Personally, wasn't impressed with Volcano at first (high expectation because of the "Boss" unit, but it has been growing on me ever since). Birthday Party - yes, a total jam.
It is usually noted that the presence of underlaying base and vocal bridges are 127's trademarks, but I think it's hidden noise effects (and adlibs) is what essential. Something that makes one re-discover the same song again and again, because each time the attention will be caught by different sounds on the track, different layers come in front.
Mark is capable of not slouching during performing, he simply forgets to keep looking up front and his posture once he is away from the main camera or the central spot. It's more of a habit than an inability. Ans yes, taking a break definitely helps. The bias becomes "novel" again, so the brain renews attention and appreciation.
Is that reader who guessed that I will like "Music, Dance" on Resonance album still with us? Because I'm still jamming to the masterpiece.
I honestly make an effort to expand my k-pop list of artists, but it is super hard. Even Taemin abandoned me with his latest album.
Gg Purple Kiss will disband this Autumn. And I agree with their fans, their songs are pretty nice. Alas, I regularly complain about scratchy voices and boring songs, but the truth is good music or good vocals don't guarantee success for idol groups or a solo singer. I remember I was waiting for a second album of one nugu group for several years just to be dissapointed with the new material, the agency abandoned their established sound completely. Black6ix disbanded, so I only have one album from them and singles, basically.

If there is a person who looks at the props instead of idols, it's me. I don't check all Wish's performances, but I keep being pleasantly impressed with the stage designs for those I do see. Most of the time it's probably the same company. Their style is kind of refined. Less of an assortment of props from a warehouse and more of made-on-demand. This stage is so balanced and complete, even sand is there.
But why is there a hole on the stage floor carpet? Inkigayo, you are the biggest music show, fix it! Some girl in heels can trip.
Doyoung should plagiarise the bubbles for his concert.
Seems like pre-releases is a new standart now in SM. Wish is coming up with just a mini, and yet they got one.
Wish is around 1,5 years old and already has so many albums, even a full one.
Hmm.. Riize's full album Odyssey sold almost 2 mln. SM weren't wrong in the long run.
What's your thoughts on Seunghan's debut? The song, the image, how it's handled? The dancers?

And that's how you reference your own brand. Watch and learn.

I dig the theme of padded sport wests and jerseys with heart shapes. I guess American footbal is the inspiration for the shape. Creative.

