YAY!!!! AUTISM POST!!!! WOOHOOO!!!! as you may know or have guessed, my little pony franchise is our special interest!!! it means a lot a lot to us and we enjoy it immensely, different parts enjoy different generations or aspects (ie toys and media) but we all love it!

However! im not here today to talk about My Little Pony instead I am going to talk about our special interest from when we were a kid, which was: DOGS!!!!🐶

When we were a kid we loved dogs, our favorite breed was Dalmatians and we had a dalmatian plush we carried with us everywhere. Her name is holly and we still have her to this today! (She's 16 years old wowo!!!) We had a really old animal encyclopedia as a child and there was 4 pages entirely dedicated to dogs and we researched the FUCK out of that. Made list after list and sometimes for fun we would just stare at the pages. It was so intense that our parents ended up buying an entire encyclopedia dedicated to dogs. And that was incredible!!!! Many many hours were consumed as a child researching dogs. We don't have many memories as a child but we do have memories of playing games on the playground with our friends! And our friends got real tired of us choosing to play the dog when we were playing superheroes (which tbh is CRAZY why couldn't you just let us be the superhero dog???)

BUT ANYWAYS YES SPECIAL INTERESTS ARE SO MUCH AAAA!!! I love love love talking about them (fun fact before my little pony our special interest was south park)

Here's a few words for little objects!

Crafted Object = Waf Something that was made. Not just a naturally occurring thing. A pretty stone is a wupee, a thing, but not a waf. A stone with a face painted onto it is a waf.

Toy = Wowo A small object meant to be played with, usually a figurine or a game piece. Owo is often used for balls, specifically.

Poppet = Kooswo An object used for spiritual or religious purposes. A bundle of wrapped summoning items for channeling, a star-shaped thing used as a StarClan motif, or a painting of an ancestor on a wall can all count as poppets.

Charm = Fafwaf A sort of small object made of cat fur. They're meant to have a bit of "energy" left from the cat who contributed the fur, which can lend you luck or protection if you keep it close. The most popular type of Fafwaf is a brace, worn on the neck or tail, and adorned with interesting objects.

So for that example with Sorrelcharm, with the idea it would be Sorrelshine's Honor Title, she would be fantastic at making Fafwaf. Anyone can make a little fafwaf (and they're often traded casually at Gatherings, ones with better "energy" being more valued), but hers are masterclass. She can get ANYTHING onto those charms.

She'll even carve small wooden bits to weave into the design. It started as a way to make an adjustable "buckle" so she didn't have to get the dimensions of her tail perfect every time she made a new one, and that ended up being the thing that set her on the path towards being head of the Construction Patrol.

S5 Pregnancy AU - I’d love to hear about!

Welp, this is embarrassing – mostly because this has been sitting in my inbox for almost two weeks, and I kept saying “I need to write something up!” and then… I didn't. (Or rather, I did, then I forgot to post it.) Sorry for the wait, Lil! Thank you for asking <3 (I'll divide this up because I keep writing about the process and how it came to be, instead of any actual, interesting facts.)

I have talked about this one in the past though I don't have a tag for it. The gist is what it says… (Early) S5 but CJ is pregnant. I had this idea over a year ago when I hit mid/late S4 in my rewatch. I thought it'd be interesting to explore some of her disappointment at that time if you added an unexpected pregnancy to it, even if I had the idea before even getting there, lol. Think, the ending-ish of Han, or parts of Disaster Relief. (Both of which do feature! I surprisingly focus a lot on Disaster Relief.)

The thing with S5 is that the timeline is so weird, and I feel I've also created one that isn't entirely realistic but I think it works within the story. (IIRC, the season starts in “May” but also July, then the Shutdown is in November, lmao. A few of the episodes are sneaky two-parters that flow into each other… See 5-6, 7-8.) I've finally gotten out of the no-man's-land I wrote myself into and the next chapter or two, knowing myself, will deal with 7-8! There are a couple of scenes that should be fun to write! (There are so many details I want to mention that are technically spoilers for early twists…)

Every time I had the urge to write it, I'd edit whatever outline I was working in, and though I kept some details… my muse decided to make a big change early on that completely changed the fic's direction. That, and my inability to write anything succinctly. No reason why this story will cross the 100k barrier in a couple of chapters, tops. (It's sitting at 85k across 12 chapters. I think it'll be less than 20 chapters total. Hopefully.)

