Feeling very "droopy cartoon eyeballs after a character got blown tf up" on this wednesday.
#man.#I already hated Black Friday in commerce for a number of reasons#then Brazil also adopted it#then it started doing off-season Black Fridays which makes no sense#rather than just idk call it a sale#but then november rolls around and it's now Black November! the whole month#we work twice as hard for no extra pay for the whole month. oh and it doesn't stop there!#it actually starts at the end of october as pre-black friday or black friday warmup (depending on where you work)#and this year the chain I work at decided to do POST-BLACK FRIDAY so it lasts until early December#I feel like hot death. and the discounts aren't even good. 20% is not black friday sales level discount. that is kiddy shit#^^^ all of this while also having work done at our place. end of semester in college#and then I'm also navigating being scammed on top of all of this#I'm so so so tired#personal

a prejudice i have: i really dislike people who are like 'oooh i love dogs/cats i want one soo baad' but then they only want a very specific breed and refuse to adopt bc they dont want a mutt or a stray
#im thinking about someone i knew specifically i never argued w her about this bc i was in my peace era but god it drove me mad#ESPECIALLY hate this when its a expensive and hard to care for dog breed. we live in brazil why the fuck do you want a husky#tho i dont care as much when its a more common breed thats easier to find as an adopt.... like a poodle or something#but idk i also hate the idea that pets are just another product for you to buy and costumize

Do South American presidents have a dog?
by geo.facts_
Well, you might’ve never really thought about this, but are the South American presidents dog lovers ? It appears most of them are! Out of the 14 presidents in the continent, 11 presidents have a#dog .
This post shows some of the dogs owned by these politicians.
Argentina’s 🇦🇷 president, Javier Milei , owns four cloned dogs, they are exact genetical copies of his late dog named Conan. Milei has already publicly said that Conan helps him with some decisions of his life, he talks to him through a medium.
Brazil’s 🇧🇷 president, Lula , adopted two dogs named Resistência and Paris. Resistência (Resistance in Portuguese) was actually adopted by his wife when he was arrest€d for allegedly political cr!mes, he was later acquitted and became Brazil’s president.
The Chilean 🇨🇱 president, Boric , owns a dog named brownie that has his own instagram page! The account has more than 450K followers.
Bolivia’s 🇧🇴 president, Arce , owns a dog named Boyacá that was actually a gift from Venezuela’s 🇻🇪 president, Nicolas Maduro. The dog was gifted as a celebration due to both countries good relationships!
The Ecuadorian🇪🇨 president, Noboa ,has multiple dogs and actively talks about animals rights. The French 🇫🇷 president, Macron , owns a dog named Nemo, that is internet famous after a clip of him peeing during a presidential meeting circulated the whole internet. Macron recently adopted two more dogs!
Venezuela’s🇻🇪, Uruguay’s 🇺🇾 and Colombia’s 🇨🇴 Presidents also own dogs!

A few years ago I used to be that annoying "transmasc lesbians don't exist, this shit is harmful and invalidates both transmascs and lesbians" person, and now I'M the transmasc lesbian. Seems like the tables have turned, huh?
I've spent so many months, years, trying so hard to fit into these categories that I saw so many people talk about as if it were the definitive truth, and this shallow and simplistic vision seems to be gaining a lot of attention and traction here in Brazil. Isn't it ironic to free yourself from cisnormativity and heteronormativity and all these binary boxes to find yourself again trying to fit into other boxes and norms that don't actually describe your experience correctly? Because your experience with gender is so chaotic and confusing (as expected of a nonbinary identity, and even more so if you're neurodivergent too) that there's no simple way to describe it. Then when you find out what describes this, people say you can't identify yourself that way because two or more of your identities are "incompatible". I see people treating non-binarity as if it were an exact science, as if it were math, as if it were something simple and logical, as it is precisely the escape from what has been established in our society as the only two possible options, generating countless identities within a gray area outside this black and white vision, so of course it's something complex, abstract and subjective.
EDIT: One of my reasons for thinking this way was that I ignored that the transgender experience and the cisgender experience aren't and will never be equivalent. It's obvious that a cis man can't be a lesbian, but the same doesn't go for transmasc people, and I thought that admitting that was the same as being transphobic, denying the masculinity of transmascs, denying their male identity. I already had a debate on Twitter because people didn't want to admit that trans men and transmasc people in general can suffer misogyny and male chauvinism (as society can still see and treat us as women) because they also saw it as the same as saying transmasc people are women. The identity of trans people is a very complex experience that involves a series of factors that cis people will never experience. We cannot equate the trans experience with the cis experience.
I thought identifying as a butch lesbian was enough to describe my masculinity, but I realized that I felt like it didn't encompass everything I felt, I still felt like something was missing. Preventing and depriving myself of identifying with more explicit masculine identities was actually making me feel bad and dysphoric. So yeah, I've been avoiding identifying with male-aligned identities because I thought that would mean having to stop identifying as a lesbian, and I didn't want that, and I don't really feel like calling myself straight makes any sense.
