[ID: a piece of digital art depicting Luz, Willow, Amity and Vee from the owl house at Luz's quinceñera. The piece takes place outside the owl house at night with the characters all dancing. Willow's dress is blue with yellow and pink flowers as decoration. Luz's outfit is based on the good witch azura with a white and purple colour scheme. Amity wears a pink dress shirt and a dark blue skirt with transparent fabric both on the skirt and acting as the sleeves. Vee wears a yellow dress with white trim on the bottom. Light glyphs float in the air, the dancefloor lights the scene from below, and Hooty extends across the background. End ID]
on today's episode of "pieces I put way too much work into realistically!". Since it's unlikely we'll get a quinceñera for Luz at this stage of the show, I wanted to draw a cute scene of it, which slowly turned into posing and lighting practice
(Small disclaimer: I'm not a part of a culture that does quinceñeras! I hope that there's no glaringly inaccurate details here. As far as I know there isn't hard and fast rules for the dresses or dance floor? so hopefully everything here is plausible. Feel free to let me know if there's any egregious errors here. There's some doodles under the cut that are slightly more detailed, so same goes for those)
[ID: black and white digital doodles of owl house characters at Luz's quinceñera. The first doodle shows luz, Gus, Hunter and king, and is labeled "Gus, king & hunter = chambelands". The next shows willow, Vee, and Lilith with Luz and is labeled "Lilith, Willow and Vee = damas". There's a doodle of amity where's she's labeled "escort". There's a small full body doodle of Luz in a suit labeled "she gets a costume change!". The last doodle is Luz and hunter dancing together, labeled "Luz + hunter sibling dance". The background is purple. End ID]

Recently picked up The Owl House and I haven't been able to STOP WATCHING IT SINCE (I'm back in the building -). So I made an OC while binging the series. Their name is Azazel (they/he/she) and I love them hehehe. Anyways, I made this screenedit of them cause yes.
For context: they're an Oracle teacher at Hexside (and a councilor off the books) that is very passionate about their teaching and students well-beings. So they are prolly giving a student (Amity) some lip about how they don't need to overwork themselves and all that.

Love the parallels between these two. Hunter who only had a fake staff until Flapjack and Luz who only had glyphs until Stringbean. Both struggling the first time they get a real staff.

i hate the fact that i actually like the remix of Character Dheela that Pritam just did for Shehzada bc i loathe everything else around that film but. the new beat. it's pressing a button in my brain and i'm sitting here like a rat in a lab experiment telling them to keep going

College Hockey Rafe…

Who was aimlessly scrolling his fyp until he landed on an edit of himself. He double-tapped the screen, liking the fancam on his burner account. His page gets a little more curated, tailored to his current fixation: himself.
The edits were great: viral song after viral song, thirst trap after thirst trap. All of the comments were the same, praise, hate, horny thoughts. All of the captions from the editors were vanilla. “Go Blue.” “First Edit after a Week.” “Everybody needs a Captain Like This.”
But then, one caught his eye. He watched the edit play out: “The Box” by Roddy Rich. It was his song – the song that played after every goal.

Edit for my own viewing pleasure atp He smiled at his screen, watching it repeatedly, reading through the comments while people praised the editor.
“She suckin’ on dick, no hands with it.” The song alone had him smirking to himself. That, paired with the handle, puckbunnyae02. Out of all the numbers, it was his. He quickly shared the edit tohs main account. Switching over to do a little digging.

He watched the next edit.
@puckbunnyae02: I’ll never get tired of these game-day fits.
Rafe felt slightly jealous as he watched a velocity edit of his teammate walking into the arena. Rafe went to his closet, pushing his basic suits aside, choosing something navy for the next night, draping it on the back of the chain, and laying out his best gold watch and chain.
He strolled back to the bed, glancing at his phone for a TikTok notification. Nothing. He pulled up your page again, going to the comments of the original video and adding one himself.
@rafecam2: nice 🙂
“Fuck,” he muttered to himself almost instantly as he did some mental math, cringing at the time between the original like and new comment getting second-hand embarrassment for himself. What if she thinks I’ve been watchin’ this edit for the last 20 minutes? He sat there anxiously, biting at his nail, debating whether to delete.

