A warning for trauma survivors looking for online support

You may have come across the acronym "RAMCOA", which stands for "ritual abuse, mind control, and organized abuse."

If you search the Internet for RAMCOA, you might come across a result like this:

If you click the link, you'll be taken to a site that briefly describes what RAMCOA supposedly is, with content like:

MC - Mind Control. A shortened form of TBMC, standing for Torture Based Mind Control. MC is also known as programming, where victims are repeatedly tortured starting at a very young age to intentionally cause a system of dissociated parts that function perfectly to suit the abusers' needs.

alpha : a base program, one of the very first implemented. it trains the victim's mind to accept every order given by handlers willingly. parts with alpha programming will often have no will of their own, and very little personality outside of following orders.

aiw : alice in wonderland. typically split into 3 different sections : black alice, white alice, and crazy alice. ideally, a system scripted with aiw would have all three. white alice makes sure the system forgets the trauma, black alice makes the system feel like theyll be a danger to others if they remember the trauma, and crazy alice makes the system think theyre making it up or going insane if they ever remember it.

Literally all of this comes from a conspiracy theory - specifically, the Project Monarch alter programming conspiracy. It was developed and pushed by far right conspiracy theorists. Most of what people run into specifically traces back to Fritz Springmeier, a man who claimed in the 90's that the fight for gay rights was part of a plot to enthrone the antichrist in the year 2000. The Project Monarch conspiracy theory was always adjacent to the Satanic Panic, if not a somewhat niche part of it. If you start checking citations, you will find many of these people citing Svali, a conspiracy theorist who gets a lot of her material from Springmeier. (Example 1, example 2.)

This is no accident. The term RAMCOA was created by the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation (ISSTD), which was created by and for psychologists who believed in the myths promoted during the Satanic Panic.

The RA part comes from "satanic ritual abuse," which was coined by Dr. Lawrence Pazder of Michelle Remembers (cw for descriptions of horrible abuses) fame. Lawrence Pazder is the man who effectively started the Satanic Panic. It cannot be overstated that Pazder, now a known malpractitioner, was considered the expert on ritual abuse during this time.

The MC part comes from "trauma-based mind control," which was coined to refer to the alleged abuses inflicted in Project Monarch. Parts of this conspiracy theory that can't be traced back to Fritz Springmeier can usually be traced back to Cathy O'Brien and Mark Phillips, two other (really racist) conspiracy theorists.

Ultimately, the entire conspiracy theory is constructed from tropes that go back to The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion (a known antisemitic hoax), blood libel, and early modern witch panic.

Searching the Internet for RAMCOA resources, ritual abuse, or trauma-based mind control will always bring you to conspiracy theorists.

(Also, the term OEA, which stands for "organized extreme abuse," will lead you to conspiracy theorists as well.)

So yeah, if you're looking for support, be very wary of this stuff. It will absolutely not help you heal; just the opposite.

You know, that iconic part of Return of the King where Legolas goes and hangs out outside the Tower of Cirith Ungol for two days. Well. I didn't like it.

Far be it from me to criticize the writing in the Mordor quests (🚨SARCASM ALERT 🚨) but the entire tower of Cirith Ungol story arc really does have all the orcs constantly talking about how they're looking for some kind of "great elf warrior" that they're sure is still around there somewhere and meanwhile Legolas spends the whole time just kind of chilling like six feet away from the tower not hiding at all and nothing ever comes of that

I have to wear kt tape which means blorbos have to wear kt tape.

It becomes one of Andrew and Neils many little rituals.

The second they get back to the dorms after a game they tuck themselves away. Thanking god that theyre both short enough that they can fit comfortably together in the dorms tiny bathroom.

Sometimes they shower together beforehand, sometimes Neil sits on the closed toilet lid and idly talks about the dumb call Kevin made to him mid game that lost them a shot on goal or the way Allison had tossed the ball towards him and it hit his chest pad before landing in his net.

Sometimes Andrew sits on the floor, leaning against the cabinets (“yes Neil, sitting on the toilet lid is still gross” he snarks as he slides to the floor). And he’ll talk about whichever cave diving horror story he watched during his economics class instead of watching the lecture.

And Neil will hop out of the shower, shoot a glance at the fogged up mirror and tug a pair of boxers on despite still being half dripping wet. And Andrew will raise his eyebrows and scrunch up his nose at the idea of wearing wet boxers but wont say anything out loud, Neil already knows and does it anyways because he loves the reaction he gets.