This might be too long to share snippets, but I've shared some either on the server or here, a couple of months ago.

For more irrelevant details on the “process”…

As I hinted at, I wrote an outline or two around this time last year, because I couldn't stop thinking about it. When I say outlines, it's a general path for the story to follow – ideas, suggestions of dialogue and/or scenes I write to myself; all focused around some sort of chapter structure. I find it much easier to write if I write down where a chapter might go, even if it's just a few lines saying “This happens → then this → finally this;” otherwise, it takes me months. Some would say that I should post it and get encouragement that way but… I hate being dependent on something I can control even less than my muse? That's not for me, thank you. Mad respect for those who work like that.

It was meant to be short – 1-2 “long” chapters per trimester, more if needed, but then interludes in between trimesters. It's not that. Most chapters currently cover 1-2 weeks, but there is not really a pattern. I was afraid of having a fic that would take over my life like the WOWO did three years ago… And it has, but I've also taken breaks and not felt too guilty about them. I definitely don't want this one to sit in my drive and have me wondering what to do with it.

(The novel, aka WOWO, aka IM AU (2021): 150k written in a little over five months, even with extended breaks over the summer. Still hits, even with all its crazy decisions, maybe because of them, but it's also been too long, and it will always remind me of someone who kinda hurt me. Attempts to replace those memories by sharing the story with others, trying to gather whether it's worth posting, have failed, lmao. One day! Maybe!)

But yeah. Uuuuuhhhh. As I've said… Twelve chapters in ten months, 85k words… It's still not done. In fact, I've repeatedly said I am unsure of how to end it (beyond the obvious), but I'd estimate it to be under 20 chapters. I'm not posting it anywhere yet because I want to be able to edit it as a whole and try to make it more consistent; to add little details as I come up with them. There's also the fact that I am not skilled enough to write a compelling story that mixes politics and emotion into something remotely engaging. As a result, the story's politics are very surface-level, and probably repetitive at points, but it's also true I've always been more interested and focused on the emotional journey and the relationship(s) at its center. (Which should surprise exactly no one who's ever read one of my stories.)

But, as critical as I might sound of myself here, I am having fun writing this and I'm committed to seeing it through. I just keep having ideas for stories down the line, putting actual show events through a 'but she also has a kid' perspective.

After staying up all night last night doing research and crying, I finally came up with my Mayerling theory:

Rudolf was depressed (or maybe bipolar) because of his political struggles, issues with Franz Josef, and troubles with Elisabeth. Mary was bipolar, because she found life as Baroness as hell. Once they met, they realized that they had that in common, unlike the rest of the Nobility. They immediately bonded, and in order to meet, Mary's cousin and Rudolf's aunt Marie Larisch let them meet in secret. That's how their affair really kicked off.

Rudolf had a botched relationship with his wife Stephanie, for Elisabeth's hatred of her had let their relationship (Rudolf and Stephanie's) to spiral. That's when Rudolf first proposed a suicide pact to an actress named Mizzi (I believe). She refused, and because Rudolf didn't want to die alone, he then went to young, naive, and lovestruck Vetsera. Vetsera agreed.

The night of 29 January, 1889, Franz Josef and Elisabeth had an Imperial dinner party, before departing to Buda, Hungary, on 31 January. Rudolf then excused himself from the party with the excuse of being sick. He then left to meet Mary at the Mayerling Hunting Lodge, which he had just purchased. After a day of hunting, he then went to Vetsera. They locked themselves in his room, and he shot her, then turned the gun on himself. When people came looking for him, they couldn't get the door open, so one man ended up breaking down the door. They then found Rudolf's body on a chair, motionless, bleeding out of the mouth, and Mary's, with rigor mortis already set in.

