my favorite marauders fics are those that imagine these messy gay wizards raising harry. like...james and reg as harry's parents. yes. barty babysitting harry and having no fucking clue how to entertain a five year old. yes. remus affectionally sharing with harry his extensive vinyl collection. hell yes. sirius taking an angsty harry to get his first piercing (and, later, provide teenage harry's first joint - hand-rolled obv). yessss.

Professor Remus HCs

Firstly this is an Everyone Lives AU. He is Uncle Moony, and Padfoot IS HIS CLASS PET.

He always pairs Harry and Draco together because he only sees little James and little Regulus, and he wants one timeline where they work out.

Plus he knows he HAS to separate Harry and Ron or nothing will get done for anyone.

Remus pretends to not see any of Harry’s and Ron’s pranks. He acts completely oblivious when McGonagall asks about his knowledge on it.

He helps Lee commentate on the quidditch games but kept getting in trouble for cursing at children.

Padfoot is obviously the class pet, but he only comes in when he’s in a bad mental state. All the pets and attention he gets makes him feel better.

Harry has gotten ALL of Gryffindor to call Remus Professor Moony instead of Professor Lupin, but Harry calls him Uncle Moony. Even if it gets him house points taken away