Andrew will already have a dry towel tossed on the ground for them to sit on, the fan brring above their heads as the steam slowly gets filtered out.

Neil always does Andrews first, tapping twice gently against the side of his neck so Andrew will stretch out, letting Neil weave the kt tape across his shoulders and arms. Two taps to the elbow so he’ll lift his arm a bit higher when the tape stretches across his bicep.

One tap to his other shoulder so Andrew knows to shift his body and aim his other side towards Neil, and the process starts again.

When Neil finishes up and Andrew has stretched this way and that to make sure the tape is holding properly, having gone and gotten his arms nearly torn off from a striker too close to the goal trying to make a shot. The tape the best recovery help option for a man who had taken one look at the massage brochure abby had offered him and left the room.

Once Andrews done, Neil goes next.

They work quietly when Andrew is getting his done, but both start to chatter up again once its Neils turn. Debating back and forth which call of duty is better and whether Neil is allowed to have an opinion on it when hes only played zombies with Aaron.

Theyll sit in silence for a few moments longer, until Andrew complains about the lingering steam in the room making his shirt stick to his back and Neil will laugh loudly at him as he scrambles to stand up and tug Andrew up with him.

They’ll scurry back to the bedroom to get changed, Andrew grumbling about the obnoxious pair of Ninja Turtles sweats that Neil pulls on, ignoring the hypocrisy as he tugs a pair of Batman ones over his own hips.

They’ll drag their tired selves out into the living room, toss themselves onto the couch next to where Nicky is sprawled out, the taller man groaning at the sight of them and letting himself roll of the couch onto the pile of blankets on the floor to let them take his spot.

Aarons already half asleep in a bean bag, he’d ended up playing nearly the full game earlier that night, but a controller is still tightly held in his hands as he navigates through the call of duty game he’d recently gotten his hands on, a quiet gasp escaping his mouth at the reveal of Roach being killed by Shepard.

He turns off the game immediately after with a loud groan, dragging his hands over his face before he turns to the rest of them to start complaining about the plot.

Neil sleepily tucks closer to Andrew, the blonde absentmindedly rubbing his thumb over the edge of the wrap around Neils knees, humming along to show Aaron he’s still listening as his twin continues his rant.

this show is so goddamn confusing because blitz what do you MEAN you "suck pussy"? you certainly weren't sucking verosikas pussy! or any of your other exes pussies for that matter!

it feels like they wanted to have a joke about him being pansexual, but its so out of place if youve watched the show up to that point, because blitz barely fucking likes women. if he doesn't like them, then his immediate reaction is misogynistic insults or straight up trying to kill them, and while millie is an exception, shes still in a committed relationship, which basically implies the one women he might actually want to have sex with will never reciprocate those feelings because of her marriage.

geninuely, as a pansexual person, it makes me wonder why they didnt just make him gay instead. hes shown more attraction to men then to women (which could just be a preference if he wasn't so cartoonishly and uncomfortably cruel to adult women in comparison,) and theyll never show him being attracted to someone in hell whos outside of being male or female, because knowing viv, she probably just sees nonbinary people as women lite. if his sexuality was made to be pansexual just so they could make jokes about him wanting to fuck moxxie and millie, then thats fine, but they even really arent taking advantage of that joke anymore anyways. and probably won't when s3 and s4 become the stoliz show. ghost fuckers probably wont either, even if it does look like a millie and blitz episode.

theyll happily use his pansexuality to have him have a giant party full of his exes when he needs to look worse then the guy who coerced him into sex for a year every month, though. it pisses me off so bad. its maybe the only time in s2 where blitz's sexuality mattered to the episode, but not in an interesting way like s1 did it with spring broken. and thats on top of none of the exes actually being characters with their own stories of how they met blitz and broke up with him, which would make them feel a little fleshed out and less like a plot devices that need to exist so the story can get where it wants to without putting it any critical thought into it.

because if they did that, since it's a pretty logical thing to happen at a party full of exes obsessed over the same guy, stolas would either need to respond by being honest and being kicked out of the party for the disgusting creep he is, or, he would have to lie to stay. both of which would highlight how little stolas deserves to be there, and shows just how much viv would rather create characters to conveniently make stool-ass look better, instead of actually exploring a side of the main characters life in an engaging way.