i was the one who asked about jd as a goverment assigned ship! and i just have two follow up thoughts;
1. you’re right i kind of put their show champion stint as part of their rookie era but yes, i meant to include that time where jd was the popular duo. you mentioned that those shippy scripts were the PD-nims / show’s doings. how do we know or tell apart that how jaehyun acted or the things he said (about soulmates and partners etc) aren’t a part of it? or like him playing along with it? i have observed a lot of clips during that period and they’re just so awkwardly cute but it works. it’s not like i need convincing or what, i’m just curious and i want to know what to look for and/or observe.
2. i do think though that sm are trying to have a rotation on which ship to push at a time period lol. and i agree in DJJ era jaewoo was heavily built up. but i just can’t see them as a couple or something. they have chemistry but i feel like they have very similar humor and vibes just opposite in manifesting it? so they can joke around and banter in a shippy way and they’re just both comfortable in doing so. the same with johndo.
First, let me clarify "government assigned ship" to be sure we were on the same page. It is the agency that decides what two members will be a ship to use shipping to capture fans' attention. These two members are shown in a suggestive way (repeated photosets for two, they stand together, their interactions during content are highlighted, sometimes the idols are asked to be cuddly and talk about each other). Usually, the ship exists only at the beginning, to help to propel the newly-debuted group. If the ship becomes really popular, then it becomes acknowledged more openly (but for that the idols need to be on board), the pair continues to get preference when it comes to appearing together, but can start joking about their bromance or being married. Yushion (Shion and Yushi) is a good example of a government ship at the start, MarkHyuk is an example of a cemented one. And, I'd say, JaeRi (Jaehee and Riku) is an example of a self-made ship. Riku pushes it.
1. Body language and situations when something is said and done. Young trainees/actors are not media trained, they don't have experience, they are over exited and nervous, it is hard for them to collect oneself or control one's own actions. In addition, you judge everyone individually. Some young idols are savvy and use fanservice, shipping, fake cuteness to appeal (very easy to see on survival shows), some are not. Jaehyun had a crush, it was obvious. However, you are right to say that ShowChamp alone is not enough to make conclusions. There are several readings to most situations. Additional context, information and facts help to choose the most fitting one. A version that explains everything easyly withouth compromises or omitments.
Feelings make a person act, they direct decisions and words. When Jaehyun (ShowChamp times) put his hand on Doyoung's back to guide him off the stage, he didn't work for the camera, for the viewer's gaze. You can be certain of it because it happened when he thought they were already out of the frame. It wasn't a performative act, he simply liked his hyung enough to want some body contact and want to make sure he stayed by his side and didn't wander away.
In "Weak Hero" an inexpirenced actor's crush bleed so much it influenced the character he played and his choice of adlibs, which made the director decide to run with it and give the initial script a romcom feeling. So much so, that the ship is canon now in the crew and directors' eyes, lols.
As a rule of thumb, if something feels genuinely fake, it is. If something feels really natural, high chances are it is (the true task is not to recognise attraction/affection, it is to distinguish platonic one from romantic (as they are very close in nature), and a realised crush versus one-sided/not acted upon one). People evolved to exercise higher degrees of theory of mind. Before spoken language we, as a species, could only rely on body language signals to read other human's thoughts and intentions. We have the programme installed.
I mentioned Showchamp only to say that there was shippery fanservice, but it was not SM's directive (otherwise we would have seen continuation of it during SMRookies and in 2017). Fanservice is not subtle, at all. It is meant to be easily noticeable. Young idols are not actors to give a nuanced appearence of attraction, they do obvious things - compliments, clinging, kisses. Look at Haechan or Jungwoo (circa 2018). Importantly, Jaehyun doesn't do shipping fanservice out of his own will. We have a lot of his interactions with Jungwoo, when the latter tries to ship them, and how poorly Jae plays along with JaeWoo fanservice. JohnJae did a few shipping skits for EnNaNa (like running out of elevator hand in hand), again, we have something to compare to.
A lot of shippers believed that JaeDo were together during 2016-2017 exactly because they were so awkward and cute, and always talked about each other, so people looked through rose-tinted glasses, and shipped the usual way.
When you reconstruct a picture, there shouldn't be outliers and contradictions. If JaeDo are just old-time good friends, there should not be any tension between them, no avoidance, no unreasonable ups and downs in PDA. Jaehyun is Doyoung's dongsaeng, and he is the only one dongsaeng he doesn't treat with utmost unwavering affection. Doyoung has known Hanbin for a couple of years and interacts with him briefly, and yet he shows more attention to him, than his old favourite original nest baby. This is a clear indicator that the reading of "friends" is wrong. And everyone realises it. Theory of mind programme works, it's the critical thinking that's lagging behind. So most prefer to jump to a conclusion they are not friends at all or hate being shipped.
2. For sure. Ships are pushed on rotation. However, a distinction should be made between "pushed together" and "pushed as a ship". DoWoo go on a lot of shows, yet they are self-presented as "Kim brothers". There is no "oh, looook, don't you think there is something sus going on? they look sooo romantic, so good together!". For example, two members can be sent as representatives or as MCs because they fit the job description well. The difference is in whether the members' skills or existing popularity are used, or there is an incentive, a consious plan to play on fans' desire to ship.
I actually didn't mean to say that JaeWoo was purposefully built up during DJJ (althought it's true, Woo worked for it). I meant to say that JaeDo were pretty relaxed and there were a lot of very shippy moments, but fans didn't pay them any mind already convinced the two dislike each other.
Jaehyun is not very comfortable in shipping himself with JaeWoo, it's just that Woo is comfortable about it himself, and is ready to cover for JaeDo. For Jae Woo is a lesser evil, so to speak. He doesn't like shipping fanservice in general (he is a taken man, afterall). And the best option considering only three people are in DJJ, as well.
Have you seen JaeWoo bowling content? Are you sure about chemistry? Heh...