I can't believe that all of my theories for The Hidden Moon turned out to be true. Finally! My love for ghost stories is paying off!
Khen and his friends were dead all along, and Mas was the one seeing ghosts. And just by being with Mas Khen is draining him of his life (because he's got to sustain himself somehow).
All that's missing now is the reincarnated lovers ending but it looks like we'll be getting that next week as well.
Also, I didn't expect the scene with Bing and Toh finding their own bodies to hit me this hard. It's not even so much about them holding hands in death*, it's about To grieving for what they were and what they lost (and never got to have in the first place - but I'd like to believe that reincarnation will solve that too 🙏).
*There was something so sad and so human about it, though. It reminded me of Pompeii and the dozens of other places where humans sought shelter in each other in their moment of death.
The only plot twist that kind of surprised me was Kamphuan's ghost actually turning out to be Somphon but in hindsight it makes so much sense, and it was such a sad and bitter and beautiful set of flashbacks. I'm glad they gave them so much screen time.
And I know I've said this about a million times already but I'd really really love to read the novel - for the foreshadowing and symbology alone. I Feel You Linger in the Air was such a beautifully intricate and insightful novel (and so was the series - although lots of Jom's inner voice was of course lost in the transition) and I'm pretty sure that the Hidden Moon novel has a lot of the same ingredients because you can catch glimpses of it in the series too.
I'm not even disappointed anymore in some of the acting and editing choices because 1. I'm sentimental and easy to excite and 2. it's so obvious to me that everyone was really committed to creating the best series they could under the circumstances. And, really, if we listened to all the cynical twitter and mdl comments demanding that only the most perfect and high-budget and mainstream BL productions be made, then this (and a lot of other BLs) wouldn't exist and we'd be missing out on so many interesting and entertaining stories. 🙏
#the hidden moon#the hidden moon the series#spoilers#jane watches stuff#i don't think i'll be making gifs today because veilguard and also love in the air koi#but i'm open to gif requests because i love this show so much

