For An Anarchist Radio Relay League
Tumblr media
A free zine about amateur radio for anarchists.
For an Anarchist Radio Relay League (0.24.1.1)
For an Anarchist Radio Relay League (0.24.1.1) -booklet
However, in a time when the United States government is fighting tooth and nail for the preservation of its own legitimacy while simultaneously eviscerating community services by way of privatization (Health Care, Postal Service, Public Land, Public schools, you name it), it is as important for the anti-authoritarian Working Class to learn about the science and art of radio communication as it is to learn how to grow food and shoot straight. (read "Factories, Fields, and the Firearms to Defend Them" by Hybachi LeMar )
In fact, in October of 2020, Ajit Pai's* FCC** ordered amateur access to the 3.5GHz band to be "sunset" (http://www.arrl.org/news/fcc-orders-amateur-access-to-3-5-ghz-band-to-sunset ) so that the frequency space can be sold to private companies to expand the new 5G mobile network. While this isn't exactly disastrous for anyone other than a specific sub-set of Hams***, it is par for the course for this early half of the 21st Century that the government would sell off public property to the highest bidder so that private companies can sell it back to "Consumers" and lock poor people out of access to something as ubiquitous as air or water. Sound familiar? (https://iaffaiorg.wordpress.com/2020/10/11/skills-for-revolutionary-survival-5-communications-equipment-for-rebels/)

On Feb. 22, a lunar lander named Odysseus touched down near the moon's South Pole and popped out four antennas to record radio waves around the surface—a moment University of Colorado Boulder astrophysicist Jack Burns hails as the "dawn of radio astronomy from the moon." It was a major achievement for the tenacious lander, which was built by the Houston-based company Intuitive Machines and had to overcome a series of technical difficulties to make it to the lunar surface. Burns is co-investigator on the radio experiment that flew aboard Odysseus called Radio wave Observations at the Lunar Surface of the photo Electron Sheath (ROLSES). He'll give an update on the ROLSES data, and will share what's in store for future radio astronomy from the moon, this week at the 244th Meeting of the American Astronomical Society in Madison, Wisconsin.

Battery-free technology can power electronic devices using ambient radiofrequency signals
Ubiquitous wireless technologies like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and 5G rely on radio frequency (RF) signals to send and receive data. A new prototype of an energy harvesting module—developed by a team led by scientists from the National University of Singapore (NUS)—can now convert ambient or "waste" RF signals into direct current (DC) voltage. This can be used to power small electronic devices without the use of batteries. RF energy harvesting technologies, such as this, are essential as they reduce battery dependency, extend device lifetimes, minimize environmental impact, and enhance the feasibility of wireless sensor networks and IoT devices in remote areas where frequent battery replacement is impractical. However, RF energy harvesting technologies face challenges due to low ambient RF signal power (typically less than -20 dBm), where current rectifier technology either fails to operate or exhibits a low RF-to-DC conversion efficiency. While improving antenna efficiency and impedance matching can enhance performance, this also increases on-chip size, presenting obstacles to integration and miniaturization.

What do you think Overhaul and Radio Waves would make?
Quirk Marriage between Overhaul and Radio Waves please 🥺
New Quirk Name: Radio Star
This Emitter type Quirk allows the user to detect, control, and alter artificial electrical signals within a long range of themselves. This control is precise and refined, able to intercept or alter any sort of radio signal traveling through the air, such as spoofing enemy messages or sending a specific one to a nearby phone. This can let the user influence technology as well by influencing how and where the signals move. This can let the user change how the electronics function as well, like misfiring a signal in a car to make it go backwards instead of forwards. This gives the user a dangerous power, allowing them to control the signals around them to undermine their foes. They can disrupt enemy communications, cause malfunctions in technology, side out hidden codes and messages to their allies, bypass electronic devices like car locks, influence technology in their favor, cause immense chaos with large-scale breakdowns and blackouts, or simply turn their own hands as a universal remote for all of their electronics. Though this only works on artificial electrical signals, the power is less useful in areas with little to no technology, and they cannot change the function of the device. The usage of this Quirk is dependent on the user's hands and will require some finesse in order to properly change in the signals.

