☔Is there a fic concept you have that you'd like to just explain and share because you're not sure you'll ever write it? If so, what is it?

Ooh yes, here's one! Not sure if I'll ever get around to this one-shot.

Sirius and Remus have been dating for a long time, and in fact they may even be engaged at this point. Remus has never sat for a magical portrait before and, for the special occasion, Sirius gifts him a couple's portrait.

The fic would be written from the point of view of the portrait artist, probably an OC. At first things are fine, Sirius and Remus are really funny and fun to hang out with as they start the portrait, Remus is generous with the snacks and tea, Sirius is charming and chatty.

Then, almost as soon as the portrait artist casts the spell that sets his work in progress painting moving in order to ensure he's getting all the angles and such of the sketch correctly, the drawn versions of Sirius and Remus start bickering. Maybe Painting!Sirius stands on Painting!Remus's cloak, or accidentally spills tea on him, or maybe Painting!Remus decides he doesn't want to sit for the painting anymore and wants to read a book off-screen instead, but regardless they start bickering.

Almost as soon as that starts, real-life Remus and Sirius take sides in their respective Painting fight, and soon the artist is trying to finish this portrait while both real life and painting versions of Remus and Sirius are caught in the throes of a fight (half the time he can't tell if they're fighting or flirting, but either way the effect is the same.) (Maybe they start taking bets about who in the painting will win the fight) (maybe then they start trying to get the artist to pick a side, and get annoyed regardless which side he picks)
