Steph: B! The Supers have matching jackets! Why don't we have matching jackets?
Bruce: Stephanie, we have several sets of hi-tech, very expensive body armor that is tailored to your measurements, and you want matching jackets?
Steph: Yes.
Bruce: *sighs* I'll have R&D make jackets.
Steph: I'll keep Dick away from the design board.

New prompt idea! Following the defeat of Hawkmoth, Jason is terrified of the idea of Bruce adopting the sunshine child that is Adrien (that and all the puns that the boy makes... Adrien can't meet Dick!!!). He, alongside Damian, decide to try to get Selina to adopt a new cat instead. Unfortunately for everyone (except Adrien), Jon tags along. AdriJon for the ship and maybe Marinette being having a sibling relationship with the Wayne children?
I’m back to writing and when I saw this prompt, I was so excited. If it hasn’t been hinted at enough in some of my pieces, I adore AdriJon. I hope you like it! @elements1999
Stupid Lovestruck Jon
As Gabriel Agreste was drug from his front gates, the crowds surrounding the manor erupted in yet another round of cheers. Even with the hero’s help, the police had trouble keeping them back. Jason and Damian stood on the edge, both wearing matching grim expressions under their hoods and glasses.
“You know what this means D?”
Damian nodded solemnly, the scowl on his face deepening as Gabriel disappeared from their view.
“Father mustn't meet Agreste until we have found a suitable host family for him.”
The idea of Dick and Adrien bonding over stupid puns and forcing Jason and Damian to join in on family game nights was enough to send shivers down the two Wayne’s backs. There was no question about it, Adrien could not be allowed to be adopted.
“What do you think Selina would say if we brought her a kit?”
Damian shifted his gaze to Jason’s face, doing his best to hide his shock that Jason could come up with a coherent idea.
“I believe she would enjoy Plagg very much, Adrien though? Well, that would take some getting used to. How do you propose we get the two to meet?”
Jason’s face darkened quickly.
“It’ll be risky, but we invite them to America. After all, he’s going to need an escape from the media.”
“Perhaps Metropolis?”
The boys nodded as if that was the most logical sentence before both heads snapped up, their eyes widening at the sight of the petite hero that had landed between them. Marinette threw her arms around the boys’ shoulders, dragging them down to her own height.
“There is only room for so much sunshine at the Wayne estate. Dick has monopolized all of it and for the sake of not only you but myself as well, Adrien needs a more stable parental figure than Bruce Wayne. Not that my first choice would be Selena, but I know that she has a soft spot for orphans, no matter what she says.”
Both boys tried to wrestle their way out of her grasp, but it was nearly impossible with Tikki to help her.
“Here’s how it will go. I will go to help the police finalize anything they need for this arrest and you will trail Chat Noir until he decided to transform back. I want to be there as well, but unfortunately, the police aren’t exactly understanding when it comes to personal relationships.”
With a nod, the sound of two smacks echoed as she disappeared into the sky, the only trace of her being matching red spots on both of the Wayne’s necks.
“I really despise when she does that, no matter how much I want to be impressed.”
Jason chuckled as he nudged Damian forward, both of them slipping into the nearest building to change before anyone from the media could catch sight of the American’s on the scene of what would become known as the greatest arrest in Paris’ history.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
“You know, I caught the trail of you following me a couple of blocks back. You don’t have to stay hidden.”
Damian let out a small string of curses as he stepped out from behind the chimney and into view of the black cat.
“I hate magic.”
Adrien chuckled as he waited for Jason to step out from the other side, both boys looking a little sheepish that they had been caught.
“Did Marinette ask you to follow me? Cause that sounds like something she would do. Really, I’m fine guys. Once we started the investigation, so much more began to make sense. He wanted to disguise the fact that he was selfish, wanting just my mother for himself, no matter the consequence. Even if it meant sacrificing me..”
Damian swallowed awkwardly as he glanced between Jason and Adrien. Thanks to Dick’s persistent pestering, he had gotten slightly better at reading emotions and watching his tongue, but this was uncharted territory and as much as he hated to admit it, he had no idea what to do.
Adrien let out a shaky laugh as he stood, brushing off the imaginary dust from his suit.
“Whatever, so what is Maribug’s master plan for avoiding the press? I know she sent you here to collect me for that very reason, so what could it be?”
Jason cleared his throat as he stepped forward, his smile completely see-through as the worry shined.
“Well, how would you feel about a trip overseas? Metropolis perhaps? You’re a huge Superman fanboy, aren’t you? Well, Dami here is besties with his son and we thought it would be a grand idea for you to have a distraction. What do you say?”
Damian frowned at Jason’s choice of wording. Besties felt a little strong for the relationship that he held with Jon, perhaps tolerable coworkers was better suited?
“Okay.”
Both boys tried to hide their surprised faces. They knew he was desperate for an escape, but his response was still quick for their liking. Honestly, they thought it was going to take a bit more convincing than that.
“Let Marinette know that I’ll be on her balcony whenever she finishes up. I’m sure she has a long night ahead of her and will want to talk to me when she can and guys?” Both boys raised their eyebrows, curiosity, and worry nitpicking their expressions. “Thanks for coming to see me.”
And with that, he leaped off the roof leaving the batbrothers to wonder if Metropolis would be the best idea for the man who effectively was orphaned in one day.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
“Dami!”
Before he even had a chance to throw his hands up in defense, Jon had already tackled him in a bone-crushing hug much to his annoyance.
“I told you not to call me by that stupid nickname anymore Kent.”
With much effort, Damian shoved Jon off and into Marinette’s waiting arms.
“Aw, but Dami it’s so cute.” The muffled laughter coming from behind him was not helping.
Damian cut his eyes to where Jason and Adrien stood, both chuckling to themselves. He knew it was Jason’s idea to call up Jon to make this impromptu trip more believable for his father, but when breaking it down, Damian wasn’t completely sure that this option was much better than taking Adrien straight to Dick’s side.
“Anyways, I know I’m just the cover story so that you can meet up with Selina and all that, but do you have time to spare? I’d love to show Mari and Adrien around Metropolis! That’s your name, right? Adrien? Mari used to have so many cutouts of you-”
A smack echoed through the airport lobby as Jon found himself in a headlock courtesy of one petite heroine.
“Oh, you wanna bring that up now Jon? I don’t suppose you remember asking for a couple of my magazines for yourself huh?”
There was an undeniable shade of red emitting from under Marinette’s arm, one all three boys noted. A sputtering Jon finally managed to free himself, the red more visible as he gently pushed Marinette away.
“Hey it’s okay, it’s the cost of being a celebrity right?” Adrien reached out, his hand gently brushing Jon’s arm.
A sudden realization hit Damian as he watched his friend jump nearly 100 feet into the air, the red seemingly brighter than before. As Jon linked arms with Marinette, hurriedly leading them out of the airport, Adrien gently coaxing the two to behave, Damian gripped Jason’s jacket pulling the two of them to a stop.
“What do you want brat? We’re gonna get left behind-” With one killer glare, Jason slowly quieted, curiosity seeping into his expression.
“Jason, is uh- does Jonathon- does he see guys as viable mates?”
There was a slight pause and for a moment, Damian felt a bit relieved that perhaps he was not the only one to fail to notice such a thing about the Kent boy. But the moment ended abruptly as Jason erupted in laughter, drawing the attention from some passing by.
“What is it you buffoon? People are staring at us, silence yourself, and answer me.”
“Me buffoon? No, no, no” Jason’s laughter slowly ceased, but the shit-eating grin that replaced it did nothing to ease Damian’s nerves. “You see, you are the only idiot here. What is Jon? An animal? His mating preference?”
Damian felt his face heating up as his grip tightened on Jason’s jacket, intent on tearing a small hole in his precious belonging.
“Now Damian, I know you are dense, but Jon has always talked about guys with you. Did you just think they were all besties? That your third-wheeling on his dates where they gave each other like pecks on the cheek or held hands was just because you hate physical contact and his other friends didn’t mind it?”
The more Jason talked, the redder Damian felt his face becoming. Sure he had noticed before, but it never felt like it was something that mattered much. Plus, it wasn’t like Jon had mentioned anything to him about coming along on his supposed dates. How was he supposed to know?
Letting go of Jason’s jacket, Damian huffed after his friends, ignoring his brother’s taunting calls. There was only one thought that was still left on his mind.
If Jon had a crush on Adrien Agreste, this could ruin the whole plan.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
He was right.
What was implied to be a one day tour ended with them staying a week in Metropolis. And the worst part? Damian was completely powerless to do anything about it.
“Hey enfant démon, you seen my partner or yours for that matter?”
Damian scowled at Marinette as she leaned against his doorframe, her expression as exasperated as he felt.
“I told you to quit calling me that. Just because it’s in French doesn’t make it better heathen.”
Marinette stuck her tongue out at him, remaining firm in her spot as she waited for her answer. With a great sigh, Damian shook his head, glancing from his book to out the hotel window.
“They snuck out sometime early this morning while I was on my run. Jason was supposed to be keeping an eye on them.”
A slight protest echoed through the suite as Marinette shook her head.
“Do you think we’ll ever get Adrien to meet Selina at this rate? I know he needed this break, but I hadn’t expected to be gone this long. I just turned 17, if it wasn’t for Jason here being a technical adult, my parents would have never let me come. I’m honestly surprised that they haven’t shown up to drag me to Paris.”
Damian nodded slightly, his thoughts straying to the idea of an angry Sabine showing up at their hotel. The thought alone was enough to send a shiver down his spine. He opened his mouth, unsure how to respond when he caught the sound of a set of familiar giggles outside the suites’ door.
“We’re home! Marinette! You won’t believe how awesome the sunrise in Metropolis is when you’re so high up. Jon is awesome!”
The boy tried his best to hide his blush as he gently swatted Adrien’s shoulder, earning a giggle from the blonde.
“Okay lovebirds, how about you stop running off without the rest of us? At least tell us where you’re going, is that too much to ask?”
A simultaneous ‘yes mom’ came from the duo as they ducked out of Marinette’s reach, racing down the hallway.
“That’s it, I’m calling Selena right now. Damian, Jason, between the two of you, figure out a way to keep our rebellious teens in check. It shouldn’t take longer than thirty minutes for her to arrive, I’m sure the two of you can manage.”
Jason peeked his head into Damian’s room, his eyebrows raised matching how Damian felt. Did she have any idea how hard it was to hold down a Kryptonian without using Kryptonite? If only she hadn’t banned Damian from bringing it to Metropolis.
With a small huff of annoyance, Damian swung his legs off his bed, placing his book back on the nightstand carefully. This was going to be the longest thirty minutes of his life.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
“Dammit children, can’t you sit still for one minute!” Jason gripped both boy's collars as he tossed them back onto the couch that they had escaped from.
“Aw, c’mon Jason. I thought you were the fun Wayne! I just want to show Adrien a good time before he had to leave.”
Damian wasn’t sure how much more Jason could take. The vein on his forehead looked like it was about to burst from him resisting beating the two to a pulp. It was honestly a bit satisfying to look at.
“Can you at least explain why we’re on house arrest? The day has just started and we’re already wasting it.”
“I told you already Agreste, Marinette wants you to meet a friend of hers that lives nearby. We can’t have you skipping out before she gets here.”
Adrien sighed dramatically before falling into Jon’s shoulder.
“But waiting is boring!”
Damian felt his nose twitch while staring at the blonde. Honestly, he didn’t know how Marinette was able to keep up with this child-like energy for all the years she had. He was exhausted after a mere thirty minutes.
The sound of the doorknob rattling caught the attention of the four as a collective sigh of relief echoed through the room.
“Well hello there my kittens, long time no see.” Within a split second, Selina was already on top of Damian, pulling him into the biggest hug she could manage.
“Release me you heathen, I do not like being touched!”
Selina giggled as she tightened her hug before releasing him, allowing him to drop to the floor.
“Oh, I know. I enjoy giving you a hard time the most Damiboo.”
Damian cringed at the nickname as he allowed Marinette to help him back to his feet. While Selina was unbearable, he honestly had to applaud Jason for his thought. If anyone could reign in the energy Adrien had, it would be her.
“You must be Adrien. I’m Selina Kyle, so very nice to meet you.”
Adrien swallowed hard as he tentatively reached out his hand to shake hers. No one could blame him, the look on Selina’s face was terrifying as if she was admiring a jewel before shattering it into pieces.
“Now let’s cut to the chase. Do you want to live with me? You obviously need a parent figure in your life, but you also only have a year left until you can be on your own. I know it’s a big change from Paris, but between Zeta tubes and that little horse your friend Marinette carries, you’ll never be too far.”
Damian bit his lip hard, trying not to yell at Selina for her brashness. She was supposed to be gentle and coaxing. Get him to like her, spend the day with him, and then suggest it. Adrien looked as white as a ghost, as expected when someone you’ve only heard stories about shows up in your hotel room with adoption papers.
“Uhm, I don’t really want a guardian. My aunt said she would rent me an apartment wherever I wanted and when the time came for my 18th birthday, she’d sign it over to me-”
Adrien was cut off as Selina placed a finger over his lips, shocking him into silence.
“Honey, I can do that for you. Don’t rely on family who will want to steal your father’s fortune. However, I will have a few conditions.”
Adrien nodded slowly, his eyes glancing around frantically as if asking for help.
“First, you must visit Wayne Manor once a week for a family dinner, I refuse to let you off the hook with no real resemblance of a family. Second, you must rent here in Metropolis where you already have a good person looking out for you. And third, you must force Damian and Jason to participate in these once a week dinners.”
Jason and Damian shouted frantically for him to decline, their plans falling to pieces before them. They only quieted down after Marinette reached back giving them matching red bumps on their foreheads.
“What do you say, sweetie? I can tell you and Jon are already close and I think this would be best for everyone. You had already finished your studies in France so you can take this year to decide what you want to do next in life and I think between the Kents and us, we can help you with that.”
It took less than a minute for Adrien to agree and for Damian and Jason to be bested by two black cats. Selina insisted on lunch to celebrate, dragging Adrien and Jon with her and out the door leaving the three exhausted crusaders behind.
“Well, technically Bruce won’t be the one adopting him.” Marinette shrugged before plopping on the couch, the other two following suit.
“Yeah, but like, we went through all this trouble to stop Dick and Adrien from meeting, and now we will be having weekly dinners with them. Marinette, you are officially forced into this agreement as well.” Jason poked at her side, a small sigh of defeat escaping from his lips.
“Stupid lovestruck Jon.” Marinette and Jason turned their attention to where Damian sat, his arms crossed in annoyance. “I bet if they hadn’t had this week to hang out, Selina wouldn’t have picked up on their stupid crushes. Why do you women always feel the need to meddle?”
The air was silent for a moment before laughter erupted from Damian’s right side. Shaking his head, he couldn’t help the small giggle that came from his own mouth. Stupid Jon, making him attend family dinners with the likes of Dick and Adrien. He was happy for him, not to be confused with the utter annoyance he felt for him at the moment as well.
As they sat there joking about their shared fate and pondering how it could’ve gone differently, one thought was constant across all three of their minds:
Who could’ve planned for stupid lovestruck Jon?