This stupid show needs to make up its mind whether Blitz is good in bed or not. It needs to make up its mind about a lot of things, but that's definitely one of them.

so overall i cant say that lindel and adolf are my fav characters or that i am terribly invested in them so i dont feel i got a TON out of this chapter but i am excited with the last page we got. happy for the lindel enjoyers and the lore dump yall got. i guess im not sure what purpose this new dragon is serving either because its (probably) not related to red vs white dragon conflict. i guess you could say that its a third dragon that emphasizes the importance of choosing your own path rather than being locked in this fated cyclical battle the way the red and white dragons are, which would be in line with tambs greater themes. like a third choice, i guess. adolf is also shaping up to be in a similar position to chise - that is, he has a unique relationship with magic, and his master has to lie for him so he wont be unduly researched lol. i am interested to see how much time we will see chise actually studying or being in class considering all the other things shes now expected to be responsible for. her ass is not studying 💯💯💯

trailer thoughts/general predictions

2009 - time travel as a theatrical bit, kind of tatinof esque with the microwave thing. Theyll be acting it out like woah whats happening bwoosh and then a little like dial going back through the years. also didnt they mention bill and ted recently?? itll be like those vibes

ppl have already said this but the trailer solidifies to me that it might be some kind of choose ur own adventure with the "you want to influence me?". Like that must be some kind of audience deceides thing the dollhouse also makes me think about this, like with all the screens its about audience perception + dynamics/control between them, the audience and wider public. the idea of them as characters or dolls that ppl play with project ideas onto. terrible influence but its not just them influencing us its us influencing them, feedback loop etc

but circling back a bit could be like exploring the different ways things couldve gone? idea of multiple universes? maybe a conclusion we are in a "good timeline" reconciling with the past but being greatfull for where we're at

maybe the plot is they have to go back in time to fix something/do something different but realize its already perfect in its own way?? idk I think there will be some kind of "plot" for the campiness and theatricality of it all, but it also could be them looking back through the eyes of the audience kind of thing?

okok so i wrote like an essay of predictions and what i thinks gonna happen next on in the notes app on on my phone bc i was camping when i finished reading it so i had no service and couldn't go online and tell people my thoughts 😭😭

i think eves whole kidnapping thing is bc of eve (obviously bc like slate is working with her) but because eve wants gray's attention

i cant remember if she knows about lyra or not but still

i just think this because i dont think she would really want anything to do with gigi, just using her bc gray

basically my main point is i think the main plot glorious rivals is going to be about finding gigi (i hope im right and she doesnt get dropped of at home in like chapter three or these will all be incorrect)

when gray finds out what happened to gigi he will flip out. obviously savannah will too probably moreso bc like thats her twin but gray is very protective of them both so he'll freak out like crazy

especially once they inevitably put the peices together and realies why kidnapped her, he'll probably want to kill eve (i'd say not actually but i wouldn't be surprised if he genuinely did. i do so like)

i think that both grayson and savannah will like actually refuse to participate further in the grandest game until they find out what happened to her

and obviously avery and the others arent apathetic so theyre gonna understand and its either gonna be cancelled/postponed

and when they do pause/end the game, they arent gonna tell people why cause that'd cause more drama

omg also im forgetting her name but gigi and savannah;s mom. i feel like she's either gonna be a really big character in the next book or not in it at all, i dont think theres really gonna be an in between.

also xander was really starting to grow a friendship with gigi, so he'd be concerned too.

i want gray and xander to have more "screen time" together and like grow their relationship bc they have a funny dynamic but we dont see it a lot

OHHHH WHERE DO I BEGIN.

I have this silly plot going on in my head where Winston gets saved and given help to get himself together and happier. Though his glitching and stutter cant be fixed, and hes ultimately wounded by the situation he was in- hes a lot happier and finding peace with it all in his own way. (Hes still convinced the company needs him and all he needs is to 'talk to' his 'bosses' and theyll have been worried and let him right back in. Hes in denial... just a tad)

But if he ever met Dana... there would be... so much contention. I dont think either of them would dislike each other at all.

But I think Winston would be devestated learning he got replaced so easily, by someone who looks so much like him. Someone who didnt go through what he has and is more put together and well built and successful. And I think Dana would feel horribly guilty and a little sick to realise 1. that she replaced someone in such unfortunate circumstances and 2. that the same could end up to themselves if something were to happen.

Both of them kinda reflecting on how... corrupt things can be.

