On Sunday evening, president-elect Donald Trump fired off a post on Truth Social asking, presumably rhetorically, whether President Joe Biden’s pardon of his son Hunter would apply to “the J-6 Hostages, who have now been imprisoned for years.”
Trump routinely invoked the “J-6 Hostages”—rioters who participated in the Capitol insurrection four years ago—throughout his presidential campaign, and vowed to free them if elected.
But on Sunday night, these words, which were Trump’s first mention of the January 6 prisoners since the election, carried particular significance. Trump had just announced that he plans to nominate staunch loyalist and January 6 sympathizer Kash Patel to run the FBI. (Current FBI director Christopher Wray’s term ends in 2027; whether Trump intends to fire him or expects him to resign isn’t clear.) Patel, a former federal prosecutor who worked in a variety of national security roles during Trump’s first term, is an author of the children’s book series “The Plot Against the King,” which is about Trump’s “Deep State” enemies, and sells pro-Trump merchandise under the brand name K$H.
“I think January 6 individuals, those in jail, those in the legal pipeline, will be ecstatic over this,” says Denver Riggleman, a former Republican congressman from Virginia who served as an adviser to the Select Committee investigating the events of January 6. “They already bought into criminal activity on January 6, now they have someone who validates it, even excuses it. I think it makes them very happy.”
Patel, who was chief of staff to acting defense secretary Christopher Miller on January 6, 2021, has pushed the baseless “fedsurrection” conspiracy theory, which claims that undercover FBI agents instigated the Capitol riot with the goal of smearing the MAGA movement.
Patel helped produce “Justice for All,” a single that features the “J6 Prison Choir” singing the national anthem (a solemn nightly tradition for imprisoned rioters), mixed with Trump reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. The song became a mainstay of Trump’s campaign rallies. Patel has also proposed a “full-fledged investigation” into the January 6 Select Committee. He has even helped January 6ers via his nonprofit the Kash Foundation, which provides, among other things, legal defense funds to help “defamed American citizens.” Patel has also flirted with QAnon, defending its slogan “WWG1WGA” (where we go one, we go all), praising QAnon supporters, and even appearing on the high-profile QAnon podcast X22 Report.
Riggleman believes that Patel is Trump’s most dangerous selection to lead a major agency, on account of his blind loyalty to the former president and his public displays of interest in conspiracy theories. “I think it’s his worst pick, even worse than Matt Gaetz,” he says. “Kash Patel is simply a foot soldier for Trump.”
For the sprawling community of January 6 activists—a smorgasbord of MAGA personalities, family members of jailed rioters, and rioters who’ve completed their sentences—Trump’s nomination of Patel is an indication that retribution is coming. And part of that retribution isn’t just about granting pardons and clemency to the rioters: It’s about going after those that put them behind bars in the first place.
Since at least the 1990s and the Waco siege, the anti-government movement in America has viewed the FBI as its enemy. Trump’s first presidency and the Covid-19 pandemic took anti-government animus mainstream. That animus was turbocharged by the investigations and prosecutions of January 6-ers, as well as by the federal investigations of Trump. And the narrative that both Trump and January 6 defendants are “political prisoners” of a corrupt and tyrannical “Biden Regime,” hunted down by his personal Gestapo in FBI uniforms, took hold.
The MAGA media ecosystem and network of J6 activists believe that Patel, if he takes the reins of the FBI, will root out corruption, expose all sorts of nefarious plots designed to damage Trump, and prove that J6 was a false flag.
“The FBI deserves Kash Patel,” wrote Suzzanne Monk, a prominent J6 advocate, on X. “They earned the ass whoopin he's bringing.” “That Kash Patel pick put the traitors in our government on notice,” wrote MAGA commentators The Hodge Twins on X.
“How many FBI agents were present for J6?” wrote Representative Mike Collins from Georgia, on X. “We’re about to find out.”