As soon as Hotch exited his office he could hear his agents’ conversations. They were talking about what they’d do tonight. JJ told her fellow friends she’d go out and have trick or treat with Will and Henry, and she invited them over to go with her family. Although the others politely refused as they already set their own plans tonight. He didn’t hear more of the conversation as he said his good-bye and left hurriedly.
                                                         -Hotch-
Aaron looked at his young son with a surprised look on his face. His brows shot up as he observed his son. Jack was wearing one of his shirt and suit jacket, his dark blue tie loosely hung around the boy’s neck. Obviously, the long sleeves were dragging behind Jack. At least he wasn’t wearing Aaron’s suit trousers to be dragged along the carpet.
“That’s not Spiderman, is it?”
“No,” Jack gave his father a faint baby smile.
“Not Superman too.”
“No!” Jack giggled.
“I really don’t know, I give up.” The father held his hands up, gesturing surrender.
“Silly Daddy, it’s you!”
Aaron’s chest swelled in happiness and relief knowing Jack loves him to be Aaron despite he’s always not there for his son. He lifted his young son and Jack leaned on his shoulder.
“Before we go Trick or Treat, is it okay for Daddy’s friend to join us?”
“Not Uncle Dave?”
“Oh, he’s busy,” he was sure his mentor was busy, “he’s Daddy’s other best friend and I want you to meet him.”
“Okay.”
“Yeah?”
 “Yeah.” Jack returned the grin.
                                                        -Hotch-
It was Halloween night, but to you it was just another usual day. You didn’t decorate your house at all, just plain all light off where you just stuck in your room. You could hear laughter and some music from outside, but you were absentmindedly thinking what should you watch for the night. Finally, you could get some sleep this morning and unlike other days you felt rather refreshing and You were humming ‘This is Halloween’ from ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’ as you dragged your finger on your phone screen. You missed Aaron, but you decided to not call him tonight. You remembered he saying he always stays with his son on Halloween, so you wanted him to spend time with his son. Suddenly, your phone screen changed, and Aaron’s photo popped up as your phone rang.
“Hi,” you replied rather shyly.
Aaron’s low voice greeted you back. “Do you have any plan for tonight?”
“No, why?” You could hear some voices and from the call, he must be outside with his son for Trick or Treat. Suddenly, your house bell rang, and you excused yourself from Aaron. “Give me a sec, I think some children are here.”
You groaned inwardly as you contemplate what to say to the poor children who came to you. You didn’t have any candies to give them. As soon as you opened the door wide, a grinning man greeted you with a boy grabbing his hand.
“Trick or treat, Mr. L/N!” Jack giggled at your surprised face.
“I, I, wow.” You didn’t know what to say to the boy, or to his father.
“I already told Jack you didn’t prepare any candies, so you don’t have to look so worried.” Aaron slightly smirked at you. “But as you don’t have any candies to spare us, you could accompany us? What do you say, Jack?”
“Let’s go!” The small boy laughed as he held his treat basket high. His long sleeves were hiding his hands, but he was tightly holding the empty basket efficiently.
                                                        -Hotch-
As you walked along next to your boyfriend and his son, for the first time in years you observed the surroundings. You’ve been busy with your study and work before, it’s been sometimes you actually had a day off on Halloween. You saw various characters from fairy tales, comics, movies, books, and legends. You could even recognise some historical and cultural outfits. It was very exciting night for everyone as they masked themselves as certain characters, and to you it was fascinating to see everyone was mingled together happily. Toddlers to teenagers, even young adults were having good time under their disguise. Though almost every adult was not wearing any masks on their face even if they were wearing costumes. Jack being an outgoing boy, already made friends from a group of children in his age, ran along with them to get candies. Aaron’s eyes never left his son’s back as Jack walked along with other kids, though his hand was firmly grabbing yours.
“He’s a good boy.”
“That’s why I’m more worried,” Aaron sighed as his eyes lock into his son’s excited smile.
“He must love you so much, wearing your suits.” You laughed as Jack ran back to you two.
“Look how much I got!” Jack showed you and Aaron his nearly overflowing basket.
“Wow, that’s so many! Are you going to eat tonight?”
“I want to, but it’s gonna hurt my tummy.” The boy pouted and you couldn’t help but smile at that.
“You can have a few tonight, and take some to school tomorrow.” Aaron smiled, then his ears perked up as he heard some music.
“I think there’s some dance floor, it’s been like a music festival since a week ago.” You rolled your eyes, thinking back how you’ve been sleep deprived because of that. You had to sleep in the afternoon for the past days in order to work your schedule, but the music always managed to wake you up.
“Can we go there?” Jack asked you two with his puppy look. And you couldn’t just say ‘no’ to that look. You held your hand to the boy and grabbed your hand with his smaller hand.
“Let’s go.” Aaron gave you a raised eyebrow, but you pointedly ignored him.
                                                        -Hotch-
Well, you finally found out why you couldn’t sleep. There were so many people on the dance floor, whether you were young or old, everyone was together and danced along. The music kept changed, sometimes it became rock, sometimes it became romantic, sometimes it became just exciting rhythm. Aaron looked as if he wasn’t sure to let his son on the dance floor where he could easily lose the sight of Jack.
“There, the dance floor for children.” You were surprised to see another dance floor for cheery children, further it was guarded with police officers. You were relieved to see the children were protected, but in the other hand you were sad to see the world was dangerous to children. The officers were wearing something like animal ears on their heads, or even colourful costumes, but you could easily spot their badges on their waist.
“Can I, can I? Please Daddy?” Jack jumped up and down with his huge eyes looking at his father.
“Alright, but you shouldn’t follow anyone okay?”
“I know, Daddy.” Jack beamed and scrambled to the dance floor and joined other children.
“Shall we?”
“Huh?” You replied unintelligently and he just dragged you to the dance floor.
Unlike others, you two didn’t wear anything like Halloween. But from Jack, Aaron could say he wanted to match with his son, but you? You were just wearing daily outfit, jacket and sport trousers.
“Wait, give me a second.” Soon he disappeared, leaving you in the middle of people.
Without Aaron it felt like you were in the ocean, the swarm of people were like waves hitting you from every direction. Maybe you could just leave the dance floor and see how Jack was doing.
“Now it was very very bad of me to leave you here, wasn’t I?” Aaron’s voice startled you, as his arms wrapped around you. “Were you scared?”
“Are you stupid? I wasn’t scared!” You huffed like a primary school student as if someone read your thoughts.
“Sorry,” he, but didn’t look like sorry at all, only grinning widely at you. His arms shot up, and put something on your head. “I felt like you’d look cute on this.”
“Mr. Hotchner, are you drunk?” You guffawed as your hand touched some fluffy thing on your head.
The song soon changed to a romantic music and people soon shifted their positions and moves. Following them, Aaron’s large hands grabbed yours. You looked at him, and noticed he also wore the fluffy animal ears like you.
“Perhaps, I’m drunk by your presence.” his whisper sent a jolt to you.
“Who’re you, and what have you done to my boyfriend.” You laughed at the rare sappy Aaron Hotchner.
“I wanted to thank you.” He gave you a luminous smile under the moon light. “You’re good with Jack, and Jack really likes you.”
“Well, he IS cute little Hotchner unlike usual indifferent big Hotchner. I’m glad you and Jack brought me out here, you know. And the ears.” As you two danced slowly in silence, soon the song ended in much to your disappointment. “You and Jack can sleep at my home, I have night shift tomorrow.”
“If you’re okay?”
“I’d love to.” You smiled broadly. “Let’s go find Jack.”
“Let’s.” Aaron reciprocated your smile, yours and his hands tightly locked to each other.

Headcanon- Kon Kent Things
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Just Conner Kent being Conner Kent. or Konathan Kent for that matter.
Requested: By @comicsandhoney and I think @offendedfishnoises and @catxsnow not sure though. Taglist is at the bottom. Feel free to message me if you would like to be added to the taglist :) Love ya! Here we go!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-       In Titans tower, far too many people have had near-heart attacks because they got up at night to get water and saw a floating body in the kitchen.
-       “AhhHHhhahaha!!” everyone rushes to the kitchen to see poor Garfield shuddering on the floor.
-       Tim: “What’s wrong?”
-       Gar: “Possessed! Its possessed!” He points to an unconscious floating body, clinging to a blanket in the middle of the kitchen.
-       Tim: “Ohhh, don’t worry about him. Conner sleep-flies.”
-       Yes, my friends, Conner Kent sleep floats. Now to prevent this, Tim has started tucking him in very tight. Bart once resorted duct taping his legs to the bed.
-       Kon will never invade your privacy by reading your thoughts but he will on occasion plant gift ideas into your head around a friend’s birthday or his own for that matter.
-       He just happened to be walking by Cassie when she was struck with a perfect gift idea for Tim’s birthday.
-       Kon has 16 leather jackets and one of them has rhinestones on it. His favorite one is the custom leather jacket that ma and pa Kent got for him and Jon. They have a matching set of 4 and there’s a picture that Kon keeps of Ma Kent, Pa Kent, him and Jon in a group hug, wearing their matching leather jackets.
-       He gets along really well with Jason Todd. People don’t notice it.
-       The two aren’t best buds like he and Tim are but Conner really admires Jason. Once when Tim was running late to the manor and Conner showed up early, he and Jason went for chilidogs on vine street. Thanks to Jason, Kon knows the best local places in Gotham.
-       Kon was afraid that when Jon was born, he’d be left behind because Clark and Lois finally had a son they asked for. Kon and Clark’s relationship started out a bit rocky and he was worried he couldn’t be like real family to them.
-       When Lois went into labor, Kon was right there. He called Clark and took Lois to the hospital. Clark, Ma and Pa joined along the way. When Jon was born, all the fear left Kon’s heart because all he could see was this little angel.
-       Lois: “Conner, I want you meet your baby brother,” He felt so happy. He wasn’t replaced; he was an older brother now.
-       Lois had Kon hold him and he was so scared to. She had to reassure him “Don’t worry, you’ll be fine.”
-       Kon had never felt as happy as he did when baby Jon held his finger. They didn’t even know yet if he had powers but boy did that baby have strength in his left hand. He was so small.
-       When Lois and Clark saw Kon holding Jon and rocking him, they said out loud “I love our family.”
-       Conner and Jon have weekly water-gun fights.
-       Jon has once called Conner out for his crush in front of them. “You like that person! Talk to them.” Toddlers are loud and they definitely heard. They found it cute though. Jon was a little wingman.
-       Conner really loves corn.
-       He is very amused by the way humans perceived aliens before they knew about superman and Martian Manhunter.
-       Just for trolling, he will hover over meadows and lay down the grass in perfect circles to freak people out and Clark will try to scold him but start laughing while trying.
-       He and Tim have sleepovers that are basically just games of ‘Can I actually get Tim to sleep tonight?”
-       His favorite color is red, but not just any red. He likes cool-toned deep crimson shades.
-       Kon loves Ma Kent’s rhubarb pies and Pa Kent’s hamburgers. Those are his comfort foods.
-       He has a minor fixation on foreign television. This boy will sit in a room and watch a 4-hour Bollywood movie in one sitting with nothing but subtitles, popcorn and very dramatic facial expressions. “Shah Rukh did WHAT?”
-       His K-Drama marathons take up a lot of his mental capacity.
-       “No, Tim, Park Seo Jun is was really her hero all along. He’s the main love interest! ...Puh-lease! They have so much more chemistry than that other guy! He doesn’t deserve her!”
-       Conner loves math.
-       He had learned how to paint nails over the course of Lois’s pregnancy to help her paint her toenails and now he paints Ma Kent’s nails once a month.
-       Kon is a big love bug.
-       He’s actually really good with pickup lines.
-       He’s awkward with opening up about feelings but he gets there eventually.
-       He takes Jon to Build-A-Bear too often. There are over 30 in Clark’s house now. Jon’s favorite is a white dog dressed as superman that they named Krypto. Jon has an entire justice league of stuffed animals by age 6.
-       Wonder woman is a bunny. She finds it endearing. Green arrow is a monkey and he’s amused by that.
-       Kon loves dogs and volunteers and rescue shelters.
-       Conner has cut his own hair only once and never again. Tim tried to fix it. Never again. They eventually went to the parlor.
-       Kon cooks really well.
-       We will ignore the time he had Jon try to heat up food with his eyes. It may or may not have ended up with custard on the ceiling. Luckily, Lois doesn’t look up too often. Clark on the other hand…well, he kept the secret.
-       This boy is a big goofy sweetheart.