Minister-President Edwaurd Taaffe tried to cover up the suicide by stating that Rudolf had a "rupture of an aneurysm of the heart". The Imperial Family still believed that Vetsera had poisoned Rudolf and then killed herself. Mary's mother also believed this. When the Imperial Court medical commission arrived, and informed Franz Josef that it was a suicide pact which killed them. The Vienna Gazette still published the death as an aneurysm.

They attempted to state that Vetsera died while traveling to Venice, and was quickly buried in secret by her uncles after they snuck her body out of Mayerling by propping her body up with a broomstick. She was taken to be buried among many other suicides, at the Cistercian Abbey of Heiligenkreuz, in Heiligenkreuz, Lower Austria. Her mother was denied access to her grave by the Imperial Family for two months after her death, while they cleared all evidence that she was ever at Mayerling.

Mary left a note to her mother that read: "dear mother, please forgive me for what I've done, I could not resist love. In accordance with him, I want to be buried next to him in the cemetery of Alland. I am happier in death than life. Mary"

Rudolf's letter to Stephanie states: "Dear Stephanie, you are now rid of my presence and annoyance; be happy in your own way. Take care of the poor wee one, she is all that remains of me. To all acquaintances, especially Bombelles [Count Karl Bombelles, head of his household], Spindler [Head Secretary Heinrich Ritter von Spindler], Latour [Count Josepf Latour von Thurmburg, Rudolf's childhood governor], Wowo [Rudolf's childhood nickname for his nurse, Baroness Von Welden], Gisela [his sister], Leopold [Gisela's husband], etc., etc., say my last greetings. I go quietly to my death, which alone can save my good name. I embrace you affectionately. Your loving Rudolf."

All the rest of the official documents, including Rudolf's farewell letter to Elisabeth, are lost. It wasn't until 2015 (?) that Mary's letter to her mother, and Rudolf's farewell letter to Stephanie were found, along with Mary's baptismal certificate, and death certificate. They were discovered in the vaults of the library, in a leather bound case. The letters had allegedly been there since 1926, and my belief is that they were dropped off their by Mary's sister in law, who was ordered by Vetsera's mother to destroy them.

The Mayerling Incident remains to me the scariest, most devastating event in history, as it truly sends shivers down my spine. I feel truly awful for Rudolf and Mary, and wished that they could have been happy together.

It took me a little bit to decide on formatting and I just decided to post this screenshot from the team overlay then post each member and write a silly little blurb about what they do and how I feel about them then end it off with a small explanation about how the team functions, I haven't decided whether I wanna post grid and est damage and stuff since that's kinda boring for everyone who isn't as enthusiastic about spreadsheets about anime images, and everyone who is probably thinks these teams suck and that I should kill myself

Oomfie one: Cereal

Cereal is the beating heart of my entire light team and it's safe to say that it would take a lot for me to be willing to make a team without him, my goal for most of my light teams is always ougi spam and this guy let's you build meter so fast it's crazy, combined with kengo and my main weapon also building meter and I can ougi like every other turn give or take (which will only go up once I finally make my light kaneshige), he's got a pretty decent artifact as you can see (or can't artifacts are confusing and on average bad and or do nothing but this one does a little), only male character I'm not deeply upset about being integral to my build 10/10 would recommend

Oomfie 2: Grea forma de homosexualé

If cereal is my teams beating heart grea is the brains of the operation, she's got three pretty awesome buffs that give extra stuff based on which one you pop first (usually ends up being the first one as it also builds meter and is part of the reason this team can ougi so frequently, but if it happens to come on a turn where everyone's CB is full she can pull out a pretty spicy TA buff), she's in there with one of the reasons all of my teams are so ougi heavy because she's my little mipy even outside how good she is (her fire version was one of my first real hard carries so I have a soft spot for her) 12/10 my silly little dragon oomfie I will pray for your gay marriage to your friend (this may or may not be canon I didn't actually read her fate episode I am just making wild assumptions about her sexuality because I'm evil :3) almost forgor to mention the artifact sitch (she doesn't have one because the only light melee artifact I've ever received is like comically bad like really just awful)