I HAVE MORE about Danas origins being a skelecog who was built by a company seperate from the big one but abandoned, half built with only her radio head solidly made- after the company went bust. She was found and became a radio star after 'charme-ing' (lol) her way to the position. And after she was hired by Cogs.Inc he was under the impression that they 'saved' him and hed never be left behind to rot again. (All taken from the fact her canonical dislikes includes 'confined spaces') I just think that giving her a parallel to Winston; Dana was originally left in the dark and then 'saved' by the company, as compared to Winston who was built for it and was later abandoned would be super interesting to explore.

THOUGH I DONT WANNA MAKE IT TOO DARK OF COURSE. I just love exploring characters like this :3 I have like mental analysis' and headcanons for so many characters i should really make a document SHDGHSDG

i think they can do it and it’ll be cute... gemfourth suit aoki and iida well. its just…. i dont know, i have an instinctive ‘noooo’ reaction to this remake. i like kiekoi soso much and i worry a lot. it does not have the exact charm for me.

also for me i wanted something a little different out of gemfourth. they have the range. but again, i do think theyll do well enough with this? so i'm mostly just being..... idk. :<

gotta write down my act 3/ season 2 thoughts while they’re still warm (watched act 3 then slept on it)

okay so.

first things first, Isha. I deeply dislike her character. I can’t really dislike her because homegirl barley has exists as anything other than a plot device

the minute she was introduced she felt like some plot device (plus i don’t like her character design at all), then she started following jinx around and yeah. I knew exactly how she was gonna get used, by dying to break jinx even more.

the main issue have with her is that with sooooo much stuff going on in the show, they didn’t really have time to grow her as a character I could care about, other than Jinx’s little buddy, so it really had no impact, I barely accepted that Jinx cared for her at that point.

And it’s very disappointing when you see a character and all you can think is “oh yeah, that’s a tool that theyll use later” instead of a character I could actually grow attached to.

Plus! she’s entirely irrelevant to act 3, straight up barely mentioned! I personally think they didn’t really need her, I think they could have done something great with just Jinx and Sevika and the rest of the Undercity using her as a symbol. the pieces were there but it didn’t really feel like they delivered.

And in general, I think the biggest gripe I have with season 2 is how unsatisfying their handling of the whole Piltover vs Zaun thing was. That was the main issue in season 1 (along with Vi/Powder, but I’ll get there) and here it took such a background spot. Ngl, it felt bad! the final battle being “there’s a common enemy so let’s put aside our differences and fight these sexy zombie-robots!” was sooooo disappointing. What the fuck??? that was the whole point of the story! Zaun is still oppressed!! oh weaaaow they put sevika in the. council? The right hand man? the brawler? alone in a room filled otherwise with piltover’s rich ass people?

yeah, truly satisfying.

I liked in act 1 how they showed the power vacuum after Silco died, how inadequate the chem barons were, but like, they did not deliver on that storyline either, they let it frizzle out. “sure now theres just a bunch of leaderless gangs, one has blue hair and pronouns”. eh

The other big thing that made me legitimately sad, and i did mention it before, is how dirty they did Cait in act 2. I loved the direction they took her in act 1, dictator Cait,Fascist Cait, after being the fish outta water, the damsel in distress being kidnapped while in the shower, girl got her traumas! The visceral and emotion numbing hatred she had for Jinx was so intresting. she hated her, she feared her, thought everyone was on that same page because she was blinded by her own grief. And she was so so wrong!! and she got manipulated so easily by Ambessa!

And I just wish they’d given her more time to show how that pain and power and relentless hatred eroded at her soul. I had no doubt they would have her go back on her choices (tho a part of me also wanted to see her get dragged so low she couldn’t climb back out. What can I say, I love a tragedy and Cait is one of my favorite characters), get back to Vi, but I wanted it to matter, to really show how fucked up she was.

And it didn’t feel like enough. There were hints of her disagreeing with Ambessa, with her use of power and violence, but never of her changing her goals really, she still seemed to be ready for anything as long as they got Jinx. And then she bumped into Vi and they didn’t show us how they came to that betrayal, only that they did. and uh? I didn’t like it.