Findings of a Cult

Ben Hargreeves x Fem!reader (Not my gif)
Requested by anon “ben hargreeves x reader fluff? au where benny lives possibly”
A/N- I love this, hope you all like it too. Anyway the next chapter for Faults is coming soon, I’m working on it :)
Warning- mentions of attempted rape, light violence and besides that fluff.
———-
Stay calm. Stay calm.
You look over your shoulder, still seeing the same creepy men not so casually following behind you, their eyes dead set on you.
Again. Stay calm. It’s all just a coincidence.
You pick up your pace and shove your hands in your jacket pocket, feeling the beat of your heart spike at the sound of the constant and loud footsteps still stomping behind you, hushed voices shared to each other. You try to look around for any help, or anyone to cling onto in order to fake a familiarity with them to get these men off your back, but no one comes to sight, anyone that could be of any help tucked away under a roof that protects them from the cold raindrops. Unlike you, seeking refuge in any place apparently was impossible today.
Stay calm…
A hopeful smile finally creeps into your face at the spotting of a red neon sign that simply read ‘bar’.
Points for creativity.
However you practically run to the building, seeing the door get bigger the closer you get. Only reaching the door was a broken dream as one of the men grabbed your arm and dragged your fighting body to a dark alleyway. You try to kick and punch them, struggling under the hold of four men, but they’re stronger and hold down your arms with their own, while their legs press back your own to the brick wall, a sudden sinking feeling felt on the pit of your stomach at the sight of their creepy smiles.
“Let go!” You bellow, not standing without a fight even if they had you beat. “Let go!”
One of the men cover your mouth steps closer, his smile twisting into a cruel smirk as he stepped up, bringing out a dagger from within his pocket and pointing at your throat to he remain quiet, the abrupt action making you swallow thickly and feel your whole body tremble, feeling tears pick up at the corner of your eyes. As the first man moves his other further down your body, he’s suddenly ripped away, a loud yelp leaving his lips at the quick action. His friends drop you to turn and watch the sudden interruption, noticing their bodies physically freeze upon sight of something with tentacles appearing out of the night, only it wasn't something, but rather someone?
You only saw flashes of his face as the lamp post across the street hit his face and illuminated in a yellow hue, whatever came out of his body was just a blur as they moved fast to pick up the other men and throw them across the ground, leaving them to lay unconscious.
A gasp escaped your lips as you tried to back away, even if you physically couldn’t anymore with the wall behind you. You still tried though, the image of the man with tentacles that were now gone, freighting you and making your breath pick up until they were heard as soft pants.
“I’m not going to hurt you, I promise.” The man assured you, raising his hands to prove his innocent claim. “I just want to make sure you’re okay.”
You wanted to believe him, but what the men wanted to do left you unsure and doubtful. Even if this man did save you.
“Please,” You whispered, “I just—”
“My name is Ben, you can trust me.” He tried again, stopping a couple before you as he noticed you were still shaking and your eyes were widened with fear. “I promise you, I don’t want to hurt you. I was raised to save people, promise.”
You swallow thickly and stop, slowly tilting your head to meet his gaze, finding it warm and surprisingly assuring, a fact that was the complete opposite from the other men.
“Let me take you inside, so you can catch your breath and drink some water.” The man you now know was Ben suggests, his words assuring you in every way possible. The kindness in his eyes slowly makes you relax and slowly nod your head in agreement to his words.
“O-Okay.” You stammer, making a noticeable smile detectable on his lips even with the darkness basking his face.
Your answer should have been a blunt ‘no’, given your previous event, but there was just something about him that you fully trusted with your whole heart. He only frieghtned you because of what you had seen come out of his body, but if he meant to hurt you, he would’ve done it already. Right? Well firstly he wouldn’t have even suggested going inside the bar if he meant anything bad, and mostly likely would have taken you already and led you inside the buzzing place that had a couple of people inside it, most of those people wearing the same light blue clothing.
Ben came to stop by the bar and just ordered the simple water before guiding you to a simple booth, his eyes following your movements as you sat across from him, not noticing the hitch in your breath when his face was finally fully visible. The smile that he had offered you outside, complimented his gentle features, the kindness that was behind his warm brown eyes that were yet so enticing. He unlike the other men didn't look at you like you were some sort of meal, nor did he look at you like you were some broken you that needed fixing. Thankfully. He just looked at you simply with a kindness that didn’t match many other men that you had met. He was also very attractive, that was also another fact your still frightened mind could tell.
You drink a sip of the water he had gently placed in front of you before offering him a small smile and words that were meant to be shared moments ago. “Thank you, for uh, helping me out there,” you began to fidget with your hands at how nervous you were getting, at the feeling of your cheeks burning under his kind gaze, “I thought I was goner. Thanks...Ben.”
Ben smiles and offers a short nod, “no problem, men shouldn’t treat women like that.”
You sigh, “and yet they do. They’re a plague to this already cruel world.”
“I can agree with you on that.”
After his words it gets quiet, what you intended to ask him, lost and stuck on the top of your stomach, feeling somewhat scared to step over the boundaries, but feeling a general curiosity for what you had seen.
“So,” You softly began, tucking a loose strand of hair behind your ear and keeping your eyes on your drink for a moment before you regained some sort of confidence. “What you did. I mean what I saw coming out of your body, are you some sort Superman or something?”
Ben chuckled and shook his head, “or something.”
A smile tugged at the corner of your lips and you met his gaze, “it was pretty scary, but it was also cool.”
“It wasn’t, you’re lying.”
“No. No, I’m not. It’s very cool.”
A noticeable blush grew on Ben’s cheeks, every attempt he did to try and hide failing since the yellow light above illuminated every inch of his face. “You are the first one outside of my siblings to ever think that.”
You shrug, “well, it’s not everyday I see someone with your….abilities, it’s fascinating.”
“Thank you.” Ben smiles, his gaze falling on some nicely dressed man who passed by the booth offering Ben two thumbs up, an audible scoff leaving Ben’s lips as a response to the action. “Do you have anywhere to go?”
You smile and take another drink of your water before setting it on the table, “you want me out or something?”
Ben’s eyes go wide and he shakes his head rapidly, “no, no, no. Just...curious.”
“I was just teasing.” You assure him, feeling now more calm and more yourself at his presence. “But no, I actually have nowhere to be. So I’m free for the rest of the night.”
Ben showed a shy grin as he nodded, “good. I can stay with you as long you want, and if you want me to take you home, I can.”
“You’re too kind, but thank you.”
Home was a rather difficult word. Yes, you had a home, but it was filled with six other roommates, in a two bedroom apartment….well roommates wasn’t the right word to describe your family, but since they acted like passing strangers with you then they were nothing but that. Sadly.
“Are you sure you’re okay?” He asked curiously, with worrying, spilling all over his features. “Are you hungry? We can go someplace, where they sell anything but nachos.”
You grin and shake your head, “nope all fine.” The same elegant man passes again and shoots Ben a wink, your cursoristy now stabbing at you to get to know who it was. “Who is that? He’s passed twice and both times he’s given you these for teasing gestures.”
Ben sighed, pulling his gaze from the man to meet your own, “my brother.”
“Oh,” you look bald at the man that was now flirting with the bartender, a genuine laugh coming past your lips, “he seems.”
“Over the top? Crazy? Annoying?”
You shake your heads, “No, he seems cool.”
Ben groans, “not you too. He’s already got a cult following him who think the same way.”
“A cult? Really?” You prop your elbows on the table and lean in closer, “how does he make a cult? Please share all the gory details.”
Ben leans in with an amused smile, “fine. But you were asking for the story.”
“Okay, okay, just go.”
The rest of the night passes, time becoming irrelevant to both of you as you both shared stories. Given, his own stories were a hundred times more interesting than yours, but he still cared enough to listen to yours without a sign of boredom, he just hung onto every word of every story. You both shared laughs, and smiles, never really looking away are being bothered by his brothers followers, or his actual brother. Ben was a great guy, a trait you noticed within minutes of meeting him. He was kind and very handsome, was not egoistical or an ass like the other guys you had met during your life. He was incredible .
And yes, you had only met him, but there was a spark that you felt, unlike any other feeling. The thought of him leaving to never be seen scared you, actually scared you. You wanted more and yet that was impossible.
“Hello my children.” Ben’s brother suddenly interrupted, with a mischievous grin on his face.
“Klaus.” Ben greeted through gritted teeth. “Do you need something?”
Klaus looked away from you before taking a seat by you, his grin not all faltering, “well, yes, it’s time to go my loving brother.”
Ben sighed and looked at you, a frown now taking over the smile he carried, “I guess it’s time I leave, but we can take you home if you want?”
“Or you can join us on our worldly travels? Nothing but promised fun.” Klaus interjected as he tilted his head to look at you, “that way my brother here can have some much needed company. He’s sort of lacking in that department.”
“Klaus.” Ben hissed, offering you an apologetic look.
Klaus shrugged, “what? You are friendless right? That’s what I meant, you sicko.”
You giggle and shake your head.
“So what do you say, do you care to join my—”
“Your cult?” You interrupted, making Klaus scoff.
“Is that what Ben told you? Rude.”
Ben simply shrugged as he crossed his arms over his chest, his eyes wandering your face for an answer he hoped was one he secretly wanted to hear.
“I..” you pause, where are you really going to do this? The real question, was this an actual debate? You liked Ben, but what if he turned to be like every other guy? Yes there was this connection you felt and you knew he felt, but what if this ended terrible?
Then you would be stuck in a cult.
“It will be fun, promise.” Klaus insisted.
You meet Ben’s gaze and smile softly, the answer you searched for the moment he mirrors your smile.
It was going to be a risk, but one you were going to take. Only for Ben though. No one else.
You grin and share a short nod, “I’m in.”

AU TIME!
This time it’s green lantern style
This entire thing is going to be based of an oc that I have not yet actually created...just fyi...
The Green Lantern I chose..*dramatic drumroll*
Hal Jordan!
Let’s make something clear...I don’t read a lot of the comics (I try but I don NOT have the attention span for that)
I watch mostly Batman based movies
And what I saw...I didn’t like
I know in one series (I believe it’s Young Justice) they are trying to decide who to let into the league
The other green lanterns already in the league are steadfastly against Hal joining the league
He is childish, immature, irresponsible and they just off about him
They don’t give him a chance
If you want to go off the live action movies (which I am entirely tying that into this AU) Hal was the FIRST and ONLY human to ever be a green lantern
We can pretend the others came a little later
So let’s say he was the first green lantern on earth
He fought hard to protect the planet (it’s that one animated movie when the JL first meets and it has Cyborg and I think Shazam’s origins in it... I forgot the name)
He was the only green lantern, fuck they didn’t even know he existed till he showed up
But the big three found him to immature and slowly edged him out till he didn’t become part of the league
He was like okay, what ever, I’m still a hero and this is still my planet (and sector of space) to protect and I’ll keep doing that
He’s a little hurt but it’s okay
Until the other green lanterns show up
When he became green lantern he was one a very tight schedule and had to learn a lot of things on the fly because he couldn’t get a full training from the green lanterns
And after he defeated the threat he just kinda...forgot, to bust protecting the planet and his people
So compared to a lot of new lanterns he is very undertrained, but no less serious
Now the other lanterns show up
And they are almost immediately brought into the league
And.. he has to admit, that kinda hurts
He was the first
And now he will be the last
They got more training and despite him being their senior as a lantern, the act like the bosses of him
The act superior to him and treat him like trash
It hurts
And brings down his self esteem a lot
The other hero’s still hang out with and talk to him like nothing is wrong
Like he hasn’t been slighted
And pushed to the side
He realizes they just keep getting his hopes up only to let him down later
And he just kinda sits on it and simmers and it gets worse and worse and suddenly there’s a red lantern ring coming right for him
Now this is where and OC would come in
I’m making the example female because I have never seen a female Green Lantern and there might be but not a popular one
Suddenly the ring is stopped by a ball of green light
Another green lantern
This one female, her eyes glow with an unearthly shine, even with her mask
Her hair seems to float around her and she has marks across her face and horns on her head
She’s not human, but she came in the direction of earth
She motions for him to follow her and she opens a portal to the green lantern base
The other lanterns can’t meet his eyes
They know why he’s here and they know where they failed, she made sure of that
She releases the red ring to some heavy duty greens and the salut her as she walks with him down the halls
She’s short, barely coming up to his shoulder, but it is very clear who has the power here
She brings him to a nice sitting room and deactivated her ring, and to his surprise, removes it
He had never seen a lantern remove their ring at the HQ and barely ever on earth
She sits him down and explains as much as she can
She’s not human, but she has been living on earth since Krypton fell
(For this AU I’m going to make the Krypton sector a fairly toxically radioactive place so only few species can withstand it, green lanterns can with the glowing shield around them, but not without it so they couldn’t stay on the planet)
This was her sector as she was one of the only green lanterns that could withstand the radioactiveness of the planet
Her home sector was much the same before it was destroyed by war
She reveals that she protected this sector on her own for millennia, through generations of the royal family (I’m making Superman the last prince of Krypton ok)
She was devastated when it fell because she wasn’t strong enough, to injured, to tired, to save them
She saved Supes pod and brought it to earth, a place she knew vaugely from her own planets war
Krypton was gone and she felt like a failure so she set down her ring and hadn’t even looked at it for almost 40 years
Until she caught wind of a lantern on earth
Who wasn’t fully trained
Who was treated like shit
Who was slighted and used and manipulated
And basically said fuck it, I’m going to train another lantern
Now she was one of the first
One of the oldest lanterns (though she didn’t look a day past 25 if Hal could say so himself)
She knew all the wisdom he would need
And she would stand beside him and protect the Milky Way sector
Hers were gone, so the elders reassigned her to the Milky Way and assigned Hal as her apprentice
They knew that he was destined for greatness and that he would blossom under her training
They agree to keep their knowledge of each other and her reassignment between each other
The other earth lanterns did not protect the sector like they were supposed to
So they would do it themselves
So she brought him under her metaphorical wings and trained him
And he became better
And because I love batman so much let’s say she lives in Gotham
And she’s fairly high up their on the social scale
Obviously she can had and transform her very not human characteristics flawlessly
And she’s been around for millions, if not billions of years, she’s basically a goddess I guess
So she knows her way around money and the good hustle
So she probably knows Bruce Wayne
And probably knows he’s Batman, not that he knows this
So there’s a gala like mabey a year after Hal starts his training
And he’s a fucking fast learner, which is good because the galaxy really needs its protectors
(Some how the JL haven’t noticed that their are next to no alien attackers in the last year, the word has spread and no one wants to go against Kryptons Guardian and her apprentice)
She’s literally shown him the universe
(And this isn’t necessarily a love story, I’d like to think of it as brother sister relationship that they end up developing,or like best best friends, but not lovers)
Anyway Wayne Gala
She’s invited and as a regular guest she is allowed to bring a guest
So she Chooses Hal
She knows that the rest of the JL was invited and some other hero’s as well
And she makes sure Hal knows as well
She tells him he doesn’t have to come
But no, with her guidance he has grown so much more confident and fuck it he’s probably almost as scary as her now and can almost as easily command a room
He’s come far
So they show up
And at first no one really recognizes him
He’s changed
He looks more confident, but he’s still got that childish spark (she told him she never wants him to lose that)
He has a new haircut
And the suit
It matches her dress
Green, for justice
So they don’t recognize him at first
Now the OC is a regular so while Hal gets them drinks and brings their jackets and her purse to Alfred (“a pleasure to see you here Master Jordan”) OC is found by one of the batboys
Let’s say Dick
Because he loves the lady’s
And he brings her over so Bruce can show off this lovely lady, and powerful business partner off to his friends
She know who they are (the other two lanterns are their and for some reason they feel very nervous around her)
She introduces herself and somehow she senses Hal come up behind her and introduces him without even looking
They all sweat drop
And then they start talking
They share story’s together, and laugh and act like nothing is wrong and it all comes to a point to where she responds to a story from... let’s say one of the other lanterns (sue me, I don’t know their names)
And she’s all like “oh that reminds me of this one time on Krypton”
And Hal is like “oh you mean the time...”
And the others are like wtf, who is this girl
The party ends and they go home, but that’s just the beginning
I don’t know what else to put so feel free to add your own stuff!!