Planet UFO – magnetic fields and radio waves
Tumblr media
At last a game about UFO sausage itself. By the way, you are flying at the planet, where these UFO are living. Planet is fantastic. Surface of the planet is pink and green. And it is creating an objects. With a form of spheres, squares and rectangles. It is something like trees or mountains. But, it is something another, its own.
Tumblr media
There is a very strong magnetic field at this planet, And strong radio waves. They make a their own structures. Whole oceans. And events at this fantastic planet. It is something like Solaris. Planet ocean. But another way. Magnetic field is very strong here, and it is like some force of nature at this planet and it forms a whole islands, for example. Out of radio waves. And radio waves – can make a whole ocean. Such a fantastic ideas. Of a strange planet. The planet, where UFO sausage is living.
Tumblr media
Game itself it is a pseudo three dimensional flight at the UFO sausage. With CGA style colors. About 4 colors. You can turn left and right. To avoid objects. Circles and squares. They are with black color. Background of surface is moving with different speed. More speed higher for background- more intense it has a magnetic field, It is the idea.
Tumblr media
Magnetic field can be 1.8 – it is small magnetic field, slow move. And it can be big strong field. It is 0.3 parameter of background. Background moves with most big speed in this game.
Tumblr media
And you are flying and avoiding obstacles. This is the idea. To flight a certain distance. As in a learning book about math class. From point A to point B.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Distance is at the right part of the screen. And a the left - it is your energy. Levels are described with a fantastic conditions. Parameters of field, distance. In such fantastiс terms. And even there is – standalone theme of game – it is map of the planet. Pink planet. With white lines. Intense of field. Radio waves. Don’t forget, that there is no else thing at this planet. Two powers are active here, and they form everything. It is radio waves and magnetic field. They are, of course, not like a the planet Earth. And some fantastic.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There are descriptions for these regions of the planet. Total 42 regions. It is 42 episodes. They have 1 or several levels. Maximum it is 4 levels for a region. For more interest they are separated for 8 zones. Zone s are goes about higher and higher intense of magnetic field. You select region. And next - to read description of a region you select. Number of levels. And length of them. And something else. Power of the field.
Tumblr media
Game is a retro science fiction theme. Strange, maybe. Regions – there are lots of them. It is a big planet giant. It is rotation somewhere in a depth of space. And from those space, UFO sausages are flying.
Tumblr media
Game has some feature. It is main menu. You make a selection of game mode. F1 – normal mode. F2 – extended mode. Mainly, it is similar. But, simply, in extended mode, it is drawn square of a UFO sausage, hitbox, and two lines along the screen. For easier navigation. Just like you inside of UFO turn on some options. And something to indicate at the screen, as additional information.
Tumblr media
Videogame, it is fourth, in a game plan TRIA. Final. In this plan. And as I finish it, I will start to prepare 4 new games for publish. Plan TRIA is going to its final.
Tumblr media
Program part and overview description
Videogame is written with programming language QB64. It is modern version of QBasic. Game use 4 colors, that do imitation of colors MS DOS CGA. Pseudo three dimensional about way of movement. Something like arcade. Maybe, a game about – just to have a relax. Fly at some distance. Turn left or right. And do not crash into game objects – squares and circles. Game is with science fiction theme. There are texts and description of the planet.
Tumblr media
Development state
So, for this time, I pay attention to decoration for the game. I do programming for menus with planet map. And it has lots of text. I create all these Sci Fi theme. With descriptions. And someway decorate the menus. In a pink color. I need to check, that everything works. And, maybe, to make menus more interesting. Maybe, to draw a picture with UFO sausage. And, mainly, - it is everything done!
Tumblr media
It is, already, game number four in development plan TRIA. So, as soon as I finish this one. I will prepare all the things. And publish 4 new games in terms of new version of pack Basic Pascal.
Tumblr media
This game will be released in terms of new version Basic Pascal Pack games. This game and some more games will be in a new version Basic Pascal Pack. As soon as I will have several complete games. All of them will to be in a new version Basic Pascal Pack. And a new version Basic Pascal Pack will be published for download.
Tumblr media
Basic Pascal pack - whole pack of games and programes, written with basic and pascal. It is retro. With each game and program there is a page at author`s website. There are aditional information, descriptions, pictures, arts.

