Ever since I saw a Chikn Nuggit episode involving one of the more recent characters, I've been thinking: "You know what? Bezel deserves a solo story."

Here's a hypothetical WIP cover for a comic book revolving around this guy, inspired by Loki (obviously, because who else?). I've already drawn the lines and everything. It's gonna be way better in color, trust me.
As soon as I actually hop to it.

A gaggle of onlookers, staring. Transfixed. But why? As I got closer, I could hear the gasps. The murmurs of disbelief. And then I saw it... And I knew... nothing would ever be the same again.

Atomic scientists set the Doomsday Clock closer to midnight than ever before on Tuesday, saying threats of nuclear war, disease and climate volatility have been exacerbated by Russia's invasion of Ukraine, putting humanity at greater risk of annihilation.
The Doomsday Clock, created by the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists to illustrate how close humanity has come to the end of the world, moved its "time" in 2023 to 90 seconds to midnight, 10 seconds closer than it has been for the past three years.
Midnight on this clock marks the theoretical point of annihilation. The clock's hands are moved closer to or farther away from midnight based on scientists' reading of existential threats at a particular time.
The new time reflects a world in which Russia's invasion of Ukraine has revived fears of nuclear war.

propaganda:
I'm reading Doomsday Clock and was caught of guard by the "I know Jon intimately well, physically and emotionally." with 'intimately' in bold from Adrian (which actually makes sense in a non shipping way but it took me a second to get there)

i love Superman but i’ve noticed ever since Doomsday Clock, they keep mentioning how he’s this cosmic embodiment of hope and that his essence spreads and influences the rest of the universe and i just don’t like that? Superman deserves to have all the admiration in universe from everyone and he’s definitely legendary but to state that the entire universe basically bends to his will kinda dips into shades of “chosen one” stuff that i don’t like at all. he chose to be a hero, he wasn’t destined to be one.
It's reducing him to literally being a one note character while doubling as meaningless character wank that I couldn't care less about. Also rings hollow since we all know who the REAL center of the universe is for DC. Instead of all this metacommentary on how important Superman is, in a blatant effort to make people care for him who usually don't, I'd rather see him doing cool stuff that makes readers go "whoa I gotta check this out!" For all his flaws I feel like Williamson is at least attempting to do that, and Aaron seems poised to do the same, while also using Superman to touch on the concerns of the day in a way that the more light hearted Williamson series isn't built for.
