UAE OTR Tire Market Outlook, Analysis, Forecast 2023-2029
BlueWeave Consulting, a leading strategic consulting and market research firm, in its recent study, estimated UAE OTR tire market size at USD 91.79 million in 2022. During the forecast period between 2023 and 2029, BlueWeave UAE OTR tire market size is expected to grow at a significant CAGR of 6.13% reaching a value of USD 139.08 million by 2029. The demand for medium and heavy commercial vehicles is expected to rise due to the increase in initiatives taken by the top authorities to promote the infrastructure development of the nation, such as the Abu Dhabi Metro project to improve the economic situation. The UAE OTR tire market is expanding as a result of the government's efforts to diversify its revenue streams and create new sources of income to stabilize the nation's financial situation. The increased efforts being made by market participants to expand dealerships and the introduction of novel tires to draw in more customers are expected to have an impact on market growth. The demand for tractors and agricultural vehicle equipment is rising as the agricultural sector is expanding.
UAE OTR Tire Market – Overview
Off-road tires known as OTRs are used to increase traction on unpaved surfaces like loose dirt, mud, sand, or gravel. These tires, which frequently have radial construction and deep, thick treads, are designed to be used on and off-road. For heavy-duty equipment and vehicles, OTR tires that can operate in challenging environments without compromising quality, performance, or safety are necessary. OTR tires have been used in a variety of industrial applications, such as those for aircraft towing vehicles, articulated dump trucks, container handlers, container handler reach stackers, gantry cranes, graders, loaders, mobile cranes, pavers, rigid frame haul trucks, rubber tire dozers, rubber tire gantry cranes, scrapers, special purpose vehicles, straddle carriers and many more. Off-road tires are also created specifically.

Growth Drivers
Rising demand for OTR tires
A growing transportation system, sizable investments in highways, bridges, and tunnels for convenience, a bolstered supply chain network for better trade, developing manufacturing sectors, and building construction are all examples of infrastructure. The demand for mining and construction equipment could increase due to rising labor costs, the need for greater efficiency, and the desire to maximize the use of resources.
Challenge: Recycling of plastics used in the manufacture of electric vehicles
The development and best use of OTR tires throughout their life cycle were made possible by technological advancement and commercialization. The pneumatic tire cavity of OTR tires typically has small, simple-to-install sensors installed inside of it as part of a tire condition monitoring system (TCMS) or tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS). Inflation pressure, cavity air temperature, tire belt stress and strain, normal load, traction force, acceleration, and tire wear are all measured and transmitted electronically by these devices to a digital device in the driver's cabin. With the help of these measurements, the driver can assess the condition of each tire and take the necessary corrective and preventive measures to reduce the likelihood of tire-related downtime.
Impact of COVID-19 on UAE OTR Tire Market
The COVID-19 outbreak has had a significant negative impact on the OTR tire industry and supply chain in UAE. Sales of mining and construction equipment decreased during the first quarter of 2020. Sales, however, increased in the second half of 2020. The demand for off-highway equipment has also significantly increased as a result of increased mechanization. However, cross-border trade was severely harmed as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak, which resulted in supply chain disruptions in 2020. Due to increased investments in infrastructure development, increased metal demand, and growth in the mining industry, farm mechanization, and industrial automation, demand for off-highway vehicles increased in 2021 and is expected to increase further.
UAE OTR Tire Market – By Application
The UAE OTR tire market is segmented into Loader tires, Compactor tires, Earth Moving tires, Grader tires, and Others based on application. L-type tires are designed to handle heavy loads, travel short distances at a slow speed, and prioritize stability; they are categorized for use on wheeled loaders and dozers. L-classified tires also have a numerical designation that specifies tread depth and application. All tires mounted on large machinery are referred to as earth-moving tires. Such equipment is mainly used in the construction, road building, and mining industries, where hardened roads are scarce. Resistance, grip, and durability are more stressed in these circumstances.
Competitive Landscape
UAE OTR Tire market is fiercely competitive. Prominent players in the market include Bridgestone, Michelin, Goodyear, Continental, Pirelli, Apollo Tires, Nokian Tires, Dunlop Tires, Falken Tires, Hankook Tires, JK Tire, Yokohama Tires, Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Toyo Tires, Cooper Tires. These companies use various strategies, including increasing investments in their R&D activities, mergers, and acquisitions, joint ventures, collaborations, licensing agreements, and new product and service releases to further strengthen their position in the UAE OTR tire market.

