Art donaldson the picky sleeper who needs a night light, weighted blanket and ocean sounds

While patrick could sleep on a pile of pointy rocks stretched out, drooling like a content cat

Patrick who sleeps like all his bones are broken and watches horror films to relax

these two attempting to sleep with their beds pushed together like how did yall make this work……

patrick is used to crashing face first into a bed and falling asleep to literally anything, so it’s not totally crazy for him to suddenly become apart of art’s nighttime routine. i think it happens gradually, art just keeps adding things to the routine and patrick goes alone with it. first it’s the eye mask, then the mouthguard, then the sound machine, and finally he gets a weighted blanket one year for christmas.

patrick gives him so much shit for being so high maintinence, but neglects to mention that he actually sleeps a lot better with the ocean sounds running in the background. the sound machine even has a little night light and art let’s patrick choose the color they go to sleep to each night so he feels included.

patrick is a fucking blanket hog, but art is a blanket kicker so they have a symbiotic relationship with the weighted blanket situation. the real crux of how they sleep so well though is that fact that they always end up curled up together like kittens before they’re even fully asleep. art will toss his leg over patrick’s hips one night, patrick will spoon him the next, then get huffy when art doesn’t spoon him back the night after so art wraps himself around patrick the night after that.
