In fact, when you go to sleep the movement in your mouth stops due to sleep and taking advantage of these germs and bacteria attacks. As when you awake the salvia in your mouth you engulf also takes these bacteria and germs in your stomach. 2. Use Soft Bristles Tooth Brush and Brush Gently
Brushing your teeth with hard pressure can damage the soft tissues and wear down the external layers of the teeth, which will gradually erode your teeth. Tooth brushing of teeth for 2 to 3 minutes is enough to clean your teeth and is recommended by dentists.
To avoid the excessive pressure on your teeth use the soft bristle toothbrush that has less pressure and impact while brushing. While brushing cleaning your teeth on every corner is more important than putting pressure on your brush.

Consuming ice-cold liquids like cold drinks, refrigerated water, cold drinks and ice cream like extremely cold food or beverages items are not good for your teeth. Consuming such extremely cold liquids will cause sensitivity problems in your teeth.
Similarly, you should also avoid consuming extremely hot liquids that touch teeth while drinking. Apart from that drinks are acidic in nature and having artificial sweeteners like tea, coffee, packed juice, and soft drinks are also not good for the teeth.

Toothpaste review
So, I struggle with brushing my teeth. It's less of a sensation issue and more of a "lack of short term reward" issue. To remedy this, I've been looking into flavored toothpastes. I hope to find one that I enjoy. Not one to tolerate, but actually enjoy.
Today's toothpaste is Burt's Bees kids strawberry splash. This toothpaste contains 0.14% w/v fluoride. This is just slightly short, as the recommended dose of fluoride for adults is 0.15%.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/2a5040e3db285f194ac4c748014cf834/bca0fa6c100f09cb-e3/s540x810/3437ff37f7f9837f58ff25251a542718f8564a51.jpg)
Okay, so right off the bat, the toothpaste smells really good. It smells like an off brand strawberry soda. Unfortunately, this does not persist into the actual flavor. Let me just say, this toothpaste doesn't taste BAD. It's simply... mediocre. It does have a hint of strawberry, but it's a pretty muted flavor. It kind of has chalky taste and a gritty feel. It also foams A LOT, which is an issue for some people. I also feel like I have to use more toothpaste to actually get my teeth clean, as it kind of like? Dissolves really quick?
It's not bad, but I personally prefer the regular mint over this. Due to the foam and chalky taste, I think I would personally give this a 4.5/10. I could see someone else enjoying this, but it's not for me.
If you have any questions, corrections, or personal opinions, leave them in the comments. I'm not a dentist or qualified in tooth care at all. I'm mostly just ranking this based off of my personal experience and general knowledge. PLEASE, remember to do your own research and correct me if I slip up!

some teeth brushing tips/facts that have helped me improve my teeth brushing habits:
it doesn't matter what time of day you brush your teeth! just aim to brush them twice a day!
start with a cheap waterpik if you can't get into flossing right away. it helps you get used to the feeling! (my waterpik is from five below)
you should care for your teeth in this order: floss, mouth wash, brush teeth, tongue scrape.
when brushing, make sure to gently brush your gums and the roof of your mouth :)
use a soft bristle tooth brush!
use apps to help you! for the longest time i used pokemon smile to help me get back into brushing my teeth.
alternatively, use a physical tracking method! after i had an intense dental surgery i knew i needed to take better care of my teeth. i decorated a giant poster and put rewards on the side of it, whenever i finished a row (or two!) i would choose a reward! every time i brushed my teeth i would put a smiley face sticker.
you don't have to stay stationary the whole time while brushing your teeth! i am constantly walking around the house while brushing.
i, personally, do not trust teeth whitening products.
use a physical timer!!!!! i found mine at primark for a dollar but i have also seen them at the dollar store/online! it helps me SO MUCH to physically see how much time i have left to brush my teeth!
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/763dd86aea4afed42f7b1e9a58d0f209/fd9683e768fe764a-d9/s540x810/ff0b664e2f20d3897543d77c9183a2a6e3240b4d.jpg)
the dentist TERRIFIES ME. i will admit, i am terrible at going and i know it's really expensive. but PLEASE prioritize going to the dentist if your teeth get really bad. your mouth health affects so much of your life.
lastly, the thing that helped me the MOST: i always pee before i go to bed. i started to say to myself, 'well if i'm already here, why don't i just brush my teeth?' it has helped me start a whole night routine simply because i am ALREADY in the bathroom.