I have a text in Portuguese talking about my experience as a butch lesbian, and I feel that now it also serves to describe my experience as a nonbinary transmasc (the part where I talk about not identifying with "traditional masculinity", but with a "different type", like "soft masculinity", is directly related to the fact that, in addition to being nonbinary, I don't identify as a man, I don't feel comfortable with the term "man", but rather with "boy"). I spent a few months wondering whether I was libramasculine or boyflux, and I ended up deciding that if I can't identify which one I am, maybe it makes more sense to just adopt both identities, maybe I am both then! I'm tired of trying to fit into supposed rules about being nonbinary. This is exactly how non-binarity shouldn't be. I'm supposed to feel free, not trapped again. My identity is my identity and that's nobody's business.

What it means - Lewis Hamilton
warnings: bits of angst with the w15 but it's fluff through and through.
wordcount: +1k
a/n: the special for Lewis's laps on Senna's mp4 (there was not a single dry eye in that circuit, I guarantee)
As always, I'm open for feedback, come say hi!
______________________________________________________________
The silence in our hotel room felt almost too loud, stretching on as I took off my shoes and let them fall by the door.
The day had been relentless and long, one of those that felt like a whole month.
I hadn’t known my shoulders could hold this much tension, hadn’t realized how every part of me was vibrating with something raw I couldn’t quite pint point yet.
I moved toward the window, looking out at the fading glow of São Paulo’s skyline, the bustling city alive with lights and sounds, so starkly at odds with the quiet turmoil I felt inside.
I could still hear the crowd’s cheers and chants from earlier, though they were little comfort.
This was Brasil, my home, and the Brasilian Grand Prix meant so much. For Lewis, for me, for all of us.
And it hadn’t gone anything like we’d hoped it could.
I barely registered Lewis sitting down on the edge of the bed, watching me carefully. His eyes, always gentle and observant, held that steady patience I’d come to rely on, though I couldn’t bring myself to look at him yet.
I just stayed by the window, the glow of the city casting a soft reflection back at me.
“So” he said finally, breaking the silence, his voice calm and measured. “What exactly are we sulking about?”
I closed my eyes, resting my head against the cool glass. “I’m just… frustrated” I managed, barely louder than a whisper. “I know it sounds bratty but I don’t even know where to start.”
He didn’t say anything, waiting for me to go on, that same unshakeable patience steady as a rock.
Turning back to him, I took a deep breath, my voice a bit shaky as I spoke.
“It’s the race. It’s the Brazilian Grand Prix. Your car was awful, and it didn’t have to be that way. You were out there fighting just to keep it on track, barely able to grip the corners, the rear end sliding all over the place like it’s trying to spin you out. It felt… reckless.”
I heard the edge in my voice, sharper than I’d meant it to be, but the frustration was bubbling up faster than I could control it.
“And you’ve got people here who love you. Gosh, so many people who are rooting for you—not even just because of who you are, but because of who you represent for them. And then today—” I bit my lip, trying to keep my emotions in check, “it was like all of that, was …”
Lewis sat quietly, his hands folded, listening as I poured out words I hadn’t even fully processed myself. I let out a heavy breath, my heart pounding.
“And then there’s my family,” I continued, my voice a bit steadier now. “They came here to watch you, to be a part of this. And they love you and they see what you mean to Brazil, to me. It’s just…” I trailed off, unable to find the right words.
“It sucks” I admitted finally. “It fucking sucks”
He nodded, a small, understanding smile softening his expression. “It was awful out there. I felt every bit of it, just like you did.”
The rawness in his tone made my chest tighten, the disappointment so clearly mirrored in his voice. “But” he continued “I also got something I’ll carry with me forever.”
I swallowed, remembering him climb into that Maclaren MP4, the way he’d paused just before getting in, like he was soaking in the magnitude of it.
The entire crowd had gone silent, breath held collectively as Lewis, their adopted son of sorts, took his place in that piece of Brazilian history.
A pin could’ve been heard in that circuit as he drove around Interlagos. On a rainy Sunday, just like Ayrton had done so many times.
“I dreamed of watching something like that live for so long. But I could’ve never hoped to be the one to drive that car around here” he murmured, his voice rough with emotion. “Since I was five, since I first saw Ayrton race on TV. He was my absolute hero, and I didn’t know much about the world back then, didn’t know what I could be, but seeing him… it made me believe. And today …” He shook his head, his eyes shining. “it felt like I’d come full circle. Like that little kid who once dreamed had finally made it.”
I found myself moving toward him, the sting of tears burning at the back of my eyes as I sat down beside him. He took my hand in his, his thumb brushing over my knuckles as he went on.
“You looked… I could see how much it meant to you.” I whispered as I watched the way his face softened at the memory.
“Standing there, with that car, in front of all those people who’ve opened their hearts to me… It was a homecoming in every way.” he said, his eyes shining with a quiet pride.
“It took me a while to understand, you know. For the longest time, I thought the respect came from the trophies, the podiums, the points. But it has always been about Ayrton, about the fact that I’ve always looked up to him, just like you guys do. I think…” he hesitated, glancing up at me as he tried to find the words. “I think it’s about the way I see him like you guys do, not just a f1 driver, but as a symbol of what I could aspire to be.”
I bit my lip, feeling the burn of tears prickling at the back of my eyes. It had been easy to get wrapped up in the frustration of the day, to dwell on the setbacks, the disappointments, the what-ifs. But hearing him talk like this, seeing the reverence and gratitude in his expression, it got me out of my head.
“Yeah” I whispered, barely able to keep my voice steady. “I saw my parents watching you. They had that same look in their eyes as everyone else in the crowd. They were in awe. Not of what you’ve done, but who you are.”