“I promise you the bed will be so much comfier” — Austin butler x reader
Summary: you are Florence’s bestie and meet Austin through her while she’s on set during filming for Dune :)
Pairing: Austin Butler x reader
Word count: 1.1K
Warnings: fluff! Slow burn, no real romance, friends before dating typa cuteness! I wrote this while extremely tired so sorry if there are typos </3
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Your best friend, Florence, was in the UAE for filming for Dune. When Florence told you she was going to be spending those 5 shooting weeks either in the desert or alone in the apartment they would provide for her, you offered to find some time to visit her for a bit, but it ended up in you just coming with her for almost the whole time.
You settled into a routine with her nicely, though you didn’t see much of her for more than a few hours at a time. Mostly you filled your time with exploring the nearby areas, reading and occasionally visiting Flo on set. It was during one of these days that you first met Austin.
It was easy to get along with his relaxed demeanour, and his charm made it even easier to strike up a friendship of sorts. It wasn’t long before your friendship with him felt as though there wasn’t a time where you hadn’t known each other.
One early morning, you found yourself tossing and turning in bed. Sleep eluded you, and the more you tried to force it, the more restless you became. Frustrated and tired, you grabbed your phone to check the time. 6:14. Florence had long shoot this day and you didn’t want to wake her up any earlier she had to be up. Pushing past the straining sensation the light of your phone gave your eyes, you decided to text Austin, who didn’t have to be on set until the evening.
“You awake? I can’t sleep.”
No reply as you scrolled aimlessly, waiting. Figuring his silence was a ‘no,’ you put your phone down and tried for the hundredth time to fall asleep. Just as the the room fell back to darkness, a buzz beside your head alerted you back to full consciousness.
“I am. Come over, door will be unlocked for you.”
You didn’t hesitate. All the cast and crew were staying in houses along the same strip and Austin’s was conveniently just across the road. You slipped on your shoes and quietly made your way over, the early morning air cool and refreshing against your skin as you knocked lightly before pushing the door open. You found Austin in the kitchen, already making his breakfast and a coffee.
“Hey,” he greeted you with a warm smile, “you look sleepy.”
“Because I am,” you replied, with slightly more attitude than you intended, “I just couldn’t get comfortable.”
You turned to leave, going to curl up at the end of the couch in the living room.
He soon joined you, placing his food on the coffee table. You lifted your head from the back of the sofa to look up at him.
Austin motioned towards his bedroom. “If you want to try and get some more sleep, I promise you the bed will be so much comfier.”
“Are you sure?” You asked, hesitating for a moment.
“Yeah, of course,” Austin said, leading you towards his room. “Make yourself at home.”
You slipped into his bed, instantly feeling enveloped in comfort. Austin closed the curtains but left the door open, ensuring you could rest without feeling too closed in. His sheets smelt divine, just like the way he smelt every day, but softer. And between you and well, you, there may have been some feelings starting to develop for him.
You actually did manage to get some rest, when the sound of conversation woke you. You heard Florence’s voice ask if he’d seen you.
Austin replied, “Yeah, she’s in bed,” nodding towards his room.
Concern painted Flo’s face, “she slept with you?”
Austin shook his head, setting down his coffee. "No, she came over earlier. She’s just having a nap. She couldn’t sleep at your place."
Florence crossed her arms, studying him carefully. "Mhm. And are you trying to sleep with her?"
Austin met her gaze evenly. "No, I’m not trying to sleep with her."
"So, there are no feelings for her? And it’s normal for you to let anyone you’ve known four weeks sleep in your bed?" Florence pressed, her concern evident. She was your best friend, and you did only know Austin a few weeks. She really was only looking out for you, even if she was being a bit pushy for half seven in the morning.
Austin sighed, running a hand through his hair. “Right now, my feelings for her are friend deep because that is all I’ll let them be. If she makes it clear to me that she wants me to make my move, then I will allow myself to feel more.”
Florence nodded slowly, her expression softening. "I just don’t want you hurting her."
"I promise, that is the very last thing I want to do," Austin assured her.
Florence glanced towards the bedroom, then back at Austin. "Alright, I’ve got to go. I’m already late. Thanks for the breakfast," she said, holding up the small to-go container he gave her.
"No problem," Austin replied with a warm smile. "Don’t work too hard."
Florence gave him a cheeky nod and grin before disappearing, her voice yelling, “I will hurt you if I find out you try anything on her,” earning a laugh from Austin.