In act 3 I liked her a bit more, idk if it’s because i had time to mourn dictator caitlyn and how little of her we actually got to see, or if maybe seeing her and Vi actually talk about how they were still mad placated me a little.

though, fuck me I really disliked the cell sex scene. Not the animation of course! shit was fucking well done, though some shots were so purposely for the camera that they felt kinda like porn, but I mostly laughed at that. No I didn’t like that it was in a jail cell, I didn’t like that it felt kind of outta nowhere? like yeah sure showing them fucking is a good way to hint at them having made up (cos Cait decided Jinx wasn’t so scary after all I guess? Like I can bekieve that, I just wished they’d shown ita bit more, but like I said, I liked it more than act 2), but the timing felt so off, Jinx just ran away to do gods know what, Vi is locked in a prison again, little fucked up?

Also the editing was, uh, a lot. I think of the Jayce/Mel sex scene as one of the best, the music, the cuts with viktor, the was the blood/magic and sex all mixed and crossfaded on screen? Holy shit that scene rules! So this one was… a bit disappointing once again.

(Maybe if season 1 didn’t exist I would have had a better time with s2 as a whole., but it does exist!!!)

anyway I was saying, I feel like a tasteful fade to black would have been better, tho my best choice would have been for them Not To Fuck in that scene, save it for later, or find something that works to make flow it a bit better (that isn’t king princess blasting in the speakers lmao)

I liked the choice to have the sniper lose an eye, girly did some war crimes and the like, a little bit of karma was needed there, plus I love when my faves get scarred forever.

speaking of karma, Maddie. Another. for the “why would they introduce her” pile. first time I saw her, approaching Vi in her drunken pit, it was either she’s a spy or shes gonna die tragically, same “plot device thing” as isha, then she slept with cait and yeah, if she’s not a spy i would have been surprised. what was her purpose tbh? Showing Cait rebounding was eh, didn’t feel that needed but sure alright. she tried to convince her to back out? so that ambessa could fully take over? if that’s the case it wasn’t reaaally clear. why was she there.

I didn’t get why Loris was so prominent at all. Sure use him as a sort of Vander stand in but also. They didn’t really??? It almost felt like they had ideas for a deeper story but they had to cut them for time and all that was left was this discount Vander who would sometimes pop up.

I just don’t feel like we really needed the fascist police squad to have names and relevance tbh, unless they were gonna be given some time, which they weren’t, because there was sooo much shit going on!!!

Now Vi, I have a more difficult time decoding how I feel about her, the line about whatever choice she makes being wrong kind encapsulates her character perfectly tbh. And I love that for her, absolute disaster woman with a heart as big as the sun. I wished they’d given more space to her choice to join the enforcers, explored that conflict more deeply, and also her feelings after the timeskip, but I have to admit I probably was only disappointed because I had seen the teaser of her emo phase in the pit, I feel like i would have enjoyed that sequence more if it hadn’t been shown already! I was thinking there was gonna be more but nope, just jinx showing up about Vander. And that’s again a core aspect of her, she fights Jinx about it for like, two seconds, before giving in. She loves her, she loves Vander, she wants to believe hes there, that their family could finally get back together, as broken and bruised as it is. And yeah I liked ep 5 the most out of that batch, because I did like how they dealt with their family (only gripe was isha, who had no real reason to be there but sure)

I hate her longer hair tho. I get thats its a bit more LoL accurate and that just makes me dislike it even more lmao. in the finale she was kinda there, punching and stuff, good for her. I didn’t reaaaally like her ending though, she lost everything, again, and she just goes to Piltover to live wth her rich cop gf? What about Zaun? Is the “you’re never getting rid of me” meant to say she’s joining the cops again? Cos I know she’s always a cop in LoL, but man, does that Not feel like the right move. All she seems to have left is Cait, is that supposed to mean she’s renounce her identity too? Cos if that’s the case it sucks ngl.

With Jinx, I have mixed feelings aswell. Like I said I wish they hadn’t used Isha. I don’t think she was needed, she’s broken, she’s hopeless, but she still wants to fuck shit up. Give more space to her and Sevika!!! Show her recognizing something of Silco in her!

Idk I need to think on her some more. I enjoyed the shot of her in the cell with her hair loose, got an honest gasp outta me. All she wanted at the end was to stop the bad feelings, save her sister and stop her father from suffering, and I guess she did! We’ll see her again for sure.

Vander/Warwick felt so underutilized, just missing parts of what would have made a great story. He didn’t even get to ball and cause much damage 😔 I wanted him to maim and destroy more shit even before the Viktor switch. I kinda wanted him to really hurt Vi or Jinx or someone they cared about. Tbh the show could have worked if they straight up not had him in it. He would have been perfect if season 2 had continued on the Piltover/Zaun and Vi/Jinx, but it did not, so he just felt like another loose thread flapping about.