“And it’s not just any country, is it?” he responded, his voice dropping to a murmur. “It’s Brazil. Your country, my country now too, because of them and because of you.”
His fingers brushed gently against my cheek, wiping the tear away. “And I know how much you wanted today to go differently” he said, his voice warm, reassuring. “But this it’s bigger than any one race.”
I leaned into his touch, feeling the familiar steadiness of his presence seep into me. “I’m sorry,” I murmured. “I let my emotions get the better of me.”
“You care. That’s all it is. And you’ve got every right to feel frustrated.” he replied softly, his arm slipping around my waist.
I closed my eyes, letting his words settle. His warmth relaxing against the jagged edges of disappointment still clinging to me. And I finally let myself relax, my pulse steadying under his touch.
“You know,” he murmured after a pause, “driving Ayrton’s car… that was my way of saying ‘thank you.’ too. To him and to everyone who’s supported me here, even when it hasn’t been easy. It was my way of showing that I haven’t forgotten that little kid back from Stevenage”
I nestled into his embrace, feeling the ache of the day slowly ease away, replaced by a calm I hadn’t realized I needed.
“I’ll carry today with me forever.” he almost whispered, his voice like melody in the quietness.
I let out a chuckle, one that was more relief than joy. “You don’t have to convince me of that. Nor anyone, really. We all saw it.”
I looked up at him, seeing the gentle warmth in his eyes, the quiet strength that had always drawn me to him. “I’m proud of you” I whispered, my voice catching. “For everything. For honoring Ayrton, for the way you’ve embraced Brazil, for everything you’ve done, and mostly for everything you are.”
I reached up, covering the side of his jaw with my hand as I let out a shaky breath, absorbing everything. His eyes softened, and he took a deep breath, as if gathering his thoughts, preparing to let me further into this part of his heart.
“When I first slid into that car…” he began, his voice hushed and raw “It hit me, just how much this place has shaped me. I mean, I’m not really from here, but every time I race here, every time I see this place, it’s like … I belong.”
He paused, grabbing my hand before looking out toward the window, the city’s lights casting faint reflections in his eyes. “Like… they see something in me that I’d almost forgotten was there. That part of me that’s still that little boy only watching a race, the part that was told ‘no’ so many times, but kept going anyway.”
Lewis seemed to sense the shift in my mood, and a subtle smile tugged at his lips. “And” he began, a playful glint brightening his tired eyes, “I got to make a few couple of grown men tear up a little out there.”
I let out a surprised laugh, feeling some of the tension ease out of my shoulders. “You mean you didn’t join them?”
He grinned, shaking his head. “Nah, kept my cool. Just don’t ask Viviane to confirm that.”
I raised an eyebrow, feigning disbelief. “Right, Mr. too tough to get emotional.”
He chuckled softly, then leaned back, looking thoughtful again. “Honestly, though… driving that MP4 today? It was like stepping into a different world. That car was something else. Made me think, maybe we’re doing things wrong with all these tech-heavy cars nowadays.”
I smiled, glad to see him loosening up. “So, is that 90’s McLaren better than your Mercedes?”
“Yeah” he replied without hesitation, a mischievous glint in his eye. “That McLaren, it has a soul, like it wanted to race just as much as I did. The W15 has a temper and it’s always trying its hardest to throw me off track”
I laughed, feeling the weight of the day slipping further away. “Guess we could try and convince them to swap your car for a classic.”
Lewis squeezed my hand, grinning as he met my gaze. “Only if you promise to be there to cheer me on, every single lap.”
"Always" I smiled as I took a deep breath, letting the emotions settle like dust after a long day.
“He would have been proud of you.” I whispered squeezing his finger back, my voice barely a breath. “For everything you are, for everything you stand for.”
He closed his eyes but the emotion was clear in his voice “Then I guess all I can do is keep showing up” he murmured “for him and for all of us.”

Ok so...
Twice now i’ve seen people approach @elsa-fogen about a take that is “Alastor is in hell because of Voodoo” (the latest one basically saying he is in hell solemnly because of Voodoo”) and I can’t help but feel there’s reeks of religious intolerance from his take (even if it’s not intentional) cause let’s not forget, Voodoo is a religion (main one in places such as Haiti and Gana), and it’s often stigmatised and viewed through the wrong light. So you all can understand how a take like this could rub someone the wrong way and be deemed as religious intolerance.
But as I know this fandom is PAINFULLY stubborn and probably will want to keep exploring this take even if it makes some people uncomfortable (take the people who refuse to acknowledge Alastor as aro and the people who refuse to stop calling Alastor a wendigo for instance) I would like to offer an alternative take:
See, I’m not from Voodoo and it’s not that big of a religion here in Brazil, however, we do have two other religions here that are similar/derivatives from Voodoo (Candomblé and Umbanda) and face similar prejudices, so I’m making this based mostly on these two but know that it also applies to Voodoo.
In Umbanda, we have a higher god, the Orixás (entities that provide guidance and protection) and we have spirits, these spirits divide in different groups and offer advices and guidance to all types of people, there are spirits that look after women, children, grieving parents and even the lost (such as drug addicts).
But as we have good spirits, we also have bad ones. they are popularly known as “espiritos de porco” (pig spirits) who are usually mischievous and even ill intended spirits that might loom over you if they feel a bad energy coming from you or if you are spiritually unprotected and they will start to cause you misfortune and even make you feel weak and sick.