Hello, TOH fandom, I am here once again to talk about accessibility!
[Image description: a screenshot of Lilith Clawthorne excitedly holding up a sign, which has been edited to read: "Image Descriptions for The Owl House (and why they matter)" in all caps. End description.]
Image descriptions, like the one I just used above, are exactly what it says on the tin: descriptions of the content of an image included to make the image maximally accessible.
Blind and low-vision people who use screen readers, people who rely on increased font size in-app or in-browser to read text, and neurodivergent people who have trouble interpreting elements of an image (for example, expression) all benefit from image descriptions.
And all images on the internet should be accessible regardless of topic, of course, but I've recently been trying to spread awareness in the context of The Owl House specifically because it's a show with multiple disabled and/or neurodivergent characters! In fact, Principal Bump is canonically low-vision with a service animal to help him in that regard — and I'd argue that making content about disabled characters accessible is extra, extra important!
[Image description: a screenshot of Principal Bump with his palisman Frewin removed from his head, revealing the scars over Bump's eyes. Frewin is in staff form, smiling, and Eda looks on from the side. End description.]
I know it's within this fandom's ability to make our posts about the finale as accessible as possible — and I know that because I've already seen a decent increase in described posts over the course of Season 3! I've seen more artist-described posts especially, which means a lot to me, and even more to a lot of other people, too <3
So, on that note, how to write an image description? It may seem intimidating, especially if describing someone else's post or fanart, but honestly, there's no definitive "rubric" to follow, just a list of general guidelines:
Indicate where the description starts and ends, with "end description" or "end ID".
Place the description immediately under the image, not under a read-more (this allows people who rely on IDs to experience the post the same way anyone else would, whereas read-mores are inconvenient, especially if OP changes their URL)
Minimize caps lock, italics, bold, and strikethrough, which can be hard to read and/or troublesome for screen readers. Generally, it's just best to transcribe in lowercase without particular effects, then indicate in the transcription if something is emphasized.
Likewise, don't put descriptions in Tumblr's special small text. It's difficult to read and inaccessible to many.
Don't make jokes or add commentary in IDs. If an image is meant to be humorous, obviously it's fine to phrase things in a way that tries to capture that, but it's not the place to add your own jokes, nor is it the place to declare subjective qualities like "this art is beautiful".
Descriptions can vary in length, but if one is getting long (if you're describing a comic, for example), then be sure to break it up with paragraph breaks.
Specifically, while I've heard that too many breaks (ie, every sentence) are annoying for some screen readers, long walls of text are conversely difficult for people with visual processing problems to parse. So, it's good to strike a balance.
With regards to length and amount of detail, it varies by personal preference! Most images don't need a whole small essay, but there's also value in describing certain small and symbolic details, subjective as it is.
Speaking of which, if you're the original artist, then you are automatically the expert on what you wanted the image to convey — the nuances of expression and body language, which details are important and which details are not — and for that reason, I love seeing artist-described works!
Below the cut: more on describing Owl House images specifically, on IDs versus alt text, and other possible questions!
When I transcribe TOH related posts, there's a few other guidelines I use, though these rules aren't as immediately important as the ones above. I generally start by indicating the type of image we're dealing with (a screenshot? fanart? a photo of a cosplay?), then mention what characters are depicted.
Unless I'm describing something long, like a comic, and relying on summarization, I usually mention which character designs we're dealing with (is Lilith in her dramatic black dress from Season 1? or is she in her low-battery shirt?). If it's fanart and the artist has come up with original outfits to put the characters in, I'll summarize those too.
(This is the other reason I love seeing artist-described works: because I, personally, am just kinda bad at describing fashion lol.)
Now, I'd like to go over some other questions that I've either encountered before, or anticipate:
What about alt text? Doesn't that accomplish the same purpose as image descriptions?
In a lot of senses, yes, so alt text is certainly much, much better than no description! However, remember that not every person relying on descriptions is necessarily someone who uses a screen reader every day, or uses a screen reader period. Some people do in fact read the descriptions themselves.
[Image description, identical to alt text: a screenshot of Luz Noceda from Season 2, smiling and blushing. End description.]
As you can see above, alt text takes an extra click (or tap) to access. In general, it's also prone to displaying walls of text, and — as far as I know — sometimes just doesn't show up if the Tumblr app isn't updated enough. (Not to mention that, in my opinion, making image descriptions visible to people who don't use them is an important part of spreading accessibility awareness in the first place!)
On the other hand, I've heard some people who benefit from descriptions say they actually prefer alt text, so I'm not going to come out and take a hard "absolutely no alt text ever under any circumstances" stance by any means. But, long story short, this is the reason that in my own posts, I almost always defer to in-post descriptions — the only exception might be if I'm writing a meta post, and functionally describing the images in the text anyway.
I've seen that sometimes you use [ ] brackets and sometimes you don't. Is there a reason?
Basically personal preference. I use brackets in posts like this when I have a lot of non-description writing, and want to make it extra clear where the description ends and the non-description begins. If I'm just captioning some fanart in a reblog and not adding any commentary, on the other hand, I leave off brackets because they're pretty redundant.
I'm nervous about describing images, but I still want to help make the fandom more accessible. Is there anything I can do?
Well, my first piece of advice would be to start small! Hell, start with just making sure you include a description whenever you post an image with just text, like a screenshot of a reply or someone's prev tags. You can build up little-by-little from there!
(My personal accessibility journey went from describing only tweet screenshots whose text I could just copy, to describing simple memes like cat pics, to deciding it was important to at least describe fanart of disabled characters like Eda, to finally describing almost every post I reblog. Trying to make that jump without any of the intermediate steps would've been overwhelming, but at this point, it all feels natural to me.)
But secondly, I would encourage showing some love to artists who describe their pieces! Queue up some described fanart, especially artist-described stuff, and help normalize it!
Get into the habit of checking the notes for descriptions (go to reblogs and filter by comments only) before you share! If someone describes your art, copy it into the original post, so the version of the thread reblogged directly from you will be accessible too! (And if you want to make some little tweaks, no one will be offended.)
You can also look into making your blog theme accessible, such as making sure the font size is large enough (and ideally sans serif, for readability). And if you feel more confident with describing audio, then writing transcripts of audio is always incredible as well, to help out those who are deaf, hard of hearing, or have auditory processing disorders!
I've heard that AI is able to describe images for screen readers pretty well these days. Are descriptions still important/going to remain important as the technology advances?
Well, let me say first that I'm very glad this technology exists, for sure! But I'm of the opinion that human described (and especially artist described) captions are, at least generally speaking, still going to be the gold standard for the foreseeable future — AI doesn't have the context we do for our art and our fandoms; it's much less likely than a fan of the show to pick up on what's an important or symbolic detail.
Are there actually people who need image descriptions in cartoon fandoms? I mean, the source material has such a visual component!
First off, blind and low vision people do in fact watch things like TV, movies, and plays — ever notice the "audio description" option to add narration to a given show in a streaming service? That's there to provide basically the real-time equivalent of image descriptions.
And, second, I'll leave you with this — don't you think a lot more disabled people would participate in fandom if fandom were more accessible and accommodating to disabled people in the first place?

