What I think would actually happen if they stole SQQ? Absolutely nothing good for anyone, LBH would Lose His Fucking Mind xD as a more interesting answer though, I like the idea that Shen "Pedantic Nitpicky Asshole" Qingqiu's primary point of argument is that he is not a bride so he cannot be "bridenapped" regardless of demonic tradition or intention!

This eventually leads to them all completely avoiding the Maigu Ridge incident because TLJ realizes that, somehow, SQQ doesn't realize the depths of his son's feelings for him and decides to put all his efforts into being a wingman for his nephew instead because he finds the entire thing absolutely hilarious and rather satisfying after his own sad romance. Obviously someone like SQQ would do much better with his good, loyal nephew than the disappointing offspring of that disastrous relationship!

As for ZZL he just has to assume that LBH must not be treating SQQ anywhere near the way he should be (and like... he isn't wrong at this point, there is a non-zero amount of torture and terror going on here) if SQQ doesn't see himself as being tied to LBH in any way. And if he's not attached to LBH then there's absolutely no reason he shouldn't make his own efforts to seduce SQQ! After all, if LBH isn't valuing SQQ properly then obviously ZZL has to step up because someone as kind as SQQ deserves the best!!!

He’s been good! My washing machine broke last week and I hauled it out the other day in preparation for the new one and he’s been loving his new Top Secret Hiding Spot.

We are taking a little bit of a Baldur’s Gate break right now just because I was getting burnt out. We’re slowly making our way through Mass Effect Andromeda for the second time. I’m very excited to get back to BG3 tho.

I left off right at the start of Act 2. I’m playing a Githyanki monk named Ez’rai and spent way too much time coming up with a backstory for them. I’m going to be romancing Wyll this time. I think Ez’rai growing up in such a harsh culture that didn’t have room for soft romance will go together in such a fun and cute way with Wyll. A noble’s son who is just so sweet and romantic and good.

I've been picking mostly only the essential flirt options with lucanis in the romance so far (I've personally found the dynamic much more natural and mutual when you do that, more like forming a solid friendship slowly and inevitably becoming something else and less like you keep pushing on him and getting little back b/c he seemingly just gets overwhelmed and goes into freeze instead), and I think rye is a pretty hard person to read at the best of times even though he's been Down Real Bad from pretty early on and their chemistry as people is naturally really good. so the way the almost-kiss plays out in this playthrough feels a lot like it has the added layer of lucanis realizing that no but for sure rook is flirting and not just being kind or a good friend* it IS actually happening it's not just wishful/fearful thinking!!! and then uh. maybe going a bit too hard a bit too fast in all the excitement at that revelation haha

*in lucanis' defense he has seemingly literally never had a friend who wasn't his cousin-brother before, under those circumstances I suppose some confusion is extremely natural if not outright expected lmao

i have been successfully thinking about this idea for the past two or three years and it is so wonderfully fleshed out in my head i'm honestly scared to write it. it's title is from mary oliver's "wild geese" and it has three parts (yes, i have thought about it in HEAVY detail)

it's a perfect court artist au that you may have seen me go on and on about before too, but only recently did i write out a chapter for this properly. i tried before to post it but it didn't fit so i changed shit about it again. and now that we have an outline...who knows what will happen. i'll elaborate:

1. the moriyama front isn't sports, it's several businesses including art - any and every form of it. it caters to an exclusive, elitist crowd with clients who would pay a fortune for anything that's sold to them with conviction.

2. kayleigh used to be one of the more successful artists from edgar allen university - a place known to graduate few but extremely talented students.

3. tetsuji decides to create a group called the ravens who learn exclusively from his preferred techniques. kevin and riko have the privilege of learning since they were kids so they're meant to be tetsuji's most successful investment.

4. there's various forms of art: fine arts goes to the strikers, music goes to the backliners, sculpting to the goalkeepers etc etc

5. multiple povs from childhood to adulthood because i wanted to create a silly little nest of my own.

6. nathaniel is sold into the family once his mother dies and tetsuji oversees his training as well. as a musician. his presence changes a lot for kevin and jean.

7. when they're in their second year, kevin's probing into his father's life subtly and finds andrew's work as a sculptor at PSU and decides to reach out

8. andrew agrees (for reasons i don't want to spoil)

9. raven artists perfect court completed.
