rufus shinra drug dealer au btw.

Rufus Shinra attends his father's preparatory high school, Shinra Preparatory Academy. He's expected to attend Princeton University as a legacy student, following in his father's footsteps and enterprising in whatever field he chooses to go into.

But Rufus Shinra doesn't want to follow in his father's footsteps. Although he has no choice, he rebels—he and his friends (the Turks in ff7 canon) start a drug ring within the school & public district, operating right under Rufus' father's nose.

When he gets caught, it goes a lot like the Zirconiade incident: almost all of the "Turks" are expelled or arrested, save for Tseng, Reno, and Rude, who Rufus swore to protect as founding members. Rufus has his son supervised by his friends and has to eat lunch with his father every day, which motivates him to try to uncover his father's own illicit dealings to get his school shut down in revenge.

This all happens in the same universe as the SOLDIER First Mean Girls AU, by the way (Genesis as Regina George, Angeal & Zack as Gretchen & Karen respectively, Cloud as Cady, Sephiroth as Aaron, Reno & Rude as Janis & Damian).

I know I remember asking about how Wednesday Shinra interacts with the Turks. Not to mention how Elena is her personal turk and her brother having a good relationship with Reno. Which that post disappear. Okay, what about something like a silly snippet on how Wednesday Shinra's day? If I'm being honest.... I think Rufus would be too overprotective of his daughter...

It's back now. Not sure if Rufus would be (outright) overprotective since Wednesday wouldn't have it, but I think he'd keep a watchful eye on her, especially since other Shinra Board Executives are quite wary of her and her status as Rufus' heir should anything happen to him. He'd certainly come up with all sorts of contingency plans with The Turks, and then just plans between Tseng and himself to assure his family's safety and dominance within the Shinra sphere.

I think a typical day for Wednesday would begin by sleeping in her quarters, with Elena, Rude and Reno nearby, drawing straws of who's waking up Wednesday for the day. Elena draws the shortest, and the other gets the hell out of dodge.

Thankfully, Wednesday slept well, so she isn't that grouchy. Elena accompanies Wednesday during school, acting as her bodyguard but also her dear friend. This is where the girls encounter a monster/villain of the week where either Elena's tomfooleries get them into trouble or Wednesday's daring attitude xD.

not to be purity police (genuinely) but what’s up with these weird as fuck canon crushes in final fantasy vii? like? and it’s always a damn turk at the scene of the crime.

rude and tifa are a funny joke and it’s a good foil to rude’s pretty stoic demeanour but the longer you think about it… rude’s a thirty-year-old man crushing on a twenty-year-old.

same with tseng and aerith, dude knew her as a god-damn child and not even as a teen (not that it makes it better), aerith was what nine?

elena too, the girl is twenty (at most) and she’s got a crush on tseng.

i swear, cissnei’s the only normal one cause her and zack are only a year apart (plus, i think it’s only implied she’s got a crush on his as opposed to her colleagues)

who would’ve thought the one turk fanonically a ‘sleeze’ ain’t even got a canon crush.

i still find it really funny that square kept rude’s old voice actor around for remake and put him in the same scene as reno no less. of course he’s not playing rude (he’s the grunt protesting + the newscaster) but did y’all notice anyone else? i also read somewhere that a lot of ffxv’s main cast were background voices but i only managed to clock ray chase’s.