Some ill-intended people use these bad spirits against people they want to harm, the bad spirits may guide them in performing a ritual or maybe the spirit will loom on this targeted person.
It’s (partly) due to people like this that these religions have such bad reputation, but these people basically perform their religion in a corrupted way! Umbanda is a religion that connects you with nature and guides you spiritually, it’s deeply connected with healing practises (mentally, physically and spiritually), but as I said, like EVERY other religion, it can be corrupted and used to harm.
I think the best use of “corrupt vs proper use of religion” I’ve seen comes from Disney's The Princess and the Frog. People usually remember Dr Facilier better, who used Voodoo against his enemies and to harvest power (much like a certain deer man we all know and love) but we also had Mama Odie (which is a real figure in voodoo, mind you. Also present in Umbanda, a Mama Odie is sort of a priestess of the religion) notice how she is a much more accurate representation of the religion, she lives in contact with nature, she performs her rituals and prayers in the wide while dancing with a very positive energy around, and she wears white (which is the most recommended colour to wear during rituals, as it’s a neutral colour and pleases all Orixás).
So as you can see, there’s good voodoo practicants and bad ones, and in the end it’s all about how you use your religion, if you use it as you were taught, with pure intentions, seeking guidance and protection of good spirits and Orixás, or in a corrupt way, surrounding yourself with bad spirits and helping them spread their bad energy.
So what I am hoping with all this is is that people put a stop to “Alastor is evil because he uses Voodoo” and adopt the “Alastor is evil because he does malpractice of Voodoo” which is a much more accurate to reality and respectful take.
I’d even like to offer a headcanon of my own:
That Alastor's mom was from Voodoo (maybe even was a Mama Odie herself) and taught Alastor all she knew and he corrupted her teachings and started using them for evil (perhaps even to aid him in his killing) and THAT, that corruption, was what sent him to hell, and true redemption for him would not to give up his powers/forsake his religion but actually to go back to his roots and use his powers for good (perhaps in a way that he ends up healing/saving someone (hopefully Charlie or Rosie)👀
#tw religious intolerance#religious intolerance#voodoo#umbanda#candomblé#alastor#alastor hazbin hotel#hazbin hotel#<- please don't be extremely stubborn about this take#I'm BEGGING you#the princess and the frog#mama odie#dr facilier

ᝰ. My mom is a country singer — not much known — in Texas, so I’ve grew up loving music, and I’ve been writing songs since I was 15, but these never turned into real songs, until 2019-2020, when I recorded my EP’s.
ᝰ. My first EP is called “Minor” and it has 7 songs. I released it in 2019 just for fun, was some songs that I’ve been writing during the years. In 2020 I released more 2 EPs, called “Bittersweet” and “Good Riddance”, with 7 and 10 songs respectively, again, just for fun.
ᝰ. Now, my new coming up project on music is my first Album, called “The Secret Of Us”, it has 13 songs (+ 7 from deluxe) and all of them will have a music video, cause my objective is making a visual album.
ᝰ. With my new album, I intend to go on my first tour.
Fun facts about me:
ᝰ. I know ballet and gymnastics cause when my sister was 8 years old she wanted to learn but was scared to do it alone, so I used to go to classes with her.
ᝰ. I have 3 siblings, Will, Kayla and Austin. Will is 2 years older than me, Kayla is younger than me 4 years and Austin is 8 years younger than me. (Another fun fact is that Austin is adopted).
ᝰ. My s/o is Drew Starkey, I met him in a party at Maddie Cline’s house (2021). Also, Madelyn is my best friend and I’m very close to the cast of the outer banks too.
ᝰ. I’m in fact brazilian. I was born there but my family moved to the US when I was 8 — my father is brazilian but my mom is from us, she was in a trip when met my dad in brazil and blablabla — so I have dual nationality. (latinas are better lol). But when I was 14, I moved again to Brazil and lived there for almost 2 years with my aunt before I came back to US.
ᝰ. When I was 16, I made a YouTube channel with my brother Will and we used to talk about the most random things ever (btw it was a flop lol, this channel just came up when we became famous). (another fun fact is that he is also a well known actor, but more on theater plays than on screen).
ᝰ. When I was in high school, I was planning on going to med school — mostly because of my dad, he’s a doctor (my obsession with greys anatomy might got me inclined to that too🤭) — but then I fell in love with acting (when I was 16, like i said) and never quit. Besides that, I’m still very interested with things related to science and human body, stuff like that; most of things that I know are bc of my dad tho.
ᝰ. I’m polyglot. I speak Portuguese, English, Italian, Spanish and a bit of French and Latin. I also know ASL.
ᝰ. I still don’t know how to ride bikes without training wheels cause no one ever taught me (😭).
ᝰ. I love the sea, beaches, everything related to that, it’s one of my favorite places in the world.

What if the Humans adopt a child just to see what’s so special about humans and why the Cullens like them so much, not knowing how troublesome a 8 year old can be?