Representative Clay Higgins, a Republican from Louisiana, chimed in via a post that addressed Wray directly. “Mr Wray. Remain close to DC. Your presence will be commanded,” Higgins wrote on X. “In this Holiest of seasons, as you box up your mementos of oppression, may visions of the thousands of American J6 families you’ve destroyed dance through your head.”
Philip Anderson, an accused rioter facing federal and misdemeanor charges for January 6, said on X that they’ll have to wait and see whether Patel and Trump put their money where their mouths are. “We aren’t taking you people seriously until you end the J6 prosecutions on Day One.”
So far, beyond his Truth Social post, Trump hasn’t said much about whether he plans to make good on his promises to grant pardons and clemency to January 6ers. Some hopeful defendants have sought to delay their proceedings or even drop charges entirely. Some lawyers are unsure whether Trump would pursue a blanket pardon for everyone involved in January 6, or grant pardons and clemency selectively based on, for example, the types of crimes people are accused of.
Meanwhile, Riggleman suggests that Patel faces an uphill, if not impossible, battle to get confirmed as the head of the FBI. Patel’s former colleagues from various points in his career have questioned his competence to lead the agency. “If there’s anyone that’s sane, I don’t think the Senate will confirm him,” said Riggleman. “But then again, there are senators who are very afraid of Donald Trump and their own reelection prospects.”

Seeing you accuse people that I know, who I've been following for several years, of being psyops is actually counterproductive in whatever it is you're trying to accomplish because it makes it glaringly obvious that you're just blindly accusing everyone that disagrees with you of being a Russian propaganda bot.
And of course it’s from an anon . Look at how it’s phrased . “Several people “ Even though I have only accused the obvious Russian troll https://www.tumblr.com/decolonize-the-left who the absolute same playbook as the 2016 trolls and a random account who pretended go on a causal rant while at the same time putting in a dozens of tags with every possible variation to gain maximum coverage .
So it’s obvious that the person behind this anon is the Russian troll https://www.tumblr.com/decolonize-the-left left or probably one of his small accounts . They are trying desperately to go viral like they did in 2016 so they are deadly terrified of being exposed as the Trump agents they obviously are . So don’t fall for it . Here is a good way to spot them . If account is :
Heavily advocating for yoj to throw your vote away ones their party or to abstain from voting to “reach democrats a lesson “
Deny VERIFIED facts like the fact that the 2016 elections was so close that if their party voters had voted for Hillary in several key states she would have easily won . Same with the Gore Bush election which was one of the close sets in history and Bush won by 537 votes
They often pretend to be people of color and post a ton of progressive posts so they fit in ( Trump supporters have started copying this tactic as well . We had several republicans caught pretending to be black people )
Tags .They love posting dozens of tags to get maximum engagement while trying to pretend their posts are natural and just normal venting
They refuse to acknowledge facts , they constantly evade questions and try to redirect towards emotional responses . They don’t want you to think about how much worse things are going to be under Trump . They just don’t you to be pissed that democrats are not perfect candidates and discourage you from voting There is a huge chance they Russians trolls or undercover maga . Don’t fall for it . Don’t respond , don’t try to educate them or talk to them unless it’s to expose them for what they . They want engagement. Report them and block them

Don Moynihan at Can We Still Govern?: At the Democratic National Convention, speaker after speaker sought to remind viewers of Project 2025. Jim Clyburn referred to it as “Jim Crow 2.0.” Cory Booker mocked it was “Project 1825” and “Project 1925.” Michigan Senator Mallory McMorrow was one of many speakers who brought an enlarged version of the Mandate for Leadership document published by the Heritage Foundation that serves as the backbone to Project 2025. Trump’s campaign has falsely claimed that Project 2025 is dead, and in mailers to voters he has doubled down on his efforts to distance himself from it. (Note to Forbes and other media outlets who confuse repeating Trump’s lies with reporting: this is what you get — becoming a tool in his disinformation efforts).