I don’t blame you for anything, or expect you to do anything. But your first paragraph is a good example of the problem.
Here is your clip, where you can catch Doyoung waving his fingers like bunny ears in the air as the couple walk by: https://x.com/jaedoloops/status/1946520691999936605
Here is the same moment, but clearer and from another angle, and you can see Doyoung isn’t next to Jaehyun here: https://x.com/sum_mer201/status/1946583185216922054?s=46
Here is the same thing from another angle where you can see that’s because Doyoung is on the side of the table closest to the couple: https://x.com/sum_mer201/status/1946580054793994424?s=46
And lastly, from one more angle behind the NCT table, where you see Doyoung waving, and as the camera pans over you see Johnny next to him, and eventually you catch Jaehyun next to him: https://x.com/johndokarma/status/1946528149702873307/video/1
Doyoung never sat anywhere else but next to Johnny. It doesn’t matter really. But it’s a perfect example of how your “observations” are really only you seeing what you want to see.
JaeDo are going to do whatever they want to do no matter what you or I think about it. Don’t worry, I won’t ever write you another comment.
Link1, Link2, Link3, Link4
OK, I will admit my mistake with this particular moment. Thank you for the multiple angles.
However, you fail to realise that one or two mistakes made by me doesn't mean anything (because yes, sometimes I'm hasty, I didn't see the other angles, and trusted the description by others, and I should be corrected when that happens). You simply pick out things that suit your narrative (Huh-nim says nonsence). I'm human, so yes, I fall into the same traps as everyone else, sometimes. However, to claim ALL my observations are just what I want to see, you need to dismantle all of thousands of posts I wrote in the past. Body language, tics, habits, parallels, patterns, etc, etc. And not only me, but also people from different countries that notice the same rare and obscure moments and details and come to identical conclusions.
Again, you approach the subject from the wrong direction.
You can write to me anytime. Just with a question or an invitation to a discussion, even a supported challenge. Not with a veiled accusation of me wronging you with my delusions. I don't even know if you actually read the body of my analysis, or just joined late and followed updates starting from a random post. That's why I don't bother to defend myself unless it comes to particulars.
To all the readers, I will repeat again. Don't judge whether you can trust what a random person says on the internet. Look for ways to undermine the "expert" to feed your growing dissatisfaction for a lowkey ship. You have your head, people on the internet don't think for you. I'm giving the tools and point out things, you look and apply the tools yourself to make your own judgement. And if it's different from mine - so be it.

Let me be obscure. The problem with most wavering shippers is they only look at what is present and visible and never at what is missing.

I’ve been reading this blog for a while, and I guess I’ve become less convinced over time.
The post about Kimvenchy’s wedding is pretty instructive. DY was given a special place next to the groom as a participant and a close friend. But otherwise, the rest of the NEOs look like a group of friends of the couple. In the group photos, Jhny is next to JH, with his hands over Mk’s shoulders. Jhny whispering something to JW. JH laughs at Jhny while he’s joking with MK and Kang Daniel. But JaeDo stood vaguely next to each other in a way you can crop out other members, so happy day for the shippers.
At the table, where you might expect them to be a bit more natural and less on display, JaeDo ended up further apart. You say that Jhny and JW were “sidelined.” Meanwhile, JH sat between Jhny and JW (maybe "sidelined" means beside Jaehyun lol). Jhny was next to JH the entire wedding. Shippers have to post carefully cropped blurry pictures to obscure the fact that Jhny is between JaeDo, because it clearly annoys certain people if Jhny is too close to DY for too long.
Here they are at a table of people who all know they are dating, but they can’t sit together here at a wedding of their mutual friend? Despite the fact that they sit together in official content all the time. It’s almost anti-shippy.
Over the years, this blog has become less about JaeDo’s relationship, and more about rationalizing why there’s so little of it. You have to make endless assumptions about not only them, but every person around them and those relationships, which you have to bolster (Tae) or undermine (John) or make up (all the people who work at SM who you can’t even name who have to be in on this). Sometimes that leads to funny posts, like the infamous shoe picture for “Just Friends”, where your imagination went in the wrong direction. But there are countless other examples of this type of thinking, most don’t get so directly shown.
I’m not against JaeDo. I think they are cute. But I guess over time I’ve become more convinced they have a long-standing friendship that is exactly what it appears to be. I’m not even sure why I wrote this. Maybe it’s a goodbye to JaeDo and shipping in general. I almost hope I’m wrong. Maybe one day when Do is back from the military there will be a JaeDo renaissance. But I think I’m getting to too old and cynical to believe that anymore. Best of luck.
I'm not going to write anything trying to "re-convince" you. I already can tell you are approaching the subject from a wrong direction. I'll just correct you on the seat placement factoid. Do sat in two different places (between Jae and Woo, and with JN between himself and Jae) because he stood up to sing.
When people don't understand something, they blame the speaker. When their own ideas are challenged, they don't try to ask for more information on the matter, they resist and stay with their initial opinion. Knowing that, all I do is lay out observations. Those who are capable, will come to the same conclusions independently.
I stopped writing in support of JaeDo being real a long time ago because it's enough to see the bond staying the same. I'm asked often to explain why there is so little JaeDo interactions, that's why the topic is brought up on repeat. 80% posts right now are about the music, careers and albums. And I'm aware that the shippery posts nowadays look too shippery. And I'm OK with it, I did my manifesto, I rest my case, I'm having fun now. Me, JaeDo, or anyone really won't suffer from your changed opinion. I wonder why you had to write such a long post as well. Blame me for "wasted time"?
Be on your merry way. And please lessen your ego a bit, next time just leave a channel or a blog, a k-pop group, that became boring for you, silently. No need for public declarations. I contemplated not to publish your post at all, but decided to show some courtesy as I try to publish everyone's opinion regardless.

