Madam Yu's two handmaid's love and respect her, and Madam Yu actually defends them when Wang Lingjiao tries being a Karen to them. She also tells Wang Lingjiao to fuck off when she demands the Jiang servants bring her tea.

Also, Karens are unpleasant women, but not all unpleasant women are Karens. That term is about entitlement and being unreasonable (and often times, racist). Madam Yu is mean and unpleasant to talk to, but she keeps most of her interactions brief and probably doesn't have the time or mental energy to be a Karen or hold a grudge that long. If you want an actual example of a Karen in mdzs, Wang Lingjiao is right there

I like this angle. Tae seems to be with the group. Also, it reflects the relationships and characters as well. Do making sure to grab Jae's head right away. Ten being on JN's side. Woo posing but without feeling the need to come too close (they already have group photos, this one is for the media than for themselves).

ughhhhh I want to use a red macaw for Margarita but of course a crux of the Master’s meta relationship with her means that he can’t know what particular species she is, isn’t it? It’s a mystery. Unknowable.

Is colour alone enough to say ‘parrot’? Probably. Red macaw colouring but another parroty face, but one that with the macaw colouring doesn’t easily match with other known species??

Does anyone happen to know about parrots? Amazon-native ideally? Medium to large - but again we’re making a fictitious bird of explicitly unknowable species here.

So, if I start reading translations online for chapters, do you think I have to start over from chapter 1, or do you think that knowing changes that were made, I won't lose much if I start from where I last finished in playing in the EN version?

I think EN is mostly the same as JP, but key parts of the experience definitely get left out in EN. It’s fine to just play through the localization if you’re looking to generally understand the story. You don’t need to start from the beginning to follow what’s going on. I suggest reading translations if you have the time for it or just cross referencing them if you sense that something feels “off” in the EN version.

There is no comprehensive compilation of all differences between JP and EN; it would be very difficult to search up and educate yourself on every localization change. However, I encourage you to go out of your way to look into these differences when possible; it’s an interesting study of our cultural differences.

Please also note that there is considerable cut content from episode 5! You’ll need to search up the missing scenes on Youtube for the “full” TWST experience.