day 19 of 30 days with NCT
Synopsis: in which mark lee is the superman you never thought you needed
// how can i resist when you look at me like that? // (x)
--
[18:15]
“So… you’re saying your family has been bugging you about bringing home a man ever since you broke up with that one engineering major a few years ago?” There was something so agitating to you about the calm way your roommate spoke, rolling the words over in his mouth a few times before they actually fell in a slow drawl from his lips. Auburn hair pulled out of his cocoa colored eyes with an old snapback, bottom lip caught between his teeth, and a playful smirk tugging the edge of his lips… Mark really was the perfect choice for a fake boyfriend. Not that you’d ever admit it to his face.
His eyes fell back down to the screen of his phone and he let out a long exhale, knowing full well you were stewing in nerves beside him. “Hmm… And you don’t want them to bother you about it again this time, so you want me to be your plus one for your cousin’s wedding? In two days?”
“Y-yep,” you stuttered, avoiding his teasing gaze. Toying with the edge of your shirt, you ignored the way he leaned closer, slipping his phone into his sweatpants pocket to give you his full attention. A large, large part of you wanted him to say yes because he was… Mark was everything your family could ever want in a guy for you. You didn’t blame them, after all, he was everything you could ever want for yourself.
“And I completely understand if you don’t want to,” you continued, motioning frantically about you to emphasize whatever the point was that you were trying to get across. “That was a lot to spring on you when it’s in a couple days. I just- you’re like the ideal guy. My parents would love you. You-you’re smart. You’re respectful an-and polite and pretty damn good looking- I mean-I…yeah. I-I’ll pay for your rental suit if you come?”
The remainder of your words trailed off as the weight of what you had just said hit you like a ton of bricks. Burying your face in your hands, you groaned. Loudly. Great, Y/N. Way to sound like a sad, single, desperate old lady. The good natured chuckle coming from your roommate didn’t do anything to assure you either. It wasn’t as if this was the only favor you had ever had to ask of him, and it wasn’t as if you liked him like that. No. You didn’t like him at all. Your heart never ever sped up when he hugged you or looked at you with that adorable half smile. You never found yourself daydreaming about those silly things, like his laugh or the way his brows furrowed when he was concentrated… more than way really necessary anyway.
“What would you like, Y/N?” His voice was soft, reassuring in a way that didn’t quite match the mischievous smirk on his face mere seconds ago. With a sigh, you peeled your hands away from your eyes, a squeal jumping to your throat when you saw just how close Mark was to you.
“I-...” Somehow, all coherent thoughts vanished from your mind, leaving you to stare, lips parted, at the brown haired male gazing just as intently at you. Your eyes made quick work tracing every detail of his cherubic features. From the slope of his forehead to the shape of his eyebrows, the angles of his cheekbones and the gentle curve of his smile. It took all your might to tear your eyes away from his. When you spoke finally, there was a timid tinge to your words. “I’d like you to come.”
Although the silence between the two of you had never before been awkward, the weight of this unnatural quiet set a deep tension in your bones.
“Sweet. That’s that, then.” He stood suddenly, reaching up to stretch his arms above his head. In a flash, he turned, heading towards his room without any explanation.
“Wait- what?” You scrambled up after him. “Mark, wha-where are you going? Was that a yes?”
“To my room, dummy.” Mark paused, waiting by his door for you to catch up. A hesitant glance towards his unkempt living quarters had him rolling his eyes, smile still very much present on his lips. “Come help me choose a suit.”
“No way- are you serious?! You-you’re coming? And you already have suits?” The excitement in your voice rose to a squeal and relief flooded your body. Within mere moments, your arms had found their way around his neck, pulling him down to an overjoyed embrace. “Thank you so much!”
If only you had pulled away to see the light dusting of crimson settling in on his cheeks, if only you had stopped your mantra of ‘thank you’s’, if only you had stopped in your jumping up and down to get a good look at him… You would have felt the presence of his arms resting around your body. You would have seen the longing in his eyes when you stumbled towards your room to retrieve the cute dress you had chosen in the hopes he’d agree. You would have heard the mumbled, “how can I resist when you look at me like that.”
Mere days ago, you were beyond nervous. The idea of going to a wedding with a plus one - and a fake one at that - sent your mind reeling. Even just going through Mark’s closet with him, watching with pink cheeks as he modeled suit after suit for you had your stomach chock full of butterflies in no time. But now that the suit had been chosen, now that you had seen the look of pleasant surprise on your mother’s face, now that you had introduced him to each and every one of your extended family members…  it was already half-way through the reception and the flipping and twisting within you still had yet to calm down.
Perhaps alcohol would help. The two of your had planned on calling an uber anyways. But here you were, leaning lazily against the bar, fighting to push the sound of trashy music out of your mind. Why would that play Lil Mosey at a wedding?
“Hey there, stranger.” Fingers danced along the line of your waist, running up and down the seam of your moderately slinky dress. A familiar warmth settled over your body when Mark’s voice sounded low by your ear, husky from the few sips of champagne he’d just had. “You look a bit lonely.”
The sweet sound of your giggles sent a rush of heat to his cheeks within seconds. “No,” you murmured, spinning around in his arms to rest your hands on the lapels of his suit jacket. “Not lonely. Just a little disappointed.”
They say drunk words speak a sober mind and immediately, Mark’s grin faded. From your waist he took one arm, reaching up to tuck a stray piece of hair behind your ear. “Why disappointed, darling?” A wistful sigh left your lips as your hazy eyes gazed adoringly up into his. ‘Darling’ sounded heavenly coming from his lips. All the breath escaped his lungs when you pouted, resting your cheek against his hand that had yet to leave your skin. Mark really would be the best boyfriend.
“You haven’t asked me to dance, yet.”
“Oh, was that all?” When you nodded, the smile returned to his lips within less than a second and he bent down to press a light kiss to your forehead. “Then, Y/N... My dear roommate. My lovely date, my beautiful fake girlfriend... Would you like to dance?”
And the moment the ‘yes’ left your lips, he gathered you up into his arms and swept you off to the dance floor.

Trick or Treat! - V
Every night this week I’m doing randomly generated Halloween prompts for the mysme characters :) hope it gets you in the Halloween mood
Prompts: trick or treating with their kid (in the future), their daughter (shoutout to this sweat bean in the forgive ending), dressing as superheroes!
Summary: you and V take your adopted daughter out trick or treating. v chill family domestic fluff. V is lowkey OOC I think but also it’s set in the future ? So who knows. I actually super like him in this tho
“You excited for trick or treating this year, Lucy Lou?” You asked your daughter, picking her up to take her to her room to get ready. She had definitely gotten big since you and V had adopted her. It was hard to believe that was more than two years ago. She was the sweetest seven year-old on the planet; she had that kindness that you saw every time you looked at V, and just a genuine appreciation for nature and everything around her. She seemed wise beyond her years.
“Yes!!” She swung from side to side in your arms. You plopped her down on her bed once you got to her bedroom and made your way to her closet to get her costume. “Is Daddy going with us?”
“He sure is. He’s getting dressed up right now too!” You pulled out her costume, a little Wonder Woman dress. Lucy had been a princess last year, but this year she was super into superhero shows and wanted to be Wonder Woman. You and V had to get involved of course. What sort of parents wouldn’t want to dress up with their kid on Halloween?
You helped Lucy get her costume on, fluffing out the skirt so it sat nice and fastening the Velcro on the back. “You look pretty cool, you know that? It might be kinda cold though. Maybe we should bring a coat just in case...” you started going through the closet again to find something that would match her outfit.
“Mommy! Wonder Woman doesn’t wear a coat. I don’t need one either,” she poured.
You rolled your eyes and chuckled, grabbing a jacket and throwing it in her trick-or-treat bag just in case.
“Knock knock,” you heard your husband at the door. “Can I come in and see your costume?”
“Yes!!” Lucy squealed excitedly. V swiftly made his way into the room, cape flying behind him, and swooped up Lucy.
“Wow! You look great!” He cheered, holding her back a little so he could take a good look at her costume.
“And you look exactly like Superman,” you complimented, reaching out to fix his cape so it felt nicely. “I would’ve thought you were him if it weren’t for the hair, y’know,” you teased. He did have his hair gelled into place just like the superhero, but the blue shade was sort of a dead giveaway. He looked very handsome though.
“Okay, okay. Your turn! Go get dressed up,” V urged you, pushing you out the door.
“Yeah Mommy! Don’t make us late.”
“Sounds like she’s turning into you,” V giggled, shooing you out the door. You stayed in the doorway for just a minute to watch the two together, V picking her up and helping her ‘fly’ around the room. You were both nervous to have your own child to take care of, but Lucy was perfect. You were happy you could give her the life she wanted and deserved.
You shook your head, clearing your thoughts, and got to work getting ready as quickly as possible. You were (miraculously) able to find a batgirl costume that wasn’t extremely sexy and revealing, but actually had some character integrity! The batgirl costume was really a lot like the Batman costume, but people loved to make it into a short dress. Fortunately, you got the spandex suit version. Win. You made your way back to Lucy’s room to present yourself for judging.
“Mommy! You look so... cool!” Lucy exclaimed.
“She’s right,” V pressed a kiss to your cheek. “You look amazing.” He raised his voice to sound all authoritative and superhero-y. “Now it’s time to go. We’ve got a city to save.”
You chuckled, grabbing the candy bag and leading the way out the door. Lucy was super excited during the first few houses because she got to see all the neighbors. You were lucky to live in a neighborhood with a few kids her age. In fact, you decided to go with one of the neighbors and their son, who was close with Lucy. He was dressed up in one of those inflatable T-rex costumes and you were all constantly making sure he wouldn’t run into something.
After the trip around the block, the neighbors gave in and called it a night, but Lucy, all sugared up from a full-sized Hershey bar from the previous house, wanted to do more houses.
“You sure you’re not getting tired?” You asked. She shook her head excitedly.
“Come on, a superhero’s work is never done,” V defended her, looking over at you and smiling. He had taken over holding her candy bag. It had gotten quite heavy, and that seemed like a job for Superman. Plus, Lucy was holding your hand as you went around.
“Okay. Just a few more houses and then we’ll start heading home. It’s getting cold out, huh Lucy?” You asked, using your mom voice to be assertive.
“I’m okay! I’m not cold and I’m not tired. I could do this all day!” She bounced excitedly on her toes. “Plus, look how close we are to Uncle Yoosung’s house! We have to go.” She was so excited, in fact, that she skipped over a few houses just to greet her uncle, who was sitting on the porch with a bowl of candy in his arms.
“Uncle Yoosung, Uncle Yoosung!” She called, breaking free of your grip to run up the stairs to hug him. She tackled him in a hug, almost knocking him off his chair. You and V followed closely behind. “Do you like my costume?” She did a twirl to show it off.
He squinted for a minute, really holding it out for dramatic effect. “Wait! Is that you, Lucy? I thought you were actually Wonder Woman. How’d you get Batgirl and Superman to join you, huh? Do your Mommy and Daddy know you’re out with them?”
She giggled, swaying slightly. “This is Mommy and Daddy! We all dressed up like superheroes!”
“Hi Yoosung. How are you doing?” V asked, putting his hand on the boy’s shoulder.
Yoosung smiled; seeing the two patch their relationship, especially with Rika back and everything that went on with that, was nice. “I’m doing good.”
“How’s Rika?” You asked. It had been challenging for you and V to forgive her, but you were happy you did. She had a lot of issues that weren’t her fault and was trying to fix them and be a better person. You couldn’t blame her for that. Even V was quick to forgive her; you had to come to terms with the fact that he had loved her immensely. You were fortunate to have formed a decent relationship amongst all of you.
“She’s doing pretty well. Her book is getting a lot of positive feedback and she’s been doing a lot of talk shows,” Yoosung nodded along as he recounted her whereabouts.
“That’s great! Her book was really lovely,” you complimented. And it was. It was extremely motivational for Rika to be so open about her experiences and to show the reader how to overcome your past.
“You read it?” V asked curiously. He didn’t sound upset or anything, just genuinely surprised.
“Of course I did.” Your eyes trained on the ground. “I wanted to support her.”
He wrapped an arm around your waist and kissed the top of your head. He didn’t need to say anything; you knew he was thanking you silently.
“So do you have any candy for me or what?” Lucy asked, breaking up the conversation.
Yoosung’s eyes lit up. “Oh do I!? I’ve been hoping you’d show up.” He reached under his chair and pulled out a little goody bag. “Lots of different candy in there, all your favorites especially for you.”
“You’re the best, Uncle Yoosung. Will you thank Uncle Yoosung?” You asked, nudging her along. She was very polite but still needed to work on her manners when it came to people she knew well. She uttered a thank you and launched into his arms for another hug before bidding him goodbye.
You had hardly gotten down the stairs when Lucy started to complain. “I’m sleepy...” she was walking slower now, trudging along.
“Oh no. I was afraid this would happen,” V said, picking her up into his arms. She rested her head on his shoulder.
“Cold too,” she muttered.
You giggled. “Good thing I brought you that jacket, huh?” You took the bag from V and shuffled the candy around so that you could grab the jacket. It really was a tag team effort for him to turn Lucy around and help you get the jacket on her very sleepy, unresponsive form.
The two of you began the walk back to your house, Lucy fast asleep already. “She really burnt herself out going to Yoosung’s, huh?” You joked. He chuckled, glancing down at her. She must have shivered or something, because he swung his cape around so that it was also covering her up. “You’re so good with her. It makes me happy to see.”
“You’re so good with her too. I’m happy we can give her a good life,” he smiled. “Thank you for reading Rika’s book. You’ve shown her a lot of kindness.”
“You’ve done so well forgiving her too, Honey. I know it couldn’t have been easy, but I think our support has really helped her.” You, once again, were fixated on the ground. It still felt kind of awkward to talk about. “I’m happy to see her successful and doing well mentally.”
“Me too.”
“You ever think she’s gonna meet Lucy?” You asked, breaking the simplicity of the conversation.
He stopped in his place, thinking. The second he realized he had stopped, though, he kept walking. “Not yet. I forgive her but... thinking about what happened with her and I. Imagining something like that with Lucy... I can’t risk that.”
“You’re so protective and sweet. I love you so so much V.” You stopped on your front porch, pulling out the key to unlock the door.
He grabbed your hand to stop your motion, pulling you in for a kiss on the lips. It’s not that you didn’t kiss on the lips often, but you did try to keep it to a minimum, as Lucy was at the phase where that was absolutely disgusting. The kiss was long and romantic, well, as romantic as it can be with a child in one arm and your significant other in the other.
“Ew,” Lucy piped in sleepily. “You guys are gross.”
The two of you couldn’t help but laugh, rushing inside as quickly as possible to give Lucy a taste of your medicine and shower her with kisses too.

