So. What is the deal with Toontown because for a long time I honestly thought this was an Officially Sanctioned Disney MMO until someone offhand called Corporate Clash a fanmade expansion. And then another friend said there were actually two fanmade expansions to what was once an (assumedly now defunct in its original state) official Disney MMO

YEAH BASICALLY! So Disney abandoned their MMO and a couple offshoots ran by fans has continued it! Toontown Rewritten, Toontown Online and the one im super into, Toontown Corporate Clash!

For Clash (not sure about the others) they removed everything 'Disney' about em (ie mickey n friends, the names of places being named after ddisney characters) and added their own lore, own plot, own characters- all based off the OG concept that silly toony cartoons are fighting big greedy evil corporate robo guys. All good fun!

(And exTREMELY impressive given theyre all ran by volunteer fans)