𝖁𝖔𝖑𝖙𝖚𝖗𝖎
strap in because this is going to be one hell of a ride (also I'm assuming asker meant volturi adopt a chaotic human child)
Aro, ever the curious one, cannot even fathom why dear Carlisle cares so much for these... creatures
And it's been like over 3000 years since he was human and he can't really remember much about living
It would also help if it would stop making Marcus be such a miserable slab of stone, and perhaps even Caius could do with a new toy
It just seemed like destiny when an 8 year old child strayed from the feeding group one day, too entertained by chasing a fat tabby cat that had jumped the wall to the garden
Whatever parent or guardian that came with seemingly hadn't noticed - not that they were alive long enough too
And, of course, Felix was the one to deliver the child to Master Aro considering he's the only one with a modium of decorum or respect for life in the castle
Any of the other guards would have eaten you on sight to be honest (they wouldn't in the future but you're just some random human child right now, they don't care about you yet)
Aro takes one look at you're little form, sticky fingers; muddy knees; grazed elbows; a leaf in your hair
Perfect
They're keeping you
easy, right?
wrong
Why is a overexcited yet hysterical human child such a lovable inconvenience, you may ask
well
1) none of them can fully keep track of you're emotions, why are children so confusing???
2) they can't fully keep track of your whereabout either
"HOW ON EARTH DID YOU GET OF THE ROOF YOU HEATHEN CHILD" - Caius probably
3) they know nothing, and I mean nothing, about humans. Expect them to ask the secratery for help next time you're sobbing, only to find out you're hungry because they haven't fed you a proper meal in days thinking you'd forage for it yourself
I swear Marcus is the only one who is knowledgeable, despite how small it is
"the child requires sustinence again" - Jane, fed up of this shit
4) they're used to the traumatic stuff of vampire life, you are not, they don't realise that
poor kid is gonna be so traumatised, by the age of 10 killing someone over cereal seems socially acceptable
At least Caius actually has a soft spot for you, otherwise you'd be dead dead by now
Marcus reads you bedtime stories
Aro wants you to grow up appreciating everything he does, there are many 'daddy/daughter dates' where he takes you to see plays, musicals, concerts, or whatever that he deems suitable
Caius pretends to be impressed with your drawings and fakes excitement at whatever lego monstrosity you've made
Alec shows you the world, taking you around on his days off to Scotland, Brazil, India or wherever you randomly point to on a map
Felix let's you use his cloak as a blanket when he's not using it, you like to play with it and use it for dens and pillow forts (it can also be used as one of those massive fabric parachute tent bubble thingys the class played with in nursery/FS1/kindergarten and hid under (you know what I'm talking about))
Demitri let's you win at hide and seek despite his gift letting him know where you are at all times. He is also not above pretending to play to keep you out the way and quiet for a solid five minutes before you come out giggling saying you won again
Jane will capture butterflies and set them free with you because she knows you love them and you also love to chase them
The queen's are always dressing you up like a doll and doing your hair, they basically get a list from the secratery of everything humans need (food, water, socialising etc) and fulfil those needs for you
The secratery is the only one who actually knows what you want and need most times, being human herself. The kings are seriously considering turning her instead of just killing her you your sake
And God forbid anyone touches their precious baby, you've grown on them and they'd burn the world for you in an instant

Heya girl, greetings from Colombia, I'm very curious about what the Bay Turtles would do when they meet their s/o's parents and they are two men, something like their s/o is adopted.
Hello Colombia, greetings from Brazil! I hope you like it! ♡♡♡♡
Leo would approach the situation with respect and diplomacy, just like he does with everything
He’s the type to do his homework ahead of time
So he’d ask you about your family dynamic, wanting to make sure he knows how best to show respect to both of your dads
When he meets them, he’s calm and collected
He’ll shake their hands and thank them for raising such a strong and kind person like you
Leo’s all about showing respect to family
So he’ll be polite, courteous, and maybe a little formal at first
Internally, though, he might be a little nervous because he knows how important this meeting is for you
He wants to make a good impression and show your dads that he’s a reliable partner
He’ll even talk about the ways he looks out for you, subtly trying to assure them that you’re in good hands
They don't need to know how good Leo really is with his hands...
By the end of the meeting, Leo would have earned their respect
And he’d feel a sense of relief, knowing that they approve of your relationship.
Raph’s immediate reaction when he finds out you have two dads?
“Cool. Let’s do this.”
He’s not one to get caught up in formalities or worry about it too much
Raph isn’t intimidated by much, but he does want to make sure your dads know he’s serious about you
He might be a little quieter than usual at first, trying to gauge how your dads feel about him
Raph’s not the best with meeting new people, so there’s definitely a little bit of awkwardness
He’s aware of how big he is and how he can come off as intimidating, so he tries to tone down the tough-guy act, at least in front of them
When he talks to them, Raph would be honest, straightforward, and a little protective
If your dads try to poke fun at him or grill him a bit, Raph can take it, and he’ll probably throw a joke right back at them
Once he feels like they’re comfortable with him, Raph relaxes and lets more of his personality show
He’s won them over with his loyalty to you and his straightforward nature
He might not be a “meet the parents” kind of guy, but he’ll leave knowing he did right by you.
Donnie would be a little nervous going into this
Meeting parents is always a big deal, but meeting two dads?
Donnie would definitely feel the pressure
He’ll probably try to bond with them over something intellectual, like science or technology
If either of your dads has any interest in that, Donnie will take the opportunity to dive into a conversation about it, and before long,
He’s geeking out and feeling more comfortable
If they’re not into that, Donnie will shift gears and be as polite and respectful as possible
He wants to make sure they know that he’s totally supportive of your family dynamic and that he respects your dads deeply for raising you
He might also fidget a little, worried he’s saying the wrong thing, but once he realizes they’re cool and accepting of him, he’ll calm down
In the end, Donnie will likely impress them with his smarts and how genuinely he cares about you
Mikey’s all about positivity and love, so when he hears you’ve got two dads, he’s immediately pumped
“Two dads? That’s awesome!”