Oomfie 3: lu wOwO

One of the newer additions to the party who I'm VERY ANGRY AT BECAUSE I COULD HAVE GRAND CAGI IN THIS TEAMBUT UNFORTUNATELY THIS FUCKING DRAGONTWINK IS INCREDIBLY GOOD FOR MY TEAM, he sports a very nice field buff, a damage skill that procs every time he normal attacks and a *clenches jaw* really really good buff that makes everyone hit very hard and heal a good amount of health every turn, he also won the artifact lottery by a very substantial margin, another thing I seethe about at night because his personal damage is just okay so I've gone out of my way to try and make him a pseudoattacker of sorts 9/10 but in a dark woke way because I can't make myself give him a good grade even though he's objectively great

I won't post a portrait or do a full paragraph for the last two as they aren't even real anchors they're just my favorite little bench warmers, goblin mage is a debuffer on coke and winner of the "most likely to be in there if I didn't have that stupid little dragontwink" award, and utsusemers is just my silly little oomfie as I'm as you'll come to learn over the next several days a pretty big fan of draph and long time fans will know I'm also a very big fan of ancient Japan so you know she's my silly little bestie

The method:

I'm gonna keep this bit short because I doubt many if any made it this far and I'm sure only I really care about the interactions in detail but basically the plan goes like this- first pop my call for hall and mall (I'm dubious about how important this step actually is but Def down is always good and I'm highly superstitious), hit all three of lu's skills, pop all three of greas skills left to right, you can do all three of cereals skills next but only the first two are important if the battle is gonna be short, then all of djeetas skills left to right, which ends up with everyone getting their ougi first turn as djeeters has three attacks and usually has 100% bar at this point but even if she didn't there isn't a single chance in hell she doesn't get one, cereal hits two because his second buff gives him CA reactivation and of course at this point everyone else has gotten like 56% charge bar because of the first two (note to self look into cereal last spot as a battery for everyone to get a second turn of ougi) everyone does at least five milly an ougi thanks to the copious amount of steroids this comp has pumped into them and we all go for ice cream a turn and a half later unless I'm doing like a really hard raid

Thank you very much, I loved your ramblings and they actually make a lot of sense, I mean, it's very possible that after so many fights and especially transformations, which cause sudden changes in his body, Okarun's body is not the same as before and he must have at least some spinal or leg problems, I don't understand how he didn't tear something if in the anime he looks so exhausted after transforming that he can't even move (maybe he suffers from muscle aches and we don't notice, Seiko should take him to the doctor , a spiritualist doctor maybe? Wait what would you pay them with? Charon coins? Some kind of yokai coin? Organs, souls? Sorry, I rambled on too much.)

And wowo that monster Okarun, a mix between a wolf and a cheetah, maybe he's already lost his humanity, simply epic although he should eat more he's so thin and fast he's going to end up fainting like me XD.

I'm more of a draw-er than a words-er, but I wanted to ramble a bit here under the cut ^^ Thanks again for the ask, I am so happy to have another reason to yap about Turbo Okarun~

While I'm glad that the manga/anime didn't spend too much time on Okarun's struggles in canon, I am having So Much Fun thinking of ways to torture this guy haha. We see him complaining that the curse hurts him in the first half of the season, but he doesn't actually seem to end up with any lasting damage! In my mind, it'd make sense for him to end up more fatigued or to suffer from random nosebleeds or other internal injuries due to the curse manipulating his body the way it does.

I also looooved the instances in episodes 5/6 when he transformed without meaning to! Very fun to see his emotions getting the better of him~

Now, if I were a fic writer, I would be so interested in exploring physical side effects in something like a sick fic. What if he detransforms and finds that he can't warm back up? Still corpse-cold like his yokai form instead of human temperature? Or, I could take a page out of NatsuYuu's book and have him come down with a cold/fever as a consequence of some of his tougher fights? Lots of good potential for angst there, for sure ^^

And lastly, what if he was on a timer the minute he transformed?? What if staying transformed and going all out began chipping away at his sanity? It's not his power, after all. Stay in Turbo Mode too long and suddenly he's a prisoner in his own mind. The curse takes over and he's just along for the ride, no longer able to control his body. >:3
