Mini steps towards being independent:
I know. I know the frustration of not being in charge of your life. Especially when you are financially dependent and for some under 20s. Everyone treats you like a child but expects you to be an adult.
Then we have the group who go on insisting they are adults and capable of taking life decisions but for the love of God can't change their bedsheet responsibly.
Thus, I have come up with some mini tricks that will make you feel just a tiny bit independent:
Anytime anywhere list
1) Learn how to cook.
2) Take responsibility for household chores such as washing clothes, utensils,etc.
3) Do groceries shopping.
4) Keep track of the essentials required at home and make sure to stock them up.
5) Change the bedsheets weekly.
6) Clean your cupboards timely.
7) Plan a trip with your friends and take care of the execution part.
8) Decide what to make for lunch, dinner or breakfast and execute it solely (right from buying the food required to cooking it).
9) Check on your younger siblings studies. Take an update of their life or keep your room organized and clean.
10) Grow plants.
Planned execution list
Live alone. Try to get out of your parental home and start a new life in another city.
Get an internship/job.
Manage your finances on a budget and save money at the same time.
Take major life decisions such as your career field, whom to be friends with, etc solely on your own judgement.
Learn to navigate difficult social situations with ease.
Adopt a pet.
Develop your own ethical system.
Curate your discipline.
Identify your non-negotiable in different aspects of life.
Learn to speak up for yourself.

๐ Don't feel shy, guilty, bad, scared to ask for help. Remember help will be given to those who'll ask for it.
๐ Use silk pillowcase. It is going to be so benefitting for your skin and hair. They'll thank you!
๐ Read newspaper/news headlines. Be aware about what's happening in the world.
๐ Being financially independent is a necessity. You don't want to feel guilty for every purchase, do you?

i dont think people quite understand the importance of having a good morning routine. how we spend our morning sets the tone for the day and its a very important, peaceful, underrated & overlooked part of life i think we should appreciate more !! โก

helps to manage work & schedules

...anddd much much more. i love love love mornings so maybe i'm a liittle biased but they're so overhated & have so many positive benefits we should def make use of! โก
๐งธ๐ เฃชห 1. gratitude
idk if its just me but waking up early and prioritising my mornings makes me a lot a lot more grateful for everything i have in my life. appreciate just how lucky we are to be able to even have a bed to wake up in in the morning. be so grateful for being able to see the sunlight through your window and being able to see another day. its a luxury, privilege and blessing to be alive.
๐งธ๐ เฃชห 2. dress up!
getting ready is always my FAVOURITE part of the morning. "but im not going anywhere" "im just going to school" "theres no point" no. idc. why do you have to have a reason? why cant you just do it for yourself? when i look cute i feel cute & when i feel cute i feel good. dress up do ur hair do ur makeup (if u wear it) ! look good -> feel good. ๐

๐งธ๐ เฃชห 3. time management
set the perfect time for you. that revolves around the time it takes you to get ready, to travel to your destination, etc. and set that back by 30 minutes. so for example say said time would be 7am -> you'd then change that to 6:30. that way youve got the extra time to just focus on yourself and sort out your day, choose what youre wearing, eat a lovely breakfast, drink something yummy, exercise, pilates, tidy up, etc. โก
๐งธ๐ เฃชห 4. romanticism & enjoyment
id say this goes hand in hand with time management but make it so that you aren't rushing and stressing in the morning. enjoying the little things makes life as a whole so much more enjoyable. mornings often set the tone for the day, so if you have a calm and gentle morning, youre more likely to have a good day! โก
๐งธ๐ เฃชห 5. clear mind
the third sibling of time management & romanticism is definitely being able to go into the day with a clear head. dumping down all your emotions in a journal, in your notes, whatever you use & having your day clearly planned out is a massive motivator for me. i use notion since im more of a visual learner and enjoy having things laid out pretty and neat in front of me but it can be anything you like! (notes, paper, journal, etc.) this ensures you go into the day without a ton of thoughts and worries weighing on your head already before you even start.
so maybe im a little biased because i really love mornings but think about it. feeling the sun through your window in the early dawn, watching it rise and listening to the birds, having some downtime to clear your mind and just be free for a little while before chaos of life begins again. i love you and wish you the best in all you do today ๐ซถ๐ฉท๐

