#personal #I’m feeling so frustrated #my orientation is Friday and I’ve been saying for weeks how nervous I am for it #and yet he thinks that’s the best day to go to his friend’s (who I strongly dislike for good reasons) house for a sleepover??#aka I will spend tomorrow alone and the night alone and wake up alone and have to take care of the pets before I leave #and then his grandma is coming this weekend which I love her but bad timing #and I agreed to the weekend but found out this morning that she isn’t leaving Sunday afternoon like I thought #no she leaves Monday morning aka my first day of school #I haven’t been a full time student in 5 years. this program was insanely hard to get into and I didn’t think I’d make it but I did!#this is a HUGE deal for me #and I feel like I’m being swept under the rug? idk how to describe it #but I feel like my needs are not being heard and it makes me feel really really alone #ugh #and I have nobody to talk to about this will either #so I guess I’ll just let it eat me up inside until it manifests in my ed #woohoo

#fantasy high #riz gukgak #kristen applebees #gorgug thistlespring #adaine abernant #fabian seacaster #figueroth faeth #the bad kids #half tempted to say these names are forum handles they use so much it pretty much became their professional names lol #I keep them teenagers bc its funnier that way #no real lore I just like drawing this. but I do think abt how theyre all weirdos too also bc thats funny to me #riz is a huge conspiracyhead who does everything by hands. he has a casio fx-570 in mint condition. nobody knows how he's maintaining it #he is nonetheless Really Good at his job. which somewhat tracks bc it's a job that requires keeping up with interstation conflicts #and new policies and an obsessive amount of planning. but he is Too Good at it. and also he dresses like that #kristen has the atomic engine that theoretically lets her unmake and remake matters with her mind. but it consumes a huge amount #of energy so it's mostly useless. she's still a cult survivor also #gorgug lives his entire life on a ship with his parents who quit a cushy deal maintaining a space station bc he wouldn't be allowed on #the low gravity let him grow very tall but also his oxygen saturation is pretty bad so he's got breathing support #fig is a robot who just found out she's a robot like two months ago. she's been assuming everyone's a robot like her and she's been feeling #very betrayed by her mom lying about that part. she's on a body mod spree which is rough bc system-specific parts are expensive #and so is adapting random parts to her system #fabian's still a pirate captain's son. can't say anything that'd be able to get the vibes across clearer than that #adaine went to tech/business school. she put her monthly allowance towards an ecoterrorist group in her academy which turned out to be an o #and she's currently wanted by UTS. more than fabian. which makes him slightly mad #she's also acquired a passion for low-tech weaponry on the way. she likes ice picks and cleavers #I think up all of this for no reason except that once again the idea of all these people being 1/teens and 2/on the same ship to be posties #is hilarious to me. esp. if they were in a forum group chat beforehand

A lot of people think my autism is “getting better” but I think a lot of it has to do with being an adult and being able to make my own decisions. I used to have frequent meltdowns and shutdowns and on the outside seemed more “obviously” autistic. But I’m 19 now, so I have a lot more say in my life. I only buy one brand of socks. I only own 2 types of shoes. All of my clothes are the exact same. I only eat what *I* want to eat and think feels safe. I can drive and can choose when to leave for appointments and obligations. If I were still a child and forced to wear socks with seams in the toes or clothes that fit me wrong or foods that trigger my sensory issues or have my routine thrown off by other people, I would have A LOT more issues. But since I’m an adult, I have control over most aspects of my life. I’m not “less autistic” now, I just have more free will and know myself well enough to avoid triggers.

