Taang Children Headcanon

Okay, so, I’ve got an idea for Taang babies that’s been floating around in my head.

Lin-The eldest and an Earthbender. The only major difference between her and canon Lin is that she has grey eyes like Aang.

Bumi-The second eldest. Still a lot like canon Bumi, but looks more like Aang and has Toph’s smirk. He also has green eyes, and lightly tanned skin from all the time he spends in the sun. 

Kamala-An OC Taang!baby. She is an Airbender and incredibly excitable, causing untold mischief for everyone around her. She enjoys getting into air-scooter races with her dad and helping Bumi pull pranks on the Air Acolytes and Lin.

Tenzin-Same as in the LoK series because I just sort of like him the way he is. As a Taang!baby, I imagine Toph would tease him about being so uppity and serious.

Mida and Suyin-I actually thought up including Suyin after seeing Season 3 of LoK, but in my Taang universe both she and my new OC Mida are twins. Toph had originally just wanted to stop having children after Tenzin was born but one of the Air Acolytes tampered with her birth-control (in order to help repopulate the Airbenders); needless to say that Acolyte got a serious butt-kicking. As it turned out, both Mida and Suyin were Earthbenders and Mida was born with blindness like Toph. 

Well, those are my Taang babies. I drew a picture of them but I want to color it before I post it.

You know what's really amazing though?

Toph still “sees” Korra as Aang.

Everyone Korra has met from the old Gaang calls her by her name or “Avatar Korra” but not Toph. Korra’s footsteps aren’t like Aangs and I don’t think Toph heard Korra’s voice before this encounter (well at least not her 10 year old and up voice) so how would she recognize Korra? By her spiritual presence.

I feel that Toph and Aang were so close and their spiritual connection is so strong that since Toph can’t “see” who the next Avatar is, she feels Aang’s presence and Aang’s spirit instead.