You decided to pretend to still be asleep so he wouldn’t know you heard any of their conversation. Austin took a moment to gather himself before heading towards his bedroom where he thought you were still sleeping. He approached the doorframe and knocked gently. You groaned softly, stirring but not quite waking.
"Sorry," Austin whispered, not wanting to startle you. "Are you ready for some breakfast?"
You shook your head, still half-buried in the pillows. Austin smiled softly, about to walk away, when he heard you mumble his name.
"Yeah?" he responded, turning back towards you.
You reached out towards him, and he stepped closer, thinking you were asking for help getting up. But instead of taking his hand, you wrapped your arms around his neck, insisting on being held.
He leaned down, his strong arms easily lifting her from the bed. You nestled against him, your head resting on his shoulder.
"Where do you want to go? The couch?" he asked softly.
You shook your head, your hair brushing against his cheek. You laid your head more comfortably on his shoulder, and Austin took the cue, gently swaying back and forth, like rocking a baby. His arms were strong and steady, capable of holding you for as long as you needed him to.
You stayed like this for several minutes, the morning light casting a soft glow through the partially closed curtains. Austin felt a deep sense of peace, content just to be there with you. Eventually, he felt you shift slightly, a sign that you were ready to move. He lowered you gently back down, your feet touching the floor. You looked up at him with a shy smile, your eyes filled with warmth.
"Let’s get you some breakfast,” he smiled back.

Please please please write a story with pepe marti and Christian mansells sister!!
does it make sense? no, did I want to write a different story? yes (and maybe I'll do a second version just to-)
anywayss, let me know ;)
pepe martí x reader, brother's bestfriend
~ "wait, did you say maybe?"
summary : Pepe, Christian, and the girl wrapped up the season with fun airport moments. Between coffee runs and playful teasing, the trio shared laughs and light-hearted banter. Pepe’s mischievous side was in full swing, and Christian’s protective big-brother instincts kept the mood as lively as ever.
A special trio, made up of two drivers and their unusual companion: the Australian’s sister, who was also a double for the Spaniard.
The end of the 2024 season had finally arrived, bringing with it the last surprises Qatar had to offer, along with the faint melancholy of goodbyes already looming. This would be their last trip together for a while, before Christian and the other Mansell spent Christmas at home with the family they hadn’t seen much of lately, and Pepe returned to Spain.
“Thank you lots,” the girl said, taking three cups from the server with a quick smile before heading toward the seats in the airport lounge.
“One without sugar, a decaf, and a ginseng for me,” she distributed the drinks among the two boys seated across from her.
Pepe leaned back in his chair, headphones around his neck, wearing a sweater and flashing that familiar smile at her.
“What if I wanted a cinnamon latte?” he teased.
“Then you should have gone to get it yourself,” she replied, sitting down next to him and taking a sip of her drink.
“Mmm, I miss sweet and nerdy you,” the Spaniard whispered with a playful look.
“Just give me time to wake up,” the Australian chuckled, stretching her shoulders in one of her brother’s hoodies.
That morning, Christian had outdone himself, barging into her room and dragging her out of bed with such energy that she half-wondered if he’d resorted to stimulants.
“She’s tired, mate, you’re a terrible person,” the Campos driver said, propping his elbows on his knees and addressing the Trident redhead.
“She deserves it,” the other replied, making them both laugh.
The three enjoyed their coffee as they waited for their flight’s gate to be announced, while Pepe and the girl chatted about things Christian would never understand, passing the time as they always did—laughing, sharing opinions, and talking about the latest movie they’d watched.
“I’ll stop by the bathroom for a second,” said the Mansell girl, standing up and adjusting her hoodie.
“I’ll walk you,” Pepe offered, taking the opportunity to accompany her and stop by himself before boarding.
“Why am I not surprised?”
The two shook their heads, heading straight across the enormous airport hall, getting momentarily distracted by the duty-free displays. Gaby would meet them in the UAE, and Christian would finally stop playing the jealous older brother, torn between liking the fact that his sister had befriended a driver or hating it.
On the way, the Spaniard placed his hands on the girl’s shoulders, steering her toward one of the airport’s massive bookstores with a playful smile and a desire to buy her something.
“Christian will kill us,” she said, scanning the colorful covers and limited editions on the shelves.
“I know,” Pepe laughed, fully aware that the Australian liked to board as early as possible to avoid the final crowd and would lose it if they delayed.
The Campos driver loved spending time with her; they were more alike than similar, their differences limited to his extroversion versus her tendency to open up gradually. But once she did, stopping her was nearly impossible.
“You’ll be my ruin,” she said while standing in line to pay, holding a book she’d picked for herself and another she’d decided to gift him.