#autism is a neurodevelopmental condition #you’re born with it #it can’t ‘get better’#BUT!!!!!!#and this is a huge but #you CAN learn ways to deal with it better!!!!#you can learn how to cope #and how to work with autism instead of fighting it #let me tell you. if someone forced me to eat peas right now….. we know EA interfered a lot with veilguard, i definitely do attribute the "sanitization" of the setting directly to EA's meddling, i even think to some extent taash's quest and the corporate representation feel of it all was influenced heavily by EA and not just weekes. and i think a lot of the companions being so shallow and their quests feeling half-baked is also mostly due to time constraints and rewrites/cut content-- the writers genuinely did do the best they could with what they had, and i feel for them and their frustrations. but. there are also just a lot of really bad decisions made elsewhere, too. like i said the racism has always been present in these games and it's always been a problem, it's literally baked into the worldbuilding, though i can definitely agree that some of it was potentially made worse specifically in veilguard due to constant rewrites and the loss of context and cohesion, but like... it was always there to begin with... and it's not "unfair" for players to point this out.

both things can be true-- EA absolutely fucked these people over, and we shouldn't be speculating conspiracy theory-type shit about the writers hating fans or whatever when we know. we know EA interfered, we know there were creative differences, we know they ruthlessly laid off a lot of the people that poured their blood, sweat, and tears into this game! EA is both stupid and actively malicious, they get no sympathy from me. veilguard absolutely is a casualty of the current state of the gaming industry. and i also think there were a lot of poor writing decisions made independently of that as well, that are fair to criticize and question. a lot of these problems are the same problems we've seen in every single DA game, and this consistency makes it clear this is not just an issue with corporate overreach.

but i really feel for everyone involved with making this game, this shit was clearly a very long and tiring fight, i can't even imagine the kind of constant corporate shitstorm they had to deal with for ten fucking years, and personally there is no NDA in the world that would keep me from talking shit. so these guys are stronger than me lol

#sorry i know these are just silly posts on tumblr dot edu but its important to me that people know im mostly being flippant #in some of my negative comments #like i dont think the writers are evil or whatever theyre just humans with biases that are very apparent in some of the things they write #and i also understand they got shafted big time and no one deserves the treatment they got #i could never be a narrative designer or writer in the gaming industry i would be so sickkkkkkkkkk #i follow this one author. the guy who wrote warm bodies. and he sent out a newsletter recently about how he was working on #a huge gaming project for a UK based company #and then the game got scrapped and they sealed all of his writing in a vault to just Never be released #oh i would be on the NEWS!!!!!! i couldn't do it. these people may be insufferable at times but they have my respect #for dealing with this shit. i could never #da posting

holy shit I did NOT realize how popular my "I will remove my teeth, for I want to remain kind despite my anger" quote is. I just googled it for fun to see what would come up, a bunch of people are quoting it not knowing who its from, an artist called Kuma made an album titled that, so bizzare

#also people are misatributing the quote to kuma and the first google result for the quote attributes it to them #which is kind of upsetting but not a huge deal whatever #its cool it seems to have entered culture like that #i get very mixed feelings about those instances where something I made got WAY more popular than i expected and #people are reposting it or using it without attributing it to me #i both feel bad when stuff isnt credited to me but also good that my art has expanded beyond my reach #its out of my control kind of and other people have it now #which IS what i want for my art and how i generally think art should be #but it is also obviously causes some anxiety to lose control and really full ownership of something that is yours #i think also there is anxiety about something of mine being taken by someone bigger than me #since they can just claim it as their own and most people will know them as the origin #not talking specifically about this quote btw just any of my work #ive definetly been thinking about that hbomberguy vid lol #i hope any of this made sense im a little high rn

This is a little silly and pedantic, but to be quite clear, neither Dean nor Sam nor Cas ever called a woman on Supernatural a "whore" besides The Whore of Babylon from 5.17 because it was her literal name. Funnily enough, Dean is actually a little taken aback and admonishes Cas for calling a woman that before he realizes it's her actual name.

SAM: Well, for starters…Leah is not a real prophet. DEAN: Well, what is she, exactly? CASTIEL: The whore. DEAN: Wow. Cas, tell us what you really think. CASTIEL: She rises when Lucifer walks the earth. “And she shall come, bearing false prophecy.” This creature has the power to take a human’s form, read minds. Book of Revelation calls her “the Whore of Babylon.”

There are other uses of the word "whore" in the series but none of them came from TFW. Crowley is a big fan of "whore" though.