Cuddles After a Long Day is Just How Much I Love You Part 2
“Mark, have you seen my white shirt?” Freddy called out of his room. He was searching through his drawers, pulling out clothes to try to find aforementioned shirt.
“It’s still in the wash, remember,” Mark replied, appearing in the doorway.
“What? It can’t be in the wash. Billy’s gonna be here in an hour! It’s gonna take too long to wash and dry it!” Freddy exclaimed. Mark came closer as Freddy sighed in exasperation, sitting down on his bed with his head in his hands.
“Freddy, relax. This isn’t the first time you’ve been on a date with Billy,” Mark reminded. “Besides, you’re eating dinner here, remember? That’ll be plenty of time to get your shirt ready.”
“Right, but what if he thinks that it’s dumb that I’m not wearing the suit through dinner and breaks up with me?”
“Look, son. Billy’s not that kind of boy, trust me. He loves you even when you’re not wearing your fanciest outfit,” Mark assured. Freddy took in the information for a while, letting the words roll around in his head.
“Thanks, Mark.”
“Freddy, what’s going on? You’ve been uber stressed lately.”
“Well, some kids at school keep telling me that I don’t deserve a good family. Or Billy,” Freddy admitted.
“Freddy. You know that’s not true. The only thing you don’t deserve is the reason you’re in foster care. Junie and I love having you, you know that, but we wish we didn’t have to have you. We wish it were under different circumstances, but we love you,” Mark affirmed, placing a comforting hand on Freddy’s shoulder.
“I love you, too.” There was a pause and a question irked at Freddy’s mind until it pushed past his lips seemingly of its own volition. “Why’d you guys pick me?” he asked. He knew he should probably be embarrassed by the question, but his mind was too curious to care. Fortunately, Mark chuckled, a smile spread across his face good-naturedly.
“Well, you’re a good kid. Very smart, very kind, very passionate, and we have shared experience, in a way,” he told Freddy, indicating his own wheelchair at the end. Mark had lost movement of his legs in almost the same way Freddy had: a car accident. The only difference was Mark’s was in Afghanistan and he was fully paralyzed from the waist down.
“Right. Thanks.”
“Any time. I love you.”
“Love you, too.”
“Am I competing for your affections, Freddy?” a voice asked from the doorway of the room. Freddy looked up and saw his boyfriend all dressed up in a suit and tie and smirking at him. One hand was behind his back holding something Freddy couldn’t see.
“Billy!” Freddy exclaimed, jumping up off his bed, bounding over to Billy, and practically launching himself into the other’s arms. Billy stumbled back a step, but hugged Freddy anyway.
“Sorry I’m early. I was nervous about being late and I guess I walked here subconsciously. I also bought you flowers,” Billy spoke sheepishly, pulling away and holding up a bouquet of blue roses.
“Aww! My favorite! Thanks, Billy!” Freddy took the flowers and placed a quick kiss to Billy’s lips. “I’m gonna grab a vase for these. Be right back.” He left the room, going to the kitchen across the hall to fulfill his promise. Billy sat on the bed near Mark, smiling at the man.
“How are you doing, Billy?” Mark inquired.
“I’m doing very well. School’s going alright,” Billy replied. “How are you? How’s work?”
“I’m doing just fine, thanks. Work’s alright. We’ve got a big company we’re working with right now, so it’s a bit cramped at the office.”
“Oh yeah. Freddy mentioned something about that.”
“Yeah. I’ve been taking some time to work from home, because it’s hard to get around with double the people crowding the area,” Mark told him.
“That must me nice to work from home,” Billy mused.
“Yeah. I’ve been getting to spend more time with Junie and Freddy. Everything a guy can ask for.”
“You guys talking about me?” Freddy joked as he walked back into the room.
“All good things, Freeman. All good things,” Billy answered, standing up and walking over to wrap an arm around Freddy’s shoulder. Freddy hummed, smiling.
“Uh huh. Okay.”
“By the way, you look very handsome. I really enjoy the Superman shirt with the dress pants,” Billy remarked, tone joking, yet mostly sincere. He kissed the other's cheek.
“Ha ha. My shirt’s in the wash and I figured you didn’t want me in just my underwear at homecoming,” Freddy refuted.
“That would be bad.”
“You guys! Dinner’s ready!” Junie called from the kitchen. The three males left the room and headed to the kitchen across the hall. The lights had been dimmed and the flowers set out on the table, which had a white cloth and fancy place settings. The boys took a seat at the table and Mark handed them laminated pieces of paper that acted as makeshift menus.
“You have the option of spaghetti and meatballs or chicken nuggets as a main dish and either peas or broccoli as a side dish,” he told them.
“And whatever you don’t eat, we will, so no pressure,” Junie added, smoothing down Freddy’s hair gently as she smiled at Billy.
“Well, I think I’ll have the spaghetti and broccoli,” Billy decided.
“And I’ll have the chicken nuggets and peas,” Freddy declared. They handed their menus back to Mark, who took them and went into the kitchen. He came back a few minutes later holding the plates and set them down in front of the two boys.
“Thank you,” they said at the same time. They started eating, sparing glances at the other every so often.
“This is nice. Did you plan this all yourself?” Billy commented.
“Uh, yeah. I wanted it to feel like an actual pre-homecoming dinner since I don’t have any money to actually take you out,” Freddy replied, scratching the back of his neck nervously.
“It’s perfect. I love it.”
“Really?”
“Yeah. I told you, I don’t need anything fancy from you. Just hangin’ out on the couch is all I need from you and if we do anything else, you’ve already exceeded my requirements. You’re perfect.” Billy reached across the table and grabbed Freddy’s hand in his own and ran his thumb over the other’s knuckles, like he always did to comfort Freddy.
“I love you, Billy Batson.”
“I love you more, Freddy Freeman.”
“So not possible.”
“I’ll let you have this one ‘cause you’re cute. Now, eat your food.”
***
Once they were done with dinner, Junie and Mark drove them to Freddy’s school, where the dance was being held.
“You boys look so handsome with your matching outfits,” Junie gushed. “I can almost hear the wedding bells!” It was true, both boys had worn a suit with a white shirt and a black jacket and pants and Junie had cut two of the roses to attach to the suits. The only difference between their outfits was that while Billy’s tie, Converse, and pocket square were red, Freddy’s were blue.
“Junie, we’re not married,” Freddy reminded wholeheartedly.
“Not yet, anyway,” Billy added, a pink blush settling on his cheeks. Freddy blushed, too, shying away, but still holding Billy’s hand.
“I know, sweetie, but you guys are just so adorable together!”
“Thank you,” they answered.
“Okay, we’ll see you after the dance. 10 o’clock, right? Unless there’s an after party you’d want to go to,” Mark put in.
“I think I’ll be all partied out after this,” Freddy remarked as he and Billy clambered from the backseat.
“Me, too.”
“So, 10 o’clock, it is! See you then. Have fun, be safe, we love you!”
“I love you, too. We will!” With that, Junie and Mark drove away and Freddy and Billy walked into the school’s gym, where it was decorated with streamers, lights, and balloons. They gave the teacher at the door their tickets and went in.
“Freddy! There you are, did you just get here?” a voice called from the wall to their right.
“Hey, Lane. Yeah. We just got here,” Freddy replied. “This is my boyfriend, Billy. Billy, this is my best friend, Lane.”
“Nice to meet you, Lane,” Billy greeted, sticking out a hand. Lane shook it, smiling.
“You, too. Freddy talks about you all the time. I’m starting to fall in love with you.”
“Well, he’s taken, so…” Freddy responded jokingly, gripping Billy’s hand.
“I know, I know. Anyway, Lance is around here somewhere, let’s go find him.” Lane grabbed Billy’s other hand and pulled him away dragging Billy with them. They found Lance at the DJ booth, trying to bribe the teacher working there.
“C’mon, Mr Johns. I’ll give ya twenty bucks if you let me play just one song,” he offered.
“After the stunt you pulled with the projector, no way, Mr. Langston,” the teacher denied.
“He played a less-than G-rated scene last month during Movie Day,” Freddy explained into Billy’s ear. Billy nodded in understanding. Finally, they dragged Lance away from the DJ booth and went to get waters, as it was hot in the room. They danced around, Freddy never letting go of Billy’s hand.
“I gotta go to the bathroom, I’ll be right back,” Freddy spoke up after a while, leaning into Billy’s ear to speak again. Billy nodded and squeezed Freddy’s hand before letting go reluctantly. Without his anchor, Billy felt the room spinning slightly in his panic. Freddy was the only person he really knew here and without his presence, Billy was just like a lost puppy wandering around in the loud, dark area. He reached for his pocket, finding the present he’d bought and playing with it. Lance and Lane had found people to dance with a while back, but had stayed close enough to chat.
“Billy, are you alright?” Lane asked, leaning over.
“Uh, yeah. I’m fine. I’m just gonna get some fresh air,” Billy replied “Could you tell Freddy I stepped outside when he gets back?” Lane nodded, going back to the boy he was dancing with. Billy walked as calmly as he could out of the gym and through the doors without being noticed. When he was outside, he paced until his feet got tired and then he sat down with his back against the wall, still playing with the object in his pocket. That was where Freddy found him, against the wall.
“Hey. Lane said you were out here. What’s up?” Freddy queried, sitting down next to him.
“Just got a little too much,” Billy answered, looking at him. “You’re the only person I know here and when you were gone, I guess I just felt…”
“Lost?”
“Yeah. I know that sounds so clingy, but-” Freddy cut him off.
“Remember when I went to your school’s holiday party last year?” he asked.
“What?”
“Do you remember your school’s holiday party last year?” Freddy asked more pointedly. Billy nodded.
“Of course I do.”
“Well, you didn’t mind when I literally clung to your arm the entire time, did you?”
“No, of course I didn’t mind,” Billy told him, confused about why this mattered.
“Well, then why do you think I’d mind if you did the same thing? It’s not clingy, you have every right to feel out of place. I know I do sometimes,” Freddy declared.
“Right. Sorry.”
“Don’t apologize for feeling, you dork. Now, let’s go back inside. We’ve got an hour left of the dance.” Freddy made to stand up, but Billy caught his arm.
“Wait. I, uh. I have something for you,” he told the boy, letting go of Freddy’s wrist once he knew the boy had no intentions of leaving.
“What is it?” Freddy cocked his head to the side, brown eyes shining in the glow from the light of the moon.
“Well, I just, I uh.” Billy took a deep breath to prepare himself and looked Freddy in the eyes, emerald green meeting chocolate brown. “I really, really like you, Freddy. Like a lot and I wanted to show you how much I really like you, so I got you this.” He reached into his pocket and grabbed the present, holding it out to Freddy. He closed his eyes, not wanting to see the disappointment on his boyfriend’s face, and was surprised when he didn’t hear anything for a while. He cracked an eye open to see Freddy’s thoroughly shocked face. There were tears shining at the edges of his eyes, but Billy could tell they weren't sad tears.
"Are." Freddy paused, swallowed thickly. "Are you proposing to me?" he asked. Billy scratched the back of his neck.
"Sort of. It's a promise ring."
"So, I promise to love you and you promise to love me?" Freddy clarified. Billy nodded, a pink glow kissing his cheeks in the moonlight.
"Y-yeah." Freddy smiled, hooking a finger under his boyfriend's chin and making the other look at him.
"That's beautiful. I love it," he assured. Billy slipped the ring onto Freddy's right ring finger. He slipped his own on and watched the matching silver rings glint in the pale light. Freddy laced their hands together and went back inside, dancing for the next 45 minutes. The last dance or the night was a slow dance and Freddy relished in the feeling of Billy's hands on his hips and one of his arms draped over Billy's shoulder. The dance was so slow that he didn't really need his crutch, but used it for support mostly. When the dance was over, Freddy nudged his nose against Billy's, their foreheads touching.
"I love you, Billy Batson," he promised.
"I love you, too, Freddy Freeman," Billy promised. Once they were home, cuddled up on the couch in pajamas with candy, popcorn, and an animated movie, did Freddy notice something.
"You got this engraved?" he asked, starting at the letters embedded in the ring.
"Yep. Cost me an extra 20 bucks, but it was worth it," Billy answered.
"You dork. You didn't have to spend that much on me." Freddy shoved Billy's shoulder with his own.
"I didn't say how much I spent. It could've been $21." Freddy snorted and tossed up a piece of popcorn for him to catch. Billy reached over, intercepting the piece of popcorn himself.
"Hey! I wanted that!" Freddy griped, though he wasn't really angry.
"Then come take it," Billy teased, sticking out his tongue as he held the popcorn up. Freddy smashed their lips together, popcorn forgotten. The two kissed, Freddy's hands making their way to Billy's hair to deepen the kiss. They pulled away, panting slightly and Freddy smiled, admiring the words in his ring and the ones in Billy's.
Billy Batson and Freddy Freeman.