“Why do you have to be so dramatic?” he laughed, towering over her by a full head.
“I don’t know, maybe it’s the lack of sleep,” she joked, stepping up to the register with her phone ready to pay, knowing Pepe would try to pull out his wallet and beat her to it.
“That’s not what I wanted to happen,” the Spaniard lamented as they left the store, his face lit by an enormous, joyful grin he couldn’t hide.
“You should know me by now.”
Back with Christian, they endured his lecture as they lugged their massive suitcases up and down the airport in search of their gate.
“The two of you should not be left alone,” the Trident driver muttered as he walked briskly ahead, flashing his passport and boarding pass.
“I hate him when he does that,” Pepe whispered in the girl’s ear, leaning down slightly.
“Oh, don’t tell me,” she replied.
They boarded the plane in line, found their seats while Pepe stowed their luggage, and debated where to sit.
“Is that Isack?” the girl asked, spotting the Spaniard’s teammate a few rows away. When the Campos driver nodded, she raised a hand to wave, only for Isack and the team members traveling with him to burst into song.
“Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you!”
“It’s not—” she tried to interject.
“Happy birthday dear ___! Happy birthday to you!”
The nearby passengers joined in, leaving her blushing as nearly twenty people sang to her. She instinctively turned to the Spaniard, who was on the verge of tears from laughing, a mischievous grin on his face.
“It’s not my—” she attempted again, but Isack had already stood up, shaking her hand and pulling her into a half-hug.
When she finally sat between her brother and Pepe, all she wanted was to sink into the seat and never emerge.
“What the hell was that?”
“Maybe, just maybe, I made a bet with Ollie Bearman,” Pepe confessed, covering his mouth with one of his large hands to muffle his laughter.
“He’s going to owe me now,” she said, as if it were some tragic fate.
“Juicy news,” Pepe teased, raising an eyebrow. “Have you heard about this, Christian?”
“I’ll pretend I didn’t.”
“Would you have any objections if I took ___ out?” the Spaniard asked suddenly, clearly joking with Christian, though there might have been some truth to the question.
“As in a date?”
“Maybe.”
“No,” Christian said immediately, only to catch the tone in Pepe’s voice after a moment’s pause. “Wait, did you say maybe?”
“No,” the Spaniard replied, shrugging and leaning back in his seat with his phone in hand.
The girl, caught in neutral territory in the middle, tried to ignore the subtle teasing while sitting comfortably with her feet propped on her backpack, her hair tied in a braid.
“Why would you ask him that?” she whispered once Christian had put on his headphones.
“I can’t keep making up excuses to spend time alone with you.”
“Christian loves you, you ungrateful jerk,” she joked.
“But not like you do,” he countered, eyebrows raised and those irresistible eyes turning the line between friendship and love into something far too easy to cross.
“That’s not going to work on me.”
“Wanna bet?”
“Stop betting, please.”

it is election day. i wrote a little essay to share with my IRLs who can't fathom why i might want to abstain from participating in the bloodshed by putting holocaust harris in power, or giving the transpbobic and anti-abortion green party federal campaign money. i've reposted the entire thing under the cut for anyone who wants to read.
but before i begin: donate to mohammed al-habil. he is recovering from surgery, his little sister is chronically ill. the genocide ruined his senior year of high school. it’s his birthday today. he should be celebrating and instead he’s begging on an internet full of people trying to justify the continued destruction of his entire people.
learn more + donate
i keep hearing from people defending their choice to vote for the genocider that even though the democrats are bad, the republicans are worse. or that this election is the most important one. i often see trolley problems that declare that the *only* people who would suffer under the democrats would be palestine, and, because *americans* would suffer under the republicans, we have to put aside our grievances about the potentially-three-hundred-thousand-and-thiry-five people who have been murdered in the past thirteen months and offer our full support to the person who did it.
nearly every time settler colonialism has occurred in history, the first wave of settlers is some vulnerable yet radicalized population who believes they will achieve prosperity in the new world. the uae-backed rsf is establishing settlements using refugees from other african countries in southeast sudan right now. the first wave of israeli settlers were poor. even herzl planned this in the 1890s, in 'the jewish state' he writes that the first wave of settlers should be poor farm workers. and now, the modern settlers in the illegally occupied west bank live in and they are the most radicalized most. despite facing extreme racism within israel, arab israeli settlers are among the most radical zionists. the first settlers in america were poor and tired religious extremists from britain. when they came here they didn't have shit except the military backing of the empire and the carte blanche to commit massacres of indigenous people.