How hard it is to listen to some other k-pop groups sometimes... The voices are so grinding (?), like a prolonged crack.
So many groups also have no distinct musical sound. Spotify changes albums and groups, and I don't even notice.

hi huh-nim. when do you think jaedo stopped being the government assigned ship? bc it’s obvious that pre-debut / smrookies era they were pushed by sm and somehow it laid the foundation of jd. there are recent official contents that i think were still done to reinforce jd sometimes (one example is the seasons greetings) though it’s just my opinion idk i wanna know your thought heheh
They never were, actually. You have a wrong impression.
The initial plan was to assign Doyoung to a Chinese unit that was meant to debut soon after 127 (but the Chinese ban on Korean products happened). Therefore, there was no sense to push JaeDo, make fans fall for a ship that wasn't meant to last. Rookie Doyoung had more official pictures with Hansol (who also was meant to debut in the unit that never was). For how tight TaeDoJae were as trainees, there are very few JaeDo only pics with SMRookies logo in existance from that era.
DoJae rose to popularity because of Show Champion. However, it were local PD-nims that relied heavily on shipping fanservice and wrote shippery scripts, not SM's instruction. It was Jaehyun with his visible crush who talked about soulmates and sulked when he thought Do didn't prepare any BD gifts for him. Of course, the two singing together during SM Rookies show helped. However, they were a part of Tende, not a duo, there were no other vocalists on par at the time, and TaeDo had their special performances as well.
JaeYong were the government assigned ship. You can see for yourself how often they were paired for photoshoots and given team missions in 2017. And if Jae was sent together with another member on a show in later years it often was Taeyong.
JaeDo became NCT representatives for a short period. It made sense as they were Korean, tall, rich-boy looking, and with MC/press skills.
You are right though, although Do and Jae weren't openly pushed to qualify for a government ship, the awareness among SM staff of their popularity obviously existed. SM not making a government ship out of them (not switching to them), stopping sending them anywhere, indeed was a sign of "something is not right". And the answer is two-fold: at first it was SM's doing because the two started to date, later it was Doyoung's apprehension that they will be found out. In both cases there was a factor of some obscure threat (I call that period simply "the ban"), that we know nothing about but could see its casted shadow. Once the threat passed, SM gradually stopped censuring JaeDo from NCT content, Doyoung eased up and learnt how to look into Jae's eyes again.
In recent years SM did start to pair the two together to cater to shippers and get them money, but only for paid or limited content. Something outside of the mainstream (poorly advertised lives you had to buy access to, Season greetings). Nothing "in your face" like MarkHyuk get, or YuWin (who got a whole wedding) and YuMark.
I've been observing JaeDo since the beginning, so I know all the fluctuations that happened. And I can assure you it's not SM staff who stands in the way. All in all, they did a good job of making a transition over the years, changing the lore and making everyone forget JaeDo were ever close. So much so, that even with DJJ, Jae talking about marriage, insisting on Dorsen&Jamal as a name for the group, and shamelessly flirting in elevators, it was either "poor Jae has to suffer working with Do" or "JaeWoo are soooo in love". Lols.
I'm told to expect JaeDo not caring to hide anymore much after they return from the military (comparison with another long-time couple that already reunited). I hope it will be so.

