3 exercises, 3 supersets, 3 killer bodyweight movement’s that will destroy your triceps. Who said that you always need dumbbells and barbells for everything you do in the gym to achieve results? Of course this is not my complete triceps routine and what I always like to do is to finish my arm workout with some bodyweight exercises so I feel a great pump at the end and I will empty the tank of glycogen. ⁣ 3 different tools for 3 different purposes, a bench, a dip machine and a trx is what you need. You go between each one of them without resting in between but only at the end of the round. The idea is to go to complete failure everytime so is not really necessary to count each rep as long as you feel exhausted and sore at the end so it’s totally ok to stop after few reps. #tricepsdips Functional anatomy The triceps (primarily the lateral and medial heads), sternal and clavicular heads of the pectoralis major, anterior deltoid, scapulothoracic, and core musculature, all work in accord during the movement. The scapulothoracic muscles collectively stabilize the scapulae during the movement, especially as the descent is commenced. The core resists any movement, specifically lateral sway, which occurs right off the bat in lesser experienced lifters and weaker individuals or late in the set when fatigue begins to set in. The pectoralis and anterior deltoids provide the initial push at the bottom while the triceps, along with the aconeus, take over the movement when the elbow approaches 90 degrees of flexion, helping to lock the elbows out to complete the movement. parallel dips have been demonised, arguing that they destroy the shoulder and elbow joints. While there’s some validity to the argument because parallel dips aren’t advised for individuals such as throwing athletes, those with anterior shoulder instability, and pre-existing elbow pain. However, they shouldn’t be entirely steered clear of, especially by healthy lifters and athletes. #Repost @pheasyque (@get_repost) ・・・ 🔴3 PUSH-UP VARIATIONS🔴 - ✅ There are alot of push-up variations depending on the muscles you wanna hit. - Keeping a 75 degree angle with your arms, will increase the pec engagement (decreasing the tricep’s one), just like when performing a bench press, while decreasing its angle, will increase the triceps’ one (by decreasing the chest activation). Basically, the closer you get to the torso with your arms, the more you’re going to engage your triceps, while moving outwards will result in chest activation & then injury zone in case you get too wide with the angle. - Bottom line: don’t go any further than 75 degree on your arm angle: besides reducing the muscles’ engagement, you’ll simply end up hurting either your elbows, shoulders or wrists.. or all of them. 🤷🏻‍♂️ #pushups #push-up #chestworkout #chestday #tricepsworkout #tricepsdips #tricepsday #tricepsfordays #bodybulding #physique #workout #workoutroutine #workoutworld