Fandom: Cricket RPF
Characters: Shubman Gill, Ishan Kishan, Shahneel Gill, Mentions of other Gill family members, Cameo by Rohit Sharma
Genre/Tags: Sickfic, Emotional Hurt/Comfort, Indian Cricket Team
Warnings: Descriptions of illness and vomiting
Summary: A delirious Shubman with very high fever calls Ishan when the team is in Delhi for their match against Afghanistan and babbles in punjabi thinking it to be his didi on the line
Notes: Many many thanks to @ispeakmorelanguagesthanyou for encouraging my randomest ideas and also for beta reading, and to @textrovert-01 for helping me with the Punjabi parts, this fic would not have been possible without both of your love 🥰
Enjoy, and please let me know how y’all like it :)
Shubman curled up morosely in the covers. The team had left for Delhi, and Ishan had gone with them, leaving an aching void inside him. Logically he knew that they'll meet again, but at that point he felt like crying.
Reaching his hand out to the adjacent bed, Shubman grabbed the blanket from Ishan’s bed and held it close to his nose, hoping to breathe in the scent of Ishan's perfume, gagging as the scent of the hotel laundry detergent hit his already over sensitive nose. He grabbed onto the bucket kept at the side and dry heaved over it several times, unable to bring up much but strings of saliva, his abdominal muscles crying at the intensity of the heaves. God how he wished Ishan was there. Ishan would have rubbed his aching back in soothing circles and whispered soft reassurances to him just like his Ma used to do when he got sick as a child. His eyes burned with tears as he remembered the warmth. He missed her so much.
After several more minutes of dry heaving, he straightened up as the nausea passed, and fell back onto the bed feeling absolutely drained. He grabbed his phone, seeking to mindlessly scroll through social media for a while, hoping to distract himself.
The edits of Ishan and himself on Instagram only made him miss Ishan more, tears trickling down his eyes as he remembered those moments. He had been so happy during those, blissfully unaware of their pictures being clicked. He cried silently, feeling all alone and lonely in the cold hotel room. He missed everyone so much, his dada, dadi, mumma, papa, didi, Ishan, everyone on the team, but didn't want to worry them any more.
As if on autopilot, he opened his call log and hit the first contact, his Di. The one who had tolerated him crying and whining all afternoon after the one time one of his petty squabbles with Ishan had got too personal and they had both angrily decided “never to talk to each other again”. Of course they had both cried to each other and made up the same evening, but the fact remains that he did so only because Di had told him to, because that's how well she knew him.
*
The sound of his phone ringing woke Ishan from his sleep, and he squinted against the glare of the screen to look carefully at the caller. He winced when he saw it was Shubman who had been calling him, because he knew he had to be feeling really horrible to give up and call him, after being determined to toughen it out by himself.
Heart beating faster than a rabbit, Ishan swiped across the screen to pick the call. He hoped it wasn't anything too bad.
“Hey Didi” Shubh whispered exhaustedly, his Punjabi accent completely unmasked.
Ishan winced. Shubh really had no clue that he had called the wrong person, and seemed way too out of it to even realize.
“Tussi ki kar rahe ho?” (What’re you doing?) Shubh asked in Punjabi. Ishan’s heart broke at the vulnerability in his voice, and he debated whether to let him know that he had called the wrong person. Rohit bhaiya raised a concerned eyebrow from the opposite end of the room they were sharing, and Ishan mouthed the matter to him, looking at him desperately for an answer.
“Didi, ki tussi mere toh naraz ho ke mei tuhanu kal phone ni kitta? Sorry behn mei so gya si.” (Didi? Are you mad at me that I didn’t call you yesterday? I’m so sorry, I’d fallen asleep)
Ishan’s heart shattered at how heartbroken Shubh sounded. He had seen it several times firsthand how emotional Shubh got when he was sick, and how prone he was to overthinking the littlest things. But should he break the news that he had called the wrong person? A head shake from Rohit bhaiya told him “No”, and Ishan agreed. No need to make him panic more than he already is, Ishan reckoned.
"Bilkul ni pagal , mere tere son krke tere to naraz kyo howangi jadke mei hi tenu zyada son layi keha si ?"(Of course not, you idiot, I wouldn't get mad at you for sleeping when I was the one who asked you to sleep more? ) Ishan replied back in Punjabi, trying to replicate Shahneel Di’s way of speaking.
That seemed to satisfy Shuh, who hummed and sniffled on the other side.
“Ki hoyea Subhi? Das menu”(What happened, Shubhi? Tell me.)
“Kuch ni, bs sabdi bohot yaad ari si, khaas karke ma di, ohnanu keho ke meri zyada chinta na karan thik he?” (Nothing… I just miss everyone so much.. Especially Ma.. Tell her not to worry too much about me though, alright?”)
