As we all know Amazon is taking its time to announce Season 3 official renewal, because the viewership wasn’t the expected and the showrunners are asking for the viewer’s opinions on what they want to see on the show, which means are they keeping an eye on everything connected to the “Rings of Power” fandom, right now. They are currently writing the script for Season 3.

Our fandom needs to let go of the petty inner wars or shipping wars, and focus on producing Haladriel/Saurondriel content on social media to showcase we want more Galadriel and Sauron interactions on “Rings of Power”, because we are their viewership, too.

I don't think we, Haladriels, discuss this moment nearly as much as we should.

When Sauron pulls Galadriel into his illusion, he disguises himself as her brother Finrod.

Just look at this! When he started it, he really thought he had a chance of convincing her and pulling her to his side. But she didn't buy his theater performance, and, as she slowly stood up and walked away, it probably felt for him as if a handful of sand was seeping through his fingers, as that chance was withering away inevitably.

He lost his temper completely.

Her back was turned on him, so she couldn't see him, but we, the audience, did. He was calling for her desperately, his eyes darting around, he breathes heavily, he didn't know what to do here. He, the control freak himself™, had zero control over the situation.

He needed her next to him so much but he couldn't bring her there. So in his extreme desperation he shouts "Look at me!", and that moment was so intense for both of them that in transition to the next illusion Galadriel lost her balance and leaned forward (I think both because of sudden change of location to water terrain and the scream).

Wow. I mean, just wow.

I don't understand why Charlie essentially thinks that Sauron would make Galadriel the equivalent of some sort of secretary for him ? A pretty queen to admire and nothing more ?

Maybe Sauron wants that, but the fact is that it definitely wouldn't happen that way if Galadriel succumbed.

Because we know very well from Tolkien himself that if Galadriel gave in to the temptation of the dark side, she would be much worse than Sauron.

Sauron would therefore have no real control over her. Rather the opposite would happen.

And while I think he would fight to be on the same level as her in terms of power seeing as how he is a control freak, well surely he couldn't help but become anyway a form follower of Galadriel.

After all, he becomes the slave of the rings (and the one ring) and not the other way around according to the show TROP itself as well (and even in the original trilogy with the one ring to which he is literally bind), even though he is their creator. Sauron is therefore technically always subject to something even while attempting to take power.

A lot of people think it would have to do with him being a Maiar and, as much as at first I had reservations, but as time goes by I agree more.