He sees it as a chance to make twice the impression, and Mikey’s all about winning people over with his charm
When he meets them, Mikey’s full of energy, throwing out compliments and cracking jokes
He’s the kind of guy who’d win over your dads within the first few minutes with his infectious personality
He’s got no problem talking about how much he cares about you and will definitely hype you up in front of them
Mikey would also be super affectionate, not in a clingy way, but just showing that he’s really into you
He’ll say stuff like, “I’m the luckiest turtle in the world to be with your kid,” and your dads will appreciate how genuine he is
By the end of the night, Mikey’s probably convinced them to join in on a game or some fun activity, and they’ll be laughing along with him
Your dads would walk away knowing that Mikey’s got a heart of gold and that he’s going to treat you with all the love and care you deserve

Hi there
I've just read your "Charles dating a greek girl" and I loved so much. I was wondering if I could request a brazilian girl version??
Oi, mana! <3 sure! here you go! (pls put your age in your bio or something that lets ppl know you're +18, I don't interact with minors 😭) <3 I hope you like it! Let me know if you do *beijinhos*
CHARLES DATING A BRAZILIAN GIRL | CL16
Warnings: mentions of food; tooth-rotting fluff; mentions of family members; not proofread.
A/n: Just a quick reminder that there are many shades, experiences, and backgrounds regarding Brazilians and their culture, what I am writing does not resume everything, but rather brings a piece of it to the table. <3
▸ my masterlist | my taglist | patreon guide ▸ support my writing by reblogging, leaving a comment (don’tforget to follow me if you like the piece), or buying me a coffee
Charles is used to friendly people and yummy food, but when you cook for him for the first time and you Facetime your family he’s out of words with how good the energy is;
Obsessed with brigadeiro and pão de queijo, and even more after you talk with his nutritionist and adapt the recipe in a way that he can eat without cheating on his diet;
Charles loves Brazilian music!!! His favorite will most likely be Cazuza, Djavan, or Gilberto Gil (though he will listen to funk and drive the fandom crazy during the Brazilian GP);
Maldivas? Nah, it's just Rio with the music, the altinha games, globo biscuit, and matte tea; He was baffled when you explained to him how big and how many things there were in Brazil so his new personal goal was to vacation there in order to go to each city;
You find it cute and, during the break, you fly so he can meet your country and family. He gets to finally walk around Sao Paulo without the rush of an upcoming race;
He has a relationship of love and hate with the South American weather. The hate gets bigger when he gets a sunburn after not reapplying sunscreen, but it lessens and becomes love when you rub lotion on his back and kiss his skin to "heal faster";
So, I know there are many hair products everywhere, but hear me out on this one! Charles with wavy hair/curls because the thing is, there are dozens of options for people with wavy/curly hair, from shampoo to moisturizers, and he loves to indulge in your self-care routine, so he won't complain when you tell him that maybe -just maybe- his hair is wavy;
Will start treating his hair after that and fans will go batshit crazy with wavyclerc lol;
He'll most likely adopt a viralata caramel during one of your trips to Brazil;
Charles will also try to learn Portuguese in the speed of his Ferrari to talk to your family, but he'll end up with a Portunhol by the due date. It's no biggie though, your family will love him anyways;
Overall obsessed with you and even more with Brazil;

As the Formula 1 season draws to a close, there has been plenty of drama and controversy. But there have been so many wonderful, joyous and hilarious things too. So, on a more positive note, I present some of my 2024 season highlights:
Lewis & Bono winning Silverstone
If you had told me, when I started watching this sport in the mid-90s, that a driver winning a race would have me in tears, I wouldn't have believed you.
I still can't watch clips of that day without getting teary. I mean, who can look at that first photo without hearing "Get in there Lewis!" I am so so glad that after two and a half terrible seasons, Lewis got to have this moment. Not just anywhere, but at Silverstone. What a moment. What a day.
Charles winning Monaco
Again, so many tears. I'm not the world's biggest Charles Leclerc fan (I do like him), but hearing/knowing all of the history and his story, getting into the sport and having such awful luck at this race made this win so very special. Even as a 'neutral', it packed a punch. That radio message? 😭
Lando's 1st F1 win (and that hug)
Lando finally getting that first win was very cool. His reactions were utterly fabulous, not to mention being absolutely swamped by the other drivers coming to congratulate him afterwards. Respect.
Of course, there was really only one driver he I was interested in ❤️
Zhou becoming the 1st Chinese F1 driver to race in China
Special mention for Zhou ❤️
Daniel achieving the fastest lap/lap record at Singapore, in his final F1 lap.
And Driver of the Day. Bittersweet, but a legend. I had to include it.
Think you've seen it all?
Remember in China when the grass next to the track went on fire, causing red flags? Yeah, I didn't see that coming either.
James calling it for all of us
I think this was during the Monaco GP, when doing an interview on the pit wall during a session. Yep James, we're all in the same boat here!