Of course, Project 2025 very much remains alive and the most relevant way to understand how Trump would govern. At the convention, Tim Walz invoked Project 2025 when he said that “when somebody takes the time to draw up a playbook, they’re going to use it.” The comedian Kenan Thompson gave one of best summaries of the relationship between Trump and Project 2025:
[You know how when you download an app and there are hundreds of pages there that you don’t read. Its just the terms and conditions. And you just click agree, right? Well, these are the terms and conditions of a second Trump Presidency. You vote for him, you vote for all of this.]
Trump dislikes Project 2025 as a brand because it lays out a series of specifics about right wing policy goals, which, it turns out, are unpopular. There has been some schadenfreude in how Project 2025 has become baggage for the Trump campaign, and has in some ways backfired for the Heritage Foundation, who went from energetically promoting their ties to Trump to gingerly defending their efforts from Trump’s own campaign.
We got a glimpse about the scale and nature of these plans when some British undercover journalists performed a sting operation of Russ Vought. Vought is touted as a potential Chief of Staff in a second Trump administration. As a Trump official, he helped to cover up Trump’s withholding of arms to Ukraine, and aggressively pushed Trump’s plan to fire career civil servants. Out of office, he then complains about the weaponization of federal agencies without a trace of irony.
[...]
The Heritage Foundation been portrayed as the central player in Project 2025, deservedly so. But its role reflects a certain continuity of effort — it has been publishing Mandate for Leadership guides since Reagan — that understates the dramatic nature of the change that has taken place on the right. The Conservative Partnership Institute, which has played a less visible role in Project 2025, is more emblematic of the MAGAification of the conservative movement. A recent profile of CPI by Jonathan Blitzer in the New Yorker is eye-opening. CPI was created in 2017 by Jim DeMint, the Heritage Foundation leader who was pushed out for trashing Heritage’s reputation for credible research by making it more partisan and less serious. DeMint also aligned early with Trump, which some Heritage board members never forgave him for. CPI operates less like a think tank, where former Trump officials hang their hat, and more like a venture capital firm providing seed funding for MAGA-aligned organizations, as well as connections to other donors, and physical space to get a foothold in DC. These include:
Russ Vought’s Center for Renewing America
Stephen Miller’s America First Legal
The American Accountability Foundation, which ran attack campaigns against Biden nominees, and is currently compiling an enemies list of career civil servants
Cleta Mitchell’s Election Integrity Network. CPI had been deeply involved in election denial. It helped to organize efforts to disrupt the vote to confirm Biden’s election on January 6th. Mitchell a Secretary of CPI, was the lawyer who helped Trump with his call to Georgia officials asking them to fine more votes. She is organizing a network of legal challenges to block legitimate election outcomes this year.
The State Freedom Caucus Network, whose goal is to embed state versions of the House Freedom Caucus in every state
An API official said that in a speech at Mar-A-Lago: “Trump complained about his personnel. He said he had these bad generals, bad Cabinet secretaries. That was a big signal to the people there.” This is why there is such an intense focus on Schedule F, to fire civil servants, and building a pipeline of dedicated Trumpists as political appointees. Part of the function of CPI was to alter the incentives for Trump officials. A previous generation of conservative lawyers or other appointees might worry about their long-term career prospects for engaging in a little light treason. CPI has created an ecosystem existed to defend them (they have funded legal defenses for John Eastman, Peter Navarro, Mark Meadows and Jeffery Clark), to and to find them new roles after wrongdoing.
@Don Moynihan nails it: The “next phase” of Project 2025 contains plans we don’t even know about.

MAGA morons will say anything they can to deny that their people took part in a violent insurrection, despite simultaneously threatening to start a "civil war" every week, and talking about "taking back" the country.
If the people at J6 were "antifa", why does Trump want to pardon them?
If they were undercover feds, why are MAGA calling them "political prisoners", and insisting they were just "tourists"?
If they were democrats, why would they try to overturn an election they won?
