I don't get the whole "why didn't Galadriel lift the sword" thing, because what, pray tell, was she supposed to do? Yoink Gil-Galad's sword from his grip? Lift it and probably fall off the cliff because she just woke up and is still unstable on her feet?

Something tells me the cinematics for that wouldn't work as well.

Also, Gil-Galad just lost Aeglos, poor guy doesn't need another weapon stolen from him.

Sauron is Saurenough

Since "I'm just Halbrand" song of Sauron is dedicated to Galadriel:

If you think about it, Sauron (Ken) wanted to turn Middle Earth (Barbieland) into his kingdom (Kendom Land of the free and the men).

Sauron (Ken) has been proposing Galadriel (Barbie) and getting rejected. He is always number two for her (#1 in her mind but #2 for choosing between him and light).

Sauron is a 10 anywhere else and it's his destiny to live and die a life of blonde fragility. Though we won't know his #NewHairNewMe era before he loses his physical form but for now he's blondie.

It will take a lot for her to see the maia behind the unhinged actions and fight for him.

The next part is so Sauron coded:

Obsessed with the scene where Adar explains to Galadriel that the danger of Sauron isn’t that he takes—it’s that he gives. He becomes what the person needs him to be, or provides them what they need.

To Adar he gave children.

To Celebrimbor he facilitated the ability to create and cement a legacy.

For Galadriel, he not only gave her an army, but he was her ally, her friend, when she’d been all but abandoned by her own people.

Even that warg in 2x01, he feeds him and gains his trust.

But don’t you see that he did the same thing to us? As Halbrand in S1, he became who the audience wanted him to be—drawing us into the deception.

Who was (arguably) the most beloved character in LOTR? The most fascinating? The one the story started to swirl around despite Frodo and the ring being elsewhere?

Aragorn.

We ate that reluctant-lost-king-sexy-grimy-mystery hero shit UP.

He became who and what we wanted him to be. It pulled a thread from the original story tied directly to our nostalgic, gullible souls.

That’s why it was as much a gut punch for us as everyone else to realize who he was.
