First cook of the week: beef and tofu puff rendang with lightly dressed cucumber and plain rice. I’ve had a crazy long week and it’s nice to summer something for 6 hours. A pleasant Easter Monday lunch @hare_tortoise What with spicy calamari, a glass of Chenin Blanc and a rather large bowl of laksa. [M] When I See You Again [Soul/Maka]

Soul has a recurring dream where a girl calls out his name asking if he remembers her. Waking up with the usual sense of loss this dream imparts, he’s shocked to find he has a woman’s-- well girl’s-- body. 

Maka longs to leave Death City and move to Vegas to escape the failings of her family life. Maka snaps, declaring to the desert skies that she wishes to become a handsome boy who lives in Vegas in her next life. 

In time both realize they’re actually switching bodies until one day it ends.

Soul journeys to Death City only to find out that it was destroyed three years ago-- Maka Albarn did not survive-- he is devastated. Unwilling to let it go, he realizes their timelines were not in sync and searches for a way to connect with her again. 

Waking from his search in Maka’s body-- he discovers he has one last shot to save the girl he loves and as many others as he can with her.