Alpine Double Podium
Brazil you gave us so many things. One of the best was this beautiful end (?) to the French civil war. Look at them ❤️
Oscar's never ending quest for home races
Remember at the start of the season when he claimed ancestry for almost every home race, then ended up getting adopted? Yeah. Love him 😂❤️
Sticker Wars
How was this the start of the season? So long ago! Such a serious sport 😂
Sticker War Sequel - Pass Wars
2019 rookies were back on form with this little gem 😂
Lando & Alex's gran
Remember this?? So cute! I don't have the follow-up to hand, but if I remember correctly Alex got her a signed Lando cap ❤️
Everyone using the interview sofa for a nap
Ollie in charge of social media
Keep the PR training away from this one, he's far too adorable as he is!
Franco Colapinto. The legend.
I've said it before - his sheer enthusiasm for the sport, for the opportunity he has been given has been refreshing and inspiring. It's so obvious that he is so unbelievably grateful and joyful about his F1 experience. I adore him. Protect him at all costs. And also, no PR training either please 😉
Yuki's P3 qualifying in Brazil
They did him dirty here.... 😂
2025 has a lot to live up to.

Daily update post:
The Wall Street Journal is reporting that a message from Yahya Sinwar (the Hamas leader inside Gaza) was passed to Hamas leaders who live outside of it, and the essence of that is not to worry, because Sinwar believes they have Israel exactly where they want it. In other words, when Hamas is estimated by Israel to have at least 12,000 of its terrorists killed, and despite the fact that they could stop the death of Gazans by releasing the Israeli hostages and surrendering, Sinwar doesn't see any issues with where the war is at. I think the most important part is this: "According to the report, Sinwar also told the Hamas officials that the terror group is prepared for Israel’s expected operation in Rafah, the Gaza Strip’s southernmost city, and is relying on the high civilian death toll reported by the Hamas-run health ministry to cause enough global outcry that Israel is forced to withdraw" (my emphasis). At what point do people realize that they are serving the interests of Hamas' mass murderers, kidnappers and rapists?
A few days ago, I wrote about the attempt to allow aid trucks into northern Gaza directly from Israel, instead of bringing it to the south, and waiting for Gaza-based elements to deliver it to the north. This means an escort of Israeli soldiers is accompanying the trucks. This is the route the aid trucks cross:
Today, these aid trucks were stormed by a huge crowd, and according to the IDF, many people died from pushing and trampling (at the link you can see aerial video footage of the stampede), not an unheard of phenomenon when a huge herd of people all rush in at the same time. On top of that, some Gazans were also advancing at the soldiers securing the aid trucks. The soldiers felt undr threat, and they opened fire at those charging at them, but according to their estimate, this accounts for only 10 of the dead. Still, you can count on the anti-Israel crowd to adopt a narrative that, immediately and without investigation, calls this a massacre and blames every single death on Israel, not on Hamas, which started the war that made even aid supply into a dangerous and complicated situation.
Here's a reminder that even in the middle of the war, when no one is paying attention to it, Israel continues to demolish illegal homes built by Jews. But you're never gonna hear about it, not even during more normal times, because it doesn't fit the anti-Israel narrative, so anti-Israel sources will only ever tell you about it, when Israeli demolishes illegal homes built by Arabs.
As threats to British Members of Parliament (MPs) are rising due to threats from the anti-Israel crowd, the UK has allocated bodyguards to some of them, along with 31 million pounds designated for the security of British democracy. If some of the most powerful people in Britain are that scared, what do you think Jews there are going through? Indeed, today we heard that 72 million pounds are meant to help secure Jewish centers and institutions in the UK. The problem is that until the root of the problem will be tackled, this is just taking care of the symptoms, instead of curing the disease.
Israeli security forces have stopped two Palestinian cousins, one 17 years old and the other 29 years old, from carrying out an independent terrorist attack. I refer to such attacks as independent in order to point out that they're not a part of some greater plot, unlike every single terrorist attack on Oct 7, which were all interconnected, and rocket attacks since, which are launched as a part of the war that Hamas started waging against Israel. However, some of these attacks ARE connected to Hamas. Apparently, these two cousins contacted Hamas in Gaza to get help in committing their intended crime.
This is 59 years old Michel Nissenbaum.
He made alyiah on his own from Brazil when he was 13 years old. Friends say that coming to Israel saved him. He worked in hi-tech, as well as a tour guide, and volunteered with Bedouin kids. Here he is with one such group:
On Oct 7, Michel heard that the Re'im IDF base was under attack from Hamas terrorists. Knowing that his granddaughter was there, visiting her dad, Michel decided to go there and get her out. While he was making his way to the base, he stopped responding to messages. His granddaughter was rescued from the place hours later, but Michel himself had disappeared. He's believed to be kidnapped in Gaza, but his family is scared, because he wasn't spotted in any of the pics or vids released by Hamas.

In 1975, civilian nuclear technology was part of a worldwide strategy to bring the Organization of Petroleum-Exporting Countries (OPEC) to heel. That body’s power seemed unprecedented, given that most of its countries were historically impoverished or “backward” peoples. [...]