Jayce and Victor are the people that in the overarchinseason I liked the most. It became their story, and it shows, even through hiccups and the many many things still going on. I’m unsure as to why Viktor agreed to ally with Ambessa, I probably gotta rewatch a few of his scenes. Was it to get help from Singed? idk.

Loved when Jayce showed up and killed Viktor in 6, and loved his Annihilation jaunt through bad ending Piltover, (ep 7 in general was amazing). I called the mage being Viktor and I liked that Jayce stayed consistent to his character from the very beginning, in that all he really wants is for his partner and him to help people and each other. Love wins! win for the yaoi fans. And I mean that truly, an ending so tragic and impactful, that ruled for them.

Mel… oh Mell… how they butchered you… It makes me so sad. The black rose plot was so egh. Unnecessary, took away time and for what? Mel and Ambessa already had reasons for conflict! no need to throw a new party into the mix. and so she spent most of the season in storage. Sad!

And then, she shows up and gets magic powers? That whole sequence with the magic lady whatever felt like a high value trailer for the new LoL champion!! coming soon to console and pc(tm). Didn’t feel like they let it breathe enough. Oh she got magic now, and people think thats bad for… reasons. That’s never been the point of Arcane, idk if it’s bigger in the game, but again, irrelevant. reminded me of that episode of Adventure Time where a dude who hates dark magic tries to kill Peppermint Butler, but instead Pep just turns all his children into monsters and the children are delighted and the dude just walks away with his monster kids. Which is to say, a bit silly, since in AT monsters and magic are just, everywhere.

I thought her design was still cool as hell, my roommate disliked it, I agree that her season 1 look was better tbh.

But the main thing is that she was so cool because she was just a very smart normal woman! That was amazing in a world filled with freaks who do freak shit! She was a political manipulator, ambitious but cautious, her character was so interesting and prone to mistakes because she was surrounded by freaks! and she was too normal to predict their shenanigans.

I can’t even remember the scene where she reunites with Ambessa rn, how is that possible? It must have been important, c’mon.

I did enjoy Cait and Mel being the ones to fight her together, though the choreography wasn’t too exciting (it felt a bit static with ambessa practically standing still as the girls threw themselves at her, though it did work in showing just how strong Ambessa was), I liked that Cait got at least a little bit of recognition from Ambessa, and got to show her why she was more than a tool.

Heimerdinger fucking exploded, funniest shit I’ve ever seen. He’s also probably still out there somewhere, being tossed around in the multiversus.

Ekko was so good. His only problem was the fact that he was missing for all of act 2. ep 7 like I said was one of the best of the series, Probably my fave of the season, but it was so unrelated to it that it’s difficult to put it on the same plane. I did roll my eyes at him building his time device from LoL, but they did manage to integrate it pretty seamlessly! (unlike the gloves and hammer in s1, but you gotta accept some shit) And it’s forgiven because he blows it up in Viktor’s face almost immediately ahahah

I’m a sucker for alternate realities in stories, the What ifs are always so intresting to me. Also, Vi is dead, is Jayce also dead in this universe? I didn’t catch any hints he is if they showed them.

I’d love to play in that reality a bit more tbh, I might read some fics in it if I find them. Like what’s Cait doing? Is Viktor dead? How did Zaun get to be almost as rich as Piltover just by having Vi be dead? It’s fun!

general thoughts are: wished they’d stayed with the relatively smaller scale of season 1, focused on piltover-Zaun, on Vi-Jinx, on Caitlyn dealing with that shit, made Ambessa stay a secondary villain character, have Mel stay a normal motherfucker dealing with just so much shit, explored the undercity unrest more, Viktor and Jayce could have still had their big confrontation in the last ep cause it worked so well imo!

I am glad I enjoyed the last act a bit more than the second, it means when I do my rewatch I will probably be more optimistic about the stuff that bothered me.