Ishan sighed. He was sure Aunty was worried like anything, and she definitely had reason to worry as well, given how Shubh was so delirious he could not even recognise the fact that he was not actually talking to his Didi..but he did have a point though, Aunty did tend to worry a lot behind her always smiling persona, and she also had problems with her blood pressure, and she'd probably worry herself sick if she knew exactly how terrible her son's condition is.
“Thik he, par tu ohnanu phone zrur kar lai, oho kaafi chinta krde ne.”(Alright. But you make sure to call her, okay? She's been really worried.)
“Oho bohot hi zyada chinta krdi hein, vese oh kr ki rahi hei?”(She worries too much…what's she doing anyway?)
Ishan cursed under his breath. Fuck, what Does aunty do at this time anyway? He had played along all this time, he just hoped this would not give him away.
Remembering something Shubh had told him ages ago about Aunty loving historical documentaries, Ishan answered as casually as he could.
“Oh koi etihasik documentary ja dekh rahi hei…” (Oh you know, watching some kind of historical documentary…) Ishan prayed desperately that Shubh wouldn't ask him to hand it over to Aunty, because then he'd be Screwed with a capital S.
Shubh hummed over the phone, apparently satisfied with the answer. Ishan breathed a sigh of relief, glad his cover had not been blown yet. However he was not sure how much longer he could keep this act up.
Shubman on the other hand, had fallen dangerously silent over the phone, and that worried Ishan. His worry grew tenfold when he heard what seemed like Shubh being sick over the line. Why weren't the nausea medications working, Ishan wondered for the nth time that week.
After a while, Ishan heard Shubh exhale shakily over the phone.
“Haye rabba jo kuj vi ho reha menu kuj acha ni lag reha..” (Oh God I hate this…) Shubh choked out, his voice cracking towards the end.
Ishan sat helplessly with the phone pressed to his ear. It broke his heart to hear his friend cry over the phone, and be unable to help him anyhow. How he wished he could be there by his side, comforting him when he needed it..
Shubman also seemed to reciprocate the same idea, because after a while Ishan heard him brokenly say “Menu Ishaan di vi bohot yaad aari he, kaash oh mere naal hunda” (I wish Ishan was there with me, y'know?..)
A pause. Ishan was starting to reconsider his decision of playing along when Shubh started speaking again.
“Mei onhu bohot yaad kar reha ha, Didi” (I miss him so much, Didi)
“Fer tu onhu phone kyu ni krda? Menu pura yakeen he oh bohot khush howega” (Why don't you call him, then? I'm sure he'd love to hear from you..” Ishan suggested, completely immersed in his character.
“Nahi, Di...bohot der ho gyi he is velle mei osnu pareshan ni krna chahunda. Kal oda match he, Onhu aram di bohot lor he. Jado da mei bimar hoye ha vichara thik naal soye hi nahi, adi raat nu jado mera bukhar vaad janda ta oh thandi pattiya karda, meri pith ragarda, jad mere lai bohot hunda ta oh mera sahara banda. Tohanu pta he di, ohda moda bohot hi sukoon dayak he..”(No, Di…it's late, I can't disturb him.. He has a match tomorrow, he needs to rest.. Poor dude has not slept properly since I got sick, y'know? Kept waking up to put cold cloths over my forehead when my fever got too high in the middle of the night, rubbing my back when I got sick, letting me cry over his shoulder when everything got too much… He has such a nice and comforting shoulder, y'know Di?)
Ishan smiled through the burning of his eyes. Shubh was so adorable when he rambled in Punjabi, completely oblivious of whether the other person was understanding or not. It melted his heart that Shubh had noticed everything, but also made him sad that he was being so hard on himself for that.
“Mei tohanu bohot yaad karda ha, didi. Papa te mummy nu keho menu ohna di bohot yaad aundi he. Par oh zyada pareshan na hon, ohna di tabiyat kharab ho jawegi.” (I miss you so much, Di..Tell papa and ma I miss them too, okay? And ask Ma not to worry so much, she'll get sick)
“Ha thik he. Tu vi hun son di koshish kr. Mei tenu jaldi milan awangi, thik he?” ( I will. Now you try to sleep, okay? I'll meet you soon, alright?” Ishan continued in his best Shahneel Di impression.
“Thik he, bohot sara pyaar tohanu didi..” (Okay.. love you, Didi..)
“Tenu vi bohot sara pyaar Shubhi, hun son di koshish kar thik he?”(Love you too, Shubhi. Now try to get some sleep, alright?)
“Han ji didi” (I will, Didi) Shubh replied, stifling a yawn. He felt absolutely drained, but atleast Di was there, and she didn't seem to mind listening to him.
“Papa te mummy nu vi mere vallo bohot saara pyaar dena, thik he?” (Tell Mumma and Papa I love them too, okay?)
“Han han zrur, chal theek he good night.” (Yeah, yeah, sure. Now goodnight.)
“Goodnight, Di”
Ishan cut the call, feeling a weird mix of drained and comforted. It felt wrong to provide false comfort, but false comfort was also comfort, right?
Rohit bhaiya dragged him to sleep, putting a stop to his spiraling thoughts. “So jao aur sone do,” (Sleep and let me sleep) he muttered sleepily, before turning over and going right back to sleep. Ishan smiled at the childishness that came out of a tired Rohit bhaiya before going back to sleep himself.