Part two: Damian continues his reconciliations!
find part one on ao3 and on tumblr
Damian awoke with a start, heart beating fast before his brain could catch up. It took him a moment to realize what was wrong:
He was not in his bed.
He could tell immediately because it was warm and comfortable, soft light filtering through shades. Basically, nothing like Nanda Parbat. He tried to calm himself to take in his bearings and his lungs filled with scents that lulled his mind.
Smells of herbal tea and chocolate, earthy like a farmhouse kitchen-
Jon.
The Kryptonian must have caught the cue in his sleep as he turned next to him to bury his face in Damian’s chest to get away from the fast increasing sunlight. The warmth of Jon curled in to him addled his mind further and Damian struggled to remember how he got here.
They had ambled through the night rain, avoiding having to break apart until Jon finally offered a reprieve.
“Do you want to come upstairs?”
Damian forgot how to breathe. He hadn’t even realized they had made their way to Jon’s apartment.
Jon saw his friend’s panic and hastily explained.
“I only mean- it’s late to go over to Grayson’s. I figured, well, do you need a place to stay?”
The Demon found his breath again (though maybe a part of him was also a little disappointed).
“Oh, I don’t want to put you out. I’m sure the League has an outpost somewhere here or at least in Gotham…”
“Don’t be stupid. You’re already here. I have an extra blanket.”
So Damian had followed upstairs, pulled off wet clothes and borrowed too long pants from Jon.
“Not gonna suffer the matching shirt?” Jon joked as he tucked it back in a drawer. “Figured you’d want it since you get so cold.”
Damian blushed lightly at the remembered detail and muttered something about feeling straight-jacketed. Jon just smiled and said, “Good thing I got the extra blanket then.” Slipping under the covers, Jon’s body heat pulled Damian in and soon Jon was enveloped in strong limbs and musky scent, with warm breath on the back of his neck. It sent a little shiver down his spine.
It wasn’t long before they were asleep.
Jon’s blinking eyes broke him out of his reverie. Even off the farm, he didn’t sleep in late.
“G’morning,” he mumbled sleepily, rubbing his eyes.
“Hey,” was all Damian could get out because, damn, bedhead Jon was a sight.
He must’ve been blushing again because Jon chuckled and leaned in to brush his lips ever so lightly against Damian’s before rolling out of bed.
The Demon’s Head groaned at the loss of warmth.
“Oh, c’mon, sleepy head.”
When Damian only moaned again, Jon crawled back onto the covers to kiss him again.
This time was longer, deeper, and far more intriguing, pulling Damian fully out of sleep. Warmth filled his cheeks and began to pool in his stomach. His hands reached out from the sheets to lock onto his Kryptonian.
Which was Jon’s cue that he finally had his demon’s full attention. Groan number three pulled out of Damian’s lips as Jon did, but his eyes were less bleary now. Jon smirked in triumph, but then his expression changed. He looked meaningfully into Damian’s eyes.
“You can’t put it off.”
How did he know? Only one day and Jon was already able to read his thoughts again.
Damian sighed and looked down.
“I’m scared.” Jon was still thrown off by his raw, open honesty.
“I know. We’ll start easy. But they love you and miss you. And they deserve an explanation.” He cupped Damian’s chin in his hand. “Take it from me, ten years is long enough to wait.”
Bludhaven, despite being Gotham’s sister city, was fairly different from Damian’s childhood home. For one thing, sunlight actually got through the skyline to light up the sidewalks. For another, crime didn’t follow Gotham’s rule of waiting for nightfall. Maybe criminals here are vitamin D deficient.
Jon and Damian crossed the city, picking up coffee on the way over to Grayson’s apartment. They were taking their time because, as Damian said, “It’s Saturday. We’ll be lucky if he’s awake by noon.” And, as Damian didn’t say, “I’m panicking and need some extra time to get ahold of myself.”
What they didn’t know was that the first Robin was not only awake, but on the roof of a building in the next block. A major crime family had planned a hit on the Bludhaven Bank for that very day and, though Dick had warned the bank of the intel he found, he was still anxious and characteristically cautious. However, of all things he expected to see that day, Damian Wayne was decidedly not one of them.
His breath caught in his throat. He’s walking in Bludhaven. He’s here. He’s with Kent. He’s with Jon. Has he been here before, has he kept in touch with Jon this whole time and didn’t-
Dick cut off his own train of thought. No, just because no one expected him to leave doesn’t mean they didn’t know Damian and that he doesn’t care about them.
He knows Damian and Damian wouldn’t do that.
Besides, you can’t fake the pain that Jon had gone through alongside them the past 10 years. No, Damian must have just come back. And for whatever reason had gone to Jon first.
He watched intently as the men strolled down the sidewalk across the street, coming closer to his vantage point. He could almost see their hands, which were definitely interlocked, given how close together they were walking. A smirk spread across his lips.
But it was wiped away quickly, replaced with a gape of confusion as Damian and Jon ducked swiftly and unexpectedly into an alley.
Dick looked around for a reason and only then remembered why he was on the roof to begin with.
The bank was being robbed.
Superman and the Demon alighted on the roof across from the bank.
“Damn. What are the chances?”
“Watch your language, farm boy,” Damian teased. Unlike his Kryptonian, he wasn’t all that surprised. He’d grown, impossibly, even more cynical in his time among the Shadows. He saw it as realism – the chances were, in fact, fairly high.
“Come on, let’s get in there before these idiots hurt someone.”
Jon grabbed hold of Damian and flew them across the gap to the bank, dropping the Demon on the roof before crashing through a window. As Kent caught the attention of the criminals, Wayne snuck in the back to take care of the men already making their way to the safe.
Having kept track of all of the Batman Inc. enemies, Damian quickly identified the thugs as members of the prominent Bludhaven crime family. He had particular beef with the fucked up dynamics that led to dragging your loved ones into violent crime in the name of petty power. Landing quietly behind them, he took note of their likely stats and available weapons.
“Guys, I mean, I’ve got daddy issues, too, but there are easier ways to get some attention.”
The thugs reacted quickly, one turning and throwing a punch as the other ducked and picked up his firearm. The Demon was in mid-spin, countering the punch and winding up to knock his first opponent off his feet when the first shot rang out.
But speed, adrenaline, and close quarters were Damian’s allies. He wasn’t sure where the bullet landed, but it was inconsequential. He should try to prevent another one from getting out, though.
He twisted to face the armed Thug 2, grabbing his arm, bending the wrist, catching the released gun, and unloading the weapon in one swift move.
Shit. He thought before he was really sure what his brain was reacting to. In slow motion he realized he had miscalculated Thug 1’s speed. Damian had tracked him as he picked up his own gun, but didn’t think he’d have it set that quickly.
As the gun rose to his turning face, a black blur flashed in the background, knocking a heavy blow to Thug 1’s neck. With the threat falling to the ground, Damian was safe to take down Thug 2 and did so with ease.
“I don’t think they liked your joke.” Nightwing, following a more Wayne-like pattern than Kent, had come into the bank through the back, but had taken a few extra seconds to get from his vantage point. Now he stood over the thugs and gave Damian a quick evaluating once over.
Damian couldn’t move. The back of his mind had processed that this was a possibility, but he hadn’t given himself much of a chance to prepare, given it was a big bank in Grayson territory.
“Don’t sweat though. I thought it was funny.”
Dick flashed a quick smile, blinding as ever, and led the way to the main hall where Jon was takin on the rest of the would-be thieves. They sprang into action, each taking down a gunman in a matter of mere seconds.
The Superman had managed to wedge himself between the robbers and the hostages, but was having trouble disarming the thugs while also keeping everyone free of bullet holes. Nightwing and Demon came to his aid, working in unison, reading each other’s movements and remembering each other’s patterns from their days as Batman and Robin.
Before long, the hall was clear and Nightwing signaled to the police just arriving that the situation was handled. The three men took their exit through the hole Jon had made in the ceiling and regrouped atop a nearby building.
Damian straightened, received a reassuring glance from Jon and took a deep breath before making eye contact with Dick. He scrambled for words, despite the many speeches he’d prepared the in sleepless night before. The robbery, meeting like this, completely threw him off.
But none of it mattered because Grayson spoke first.
“You’re back.”
“I never really wanted to leave.”
“I didn’t think so.”
Dick stepped forward and pulled his baby brother into a tight hug. Damian didn’t hesitate to return the embrace. Relief washed through his mind and relaxed his whole body. His fingers curled deeper into his brother’s back, desperately trying to communicate how much he has missed him, how much he needed him, how much he loved him. Tears spilled from his eyes.
No other explanation was needed. Dick wouldn’t have cared.
Damian was home.

Best of DC: Week of May 29th, 2019
Best of this Week: Doomsday Clock #10 - Geoff Johns, Gary Frank, Brad Anderson and Rob Leigh
And yet another wrinkle is added to the DC Universe.
Or should I say, “Metaverse” now? Yes, after I think three months since the last issue, Doomsday Clock returns with yet another strong issue that expands upon the mythos of the DC Universe and just how Doctor Manhattan viewed and affected things at the many different positions of time that he has been able to inhabit.
The issue is framed around an actor by the name of Carver Colman, a very huge star in DCs 1954, who has been referenced or used in previous issues. This gives some kind of continuity in the context of the story as Johnny Thunder was seen watching his movie in the retirement home al the way back in issue two or three. Colman, unfortunately, has a secret that gets him killed soon after wrapping up the filming of his biggest hit, The Adjournment and as we make it through the issue and the back and forth of his life, we find the biggest change to Doctor Manhattan’s character and how he has to bend to the rules of this new universe.
Doctor Manhattan actually meets Colman in 1938 when he was a struggling actor who had just lost his job delivering mail to a movie studio after an unfortunate accident and things he saw. Manhattan takes Colman out for some food, attempting to use him as a rod to focus on to look towards the future as he can’t seem to do so on his own after arriving. He does so and is able to see a year into the future, then four and so on. His abilities work again, but then he hears something strange.
A radio report of a man lifting a car into the air. The first appearance of Superman on April 13th, 1938. Suddenly, it was gone, the crowds of people were gone as if they never existed. He follows the path where Superman existed in 1938 and finds the Justice Society, having formed and waiting for Superman to answer their summons. Jay Garrick “Flash”, “Green Lantern” Alan Scott, Hawkman, Doctor Fate and others, waiting for the Man of Steel to join their ranks and suddenly, they too have never heard of him.
Manhattan follows the many arrivals of Superman, from 1956, to 1986 and sees his arrival change again and again, noting the many deaths of Ma and Pa Kent and how this “Universe” seems to use Superman as a focal point, even going to a thousand years from now when Superman was briefly part of the Legion of Superheroes. So to test how things revolve around Superman, he changes the past by moving the Lantern away from Alan Scott, killing him, and drastically changes the future, creating the New 52 Timeline.
Everything is recontextualized as Manhattan sees that this action changes this universe and that it’s constant state of flux affects the wider multiverse. From the parallel worlds, to the anti-matter, to the Dark Multiverse, Earth Prime is a “Metaverse” in his words. The others change to match whatever is going on in the Prime World and once it realizes what he’s done, it begins to fight back. Manhattan sees Wally West trying to fight his way back to the Universe. This one action causes a chain reaction that will lead to his inevitable confrontation with Superman where Superman either kills him or he kills the Metaverse.
Cutting back to 1954, Manhattan is at Carver Colman’s home on the night that he’s murdered. He doesn’t do anything to stop it.
There’s a saying that “the only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.” In the Watchmen Universe, Doctor Manhattan was allowed to do or not do as he pleased because that world was a little bit more grounded or at worst cynical. Though, one might say that because he refused or didn’t care to use his power at a larger scale, Ozymandias’ “evil” won. Though Ozymandias thought what he did was the right thing, this series proved it it be disastrous in the wake of Rorschach’s journal being published, but initially Veidt’s plan did succeed. Doctor Manhattan escaping to the DC Universe put him into direct conflict with the Metaverse and its Hope. Its innate desire to have the good triumph over evil won’t let Doctor Manhattan get away with inaction and in his words, “To this universe of hope… I have become the villain.”
Words can’t describe how hype I was for this. With each and every issue, a new layer is added and brings us closer and closer to the epic conclusion that only Geoff Johns and Gary Frank can realize. I also love how they’ve expanded on the importance of Earth Prime, seeing as how it has indeed gone through many changes. It’s good to finally have an explanation that implies that even through the many reboots and retcons that if DC wanted to, they could tap into those timelines as main universes at any time. Everyone’s favorite time period matters or will matter again soon.

