Aulë helped get Ulmo's Maia back from Melkor's clutches with the power of love.

Ulmo owed him one and decided to return the favour and help Aulë's Maia turn a new leaf by setting him up with Galadriel because the sea is always right.

He even made sure that they get some privacy by smoothly getting the other side characters out of the way.

Ulmo: Good, good. Now kiss. Wait, did I not make myself clear enough?

Ulmo: Yes. Bind yourselves to each other for eternity.

*Two days later*