Why did so many people seek presidential pardons ahead of time?
This is just ridiculous.

Chapter 13
Taglsit:@thegreatdragonfruta @zablife @babayaga67 @wandawiccan60
Tumblr media
Eva is better now that she has their sweet Rosalba in her arms.
Things have been better, too good if you ask her.
Even if Eva has not had an episode in months, she acts as if it will all come back the second she drops her guard.
But she is better, happy and Luca is relieved to know the worst is over.
Perhaps in a year or so they’ll break the tie and have another baby. This one born in Birmingham or London while they rule the empire his father lost thanks to Angel’s lack of ambition.
“What happened to the nanny?” he asks when he finds his maga changing into a different dress after their sweet Rosina threw up on the previous one.
They were running late for their dinner reservation, and while he did not mind getting a quick look at what he’d be taking off her when they got back, Luca needed to confirm why Carmen is gone.
“I fired her.” she answered as she shimmied into a burgundy velvet dress that matches the shade of lipstick she wears and the red roses holding her low bun.
“Why?” he asks as his show ended when his wife slid the diamond encrusted dagger into the black leather sheath on her garter.
Luca knew the answer lay in Carmen being young and pretty and suggested by the Family who wanted to remind Eva what her place is.
Spinietta was growing tired of Eva’s influence and Luca’s growing power.
Unlike the rest of the consiglieri he can’t replace them by voting in a replacement.
If they get started on taking England, Luca won’t have to worry about anyone giving his maga the kiss of death.
“I do not share, something Carmen did not understand.” She gave him a wicked smile.
Tumblr media
Dinner had been perfect, sure there had been no wine due to the presence of undercover cops, but what did they need wine when Luca is enough to make her feel drunk.
It’s been two months since Rosalba was born, but it feels like ages ago when she tries to remember when the last fucked.
“We’ll ruin the sofa, Luca.” She wouldn’t mind ruining the velvet sofa, but she does hate having to stop because Leonardito heard noises in the living room.
At least in the bedroom they can lock the door.
“I’ll buy you another one if you’re a good witch for me, mia vita.” He guides her on top of him, not at all surprised to find her garter hooks undone and her as willing as always.
“What if I want to be a bad witch tonight?” she asked coyly as she slowly undid the rest of his shirt buttons and got rid of his vest, Luca loves being in control and yet she’s never heard him complain when she takes the reigns.
Besides, she needs to remind him he is hers and hers alone.
“I’ll get you a whole fucking new set of couches then.”
Tumblr media
It is barely midnight when the encore is interrupted not by a six-year-old boy nor a two-month-old infant, but by a telephone call.
“Let it ring, Eva. ‘s not important.” He said that and in the next heartbeat his wife lost all interest in letting him know she owned him in this life and the next.
“It’s your father. Somethings happened to your family.” Her warm skin goes cold with goosebumps under his touch.
And sure enough, Luca picks up the telephone and hears the last thing he had thought he would ever hear.
“Angel is dead. They killed him, those fucking gypsies killed him!” his father is stone cold on the line, and yet Luca knew Vincente Changretta had been crying even if nothing betrayed the steady voice vowing fire and brimstone on the Shelby Family. “We are leaving for New York once he is buried. I know you loved your brother, but I cannot lose you too.”
“I am so sorry, Luca. If I had known this would’ve happened, I would have not let them leave.” Eva holds him as he cries for the first time in years.
This time, she is the one holding him together.
This time, he is the one broken to pieces.
“I will kill the bastardo who did this, an eye for an eye, a life for a life.” He vowed vengeance and she didn’t dissuade him from it.
“You will avenge him; I have seen it. John Shelby and his family will pay for what they did to your brother.”
A week later, only Audrey Changretta arrives in New York.
His father killed by the orders of Thomas Shelby; Audrey escaped because his brothers had the mercy he had not.