Meanwhile in a hotel in Chennai, Shubman slept like a log, his heart warm as he recalled memories of the good times with Ishan.

Honestly It's quite disrespectful and insulting, how Dana cared more about her beef with Disney than making a good show for the fans who supported her, some even financially. I've had it with her extreme fans raging to people when she's criticized for her obvious lack of care on S3 (the story in general), spamming and blaming on Disney and the shortening. Now that's revealed it wasn't Disney's fault for "ruining S3" since there was no S3 to begin with, that just puts more salt on the wound.
And lying about having plans for S3, what was that about? Stirring more hate on Disney? I find that pitiful and pathetic. If fans are gonna get mad at her from this revelation they have the right to do so. Toh should've stayed in the drafts or be written as a freelanche comic
Edit: I do think this person is too harsh on Dana as a person. I'm curious even what they mean by financial support from her fans (her charity livestreams? Unless she does those more often for personal gain but those people would likely donate anyways as just fans of the show) but as I go into below, I do agree that her unprofessionalism is a real problem and that with the fandom she somewhat helped rile up, it makes it frustrating to learn that a lot of this was on vapor. Not lies, but just... Not nearly as much solid foundation as we were led to believe. There is a lot to be said about how Dana, from my understanding, has been one of the most available leads on a show... Period? At bare minimum, for modern cartoons. Like others will talk but Dana was extremely candid. In fact, it feels like she probably learned some lessons from it because the blaming Disney stuff actually went DOWN as the show progressed. Like at least now it's "I wish I could have done more things," rather than, I dunno, just straight up trying to say they're why episodes you're not proud/ of aren't as well regarded didn't turn out.
Which she did.
With S1A.
Before SEASON TWO was out.
Like... You just shit talked literally half of the content that is out for your show and threw your publisher under the process. Why do I think that might not have been received well?
And when I was biggest in the fandom, around the time the news of the shortening happened, you heard a LOT of different explanations from Dana, like it was one executive who made the call or how TOH wasn't a 'part of Disney's brand' or the like. When the Florida stuff came out with Disney, she pretty explicitly called Disney out for it (which is fine and I approve) but then went on to insinuate that it was hard for her to believe that the show had been cancelled for any reason besides representation, a move I DON'T approve of and makes ZERO sense with how they got to do so much more gay shit in S2B and even add new elements like confirming Masha was they/them or confirming Luz being Bi on screen in Thanks to Them. It's not a great look for a director, especially during the times these statements were coming out.
Being unprofessional admittedly doesn't make her a bad person but like... Yeah, I get upset thinking about the contradictions here too. That even in the same post Hoot that she has to admit that the shortening pushed them creatively and they had no real plans, she's still talking like she had plans. Like there was something to be missed when... No. Not for the STORY. Just your bucket of ideas for a perpetual series.
It leans into the idea that saying you were going to do X means you would have done it perfectly. That Dana doesn't understand that the only perfect work is the one never done. She's fine with being remembered for what wasn't there if it means being remembered better. As a creator myself who struggles with putting things to the page... I don't know. It hurts to some extent.
Which just a small update: I've been having real trouble focusing the past couple days. My head is not on well right now. It's why these are being a bit more emotional and late night rather than my normal posts in the morning because that's just how I've felt like doing it. Hope you're all taking care of yourselves and see you next tale.
