haven’t had the energy but maybe I can ask her to take the baby for an hour tomorrow#and sit outside somewhere and work on it#postpartum tag#today has just been a higher difficulty level lol but I’ll have other kinds of days too#all will be well

i hate spotify and whatever they've done with those "made for you" playlists like the daily mixes and artist / genre mixes in the last 1-2 years or so because they're basically the same songs by the same artists just in a slightly different order everyday (not to even mention that a few years ago i actually used to discover new music through these playlists but now it's like. 95% music that's already in my library and 5% random popular songs that spotify inserts everywhere. even when it doesn't fit the vibe of the playlist)
#also it's so obvious that it periodically pushes a few certain songs/artists super hard#while for some usually lesser known artists i could have been streaming them nonstop for weeks to have like 1 or 2 of their songs finally#start appearing on those made for you playlists#meanwhile i listen to the first half of a certain popular song ONCE and suddenly that song is everywhere on single one of those playlists??#like i remember when i got into jo it took literally MONTHS for the spotify algorithm to finally catch up on the fact that i listen to them#and to start to generate playlists/recommendations based on that. but god forbid i get into a new pop star and theyre everywhere immediately#like i love them too ok!!!!! i love my pop stars!!! but the same 2 of their songs don't need to be everywhere on my playlists lol#like if you have to push certain artists super hard then the least you could do is have some VARIETY in their songs you put on my playlists#but no!!!!#ik complaining about this is pointless bc we all know why they do this and it's money#afaik spotify has been firing the ppl responsible for creating accurate recommendations for users sooo#and i know i can create my own playlists!!!! i have plenty of them!!!! i just used to love easily discovering new stuff through the daily#mixes etc and then adding them to my collection!!! let me be a hater in peace 😭

this fabric is evil but its sooooo soft and plush that i cant be too mad at it
#this was kind of an impulse project bc i needed to stop by the craft store anyways and wellllll there was a huge fabric sale going on#i was /gonna/ use fleece but then i saw this plush fur and i immediately knew itd be worth the pain of sewing it#(im handsewing everything bc i find that more fun For Some Reason and this is SO slippery and sheds so bad)#(and the pile is just short enough that trying to cut between the fur is impossible. theres fuzz everywhere!!!!)#but alas... only the best for fireflight#i did forget to get polyfill tho. so im rapidly approaching a point where ill have to stop till i get some#my things