this is kinda random and stupid but i find the engagement the neos have on ig so fascinating
127 on average have more followers (10.8 avg vs 8.6) but severely lagging behind on likes. aside from jaeyong and mahae the rest struggle to get over 1m compared to dream where that only applies to chenle and rejun which aligns with chinas preference for other socmed
yuta has 8.8m followers but averaging somewhere in the 200k mark on every post whereas jisung with half the followers is always in the millions
is it just that dream fans are younger and perhaps a bit more active on ig? or maybe 127 are too inactive rn.. but jaehyuns likes have been way up since his enlistment
IG is blocked in China. VPN exist, but many people tend to get used to the lack of foreign socmed (witnessing it unravelling right now in Russia, we will be cut off from the world soon as well). Pretty sure each IG picture is re-posted on Weibo and other inner platforms anyway.
Difference in age (more free/more busy), the type of fans themselves (notifs on/off; super invested/normal interest), and the country of origin, plus what percentage of subscribers are not k-pop fans. Idols are followed by random lurkers as just handsome men as well. And such mugles don't have initiative to give a like (fans know engagement brings dividends (especially for brand posts), plus it's another metric to compare with). Finally, the type of posts from neos. Jisung's "boyfriend mirror selca" pics should be more like-provoking than Do's "look at my back, look at the sky", lol.
And yeah, 127's inactivity should play a role in IG hiding some posts/people missing them. (I think it has become worse recently... I don't recognise my timeline, so many pushed posts instead of my subscriptions).
Lastly, X basically is IG mirror. I see Do's pics reposted there much sooner, than on IG, lol. So, I presume, a lot of subscribers don't check IG regularly like me.
Likes per post/number of subscribers metric.
1–3% → Average for most accounts.
3–6% → Strong engagement — above average.
6%+ → Very high engagement.
So in anyway, all get high engagement regardless.

Unreliable narrator
Jaehyun had a vacation and met with Haechan. Everytime we get to know he met with a neo it is through that other neo's words. And it's their choice to tell or not, and with a delay of what length.
But if Doyoung says he doesn't meet Jaehyun it is certainly true, right?

Just curious your thoughts on what might have happened between Do and Ten... My personal guess is that it could be a mismatch of personalities or they just grew apart because of their career plans like Do joining 127 and Ten joining WayV after they debuted officially. I think both ways are possible cuz that's just how life works. I don't think they are on BAD terms from what we've seen so far. They both are amazing artists and I truly enjoy their music as an NCTzen. I wish the best for them.
No, the fall out was sudden and happened in 2020. And it was Doyoung's doing as Ten tried to reconciliate and is still the one who is most friendly (but the two are back to talking at least). Being in two different groups simply didn't help the case. Being in one group pushes members to get along as they see each other 24/7 (think of the famous KunTen war of the past), while working apart allows to just "let things be" and freeze the issue for a prolonged time without talking the disagreement out.
DoTen were never close friends, just chummy because of same age and their work together. However, difference in characters wasn't a problem. They got along well. Think classmates who play together. Do took care of Ten as a foreigner. However, Do usually still keeps up relationships the way he left them, he is generally friendly with everyone, he still dotes on WinWin and tried to get to know Renjun better when the latter showed desire to become closer to his hyung. Ten was a special unusual case. Especially considering he is a close friend of Jaehyun (the ties are still there).
Noone knows what happened. A black cat ran between them. I suspect, Ten said or did something Doyoung took too seriously and personally and couldn't forgive. They are back on speaking terms now. Doyoung is civil. Just not amicable like before. No selcas, no hugs, no visiting each others concerts.
DoTen case (and JohnDo case, the two were somehow tied as they happened at the same period) taught us that evoking Doyoung's wrath is very dangerous. He is patient and loving untill he is not and does a 180' turn and puts a person on "ignore forever".

Quick on the similarity between TaeJae and DoMark.

I realised that JaeYong dissapeared completely from my timeline. Shippers used to be everywhere and in everyone's business, and now they are not active. It's JohnDo and JaeWoo that are in fashion. Perhaps, it's temporaly due to the enlistment, but it made me remember the two.
So, the parallel. When Taeyong says he sees Jaehyun as a little brother he never had he is stubbornly clinging to the past. In this regard he reminds me Doyoung's affection for Mark and the lore about naming his kids after him.
Jaehyun was Tae's "child" for the few years before debut. The first thing Tae did when he met Do is tell him to befriend Jae, for Jae to have a friend of similar age. And the three have been hanging out together a lot ever since.

During Firetruck era, with the absence of Do during 127 promotions, TaeJae kept to each other. However, already then the roles of Parent and Child started to reverse. Tae is a good loving hyung, but a parental assertive figure he is not. Maturing Jaehyun started to slip into a more equal-footing role simply by the virtue of his character.

And then the whole jealousy over Doyoung and "rebellous age" happened. The way Mark was "stop babying me, mom, I'm a grown up now" was with Do, the same way Jaehyun was with Tae. Taeyong continued to cling, but "the baby" didn't want to continue to be treated as one. His puppy wiggling tail belly rubs age was over. Jaehyun became stand-offish, quarreled with Tae a lot (127's favourite entertainment in early 2018), and tolerated rather then really welcomed the physical contact.