It’s very funny how my presence at family functions is treated as a requirement, yet my need for help actually getting there is treated as a burden. If I don’t go I’m a horrible selfish monster. If I do go I’m a horrible selfish monster. No way to fucking win

Dental Tips About Teeth Whitening You Should Know
Several teeth whitening tips are shared by dentists, once you have undergone a dental whitening procedure.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/def08080241a2506d9911820fd383adf/cfe3bfaf2c255ccd-0b/s540x810/f4d0a54b59fa9dd2ef70ac303205100172d9b571.jpg)
Brushing Your Teeth with Whitening Toothpaste
When you have undergone a dental whitening procedure, and start to use whitening toothpaste, you should be careful about various products that are included in such toothpastes. If you have sensitive teeth, those toothpastes can create harm.
Some common ingredients are added to whitening toothpaste. These are:
Mild abrasive
Hydrogen peroxide
Baking soda
Activated Charcoal
When it comes to whitening teeth, dentists will say that these ingredients will only remove stains from the surface level and not from entire teeth. While providing teeth whitening dentists will recommend whitening toothpastes that have proven to whiten entire teeth.

Dental Care: How to Keep Your Teeth and Gums Healthy
Dental care is the practice of maintaining good oral hygiene and preventing dental problems such as tooth decay, gum disease, and bad breath. Dental care is important for your overall health, as poor oral health can affect your nutrition, self-esteem, and risk of infection. Here are some tips on how to take care of your teeth and gums:
Brush your teeth twice a day with fluoride toothpaste. Fluoride helps strengthen the enamel of your teeth and protects them from acid erosion and cavities. Use a soft-bristled toothbrush and gently brush all surfaces of your teeth, including the chewing, inner, and outer sides. Don’t forget to brush your tongue, as it can harbor bacteria that cause bad breath. Replace your toothbrush every three to four months or when the bristles are frayed.
Floss once a day. Flossing removes plaque and food particles that are stuck between your teeth and under your gum line, where your toothbrush can’t reach. Flossing also helps prevent gum disease and tooth decay by stimulating the gums and reducing inflammation. Use about 18 inches of floss and wrap it around your middle fingers. Gently slide the floss between your teeth and curve it around each tooth. Move the floss up and down, scraping the sides of each tooth. Use a clean section of floss for each tooth.
See a dentist regularly. A dentist can check your teeth and gums for signs of disease, cavities, or other problems. A dentist can also perform professional cleaning, which removes tartar (hardened plaque) that can’t be removed by brushing or flossing. A dentist can also provide treatments such as fillings, crowns, bridges, implants, or dentures to restore damaged or missing teeth. You should see a dentist at least once a year, even if you have no natural teeth or have dentures.
Do not smoke. Smoking can stain your teeth, damage your gums, and increase your risk of oral cancer. Smoking also reduces the blood flow to your gums, which can impair their ability to heal and fight infection. Smoking can also affect the success of dental implants and other restorative procedures. If you smoke, quit as soon as possible. There are many resources available to help you quit smoking, such as nicotine patches, gum, lozenges, or counseling.
Consider a mouthwash. Mouthwash can help rinse away food particles, bacteria, and acid from your mouth. It can also freshen your breath and provide extra fluoride protection for your teeth. However, mouthwash is not a substitute for brushing or flossing, as it can’t remove plaque or tartar from your teeth. You should use mouthwash after brushing or flossing, not before or instead of them. Choose a mouthwash that has the American Dental Association (ADA) seal of acceptance, which means it has been tested for safety and effectiveness.
Limit sugary foods and starches. Sugar and starches can feed the bacteria in your mouth, which produce acid that erodes your tooth enamel and causes cavities. Sugar and starches can also stick to your teeth and form plaque, which hardens into tartar if not removed by brushing or flossing. Limit your intake of sugary foods and drinks such as candy, cookies, cakes, soda, juice, or sports drinks. Instead, choose healthy snacks such as fruits, vegetables, cheese, nuts, or yogurt.
Drink water instead of sugary drinks. Water is the best drink for your oral health, as it helps wash away food particles, bacteria, and acid from your mouth. It also helps keep your mouth moist and prevent dry mouth, which can increase your risk of tooth decay and gum disease. Water also contains fluoride in most areas, which helps strengthen your teeth and prevent cavities. Drink water throughout the day, especially after meals or snacks.
Practice good habits for healthy teeth and gums. Besides following the tips above, you should also avoid habits that can harm your oral health such as biting your nails, chewing ice or pencils, grinding your teeth, or using your teeth as tools to open bottles or packages. These habits can chip or crack your teeth or damage your enamel. You should also wear a mouthguard when playing sports or doing activities that could injure your mouth. If you have any problems with your teeth or gums such as pain, sensitivity, bleeding, swelling, or infection, see a dentist as soon as possible.
By following these tips, you can keep your teeth and gums healthy and enjoy a beautiful smile for life.