"One last adventure together…"
Runner Up: Batman: Last Knight on Earth #1 - Scott Snyder, Greg Capullo, Jonathan Glapion, FCO Plascencia and Tom Napolitano
Joker's words to describe his and Batman's last run together in the hell that is the world after some unexplained event killed numerous heroes, villains and just about anything else. It also describes what MAY be the last time we see Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo do a big Batman story together and I already feel like we're in for a BIG one.
After a curious case of large scale chalk drawings,  showing a dead Batman, leads the Dark Knight to the Crime Alley he inadvertently sets off a trap laid by an unknown assailant using the decomposing body of a ten year old child. He later wakes up in Arkham Asylum, apparently having been there since KILLING HIS FAMILY in Crime Alley all those years ago. Capullo does a great job of setting atmosphere and making things unsettling as even a small fly buzzing around and "Dr. Redd Hudd" looming over a straight jacketed Bruce Wayne looks creepy.
Arkham appears to be just a regular Asylum with Alfred showing up and trying to convince Bruce that Batman was all in his head, showing him a mock costume they made to keep him calm with a cowl stitched to a straight jacket. Bruce sees through it all and fights his way through Arkham until Alfred reveals the truth. He only wanted to keep his boy safe because half of Gotham was just gone. Years had passed and Batman has no idea what happened.
He later wakes up in a desert and coincidentally finds the head of The Joker. He wakes and immediately begins cracking jokes as Batman takes him and they begin to walk to Coast City. I don't know how much of this is real and that adds to the mystique of the story. We're never given an explanation as to how he got there from Arkham or how Joker is surviving.
They arrive at Coast City and the decayed corpse of Mogo looms over a giant crater and ruins. Joker says that all of the Lanterns fell and rings are just there for the taking. Suddenly the duo are attacked by projections of babies before being saved by Vixen and Poison Ivy. Ivy then knocks Bruce out just in case and he wakes up surrounded by the new Amazons; Vixen, Donna Troy, Poison Ivy, Supergirl and Wonder Woman.
Wonder Woman explains that one day, Luthor just… convinced most that they should just take what they deserve. He told them that goodness was a lie and they just ate it up. It echoed the future that Luthor saw back in Justice League/Legion of Doom #5, but given that this is a Black Label book, one wouldn't be wrong if they didn't want to think of this as the explanation of that timeline because they're not in the same canon.
Wonder Woman also tells Batman that the one wielding the Anti-Life Equation may be one of the Boys and pleads with him to join the Amazons in Hades.
But Batman is Batman and he decides that he's going to put a stop to this.
Last Knight on Earth reads like an alternative ending for Scott Snyder's Justice League epic. Even though that story is far from over, not even close, there's this unsettling feeling that, if Scott didn't have to have the heroes win in the end, this should be the absolute endgame. A world, no UNIVERSE possibly, under siege by someone wielding the Anti-Life Equation, hope dead and dying and the ever creeping feeling of dread knowing that somehow life and death have lost enough meaning that Joker as a decapitated head still lives… this story is terrifying.
Honestly, this might be some of Capullos best art to date. With Glapion and Plascencia's help, this book feels so atmospheric and dark. Glapion accentuates Capullos lines and shading well with dark-dark inks, making Batman appear to be shrouded in it even in the sun. It's haunting, especially in the Arkham scenes where things are absolutely not as they seem and dark secrets hide behind and within the walls. Plascencia, on the other hand, can make even light and vibrant colors threatening. The red sand on Jokers jar is intense  and the Green Lantern babies are deadly. Hell, Coast City, Hall Jordan's crown jewel, looks unbelievably desolate, colored like a wasteland. Capullo pulls all of this together with as much detail as he possibly can and his work shows.
Faces are expressive, from Batmans fear, to Alfreds regret to Jokers madness. Body language is utilized greatly as Batman fights like a caged animal. He's taken aback by Jokers head, but still finds his resolve. Wonder Woman is still fierce, but even her edge has dulled with the sheer lack of hope that running away and going underground has given her.
This story is terrifying and I absolutely love it. From the creepy visuals of Capullos art, to the expression of thought because of the mature liberties Black Label books can take, it's all beautiful. This one is absolutely going to match my love for Batman: Damned and every one should go and read this. High recommend!

It was a relatively calm day in terms of traffic, which was a rarity to end all rarities at that time in the evening. This stopped being true very quickly as a blue Nissan Versa rounded a corner and barrelled down the road toward a comic book store. The screech of the vehicle's tires were nearly--although not quite--loud enough to drown out the Queen music it was blasting. As the Versa reached the comic book store, it pulled to a halt and a man in sunglasses stepped out.
As he walked in, the little bell on the door chimed, catching the attention of the shop's proprietor, who was currently lounging in a beanbag chair. He had been there for several hours now, or perhaps several days, depending on how long it took for dust to start gathering on someone.
"We're closed!" Hiro called out without looking up from his first-edition original-run Superman comic. "Go away!"
"It's me, Hiro."
"Oh!" Lowering the comic, Hiro glanced up to see Ando leaning in the doorway, hand in his pocket. "Ando-kun. What brings you here?"
Ando grimaced as he walked over to sit down beside Hiro*. As he turned to face him, Ando took off his sunglasses and tucked them in his jacket pocket, showing off his snake eyes. Hiro looked at him expectantly. As much as he may have secretly wished otherwise, Ando didn't usually drop by without a reason. He wondered if he was going to invite him out to dinner again, or perhaps he just wanted to get drunk and unwind in Hiro's backroom.
[* he pulled up a chair that certainly hadn't been next to the beanbag chair before, and most likely would no longer be there after he stood back up.]
"Well..." Ando hesitated for a moment, then let out a beleaguered sigh. "Armageddon is officially on."
Hiro blinked in surprise.
"It can't be time for that yet!" he objected. "Can't your side wait a little longer?"
Ando shrugged as if to say, "why not check the future for yourself if you don't believe me?"
"Well, can't you tell them to put it off?" Hiro persisted. "I don't want the world to end yet! What about all my comics? And--well, all the people and cities and everything," he added quickly. "Especially America. I must say, I've gotten rather attached to America."
"Oh, believe me, I know," said Ando. "It almost makes me think... hmm." He hummed in contemplation, brow furrowing slightly.
"What?" Hiro prompted.
"Ehh, it's nothing," Ando said, waving his hand dismissively. "Nothing that'd ever work, anyway."
At this, Hiro perked up. In his experience, there were a lot of things Ando thought wouldn't work that worked out just fine. Adjusting his glasses*, he leaned forward attentively to hear his counterpart's idea.
[* naturally, ethereal beings don't require any sort of eyewear, but Hiro opted to wear glasses because they matched his general disposition. At least, that was what he told the higher-ups. Truth be told, he kind of hoped his next corporation would have better eyesight.]
"Well..." Ando said, "I suppose we could always try to save it."
"Save it?" Hiro echoed. "The world?" His mouth quirked into a frown. "I'd love to, but... do you think Upstairs would allow it? They're very strict about following the course of destiny, you know."
"That's true," Ando acknowledged. He leaned back in his chair, a wine bottle manifesting in his hand. "Your side's uptight like that. No sinning, no questioning, no straying from the path of destiny..." He paused to take a sip of wine and shot Hiro a meaningful look. "...No comics, as you say. No waffles, either."
Right about then, a wine bottle appeared in Hiro's hand as well. He took a sip and reflected on what Ando was saying. Truth be told, saving the world did seem like a very exciting prospect. The superheros in his comics did it all the time, and they rarely saw any serious consequences for it. Still, if the world was supposed to end, then stopping it would be going against destiny.
"How do you know the world is ending, anyway?" Hiro asked. "Did you read it in a book of prophecy? Because those things are rarely accurate, you know. Except for the Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Isaac Mendez, of course, but there aren't any copies of that left."
"Nope. No books of prophecy," Ando told him. "I know... because I just got back from delivering the antichrist."
Hiro's eyebrows rocketed up. "Really?'
"Yep. We gave her to the family of an American diplomat*. She's a very cute baby, really, apart from the fact that she's the spawn of satan."
[* as far as Ando knew, the baby swap had gone perfectly. A blonde-haired baby girl, whose new parents had named her Jackie, had indeed been delivered to the American diplomat. The other blonde-haired baby girl one room over, whose parents had named her Claire, was without a doubt a perfectly normal child and not the misplaced antichrist. Ando may or may not have been very wrong about this.]
"Well, if the antichrist is on earth, I don't see what we can do," Hiro said, his shoulders sagging. "I don't really want to kill her... I suppose we could just lock her away somewhere."
"Who said anything about killing?" Ando asked incredulously. "I just thought maybe we could provide some outside influence to her. Prevent her from growing up evil, you know?"
"Ohh! That might work," Hiro said. For a moment he perked back up, only to immediately slump back down again when he remembered his side's non-interference policy. "But Upstairs still isn't going to like it. We aren't supposed to get in the way of destiny, you know."
"How do you know what our destiny is if the only accurate prophecy book has been destroyed?" Ando countered. "Hey, maybe it's our destiny to interfere and protect the earth. It's about as likely as anything, right?"
Hiro stopped to think that over and to take a sip of wine. Outside the shop, cars drove by on the street as the sun sank lower in the sky. A bird cawed somewhere off in the distance. It was a nice city, and a nice planet, for that matter. Sure, there were other planets, but Hiro did like earth. He certainly didn't want it to be destroyed. And, well, if what Ando said was right...
"We'll do it, then," he decided, breaking into a grin. "Steer the antichrist onto the right path. Save the world!"
"Or try to, anyway," Ando amended.
Grinning, Hiro snapped his fingers. Somewhere many miles away, a diner in Texas suddenly had a table reserved for two.
"On that note, would you care for breakfast?"
"Angel, it's 5:30 PM."
"Not in America, it isn't," Hiro said. Laying his hand atop Ando's, he added, "Besides, I still owe you from... what was it, the Edo period?"
At that, Ando smiled. He laced his fingers through Hiro's--a typically wily demonic gesture--and lowered his sunglasses back over his eyes. Hiro snapped his fingers again, and the next moment, they were comfortably seated across from each other at the Burnt Toast Diner.
Throughout their meal, they built upon their plan until they were fairly confident in it. They were going to go undercover as a nanny and a gardener*, and they would each try to sway the antichrist toward their respective side. It was hard to tell how well it would work out, but Hiro, for one, was pretty optimistic.
[* Hiro called dibs on the position of gardener, not because he was particularly fond of gardens, but because he had no interest whatsoever in looking after babies, satanic or otherwise.]
In fact, as the night went on, Hiro became quite certain that the plan would work. Having it not work would mean armageddon, after all, and that was the last thing anybody wanted. How hard could it be, really? It all boiled down to simple cause and effect: raise the antichrist, save the world.