1. Be kind to everyone! If you wanna start with confidence and mental health, I recommend being mindful of your surroundings and be considerate of others feelings. I recommend this a lot because people will start looking up to you and your kindness personality that's likely borrowed from an angel. โก
2. Set boundaries! Yes, be nice to everyone but being nice to everyone doesn't mean you have to let other people treat you like nothing! If someone disrespects you, I recommend cutting them off because those people will never help you get anywhere but only bring you down to their level. โก
3. Stay organized! Having an organized bedroom, backpack, closet and basically anywhere you roam around is such a nice feeling! Clean environment = Happy environment! Deep clean your room and throw out everything you don't need or don't use anymore and start fresh! โก
4. Make a journal, write anything you want in it such as your planned occasions, routines, make it your daily diary and basically anything you want! โก
5. Have an organized sleeping schedule and don't always stay up so late! It can be both physically and mentally tiring for you and stress is not for girls like you! You deserve some proper rest. โก
6. Don't stress yourself, over academics, selfcare, confidence, or anything! Remember, we have to take baby steps before we get to the big ones. โก
7. Listen to some calming music and try to detach yourself from social media to get a relief and a sign of relaxation and freedom from social media attachment!
8. Read books, draw, do anything productive that can help you become happy! Don't spend your day laying on your bed, I promise that won't get you nowhere. โก

โ๏ธ The secret to be the luckiest person in the room is to always think in your favour, no matter the circumstance is.
โ๏ธ A daily routine actually makes your day easier. But the key is to have one which resonates with you.
โ๏ธ Stop blindly following routines you see on the internet; they don't even resonate with you. Ex: Maybe you're not a gym person, but you're half heartedly going to the gym just bc of xyz routine. Instead, try to find what you actually like, such as yoga or exercises.
โ๏ธ Never apologize for things which gives you joy and is literally hurting nobody. Trust me honey you don't wanna be 70 and live your life regretting things you could have loved and enjoyed but didn't. So go stream your โnot so coolโ artist and enjoy that โboringโ hobby.
โ๏ธ The happiness you're searching outside is within you. You will never โarriveโ to happiness, it's in the small things you do.
โ๏ธ Music or the songs you listen to can actually affect how you feel all day ! When I started listening to songs with affirmations, I found myself humming those songs again and again. Similarly, when I listened to sad songs I found the same thing. Your subconscious believes what it's hearing, so be mindful of the music you listen to.
โ๏ธ Honey, you're punishing your body if you're only using water and soap/body wash while bathing. Your body deserves to be properly cleaned and these aren't enough to remove the dead skin cells. All you need to do is use an exfoliating tool such as a washcloth, body sponge, loofah, etc. If you don't have access to these right now, then even a simple cotton napkin will work.
โ๏ธ If you're religious and want to have stronger connection with God then the best way you can do it is by reading your religious scriptures. Whether it's the Gita, Bible or Quran, it will provide you with more knowledge than anyone else can.
โ๏ธ โThe fears we don't face become our limitsโ I spent a whole minute reading this quote again and again. One of the most moving quotes I've came across for sure. (I can make a whole post with all my fav quotes too!)
โ๏ธ โNature is women's best friend.โ Take some time out of your day to spend time in nature. Feeling anxious? Take a walk in the garden. Feeling like the world is cruel and everyone is against you? Go hug a tree. Trust me sweetheart, nature has the solutions to all your problems.