Shelby claims one of them killed his wife so he killed Angel in his hospital bed, Audrey says they never sent an associate to his party and if they had had, they would have gone for John Shelby never the puttana Shelby married.
Who’s to say Shelby didn’t frame them to wipe us out? A man like that is never satisfied with what he has, Audrey said, and Eva stared at her in horror.
Eva who knows what they do and accepts it, and yet cannot stomach all the blood he will spill in this vendetta.
“The Shelbys will pay for this.” Luca vows to his stepmother and put on the signet ring his father wore until he died.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH
I've been putting this off for a couple weeks, but I have to talk about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.
First off, yes I am a Swifty. And yes, I am a man. But that doesn't matter in the big picture. She is a talented, successful, beautiful woman who has amassed a legion of fans with her music and stage presence. I don't think that anything about her is manufactured or fake. She is a real, genuine person and cares about her craft and the people who love her.
I am a huge football fan as well. And when Travis Kelce entered the picture, it was a perfect match in that spectrum. Watching them interact with each other for the past 6 months has been a delight. I am a romantic at heart and their relationship has moved me like a breath of fresh air. The PDA they displayed at the beginning of their romance was inspiring and I couldn't help comparing it to Kelce scoring a touchdown and Taylor captivating large, enthusiastic crowds with her performances.
They seem to be totally into each other. And just like following a football game or screaming in adoration at Taylor during her concert; it's epic.
But the past couple weeks, the insane, hardline conservatism that Magas, Fox News and the general insanity of the GOP has displayed is sickening to me. So let me sort this out. The GOP thinks that Taylor is an undercover operative working with Biden to gain votes for the upcoming election. Wow. I didn't think anybody from that party was intelligent or creative enough to come up with that kind of scenario. It is just bonkers. (The GOP party should change their name to the Bonkers party.) I guess haters are going to hate, no matter which hat they wear.
But despite all this insanity, I am going to thoroughly enjoy the upcoming Super Bowl. I am going to enjoy, win or lose, Travis and Taylor's love story. I am going to lose myself in the idea of love and how high it can elevate all of us.
And maybe within that, I can find a little for the Bonkers party as well.
Go Chiefs!

"MAGAs against celebrity: Trump's fellows think Taylor Swift is an undercover spy"
Found this in the newspaper today and thought about you.
I kinda get 1920s J. Edgar Hoover vibes when female undercover spys could easily take an alter ego as a jazz club singer. Taylor could play that. In a movie. Yes.
But actually thinking she's a spy? This is not only rude against Taylor, it's dangerous misinformation.
Taylor is just Taylor :)
lmao those people are absolute lunatics 😭
that concept would make a fun music video or short film for taylor though
also why do trump supporters make that their entire personality 🙃

Trump Blasts Biden Over ‘J6 Grandma’ Rebecca Lavrenz Guilty Verdict.
FBI Orchestrated Jan 6 Riots ‘to Entrap MAGA Americans,’ Explains Congress’ Homeland Security Chief.
President Donald J. Trump has blasted the Biden regime on his Truth Social account over the case of 71-year-old grandmother and great-grandmother Rebecca Lavrenz, who was found guilty on four counts on Thursday after praying inside the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021. Lavrenz faces three years in jail and up to $250,000 in fines.
“Rebecca Lavrez, also known as the ‘J6 Praying Grandma,’ has been unfairly targeted by Crooked Joe Biden’s DOJ, and now faces up to 1 YEAR in prison for peacefully walking around the Capitol, and praying for our Failing Nation on January 6th!” Trump wrote.
Lavrenz clarified on the War Room show on Friday that her lawyers believe she faces up to three years in jail, given the charges. Her sentencing is on August 12th, though she is expected to appeal the verdict.
“Rebecca is a 72-year-old Grandmother and Small Business Owner from Colorado, and now she is one of Joe Biden’s J6 HOSTAGES!!!” Trump added, concluding: “Crooked Joe Biden spends more time prosecuting Patriots like Rebecca, AND ME, than Violent Criminals, Thugs, Murderers, and ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS who are destroying our Country. THIS IS WHAT WE ARE UP AGAINST. MAGA2024!”