imperialism needs these vulnerable people. it needs to funnel the oppressed populations it creates back into the machine to enact further violence. these people are effective cannon fodder against the indigenous population. they are vulnerable enough that they cannot resist, but their lives are comfortable enough thanks to subsidized housing and special treatment that they begin to identify wholly with the imperialist entity, so they don't even want to. if you're stuck thinking 'well, of course kamala and trump are the same to palestine, but trump will be worse for us!' you've taken the bait. that's exactly the kind of attitude that is allowing this genocide to happen right now. do you know why the usa gives subsidized healthcare to israelis? why we give so many benefits to veterans? why do thousands of people risk their entire lives to come here after we destroy their countries? the usa wants to recruit you into participating in the genocide of gaza so you never oppose it, because it would mean opposing yourself.
even kamala harris knows this. multiple times she's repeated some version of "sure people care about the genocide, but they also care about the price of eggs" as if these things are remotely comparable. because to her supporters, they are. to americans, the rest of the world does not even exist.
i said this on my instagram story and i'll say it again - we understand that the israeli elections are just a performance of democracy to pacify criticism of a violent genocidal apartheid system. none of us would really care if netanyahu stepped down tomorrow because we would see the bombings continue. well, america is the world's "israel"! to the rest of the world, america is that attack dog that only ever brings death and suffering. and regardless of which party is in charge, that doesn't change. and the democrats arent even hiding it anymore.
what the discourse around this election and seeing so many people i once respected voting for the genocide has taught me is that there is no red line for the majority of americans. we are the most self centered, narrow minded, backstabbing group of settlers on this earth. we have seen the terrorist organization that occupies the land we live on fund 70% of the most vile horrific crimes against humanity - the most nightmare inducing rapes, tortures, kidnappings, incarcerations, concentration camps, people being burned alive, people being ripped apart, rendered unrecognizable as human bodies, literally vaporized, killing over three hundred thousand people over thirteen months - and we still want the entities that did all this to exist tomorrow. we want to invest into a future in which all of this still exists.
and when asked to stop, we will threaten to do worse. a greater evil is imagined.
what does this make us?
....
i refuse to participate in this bullshit even to support a third party candidate. i refuse to be bought. i refuse to invest my time and energy into an institution that kills children. i don’t care who runs it.
i wanted to push back against this idea before the polls close as a sort of last ditch effort to be heard. i am not being heard right now. i have gotten into way too many arguments with people i once respected over why voting in favor of a genocide might not be the best idea. and every time i am met with utter disrespect - i am not treated as a person with a political perspective based on my experiences and learning, i am treated like an idiot. and the people voting for genocide are pragmatists, somehow. in lieu of a reason to disagree with me they resort to belittlement. i feel betrayed. i hope this rant changes some minds; if not, let it explain why i treat you differently now.

🎫 You can make one rider change teams this transfer season. Who do you choose and where does (s)he go?

cycling offseason ask game
Hello :3c
🎫 You can make one rider change teams this transfer season. Who do you choose and where does (s)he go? Uh... Good question. I think I would like to pick up Sepp Kuss by his jersey like a mother cat picks up her kittens by their scruff and drop him off in literally any other good team bar like... UAE or Soudal (and any other teams very obviously dedicated to one specific guy). I suppose he likes it in VLAB but first of all; I hate VLAB and I wanna be able to say I hate VLAB without always having to put an asterisk of not you Sepp Kuss, and second of all; I want him to win more Grand Tours and VLAB have Jonas for that already. He should be someones specialest guy always and not just when Jonas isnt around. (*OP thinks Sepp Kuss may or may not be the second coming of Christ. Or at least acts like they do)
🌐 You can add one race to the world tour calendar (promoting an existing race or inventing a new one). What do you do? GIVE ME A TWO WEEK RACE. Legit anywhere in the world (well my own bias says Europe cause thats easiest to watch) in any time of the year. I just want to watch these teams strategize for a two week race, feels like it would be different from a one week race (more time for a fun comeback if there is an accidental flop!!) and at the same time not suffer from the third week syndrome of a Grand Tour where everyone is just tired and wants to go home
#ask#ask game#radioclashh#help me acting like week3 of a gt sucks when i regularly lose it over tdf24 stage 19 and tdf20 stage 20 and week three of vuelta24 is >>>

Waiting
A/N: I GOT THIS FROM TIKTOK! I GOT IT FROM A TIKTOK BUT BRO I HAD TO FREAKING WRITE IT BECAUSE IT WAS PRESENTED AND NOW I MUST! Um so I’m tired asf so you Imma give you waiting for us for this fic.
