Toothpaste review
So, I struggle with brushing my teeth. It's less of a sensation issue and more of a "lack of short term reward" issue. To remedy this, I've been looking into flavored toothpastes. I hope to find one that I enjoy. Not one to tolerate, but actually enjoy.
Today's toothpaste is Burt's Bees kids strawberry splash. This toothpaste contains 0.14% w/v fluoride. This is just slightly short, as the recommended dose of fluoride for adults is 0.15%.

Okay, so right off the bat, the toothpaste smells really good. It smells like an off brand strawberry soda. Unfortunately, this does not persist into the actual flavor. Let me just say, this toothpaste doesn't taste BAD. It's simply... mediocre. It does have a hint of strawberry, but it's a pretty muted flavor. It kind of has chalky taste and a gritty feel. It also foams A LOT, which is an issue for some people. I also feel like I have to use more toothpaste to actually get my teeth clean, as it kind of like? Dissolves really quick?
It's not bad, but I personally prefer the regular mint over this. Due to the foam and chalky taste, I think I would personally give this a 4.5/10. I could see someone else enjoying this, but it's not for me.
If you have any questions, corrections, or personal opinions, leave them in the comments. I'm not a dentist or qualified in tooth care at all. I'm mostly just ranking this based off of my personal experience and general knowledge. PLEASE, remember to do your own research and correct me if I slip up!

i got this today on amazon and i’ve read a bunch of reviews and i genuinely think this could solve all of my sensory problems that make brushing my teeth such a nightmare
first off: it’s a gel consistency which is less gritty and does not irritate my teeth
it is also a similar formula as sensodyne or at least does the same stuff since it’s fluoridated, cavity preventing, strengthens enamel and is designed with sensitive teeth in mind but without some of the toxic stuff meaning that if you swallow it it’s not a big deal
the last thing i’ll mention is Flavor and Theme— it’s blue raspberry flavored which is my favorite candy flavor ever, also it’s themed after dragons and has a dissolvable food safe glitter to it! that’s so cool!!
if you’re like me and you have sensory issues that make you not want to brush your teeth, i highly recommend getting a flavored toothpaste and don’t worry if it’s labeled as “for kids” like this one is, because if you look at the ingredients and stuff that it’s designed for you’ll notice that adults need all of that too so it’s actually fine
Tumblr media
there is a brand who makes flavored toothpastes aimed at adults called Hismile, which i will also recommend because:
- gel consistency
- pump packaging that’s slim and easy for travel
- same quality; fluoridated, meant for sensitive teeth, cavity prevention, enamel strengthening and non-toxic
anyways i hope this helps anyone else with sensory problems!!

The Secret to Getting Kids Excited About Brushing!
Hey everyone! 🌟
I’ve been exploring ways to help kids get excited about brushing their teeth, and I stumbled upon SprinJene's flavored toothpaste! 🍉🫧 Let me tell you, this stuff is a game-changer! With fun flavors like bubblegum and watermelon, it transforms brushing from a chore into something kids actually look forward to.
What I love most is that it helps instill great dental habits early on. Plus, when it’s time for them to switch to adult toothpaste or total care toothpaste, the transition will be smooth and stress-free! It's amazing how something as simple as flavor can make such a big difference in kids’ oral hygiene routines.
Have any of you tried it? I’d love to hear your thoughts or any other tips you have for making brushing fun! 🦷❤️

Dental care products for adults should come in flavors besides different intensities of mint.

ok kid’s toothpaste is a fucking game changer i know every autistic bitch says this but it’s real
i bought 3 kinds yesterday at dollar tree for Testing TM and i’ve tried 2/3 so here’s my Thoughts
Crayola Silly Scents (watermelon) - probably my favorite so far, very mild flavor and very foamy. little to no aftertaste, but the fluoride taste is a little bit noticeable. it tastes a little like watermelon jolly ranchers and it’s not minty at all! you need very little of it though, since the foam is so much lol.
Verdict: 4/5 i wish the taste was a little stronger tbh. loses a point as well for the creepy fruit on the box
Tumblr media
Crest Kids (sparkle fun) - one i used as a child so it’s very comforting and nostalgic, albeit a little intense for a kids toothpaste. it has a bubblegum-y taste, kind of fruity and a more distinct mouthfeel than the crayola stuff. it has a little bit of aftertaste that lingers a bit, but no menthol feeling.
Verdict: 3.5/5 it’s a little more intense than i remembered but it’s tasty and doesnt overstay its welcome

extremely regional convenience store near me is doing a “mystery donut” and these are the potential flavors you could get. i told the cashier i wanted to try the “black licorice”, “dirt”, and “elvis” flavor and she was like “but what if you get the toothpaste one”