Many developing countries did adopt nuclear technologies, often with crucial parts of their national infrastructures relying on American and European expertise, equipment, and fuel. Rather than seeing liberation from nature, such countries faced renewed forms of dependence. Iran certainly never gained reliable access to uranium and did not become the economic miracle envisioned by Ansari back in 1975. Instead of lifting up the poorer nations of the world, the global nuclear order seemed structured in ways reminiscent of the colonial era. The most heated debates within the IAEA pitted the nuclear weapons states against the so-called LDCs—less developed countries. The agency never became a storehouse for fission products. Instead, one of its primary functions was to monitor an arms control treaty—the Treaty 4 on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons. By the end of the century, the IAEA was referred to as a “watchdog,” known for its cadre of inspectors. In 2003, IAEA inspections were crucial talking points in public debates about the invasion of Iraq by the United States [...] evidence gathered over the years by the agency created for the peaceful atom was being interpreted by the United States government as justification for military intervention. [...]
Focusing only on arms control glosses over the domestic politics of nuclear programs, particularly the role of high technology as symbols of state power and legitimacy. But it also does not square with what scholars of the Cold War have been pointing out for decades—that governments, especially the United States, deployed science and technology as diplomatic tools, to achieve feats of prestige, to shape business arrangements, to conduct clandestine surveillance, or to bind countries together with technical assistance programs. Poorer countries’ dreams of modernization, of using advanced technology to escape hunger, poverty, and the constraints of nature—these were the stock-in-trade of US diplomacy. Why, then, should we imagine that the promises connected to peaceful uses of atomic energy were any less saturated with geopolitical maneuvers and manipulation? [...]
American officials in the late 1940s and early 1950s were very worried that commercial nuclear power would siphon off supplies of uranium and monazite needed for the weapons arsenal. So they explicitly played down the possibility of electricity generation from atomic energy and instead played up the importance of radioisotopes for medicine and agriculture—because such radioisotopes were byproducts of the US weapons arsenal and did not compete with it. The kinds of technologies promoted in the developing world by the United States, the USSR, and Europeans thus seemed neocolonial, keeping the former colonies as sites of resource extraction—a fact noticed, and resented, by government officials in India, Brazil, and elsewhere. Mutation plant breeding, irradiation for insect control or food sterilization, and radioisotope studies in fertilizer—these were oriented toward food and export commodities and public health, problems indistinguishable from those of the colonial era. These were not the same kinds of technologies embraced by the global North, which focused on electricity generation through nuclear reactors, often as a hedge against the rising political power of petroleum-producing states in the Middle East. By the mid-1960s and 1970s, the United States and Europe did offer nuclear reactors even to some of the most politically volatile nations, as part of an effort to ensure access to oil. Convincing petroleum suppliers of their dire future need for nuclear reactors was part of a strategy to regain geopolitical leverage. Despite the moniker “peaceful atom,” these technologies were often bundled in trade deals with fighter jets, tanks, and other military hardware [...]
By the close of the century, two competing environmental narratives were plainly in use. One was critical of atomic energy, drawing on scientific disputes about the public health effects of radiation, the experience of nuclear accidents such as Three Mile Island (1979) and Chernobyl (1986), or the egregious stories of public health injustice—including negligence in protecting uranium miners or the wanton destruction and contamination of indigenous peoples’ homelands. In contrast was the narrative favored by most governments, depicting nuclear technology in a messianic role, promising not only abundant food, water, and electricity, but also an end to atmospheric pollution and climate change. [...]
As other scholars have noted, the IAEA tried to maintain a reputation of being primarily a technical body, devoid of politics. But it had numerous political uses. For example, it was a forum for intelligence gathering, as routinely noted by American Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) documents. It also outmaneuvered the World Health Organization and Food and Agriculture Organization in the early 1960s and was able to assert an authoritative voice playing down public health dangers from atomic energy. Further, it provided a vehicle for countries to stay engaged in atomic energy affairs even if they did not sign on to the non-proliferation treaty—India, Pakistan, and Israel most notably. It provided apartheid-era South Africa with a means of participating in international affairs when other bodies ousted it because of its blatantly racist policies. By the same token, it gave the Americans and Europeans political cover for continuing to engage with South Africa, an important uranium supplier.

Change from six-day workweek in Brazil is inevitable sooner or later
Discussion on the workweek catches both left and right by surprise, sidestepping the current political polarization in Brazil
The reduction of the workweek has been a long-debated topic and has been implemented in various countries for decades. It has resurfaced in Brazil with the introduction of a constitutional amendment proposal by Congresswoman Erika Hilton, suggesting the shift from a six-day work, one-day rest schedule (6x1) to a four-day work, three-day rest schedule (4x3).
This discussion recalls the legacy of Italian sociologist Domenico De Masi (1938-2013), who published the book “O Ócio Criativo” (“The Creative Idleness”) in Europe in 1995, which was translated into Portuguese a few years later. Mr. De Masi challenged the notion that leisure equates to laziness and unproductivity, instead viewing it as essential for fostering creativity and well-being. He argued that, as in the past, leisure could drive advancements in science, art, technology, and the overall economy.
Mr. De Masi’s book became a global bestseller, considered revolutionary at the end of the 20th century. In Brazil, it also achieved success, leading Mr. De Masi to “adopt” the country, even releasing a subsequent book first in Portuguese.
In early 2013, Brazil was experiencing economic euphoria while Europe and other developed nations faced tough times. During a visit to Brazil, Mr. De Masi expressed his belief that the country would play a significant role in the new lifestyle he advocated, as it was growing, reducing social disparities, and was not embroiled in wars. However, this prediction never materialized.