Rep. Clay Higgins (R-LA), who chairs the Homeland Security Committee’s border subcommittee, is claiming Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agents entrapped the U.S. Capitol rioters on January 6, 2021. The four-term Louisana Republican, speaking with the Implicit Bias podcast, said he reached his conclusion after conducting his own investigation into the matter.
According to Higgins, the protestors were incited to violence by “ghost buses” filled with FBI agent provocateurs. He added that when the House of Representatives finishes with the process of releasing the security tapes from that day, the federal prosecution of the January 6 rioters will fall apart,.
“The whole thing was a nefarious agenda to entrap MAGA Americans,” the Congressman said. He added: “The original seeds of riotous or illegal or occupation behavior amongst these groups were planted by the FBI-embedded agents in those groups.”
While there has been no conclusive evidence that the FBI instigated the January 6 riot, several law enforcement officials have admitted that federal agents were among the crowd on that day. The National Pulse reported in August of last year that former Capitol Hill Police Chief Steven Sund had told Tucker Carlson in an unaired Fox News interview that “there was a fair amount of law enforcement” in the January 6 crowd. Sund said in the days after the riot, he discovered that the FBI had at least 18 undercover agents in the crowd.
In May of last year, an FBI whistleblower told the House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government that the bureau withheld further CCTV footage from the riot over fears of outing “undercover” agents present in the crowd. In January 2022, FBI Executive Assistant Director Jill Sanborn refused to deny the FBI’s involvement in the January 6 violence.

Pastor Hyung-Jin “Sean” Moon, the leader of the controversial Rod of Iron Ministries, is now spreading far-right rhetoric via a series of wild low-budget music videos.
By Tess Owen
...
Another six-minute song called “Fruit Ninja,” Moon raps, “Did you hear about this group called LGTBQ/You may have heard them in your school or even your church pew/They are telling our kids they can switch to any gender/Taking hormones slicing organs like they’re playing Fruit Ninja.”
Other tracks promote a grab bag of other far-right conspiracy theories. “Suddenly Dead” promotes the widely debunked claim that people who received the COVID-19 vaccine have been dropping dead. “Red Eye Patriot” promotes the baseless “Fedsurrection” conspiracy, which claims undercover federal agents were behind Jan. 6 with the goal of smearing Trump supporters. “They call us conspiracy theorists and domestic terrorists/They did the sedition and blamed it on you and me,” Moon raps.
...
Moon’s church, which imagines the “Rod of Iron” in the Bible’s Book of Revelations as a modern-day AR-15 and Jesus Christ as a manufacturer of assault weapons, is an example of an extremist group that, despite being somewhat insular and fringe, operates in lockstep with the broader far-right and GOP when it comes to fighting the culture war du jour.
...
In late 2020, fighting “political satanism” meant contesting the results of the presidential election. Moon and other senior members of the church were at the Capitol on Jan. 6 (though there’s no evidence to suggest they went inside).

14yo is too late, it should be at lile 10yo. Tired of queers thinking that they are superior to het and cis ppl, of being so egocentric that thibk everyone wants to fuck them and that they "convert" het ppl by they mere presence. Thinking everyone is pansexual and wants to fuck all the times is fuck up and not different to living under witch hunt mentality and conspiracy crap. Queers are replacing the "everyone is a potential terrorist/heretic/reptilian overlord" with "everyone is pansexual trans enby allosexual and hypersexual that wants to fuck 24/7 365 days AND probably wants to fuck me" is beyond wrong. That some trans ppl are beginning to make the same narratives that some cis gay and lesbians about how they can "make" cis het ppl to fuck them and "convert them" to be queers is terrible. Do you see how is predatory narrative? How is like hearing the most staunchly evangelical repressed abusive asshole from some bs usa city from 1700s during witch hunt? "Everyone is a devil worshiper and wants to lurk me to fuck in the forest, I'm so well adjusted and sane". "Everyone is a terrorist/Other undercover and want to fuck me bc they want to obtain green card and live like the True Democracy of the American Dream (tm)". Bitch, no. Queers are being fascists af and as obsessed with sex like a repressed perverted proudest evangelical asshole in place of fighting for the cis het and the queers to have a house to be safe and exist in peace so they don't jerk themselves to the capitalist consumerist evangelical usa view of other people that are not a carbon copy of them. Queers are being as consumerist in a cannibalistic capitalist patriarcal way than a regular het cis maga white guy. And this crap are spread to the rest of the world.