โข feeling guilty about being given things you supposedly "dont deserve", like lots of love or gifts or whatever it may be, comes from a lack mindset.
โข that is where you feel there is not enough of these things like love, gifts, money, etc. to go around. you think of the world as though there is always "not enough" and feel the need to push away the blessings you receive for someone or something else, or hold on to every little scrap of everything you find bc you fear you wont find it again.
โข this comes from having a lack of things like love, money, affection, etc. in childhood and continues on as you grow up & get older.
one thing i've noticed is a lot of people actually treat this as a normal thing to push away the things youre given because you think "this is too much" or "i dont deserve this" or anything along those lines.
๐งธ๐ เฃชห "i dont feel worthy of this" if you werent worthy it wouldnt be given to you. everyone and everything comes into your life for a reason, good or bad, and its your job to accept that and learn the lesson that comes from said thing or person. if someone offers you a gift, money, a job offer you've wanted, etc. if you know its safe then take it !!
โโ there are people with less money than you, less talent than you, less potential than you, out living your dreams just because you were too scared to take that opportunity you were given and just go for it. dont look back and think "oh, i should have taken that". dont let yourself have regrets when you know you can avoid them. life is to be lived, not feared.
๐งธ๐ เฃชห "im not sure if i should" the opportunity wouldnt arise if it wasnt 100% certain it would benefit you in someway. obviously if you feel its sketchy or unsafe for whatever reason stay away from it and obviously do not go through with it or take it but if you know its safe and fine but youre still not sure then what are you doing!!! take it!!!
โโ you are refusing the gifts being given for what? worry? worry about what? who are you to doubt the gifts you are being given when you know its safe and you should take it? would you be concerned if someone gave you a gift on your birthday? this is the same thing. every day is your birthday if youve got the right mindset ๐ซถ
๐งธ๐ เฃชห "someone else deserves it more" what. think if you got a present on your birthday and it was something you'd wanted for aaaaages. would you sit there and think "no, someone else deserves this more than me"? if the answer's yes then you need to get your priorities straight ml im sorry. this was given to you for you. why are you doubting the universe- the world????? what???? girl what
โโ ok this can go two ways. if its something someone else genuinely needs because they dont have it and could heavily benefit from like fresh water, a job offer, a housing offer, fresh food, i would give it to them if i already had those resources for myself too because everybody needs those. they're basic necessities to live & thats basic empathy. but if its something you dont need to live but really really want and are being given the chance to obtain then what. are you doing. girl. take it! what is your problem!
๐งธ๐ เฃชห i think if you find yourself saying or thinking these things often, pause for a second and ask yourself why you think this. is it something to do with growing up, the people around you, your financial status.. whatever it may be, it always helps to find the root of the problem. โก
treat yourself to whatever you wish! you deserve it just because you are alive. that is a difficult task in itself. you deserve it just because you want it. you work so hard, so why shouldnt you have the things you want? take that gift, take that money, take that date, take that offer. life is too short to regret what you could have had ๐ซถ๐

realizing your worth/expanding your worth
Not to sound vulnerable or anything, but do not let other people, no matter who they are, they can be a parent, a sibling, a friend or a stranger, do not let ANYONE define what you are worthy of.
insecure people will try to do anything to bring you down. curse you, tell you something you have been getting comments about for a lifetime, or even simply tries to define your worth for you. this is TOXICITY, and its making me wanna throw up at this point. how low can someone be to "define" who you are??
Please my loves, realize that no one has the power over you in this world, only YOU decide your strengths,vulnerabilities and your value. Only you know yourself more than anyone in this world. how do you let outside world define you when no one in this world is fighting for you like you are fighting for yourself? Get this straight, you are trying to keep yourself alive, healthy, beautiful and in harmony and someone who NEVER really understood you or knew you for who you actually are is suddenly putting a definition on your worth? How thoughtful of them.
GUYS, you have the whole UNIVERSE inside of you. WE ALL DO. once you are aware of the fact that you have the whole universe inside your heart and mind, it is a game changer because it is (atleast for me) is truly healing. because the universe is beautiful, it is full of galaxies and stars and beauty scattered everywhere, and I AM the UNIVERSE. i am a divine being i shine my way through every bit of darkness there is. and that is only defined by ME and no one else has the power. How emotionally fulfilling does that sound? Don't let mean b*tches get to you. who are they to humble you? when they are the one insulting themselves with their words and actions it's truly humiliating
instead of crying about that, decide that you are truly worthy, you are worthy of life, and all the beautiful things it has to offer, expand our worth for your sake, because no one else is gonna do it for you, self conceptualize yourself so much to the point that their words mean nothing to you.