Radio waves emitted from the hydrogen gas that filled the universe millions of years ago may contain clues about the cosmic “dark ages” before the formation of the first stars.
Tumblr media
This study was led by Prof. Rennan Barkana’s research group, including the postdoctoral fellow Rajesh Mondal. Their novel conclusions have been published in Nature Astronomy.
The researchers explain that while every car has an antenna that detects radio waves, the specific waves from the early universe are blocked by the Earth’s atmosphere. They can only be studied from space, particularly the moon, which offers a stable environment, free of any interference from an atmosphere or from radio communications.
They say that putting a telescope on the moon isn’t an impossible dream, given that the United States, Europe, China and India are engaged in an international space race to return to the moon with space probes and, eventually, astronauts. Their research may intrigue one of these countries to try detecting radio waves from the cosmic dark ages.
Barkana explained: “NASA’s new James Webb space telescope discovered recently distant galaxies whose light we receive from the cosmic dawn, around 300 million years after the Big Bang. Our new research studies an even earlier and more mysterious era: the cosmic dark ages, only 50 million years after the Big Bang.”
Barkana said that conditions in the early universe were quite different from today and that using radio observations to determine the density and temperature of hydrogen gas at various times can reveal what is still to be discovered.
Furthermore, a radio telescope consisting of an array of antennas could accurately determine the amount of hydrogen and of helium in the universe. Hydrogen is the original form of ordinary matter in the universe, from which stars, planets, and eventually life began.

It’s August. You log onto your home computer to take an Are You Actually Annoying?? uquiz. You already know the answer. The last downloaded song on your underground microcelebrity Tidal account is YMCA by the minions. Has your dentist called you back yet? You have whole grain basmati rice from your multi cultural queer brunch stuck in your wisdom tooth hole but the amount of photo widgets of John Waters on your Home Screen makes all your apps crash immediately after opening them, including the phone. This means you can only engage in psych rock discourse with divorced boomers on X in 30 second increments. Outside a vicious rain reminiscent of terrassic era storms blurs the view out your windows. You begin concocting a post. “If I were the size of an ant I would”— back space “CSNY’s Portland polyamorous polycule is kind of like”— backspace “when Bob Dylan’s water breaks it’s just oat milk”— backspace. You watch the follower count on your satirical fujoshi 60s themed blog drop from 956 to 953 before you delete and log off. The storm windows shake. You’re just too clever for your own good.

The very lowest frequencies of the radio Universe have just been revealed in spectacular clarity. A team of astronomers has used a new calibration technique to give us the first sharp images of the radio Universe in the frequency range of 16-30 megahertz – an achievement previously thought impossible, due to the turbulent interference generated by Earth's ionosphere. "It's like putting on a pair of glasses for the first time and no longer seeing blurred," says astronomer Christian Groeneveld of Leiden University in the Netherlands, who led the research. Seeing the Universe with radio eyes presents some interesting challenges at the best of times.

Measuring Length: Transit-Time Measurements
One method of measuring distance, or length, is to emit a signal toward an object and measure the length of time it takes for that signal to return. Any signal can work for this method (sound, light, etc.), so long as the math for the speed of that signal is known (such as the speed of sound in water, or the speed of light in air, etc.). Then, a mathematical calculation can be performed to determine the distance between the signal emitter and the object.
Radar is one example of this method, using radio waves to determine distance. Another example is the global positioning system (GPS), which determines distance based on the time difference between your device and the signals sent from multiple satellites.