ngl I really think we need to like. start sitting people down when they turn 14 and just let them know in a totally non-judgemental way what bisexuality is and also just add that most cis and straight people do not want to secretly have sex with or marry people of the same gender or become the opposite gender, and so don't like sit on this for 20 years thinking all men secretly want to fuck other dudes or everyone would be a woman if it were possible and the rest of us are just better at suppressing it than you are. cuz between those guys and the "Utah made me gay" guy I'm just starting to worry about this specific kind of deep closet thought process.

We’re only one week into the first criminal trial of Donald Trump, yet he and his MAGA allies are already intervening to identify and drive off the jury anyone they think could pose a risk to the former president. At Fox News, host Jesse Watters has launched attacks on the jurors, saying at one point that any juror who says they can be unbiased in the case is a liar, and citing Trump’s legal team as having uncovered potential jurors who were “undercover activists.” Trump himself quickly amplified Watters’ remarks (and as Lawrence O’Donnell noted, partially altering Watters’ quote) on Truth Social — an action that risks violating Judge Juan Merchan’s gag order prohibiting attacks on jurors, potential witnesses and other people related to the case. A prosecutor in the case reportedly called his remark disturbing while saying that Trump did, in fact, violate the gag order.   None of this has stopped Watters, who continued attacking the jury Thursday evening after it was fully seated. Steve Bannon, set to face trial himself later in the year before Merchan over the “We Build The Wall” scheme, cited Watters’ remarks as a reason that Trump’s team should move for an immediate mistrial. Watters has gone further than merely making general complaints about jurors; his efforts may have contributed to a juror leaving the trial entirely. On Wednesday, Watters called out “juror number 2,” describing extensive details about her work and personal life. By the next morning, the juror noted in court, her friends and family seemingly had figured out she was a member of the jury, and she withdrew from the trial as a result. [...] But the core issue here is that Trump and his media allies don’t believe that they should have to be subject to the same legal system as the rest of us. Instead, there’s a clear and concerted effort by MAGA forces to use media pressure to give Trump more preferential treatment, and to drive off any juror they believe poses a risk to Trump. That’s why Fox Corp. personality Clay Travis is happy to publicly urge the former president’s supporters to “do everything you can” to get on the jury and acquit Trump, regardless of the evidence at hand. This coordinated attempt to use chaos to undermine public confidence in Trump’s trial should be understood as part and parcel of Trump and his supporters’ attack on democracy — and their media allies are fully on board.  [...] At the heart of what Watters and Bannon are saying is that Trump deserves special treatment because of his political following. Without getting into the minutiae of jury selection in New York state, their claims are preposterous.
John Whitehouse for MSNBC.com on the MAGA media's attacks on the People of New York v. Trump jury selection (04.22.2024).
In a column on MSNBC.com, MMFA news director Jon Whitehouse exposes the MAGA media's jury tainting strategies in the jury selection for the People of New York v. Trump election interference/business record falsification criminal trial.

We last spoke to Amanda about going undercover with MAGA in February 2022: this time around, we talked about the Trump campaign’s composition and organisation, its historical background, appeal and eventual success, and the meaning of another four years of The Donald as The President.