I'm already losing track of years, I think the peak of distancing happened in 2019-2020, but Jaehyun started to "return home" after TaeDoJae was sorted out and Taeyong's attempts at talks and repairing things had an effect. Tae was so over the Moon when Jae started to play with him again, lols (the ice in pants incident).
Tae and Jae never really had a fall out the way some other members had (DoTen), the relationship just stopped being as affectionate and reciprocal on Jae's part. As Jaehyun matured even more, he accepted he needed to work on the relationship as well and be the dongsaeng Tae wants again, offer to play videogames and hang out.

I spent a bit of time looking up TaeDo pic on Pinterest (the best place to go dig up k-pop pictures, truly, it's mindblowing how endless is an in demand idol's digital footprint), and thought about what makes TaeDo so comfortable to us, fans, as a pair of friends on display. It's easy to read how homely their bond is. Not all their interests align, they don't always run to each other with their troubles, there is a push and pull dynamic in place, but they both accept each other as they are and can be fully themselves in each other's company with very little accomodation (the need to exercise patience, forgiveness or understanding at times - yes, but not caution and guard).
For example, Doyoung very seldom "attacks" Yuta out of the blue, he waits for Yuta to move first, he judges whether Yuta is in a playful mood. Otherwise he treats him with gloves on. Do holds his tongue with Johnny often, choosing the passive acceptance mixed with avoidance, or the path of de-escalation. With Taeyong he doesn't do it. He both goes extremely sweet on him (like the Rubi golden pendant) and callous (the couple rings that were used for show in a way Tae didn't like).
Meanwhile Tae is a clingy person and he clings to everyone given a chance, but he knows he doesn't need to restrain himself and put on the leader/hyung hat to be easier liked around Do. He can amuse himself with love proclamations the whole day, Do will huff, but not become irritated. Both have the agreement to annoy each other to their heart's content because they also know that they both really care.
Fans often say how Jaehyun is the one who takes care of Doyoung who takes care of everyone. As for Taeyong, he is someone Doyoung can just be Dongyoung with - the noisy kid who needed bribes to make him shut up and sit still.
Also, although neos have known each other for over 10 years, most of them didn't become close for a long time (Mark, Johnny, Yuta and others talked about it). There was trainee rivalry, then the pressure of debuting and making it, the non-stop work, etc. They didn't have time or mental energy to really get to know each other, they needed to learn how to get along and tolerate each others bad habits, and survive. Meanwhile TaeDo were in each other's orbits from Day 1, even with all the "I hate him" that took place. They really walked the whole length of this idol path (exept the two years before Do's enrollment into SM) together hand in hand.

I also like seeing Taeyong in Do's company, he always looks very open and content (and if he is not in the best of moods or worried, he will light up after spending some time with his bestie). Even when Tae is almost ignored he still enjoys the crumbs of attention, he can whine and do boba eyes, and get his way eventually.

Oops, I did it again.
Wish producing team did it again. BoA says she is involved throughly at every stage, so maybe it is her understanding that the current bgs lack the easiness, cheerfulness and the fun comedic element of bgs of old.
A lot of small references to the worlbuilding like "Wichu crossing" sign; Cupid pop soda, Choco melt boba in the drinks menu; or the taxi with a bird logo (which is a real taxi service in Bali, how convenient). Croissant on a surfing board sticker, lol. They forgot to tell the special effects artist that the cat should be black, though. (And the chipmunk is not exactly the same as the red squrrel, but in this case I'll give it a pass).
Heh, look at Yushi circling August 12th on the calendar in the MV. How punctual SM became with the releases, lol. What is the hidden meaning behind "39/45" instead of 24?
They also do a splendid job of turning Jaehee, the "least attractive" member into "husband material", with clothes and roles he gets (by the way, SM is constantly accused of pushing their artists to do plastic surgeries (which is not true nowadays, at least), while Jaehee is still with his super thin upper lip 2 years past debut in the country that prefers puffy round lips). The Wish staff team really found a way to not rely on just a couple of members and sell the whole package. Designated colours, choreos with constant rotation, and everyone getting along well helps this "My little pony" line up presentation. (Again, it didn't happen from the get go. For some time Jaehee was kept behind everyone in dance formation when he was still catching up with his dancing skills).
Sidenote: continue to wait Jaehee as an actor, he is a natural.
