There are two things involving Shockwave and Elita-1 I’d really love to see in a transformers series (they are not compatible):

1. Them being absolutely enemies. Elita and Shockwave hate each other. They got like 4 billion years of extra war between them and they cannot stand even the sight of one another. Optimus and Megatron wish they hated each other as much as Shockwave and Elita do. They should get to be silly, terrible rivals at least once, please <3

2. Shockwave and Elita-1 ending the war on Cybertron and for a more crack version of this getting together too. Genuinely I’d be so into a series where like Optimus and Megatron establish communication back with Cybertron and the war is just over. Even funnier the war is over and their respective romantic partners are now married

Suguru who is obsessed with lawn care.

The second you buy your first home with him he’s at the nearest home improvement store buying the newest model lawn mower and weed eater. You’re amused with his commitment, never really paying attention to it when he’s outside taking care of business. You let him have his fun every Saturday, hours spent outside while you catch up on tv shows and your favorite novels.

However, one Saturday morning you get curious and set down your book. You hold your warm coffee mug between your hands, looking out the window from the curtains, watching as he rides the lawn mower back and forth through your backyard, leaving behind perfectly striped grass. The sun beats down on him and you see the sweat glistening on his skin.

You smile, biting your bottom lip to keep from grinning too widely. You have to crane your neck to watch him out the mower up in the shed, wiping his forehead with a towel, but then grabbing the weed eater. He revs it up a few times, the muscles in his arm flexing as he goes.

You’re embarrassed when you meet eyes through the glass window as he cleans up the high grass around the house, his eyebrows raised in amusement. Your cheeks heat and you start to turn around, but Suguru’s unserious ass kisses the window and you, of course, kiss him back through the glass.

Usopp's in the middle of chatting about something when he suddenly gets lightheaded and wobbles. He assures his worried crewmates that he's probably just tired from night watch or something, so he's gonna go sleep-

except he doesn't have time to say much else because in the next moment, he passes out completely. The others are alarmed of course, and Sanji, who was closest, tries to catch Usopp, but he's caught by a mysterious figure instead.

The mysterious figure takes care to handle Usopp gently and the others are taking their stances and telling this unknown to let go of him, but the person ignores them and, eventually, kidnaps Usopp off the ship.

The mysterious figure is someone who sacrifices people with strong (or strong enough) connections to spirits (even one spirit is enough) for power or eternal life or something. They noticed Usopp on Sunny sailing close by their island and went "yoink, mine now". The crew learns this when they ask the island's villagers.

The person never says what fruit they use, but Robin assumed & shared that it was probably the 'mist mist fruit'.

Sanji gets it in his head somehow that Usopp can only be awakened by True Love's Kiss. Zoro thinks he's fucking stupid. They fight about it.

Luffy beats up the mist person, they grab Usopp and get back to the ship.

Usopp isn't in a magical sleep, the mist person just used their mist to make him breathe in some sleeping gas without knowing. He'll be up in a few hours and be just fine according to Chopper. Sanji still kisses Usopp lots while he's asleep, so that maybe Usopp would wake up at the same time as one of his kisses & Sanji could say the 186th kiss was the charm (also because he wanted to kiss Usopp).

There are some more apparent ones like shipping iconic female bosses together, and iirc Malenia x Gwynevere became popular, stuff like this! saying portal’s writing aged poorly because the humor is all “rofl teh epic random!!” 2010s internet humor is like… i guess? only because a lot of that era’s internet humor was massively influenced by the writing in portal and a lot of media tried (and usually failed) to replicate it as a result. it would have aged poorly if the jokes were highly referential and/or felt out of character for anyone but they don’t

idk, the comedy in both portal and portal 2 still hold up imho. the writing is/was S tier and so when everyone else tried to emulate it, you got burnt out on that style of humor. that in no way means it aged poorly