Felix x Reader
[Credit for basic plot line:@/read_between.the_wines on tiktok]
You had moved away for travelling which turned into semi permanent residency all over the place while you explored to your hearts content. It was a very fulfilling trip. You had made so many wonderful friends and seen landmarks you had only ever dreamed of as a child.
But it was time to come home. The non stop calls from your family and friends had finally shattered your resolve to be away.
Especially your twin brother, Jisung. He had traveled from time to time for his work and by some miracle, you had crossed paths twice.
Out in the wild… if you can consider Los Angeles and the UAE wild.
It was so comforting to see him and spend a few days with him whenever you guys were close. You missed home but you pushed through to resume your travels.
Not anymore. He had made it his mission to pester you till you came home. Him mentioning your favourite [insert favourite comfort snack here] that were exclusive to Korea finally did the trick.
He was proud of himself, knowing food was your weakness. You practically inhaled them as a kid. Your brother was put off of them specifically because of it. But now they served his purpose.
You had taken the first flight back after tying up all the loose ends you had. You had spent a year in a location and then moved to another for a year. It was exhilarating but very time consuming. You had been gone for years.
When you got back, it was like you were home but also like you knew no one. You didn’t mind of course but it felt a little strange.
You were now at the airport entrance. You had taken your luggage and were waiting for your brother.
What you got though, was only an eighth of what you expected. Although you didn’t realise this because a random man was waiting for you with a sign that had your name on it. A massive van type thing with blacked out windows was waiting for you behind him. Much like the boys used on tour.
You expected to be in for a peaceful drive before you got home to a chaotic welcome from everyone who had ever uttered your name in this country. You didn’t get that luxury because once you opened the door, your brother pulled you in.
Almost like you were being kidnapped.
Because that’s always great.
When the initial surprise wore off you hugged him back tightly, ‘Heyyy Ji! I missed you sooo much!’
‘Only half as much as I missed you then,’ as he pulled away, you noticed the other boys… all of them…
While Jisung closed the door, you properly said hello to everyone. Waving and smiling politely. You sat down and everyone asked you how your travels had been seen they last saw you.
You had managed to get well acquainted with them all the times where you were with Jisung.
You all talked until you got home and you had a massive welcome, like you had expected. After an hour or two pf pleasantries, you excused yourself and finally rested.
This was the first time in what felt like forever that you didn’t have any plans on going anywhere. You took a nice break for a couple days.
The food at home was amazing and you had missed eating with your family. It was hectic but you loved it. The boys were over a lot and you all hung out.
You had gotten especially close to Felix. He called himself the stand in twin while you were away from Ji because they were both born a day apart. He was funny and he played games with you online while you were travelling. In the times where you were on a plane or had a day where you weren’t going out, you would call him and the both of you would talk and play stuff together.
It felt more like you had a few friends here because of all of them.
——————————
It was late at night and you were hungry so you had decided to get something to eat from the convenience store. It wasn’t too far and you wanted to stretch your legs. When you got there, you were browsing when you noticed there was another boy here too. You kept that in mind just to be safe but he was suddenly getting closer to you. It freaked you out.
You were about to walk away when he said, ‘hey! Y/N?’ You were shocked when he said your name and you turned around with a puzzled look. ‘Sorry if I freaked you out. I’m Jake. From your maths class if you remember.’
You looked at him carefully and realised that you did remember him. He sat right at the back and you guys worked together like twice. He had really grown up since then. He had a charming look to him and you kind of liked his smile. ‘Oh, hi. My bad for not realising.’
‘No, it’s ok. Anyway, last I heard you were off somewhere far away. Our small country being too small to hold such a big spirit and all I’m guessing?’ He joked.
‘In a sense, I guess,’ you laughed a little, ‘it was fun and I learned a lot. I got back a couple days ago.’
‘I can’t imagine better tteokbokki anywhere else,’ he quipped.
‘That is correct! Nothing more authentic then how my mum makes it,’ you laughed again
‘Umm so, before I go, I was wondering if you wanted to go out with me sometime. I get if it’s too soon but I liked you a little back in school and it killed me that I never told you. OH! That is if you aren’t totally into an international boy,’ he looked nervous but hopeful.
You smiled and considered it for a second. You hadn’t been on a date in a long time. It wouldn’t hurt to go on one now. Might be fun. ‘You know what, yeah. Sure.’
