i like to think they actually change how they look every rift event come, i mean it would get boring to wear the same things for so long, and it does look like Thespius can Wear other clothes after all, so Mitter didnt ALWAYS wear the black ensemble, honestly she was barely covered when she first ascended, only covered by a funerary cloth.

"Never be Alone"

Started on the sixth of January and planned to be finished on the fourteenth, but landed up not doing that. Somewhere on the sixteenth, I basically said "haha whoops" and pumped out twenty panels. According to Procreate, it took 15 hours and 37 minutes to finish Panels 1-10; 27 hours and 15 minutes on Panels 11-20; and 34 hours and 8 minutes for Panels 21-30.

In total, I have no idea. I just know it took some serious time.

Unlike with She's Gone, I wrote a script. Well, all I wrote was dialogue and some minor actions for Panels 5-23, though lines were changed "in post." Everything else was by the seat of my pants. However, I can say for sure that I was planning on ending it with N being hopeful, but all I had room for was him crying. He cannot catch a break.

(also to those who suspected uzi was still in there, guess you were right all along.)

There's never enough in depth talk about Caduceus for me. I need more people to obsess about the parallels between him and the Wildmother in Downfall. Her starvation and loneliness, a loneliness caused by her loved one's sense of duty, just like Cad. Him being described when we first meet him as "unhealthily thin" as he sits all alone in the Blooming Grove. Nature being under attack in the Calamity and Caduceus' own little patch of nature being under threat in C2. There is so much.

yes but it's less "I can't wait to intentionally put this into my story" and more "hm. I sure do write this a lot. hope that doesn't mean anything!"

so we all know astarion was named after the minotaur of greek myth, who, despite widely known as the minotaur (“bull of minos”), was named astarion/asterion (“starry one”) by his mother at birth. asterion the minotaur was trapped in a labyrinth and cursed to devour virginal men and women thrown in there as sacrifices.

”The House of Asterion” is a 1947 short story by Argentine writer Jorge Luis Borges that retells the story of the minotaur from the minotaur’s point of view. it’s one of his best early short stories and it’s very short, only 3 pages long. you can read it here.

borges is in my top 3 favorite writers of all time, and “The House of Asterion” obviously deserves to be considered on its own merits, so i feel slightly irreverent connecting this text to a recent video game. but i reread this short story today and there was much to think about, there were many more seeds planted in my mind in terms of interpretations of the minotaur myth and how asterion the minotaur relates to the story of astarion the vampire. i think it will for you, too.

demons may not trust each other but at least they have a common enemy, a shared trauma. But what do the angels even have keeping them together? They have been left so lonely and devoid of kindness - the structure of heaven honestly seems like it'd crumble under the weight of a feather

simply don't have all the brain space to articulate it 100% but that scene in the last episode of mismag 2 where Evan talks about how there isn't a space for him in the world, and that feeling he alludes to that basically suffocates him which says you are not as important as whatever is going on in your friends lives,,, god that's fucking real but also, a thing I've learned over the years: that knowledge that you cannot be the number one priority all the time in your chosen people's lives becomes so much easier to carry when you have people who will put you first some of the time. the people who love you will make time for you. and you'll only realise the difference between the ones who like you and the ones who love you when you realise just how much less you're having to fight to have those people pay attention to you. and it means more when they show up because they're choosing you. and while there will always be work, it's so. much. easier.