There are plenty of awkward moments in your life, the one time she mistook her friend’s cousin as her boyfriend and ignored his advances at her. He tried to kiss her by the end of the night, resulting in her scolding him for cheating when he reveal his relation to her (she ended up making out with him but that’s besides the point) . Another time when she clapped at a friend’s spoken ward at a poetry slam when she was supposed to snap. Or that other time when she thought her crush was going to kiss her when he was leaning in because his jacket was on the chair behind her. None of those moments could top sitting in her potential boyfriend’s living room with his roommate in his boxers, him in a kiss the cook apron and herself in a makeshift outfit that would suggest he hadn’t forgotten to take her home.
“What brings you here, Y/N?”
“I had something to tell you but I guess it can wait. I have a meeting later, so I better get back to my apartment.” She looked visibly uncomfortable, the tension in the room suffocating because of the way she treated you last night. It was fair if you thought she was a homewrecking bitch that came between your relationships but it was only a role. Someone had play the bad guy and she seamlessly filled the spot.
“Call me later, okay?” You simply nodded, going on your way and Taehyung took a breath.
“God, that was so awkward.”
“Speak for yourself, I’m not the one in Superman boxers.”
“Yesterday was laundry day.” He weakly defended himself, prancing off to the kitchen to grab the rest of his breakfast and she sighed in relief hearing the sound of Tae’s door closing.
“Do you have to be so harsh on her?”
“I didn’t say anything, Minnie.”
“I could feel it, Seul. You were pretty harsh last night too, I mean…”
“Jimin. I get that I’m Jeongguk’s ex-girlfriend but remember I broke up with him. I know he still loves her and she still loves him but I can’t let her just linger around you too. She can’t have you too, Minnie.” The last sentence came out as a whisper, god she feel small again. Maybe it was fate for her brother to meet you, fate to have her best friend secretly in love with her, but Mira was going to make fate become destiny. She was going to make sure that this time you and Jeongguk were going to stay together. Even if every time Seulgi was the name he murmured in her ear as they cuddled, the name he called when he saw her down the hallway, she hoped Jeongguk was the only name you would murmur.
“Baby?” Jimin cooed, his finger tickling her cheek and she turned to him, biting his finger.
“Ow, Seul.”
“Would you rather I suck on your finger?” He blushed, the image quickly appeared in his head so it seemed and he cleared his throat.
“You’re going to tease me to death, aren’t you?”
“Maybe.”
“Spoke like a true tease.” She kissed his cheek, Jimin let out a small chortle and returned the gesture.
Jimin fell asleep in her lap, his head comfortably in her thighs and his lip slightly agape. He was cute when he slept, his usually loud snores softer now and she stroked his hair just as he wanted her to before he’d fallen asleep.
Taehyung teased you about your soft spot for Jimin, receiving a slipper to the chest and went back to his room. The show on the tv was nothing but noise to her ears, her phone becoming her distraction. She grabbed a pillow, placing under Jimin’s head and slipping out of the apartment.
She’s never been good at timing but she needed someone to talk to.
Hello?
It’s me.
Mira, you’re lucky I have Caller I.D.
I like to think I have a memorable voice, Mina. To you, you thought it was a coincidence that she appeared with Himin but Mina was in on it. She was nervous about telling Mina the whole truth, from her name to her crush on Jimin to being Jeongguk’s little sister. At least there was someone else she could talk to instead of going insane over the secrets she has to keep.
What’s up, buttercup?
Y/N showed up this morning. I thought the tension between us was going to suffocate everyone in the room to death.
Did she say why?
She just looked and talked to Jimin, said she had something to tell him.
Tell him something?
I have no idea what but it’s not weird that she wants to talk with her best friend.
Maybe you should tell her… everything?
She won’t believe me.
Mira, maybe she’ll think you’re nuts but if you want her blessing, it’ll be easier to get if she doesn’t hate your guts.
Why would I need her blessing? Jimin has a family.
She was one of the most important people in his life, they’ve been friends since birth.
What about Jeongguk? If I tell her, it could ruin things with Oppa and she could break up with him. You try dealing with a tall emo tree pouting at you all the time. He’s clingy as fuck.
I could imagine, my blonde tree of a brother does the same. It’s annoying.
The struggles of being a younger sister.
I feel ya, girl
“Baby, why did you leave?” Mira had the pleasure of hearing Jimin’s husky voice after sleeping in her other ear and his arms wrap around her waist. His head rested on her shoulder and she sharply inhaled. God, he’ll be the death of her.
I’m going to have to call you back, Mina
Use protection, honey
You’re so embarrassing-
She hung up on you, Jimin kissing along your neck and you nibbled on your bottom lip. Stay strong, Mira. It’ll be wrong to sleep with him when he thinks you’re someone else. God, he’s rubbing against me-
“M-Minnie, behave.”
“Just teasing you, baby.”
“You’re one hell of a tease.”
“I learn from the best.” She turned around to face him, Jimin not wasting a second to kiss her. He’s totally lost all sense of control.
He managed to get them both on the couch before he pulled away. His arms caged her under him, making her heart race faster than any Olympic sprinter.
“You’re so beautiful.” He whispered lowly before kissing her again. Her hand reached for his jaw, her thumb running against the smooth and chiseled feature before dipping to his exposed collarbone. He moaned to her touch, the sinful sound going straight to the heat between her legs and she had to stop herself from hearing more.
“Dear god, not on the couch.” Jimin pulled away after suddenly hearing Taehyung’s voice. He scolded you both, using the words “horny freaks” and “take it to a hotel room next time”. After his moment of teasing the two of them, he challenged Jimin to a game and Jimin accepting.
She merely watched, cheering on Jimin as he beat Tae’s avatar. He whined when he lost a match, calling for a rematch and Mira grew bored of seeing Jimin win. She walked into the kitchen, quickly making herself lunch and making the boys some as well. Mira returned to the living room with food in hand and Tae paused at the scent of food.
“Food!”
“I swear sometimes you’re a five year old in a twenty year old body.”
“More like four.”
“Hey! Don’t gang up on me like this.” He pouted, only proving Mira’s point but she let go.
“Let me play this round.”
“Let me show you the ropes, babe.”
“Please don’t tell me this is going to a cliche couple moment.”
“Hmm, Minnie, is it?”
“Depends, do you want it to be?”
“I think,” she leaned in, daring to get as close as brushing noses before smirking. “You need to watch the screen before you lose, sweetie.”
He noticed that you managed to get his avatar on the brink of death before you gave the finishing blow.
“K.O!”
“On for another round?”
“Gladly.” Mira was on even ground as Jimin, the both of them giving each other’s characters blows regardless of how many character changes that occurred. It’s been three hours since Mira took control of Taehyung’s controller and they only ad bathroom breaks in between, engaged into this full blown gaming war.
“Are you two still going at it?”
“Yes!” She gave a blow to Jimin’s character’s head, a hefty amount of damage was given and you were prepared to finish his character.
“Dammit, Tae.”
“Guys, it’s just a game.”
“And you’re just a nuisance. Now, let me finish him off.”
“Tsk tsk, I thought you knew better, babe.” He entered a command, his character doing a series of fast kicks that knocked off half of her avatar’s health points. She didn’t have time to be shocked, trying to recuperate her game plan and she fought off his attacks. They managed to get each other on the brink of death when the screen cut back.
“What the-”
“Kim Taehyung” Mira and Jimin said angrily at Taehyung who pulled out the plug to the console, the both of them wanting to be the victor. For a moment, Tae looked freaked out by the synchronization they had in saying his name before rolling his eyes. It was ironic seeing him acting as if the game was pointless when he was the one who challenged Jimin at the game.
“I’m going to hyung’s place.” He simply stated before leaving the apartment with the console in his hands.
“We went a little crazy there, didn’t we?” He said, adding a miniscule chuckle at the end as he scratched the back of his head. Mira laughed with him, now realizing that she and Jungkook really did a share a competitive nature.
“It’s just a stupid game, right?” She added, despite the fact she had Jimin on the ropes and her final technique would have given her sweet victory if Taehyung had just given her a minute. Just a mere 60 seconds to ring in her victory. It was almost bittersweet.
“Yeah…”
“Bet you can’t make it to the rooftop before I will.”
“You’re on, Minnie.”
“You…win… Seul.”
“You’ve been… living here longer… and I…. still won?” He caught his breath before speaking again.
“What does the winner want?”
“An ice cold drink.” There was a vending machine on the roof, convenient since the two of them were parched. Mira sat on a bench, admiring the night sky until a can of Dr. Pepper appeared in front of her face.
“Did you love him?”
“What?”
“Jeongguk, did you love him?”
“Jimin…”
“It’s a stupid question, I get that but I’m just afraid that’ll he’ll just take my place again.”
“I thought I did but he’s more like a brother to me than a boyfriend, You, on the other hand, you mean more to me.”
“Hope those aren’t just words to soothe my anxiety.”
“They’re true, I really do like you a lot…” She blushed, it wasn’t the first time she admitted liking him a lot but each time still made her shy.
“Look at me.” Mira turned her head, not looking at Jimin but rather his phone’s camera.
“Jimin~” She whined as he snapped a picture of her blushing face, Mira in response hitting his arm.
“Baby, you looked so cute. I couldn’t help it.”
“God, I try and be sentimental and calm your fears and what I get in return is my blushing face snapped.”
“The camera does wonders for your face, baby.”
“You’re so inconsiderate.”
“I needed this photo.”
“Why?”
“My mom wanted to see what my girlfriend looks like.”
“Your girlfriend?”
“Yeah, she’s witty, beautiful, cute, sassy, caring and always there for me. I couldn’t help not telling my parents about you.” No, no this can’t be happening. She’d imagined this moment before, being able to tell each other parents but not when she was still Seulgi to him and you kinda hating her presence.
“Oh…” Mira couldn’t fight the surge of blood rushing to her cheek, reddening the blush and looking down.
“Seul?” She looked up, trying her best to mask her emotions and he brought it, smiling at her.
“Will you be my girlfriend?”
Next chapter will have more Jeongguk, I promise :)

alright, it’s late and I’m tired so let’s do this thing. I woke up originally at 8:30 am because one of my aunt’s dogs likes to sleep under the bed I’m staying in and she was making noise, so I tried to get her to get out of the room but she wouldn’t, so I went to the bathroom and left the bedroom door open and then she left. I went back to sleep and was woken up again at like 12 by my mom asking if I wanted an egg sandwich, to which I said sure, and asked what time it was, she said around noon and I was like you know you could wake me up right....and she was like “yeah, that’s what I’m doing now” lol okay then. I got dressed and everything and had an egg sandwich which was pretty good despite me not really liking whole wheat bread (traumatic childhood memories, okay). So the plan for the day was essentially to go to the mall and for me, my sister, and girl cousin to get our nails done. so there was planning and going back and forth, and we eventually decided we’d go to the mall and go to this japanese place for lunch (despite the fact that I’d just eaten, but by the time we actually got there it was like 3) that was at the mall and then go to the nail place in the mall and go from there. So we got to the mall just as it started down pouring, I let my sister and cousin use my umbrella because I had my jacket with me that had a hood, so that helped somewhat. The place was basically sushi and some other japanese food options, I opted for one of their daily special sushi rolls which had like, shrimp tempura, mango, rare strip steak, all wrapped in rice, seaweed, and then rice paper, and served with a mango sauce, and it was really good! I was a bit concerned I maybe hadn’t ordered enough but I was still somewhat full from earlier so it was all good. When we finished I went with my sister and cousin to find the nail place. My sister already had her set of fake nails but had lost one or two, so she was gonna get those filled and in and go for other color, and my cousin was getting fake nails done. I opted for just a gel manicure because I did fake nails exactly once and they drove me up the fucking wall so I’m not doing that again, lol. My nails did have some polish on them already because I did them last week to match my toes (since I’ve been wearing sandals) with this dark purple color, but since I was changing this I decided to go with a really intense pink instead, so they’d look good together (or that was the idea at least). It was pretty standard, it’s been a while since I got a full manicure because I pretty much only do it when I’m with my sister and she wants to go. The real gel nail polish with the blue light and everything obviously works a lot better than the dupe gel knock offs you can get at the store that don’t need the light but also comes off a lot easier (though I still buy them because they’re still somewhat better than normal polish) so they look all nice and perfect now so I’m going to do my best to keep them that way. I was finished first but the girls finished not too long after me, so we left and then went to try to find this tattoo/piercing place because my sister wanted to get another hole on her ear. We stopped by pac sun quickly which was interesting, and the forever 21 at which I had to restrain myself from buying a bunch of floral dresses from the buy one get one free section because they are totally my weakness but I already own SO MANY of them. But I was successful in restraining myself, so that was good. We got to the tattoo/piercing place, they’re the same company but split into two stores right next to each other, so we were in the piercing part. Originally they were just gonna go to like Claire’s or one of the grody piercing stands in the mall but I was like noooo, those are crappy you need to go to a tattoo place, so we did. While they were getting everything sorted out I was looking around at different options for my various piercings and what would fit for me, I ended up getting a cute pair of normal earrings that are lightning bolts, and an industrial bar with the wonder woman insignia on it, though idk if or when I’ll actually use it, because I’m honestly kinda emotionally attached to my arrow industrial bar, lol, I mean I’ve had it for at least 5 years now without any thought of changing it. There was also a Superman belly button earring I liked but they didn't have it in my size, as was the case with a spiral earring for my tragus piercing. So I bought the two and then hung out for a while with the rest of everybody. The plan from there was that my sister and cousin were gonna go to a party and then sleep over my cousin’s friends house (it was briefly floated that I could join them at the party if I wanted, but they kinda figured I wouldn’t want to go to a party full of 18 and 19 year olds, which was a correct conclusion) so we left the girls and I headed back home with the adults. They had been discussing seeing a movie tonight, and were saying they were gonna see the new mission impossible movie and I was like.......eh.....I  mean how many of basically the same movie can you make that are actually good?? So we went back and forth about a couple different movies and splitting up so we could go to different ones, then I had a great idea and convinced everyone to go see Ant-Man and the Wasp, with my recommendation that they’d all like it, and they all assented to that, because I am really very good at getting what I want, so we bought tickets for the 7:25 showing of that. We were running home first though, and we stopped at the dollar general so we could get cheap movie candy and sneak it in lol, which was of course my aunt’s idea. I got a bag of sour patch watermelon and a box of sugar babies. We went home and fed the dogs as well as eating some of the leftover baked ziti from the other night before heading out to the movies. The theatre was in a pretty nice complex with a bunch of other shops, including a cold stone we’d been to previously, so I managed to casually drop that in to plant the idea of getting some after the movie. We got there slightly before the listed movie time, and I had tall the tickets on my phone so we could go straight through and just swipe it, which worked well. It was one where you had to pick your seats in advance and we couldn’t find 4 in a row, but there was a row where there were two open, and then next to them two taken ones, and then two more open ones, so I took the open ones betting that we could get the people in the two middle seats to switch with us, and once they saw that we were all together they offered to switch, so that worked out nicely. As far as the movie went, I enjoyed it just as much the second time around, they did a really good job of mixing comedy in with the epic superhero story. The little girl who plays Cassie is SOOOOOO cute, I was dying when (spoiler) Scott is running around while giant and you see them watching tv with the mom and stepdad being completely dumbfounded, then the camera pans down to Cassie and she just has the best smirk on her face because she knows EXACTLY what was going on, and it was too damn cute. I might’ve said this before, but I also really like that Scott’s ex-wife and her new husband are totally supportive of him and include him in their family because that’s such a refreshing change of pace from just about every other depiction of such a family. The humor was great, when Scott was running around as a giant my mom could not stop laughing, she thought it was the funniest thing, which made me happy to see because generally she just won’t go to movies unless they have a specific Christian connotation to them, but I thought they would all really like the movie and there really wasn’t anything “inappropriate” (like sexually or whatever) and she really liked it, so I was glad to hear that. I had to somewhat contextualize the mid-credit scene for them because of course none of them had seen infinity war or were at all aware of what happened in that movie, so they had no idea what the characters suddenly turning to dust meant. When we got out we indeed decided to go to cold stone, it was at the other end of the shopping center but we decided to walk there because my dad said he wanted to get more steps in and I was like well I live in a city and walk everywhere so I’m game lol. Just about all the stores we passed were closed (it was like 9:30 on a Friday at this point) but once we got to cold stone the line was pretty much to the door, so we had to wait for a bit. I hadn’t been there in a while, and they had a few new combos regarding their birthday celebration (so made with cake batter ice cream or different types) so instead of getting my usual strawberry order I did their strawberry cake batter one with strawberry wafers, sprinkles and caramel, which was very good but also filling and I couldn’t finish it lol. I had gotten the medium size when I otherwise would’ve gotten a small because they were running a promotion if you came in with a movie ticket from the past 24 hours you could get a buy one get one free deal for a medium size, so I couldn’t finish it lol. Once we got our ice cream we sat out at one of the tables outside and ate, then walked back to the car and drove home. I stayed up on my computer for a bit after stumbling onto a series of legends screen caps with humorous comments added on Reddit, and it was pretty fucking hilarious so I ended up posting a bunch of them on my twitter in a giant thread (with credit attributed to the original creator of course because I’m not a shitty person who would just steal content like that) and I was laughing pretty hard at all of it. but it was getting late so I showered and got ready for bed and then got distracted on my laptop for a while, then started writing this and here we are, and did I mention it’s late because it’s now past 3 am??? Don’t know what the plan for tomorrow is, if it’s somehow nice (the weather forecast predicted rain every single day this week but it’s actually been mostly sunny) we might go back to the beach but there was discussion about not being able to get a parking spot, so we may end up getting lunch at a restaurant on the beach front and see what we want to do from there. Hopefully I can sleep in a little so I’m not totally dead, lol. Alright that’s it for now folks, talk to you tomorrow. Goodnight chicos and chicas. Happy weekend.