His smile got bigger and he looked a lot cuter. You couldn’t help but get a little bubbly feeling inside. You guys swapped phone numbers and adorably said an awkward goodbye. You went home after getting what you needed, which he had very sneakily paid for.
——————————
You were excited for the date. You and Jake had been texting for a couple days and you were getting along very well.
He was taking you to a restaurant that he liked quite a lot. He had come to get you in a nice light pink shirt which you smiled at. ‘Making a statement there. Pink is everyone’s colour. I support!’
‘Right. That’s totally why. Not because my roommate did my laundry and turned everything pink,’ he smirked. You guys talked as you made your way to the restaurant.
‘The only concerning thing there for me is, why is your roommate doing your laundry?’
‘He lost a bet.’
‘Oh? What bet?’
‘Ok don’t laugh. I have a big mouth…’
‘Great way to start a story,’ you tried to hold your laugh in, ‘very informative and engaging.’
‘I feel like I’m being critiqued.’
‘I give you an 8 out of 10 for that beginning.’
He gasped dramatically, ‘hey! I’m trying here! I deserve a million out of 10.’
‘Ok pouty, continue your story, please?’
‘Well, since you asked so nicely,’ he winked at you jokingly, ‘I bet him that I could fit more marshmallows in my mouth. We bet that whoever lost would do a whole year’s laundry for the winner.’
‘So you essentially cheated your roommate into doing your laundry.’
‘I didn’t cheat. I used my assets. It’s strategic.’
You laughed, ‘your strategic asset being your gaping mouth.’
‘It sounds weird when you say it,’ he frowned which made you laugh even more.
You guys got to the restaurant and you really liked the food they served. It was slowly getting weirder talking to him though. He was making jokes that were distasteful and bragging about strange things he had done. He had been hinting on taking you home so you guys could ‘do stuff’? It felt uncomfortable to you but you pushed through to the end of the date.
He paid for dinner after insisting then was very blatant on you coming back with him. They were packing up your leftovers when you excused yourself to go to the bathroom.
You were panicked as you tried to call your brother. To your dismay though, he didn’t pick up. You decided to try texting Felix instead. He was online a lot so you knew would be near his phone.
Hey Lix, there’s a dude I’m on a date with and he’s creeping me out.
*Location shared*
Can you come get me? Ji won’t pick up the phone.
You there?
You waited a couple minutes but there were no replies. You were freaking out as you went back out to him. You tried to think of a good plan on how you could get yourself out of this.
You sat across him while the food was still taking too long to pack up. Jake spoke kindly, as if the last hour hadn’t just happened. The waiter walked over with your food but with his every step, your dread grew.
Suddenly, the door was flung open. It made a loud noise when it came into contact with the wall. You looked over with surprise, lo and behold, there was Felix. He looked around and when he spotted you, he quickly made his way to you.
The whole restaurant stared as he put a bike helmet on your head, ‘get up, we’re leaving.’
Jake had to intervene, ‘hey, she’s with me dude. We’re leaving together.’
Felix looked at him with a stare that you had never seen on him before. His muscles tensed as he leaned a little closer to Jake, ‘I was not speaking to you. Say another word to me and I’ll knock you so hard, your ancestors will cry.’
That seemed till shut him up as he looked somewhere between alarmed, confused and embarrassed.
You got up and Felix tightly held your hand and lead you out with him. You both got on his bike and when you were safely on, he drove you home.
When he came to a stop in front of your house, you awkwardly let go of his waist as you both got off the bike. You took of the helmet on your head and put it on the bike. ‘I’m sorry, I didn’t know it was going to go so badly… I hope I didn’t disturb you too much-’
‘Hold on a second. Look, I was with the guys when you texted me-‘
Your eyes widened, ‘oh my god I’m sorry! I must’ve-‘
‘HOLD ON! I saw your text and I didn’t even think twice. I got up without telling them where I was going and I went straight to you.’
You looked at him with shock.
‘You will alway come first.’
‘What? What does that mean?’
He leaned closer to you and you leaned on the bike, ‘you. Will. Always. Come. First.’ He looked at you with intense eye contact.
‘What about my brother,’ you questioned as you looked up at him. His hands were resting on either side of you, caging you in. As if you could leave now anyway.
‘Before him too,’ he whispered. He was so close. You couldn’t help but look at his beautiful freckles before you looked up into his eyes again.
It only lasted a second before you both closed your eyes and you could feel his breathe on your lips before he kissed you.