Anyway fascist Cait deserved more screen time committing atrocities RIP to a queen.

ok so im reading wolverine volume 2 to try to get some context for whatever the fucks going on in uncanny. at somepoint, sabretooth starts hunting wolverine more frequently, saying hes his father(which turns out not to be true, dont worry lol). hes been given this belief and nobody can figure out why.

after being given hallucinogenic poison, sabretooth starts to break free from the need to kill and logan starts to remember something…

at first i thought he was trying to say ‘papa’ or something, but then its revealed he was trying to say ‘partner’(uglyyyyyy panel omg)

im not sure if logan remembers them being partners at this point, but he definitely does later. but the thorazine? not ever brought up again(as far as i saw, maybe it is. its hard to find what comics come next in canon since its not contained in a single series, theyre all over the place).

anyway, he then gets xavier and jean to look into his brain, and he finds some memories that dont make sense. (shout out to this bit where creed straight up wants to take him out for a bday date)

logan then goes to the facility in weapon x where the memories were fabricated. in the animated series sabretooth goes too, but i guess he wouldnt need to in the comics since its implied he already has. i think sabretooth found out about it somehow, got captured, and given the new memory of being logans father. this makes sense since after the hallucination thing sobering him up, he drops that belief.

my theory though is that sabretooth got a lot more fucked up by weapon x than logan. i mean, im pretty sure the false memories were all given after they worked together, and they dont seem to have any other reason(outside of using trauma to activate their need to kill) than to make them all want to suddenly turn against eachother. and i think sabretooth specifically was a failsave for if logan ever escaped, to go seek out and kill him.

both big memories(the one with them being partners in suits and the one where silverfox was killed) were based around logans birthday. so thats probably the reason behind sabretooth seeking him out on his birthday every year, being mixed with the ingrained need to kill him, just based on the little amounts of context he has. BUT the reason for him angering logan? for bringing out the animal? for constantly bringing up silverfox? hes trying to get logan to remember. hes trying to help break him from the memory blocks.

and hes trying to break free from his own programming. and its clear that at somepoint, he did. and he just wants logan to be free from it too.

the memory blocks are tied to logans animal side, but even later on when his animal side is finally released by sabretooth, it didnt really do anything for his memory. because at that point logan already remembers, while sabretooth is still under control of it. though, it is mentioned that something in sabretooths brain is unlocked from wolverine stabbing a claw through it? like he became more in control. that his need to kill is now his own choice. so maybe at that point he was just trying to get him to do that(also it kinda sucks that the canon gets passed around to different authors who will just ignore or get rid of established lore, so none of it really sticks for very long and the characters motives keep changing).

its weird though how logan remembers, yet still keeps trying to fight him. he knows its all fake, but still keeps the same opinion….basically sabretooths stuck with a partner whos forced by the narrative to never like him no matter what he does, while being equally doomed by the narrative to never be able to change. no matter how many times they break the spell, as long as the plot keeps going, theyll always be reset to their basic character traits. #peak romantic tragedy.

So basically the idea for these dudes came up bc mcr and a huge fascination w bands and music as a whole really started to take over my brain over the course of this year [also i mean everyone's thought abt forming a band at least once right? Im living vicariously thru these geeks]. Being enamoured w mcr's utter lameness and the general urge to want to front a band myself [highly unlikely that that'll ever happen but i can dream] i started futzing w the idea of a fictional band of like. Complete losers if u get what i mean [i am in no way projecting in the slightest GSKDHDJ]

Generally speaking when i come up w ocs it takes some time for me to make designs and round out personalities but w these guys it was almost fuckin instantaneous, they sorta took on a life of their own yknow?

Anyway so i dont have like much of an actual plot yet but the general idea is that magdalene [bassist + backup vocals], e.s [rhythm guitarist] and lorelei [pianist when needed] got insanely high together and joked abt forming a band [well. Mags and lorelei did. E.S has a medical condition wherein there is a complete lack of humour in their body] and Lorelei took it as a challenge and went and found them a drummer and a lead guitarist/singer [romeo and harbor respectively]. They all have like. Extremely different tastes in music [romeo's never even listened to anything out of the top 40 before] so a LOT of time is spent fucking around and doing "covers" and shit. [They do figure out p quickly tnat Harbor's got a p versatile singing voice tho]. I like to joke abt them being mediocre but honestly i think that once they like. Figure their shit out [which takes a long long long time] theyre p fucking awesome.

When i make ocs i like. Want them to be as complex and human as possible yknow? So these guys all like. Have their own shit that they have to work thru while balancing their regular lives and the band life [well. "Life."] Ask any of my homies and theyll tell u that my favorite thing outside of character design and storytelling is that i LOVE the psychology of making a complex and realistic character [u should see what i did to wolverine]. Generally like. Music to me is an emotional thing yknow? And i want to reflect that w these idiots