Only for a second though and it was the lightest kiss you had ever felt. He pulled away and smiled slightly while the butterflies in your stomach went wild, ‘I want to do this properly with you. We’ll revisit it in a couple days. When you haven’t just gotten away from a terrible date with the village freak.’
———————————
A/N: BRO! I was gonna sleep.
Felix: why couldn’t you?
Because I woke up all night and I realised if I put off posting this I’ll screw myself over again by doing it in the middle of the night…
Felix patted my head: it’s ok. You can sleep after then.
🥹 I hope so!

@ your anon:
It’s not a “book”, it’s a pretty traditional way of limited art prints bound together with the book preserving the print.
Etchings are a temporary way of printing because etchings lose the picture over time, the edges get pressed after a run of prints and it will loose sharpness (think a vinyl played too often kinda) so it can never be printed again (esp. because they give away the plates too.) A set of 15 etching prints is about 200€ per print, which is on the pricier side but not unheard of in the realms of visual arts and edition prints and it comes with the poema and the handbinding on top.
@you:
Sorry for using your inbox to rant but I am so tired.
Please everybody get educated before you just jump on things. The fashion made in the UAE was iffy, but this isn’t that.
Thank you for these informations !
The way Till handles the pages with special white gloves, represents the preciousness of this book ! This book is art, whether in form or content !

Imām Ibn Al Qayyim رحمه الله تعالى رحمة واسعة said, in Ahkām Ahl ash-Dhîmmāh [1/294]:
“Whoever congratulates someone for committing a sin, an innovation, or disbelief — has exposed themselves to Allāh’s Wrath and Displeasure. The people of piety among the scholars used to avoid congratulating oppressors for their positions of power or congratulating the ignorant for appointments to positions of judgment, teaching, or issuing legal verdicts, out of fear of Allāh’s Wrath and falling from His grace. However, if a person is tested with such circumstances, so he engages with them in order to avert harm they expect from them, and they only speak good words and pray for their guidance and success, then there is no harm in doing so. And with Allāh lies All Success.”
Some important points:
Some with diseased hearts will use the tail end of this statement as a carte blanche to what Jawlānī (or any sellout government — Saudi, UAE, Afghanistan, etc) has done, citing either international protocol, necessity, with some morons even going as far as to claim this is some 5-D chess move.
The application of this statement is with regards to those whose authority you will fall under, whether in the capacity of Oppressive governors, or appointed Judges/Muftīs, or appointed teachers (just as Ibn al-Qayyim mentions) — none of which apply to Amərica. After mentioning these scenarios, the Imam said, and if he is “tested with SUCH,” thus clearly qualifying the extent of his statement.
Now the question arises — what’s the Hukm of congratulating a Tāghūt for being elected as such, via a process of Shirk?
If your response is that “Amərica has authority over the situation in Syria,” then please don’t get mad when people call the incumbent regime a Tāghūt or a puppy dog of Amərica. Unless you think Amərica having authority in the lands, can be simultaneous with the Shârī’āh being the absolute law of the land?
Rather, one is a Tāghūt who strives to spread Shirk within the lands, and one is The Pure Shârī'āh of the Lord of The Worlds. They can’t, and won’t ever coexist. Understand that.
If one ponders the reality of all of these countries, whether they cloak themselves in the garb of being an Islamic movement, or not — they, and all their fanboys who work overtime to justify their Zandâqā, do so because they lack a wholistic understanding of Tawhīd Al-Hākimiyyah. Many of these individuals, ironically criticize the Madkhalīs for the very same Irjā they display, just in a different way.
The Madkhalīs justify the Shirk of their masters, by saying that governing by man-made laws is Kufran Duna Kufr, while these different-flavor-Murjī’ā who justify the Zandâqā of the government of Afghanistan, Syria, do so by simply saying there’s currently “no ability” to govern completely by the Sharī’āh.
What they fail to realize or understand, is not applying CERTAIN Ahkām is tied to ability, while governing by (or the Law of the Land being) the Sharī’āh, is inherently tired to Tawhīd, thus when you govern by man-made laws (even if by just one) that contradict(s) the Sharī’āh, it is an inherent deficiency of Tawhīd.
Their puppet governments govern and source judgements in man-made laws, which is a matter related to their Tawhīd, not ability. When you govern by man-made laws (even if just one), and make it/them the source of your judgements in the peoples’ affairs, you’ve taken another lord besides Allāh, and have worshipped a Tāghūt.
No amount of “necessity,” “Hikmāh,” and “foresight,” justifies this Shirk.
