So everyday when I flop back into bed at the end of the day I cuddle him and dramatically sigh a little “Oh Aether Bear.”

sometimes I think about how when I went to college for a year before I dropped out (basically failed out,) the counselors/dean told me they can't help me at all or give any accommodations unless I have an official autism/adhd diagnosis. that might sound logical at first, but when you think about it more, it's actually quite fucked up. if someone is struggling really bad, what's the harm in helping them? why do they require a paper to get even the smallest amount of help? people who don't need help aren't going to be failing miserably without help! even NTs could benefit from some adjustments to the horrible school system! (but changing the entire system is a whole other conversation that the school system isnt ready for)

but even if you do agree to jump through their hoops, you realize it's even more fucked up that the diagnosis process requires YEARS in most cases (in my case it took 4 or 5 years, can't recall exactly now, for autism/adhd diagnosis, which would have meant i finished school before getting it if i managed to mot fail out, or i wait that long before going back, which is a whole struggle itself) and they also tried billing me for THOUSANDS of dollars because of insurance issues!!

so you put a ton of time and money into this, and then get told the only accommodation they are willing to give you for autism and adhd is "a little extra time on tests"

....

my test scores were the best part of my whole class experience. that was NOT what I struggled with!!!!! those tests were all online and could be done in the comfort of your home where you can accommodate yourself and have plenty of time left over when you finish them because you are comfy in your own space, (and also, no one was stopping you from having your notes/books/google open to find the answers,) and you don't even need a time consuming, expensive diagnosis for that!

Steve managed to accidentally crush his headphones over the weekend, so he reluctantly turned to Billy Hargrove for help.

Steve and Billy hadn’t exactly gotten off to the best of starts, considering they beat the crap out of each other within the week. Billy has mellowed out significantly since Neil had left though, so Steve told himself to grow some balls and walked into the general repair shop Billy worked at.

The death metal blasting from the speakers was obnoxious but there was basically nobody there so Steve was able to swallow down the rising panic creeping up his throat. Billy was just some guy. He’d move back to California come the new year and Steve’s life would be exactly the same as it had always been. At least that’s what he told himself.

Billy raised an unimpressed eyebrow at Steve tripping over the step on his way up then stammering his way through an apology. His headphones lay sadly tucked under arm, limp and lifeless.

Actually getting the word autism out was harder than Steve anticipated. Maybe it was because he wasn’t used to telling other people or maybe it was because he found Billy very attractive and he knew what happened whenever anyone he liked found out.

The curl of the lip. The sneer. The asking if he was like mentally five or something.

He managed to stumble his way through explaining that they were his sensory aides and they really helped him not get overwhelmed in public and please don’t punch me again Hargrove.

Billy didn’t punch him, much to Steve’s great surprise. Instead he mumbled something about be right back Harrington and disappeared into the staff only area, only to return with a brand new pair which he thrust into Steve’s hands.

“I get it Harrington. Just take these, you busted yours pretty badly. On the house.”

Steve was pretty sure his brain malfunctioned briefly and then attempted to exit the shop after pushing on a pull door.

Billy had been pretty civil with him. So either it was all some great prank that was about to fall on his head or Steve may have misjudged him just a little.

He didn’t risk reaching out again until a month later when he’d really managed to fuck his oven up and gave himself a five minute mantra about being confident before dming Billy on Instagram asking for help.

A message came back in a minute asking what the fuck he’d managed to do. Steve insisted he had no idea then he just got a short, blunt “on my way princess.”

Billy’s tool box was extensive. As much as Steve would have wished, that wasn’t an innuendo. He just had a lot of kit, probably more than was needed for the actual state of the oven.

They hung out a bit while Billy tinkered, threw out jargon that Steve didn’t understand, then declared it was fixed. Steve resolutely tried not to stare at a peach ass in very tight denim. He may have failed.

A comfortable silence fell afterwards until Steve panicked and asked if he wanted a coffee. It only seemed polite. Billy had been working all afternoon pretty much.

How that ended in them snuggled onto the sofa, Steve couldn’t exactly remember. All he could really register was that Billy’s arms were warm and strong and Steve wished he could just stay there.

Then he snuggled in further and Billy stiffened up. Crap. He’d fucked up somehow.

Steve pulled himself back up into a sitting position, self consciously checking his hair. Billy looked slightly bewildered but more at himself than Steve.

“You…………you alright man? I didn’t push you too far right?”

He got a slow blink in response and being pulled back into a muscular chest. Steve just hoped he wasn’t doing his “simp face”, as Robin had named it.

“Steve”

Ok first name was not a good sign. Prepare for a fist.

“I fucking like you ok? Don’t laugh. I’ve liked you ever since I first set eyes on you, you beautiful oblivious bastard.”

And Steve. Steve had always kind of hated romcoms. They were dumb and clishe and the couples who got together by the end never really made sense.

But looking at Billy’s slightly flushed face and after hearing his confession, Steve thought the romcom route might be the best way to go.

Billy really was a very good kisser.

Did I tell you about the time I accidentally tracked an injured pigeon from multiple city blocks away?

So just after the duck incident, I had this very fresh idea of exactly what rotting bird smells like. I thought I had finally gotten the smell out of the house, but smells to me linger like they get stuck in my sinuses or something...

Anyway so I think it's finally, like gone, gone... and I am out for a walk, and I catch a faint whiff of "rotting bird blood" and I'm like "no". No I refuse to believe this smell is still haunting me, or in my clothes or My hair or whatever. I got that smell out... But I am not just imagining it right? I'm not losing my mind?

I turned back and forth a couple times and the smell got stronger or weaker and I'm like "Okay, if I follow it, I can maybe confirm that smell isn't 'coming from inside the house' so to speak, yeah?" So I do.

Trying not to look like I am obviously sniffing the air and changing my mind about where to walk based on that and maybe pulling off looking more like a crow, or more like I am listening for something, I follow that fucking smell. I follow it long enough that I would be starting to think it's getting silly of me except the smell keeps getting stronger.

So finally I walk back and forth past some store fronts and determine that the smell is strongest right between the buildings. There's an alley there that's maybe 2 feet wide if you're generous about it. And I can hear pigeons cooing. So I stick myself into this little -too narrow to be an alley, you wouldn't want to walk down it really- and there's this pigeon with a fucked up wing. There's blood on the pavement near it, old and dried out. It's mate is there with it and bringing it food. It's tucked away out of they street and it has someone taking care of it, at least, even if that someone is other pigeons. It looks like a cat got at it's wing maybe, or it got clipped by a car. It doesn't want me coming near it.

So there's my answer. The 'rotting bird blood' smell I had just tracked through all the other smells downtown and past main street isn't some big massacred bird corpse stinking in the sun or 20 pigeons that were gunned down with pellets the way it smelled like... It's a living pigeon with an injured wing. The smell that was driving me nuts from blocks away because it was so strong to me and because I knew what the smell was enough to recognize it and be bothered I didn't know where it was coming from.

It felt so silly. It was silly. Probably, but I did learn something about myself and how human senses are that day.

The biggest obstacle to most people being able to pick up on really subtle smells is a combination of bothering to pay attention, being familiar enough with a smell to recognize it, and having an emotional reaction to it enough that it comes to your attention at all, instead of begin written off unconsciously as meaningless noise. Part of my good hearing and sense of smell might be thin nerve endings and sensitive nerves [connective tissue, hormones and autism], but part of it is also the autistic inability to turn off 'junk' sensory input, and just being an observant person prone to noticing patterns. Maybe I have a particularly strong memory for smells in particular for recognition type recall, even if my proactive/intentional recall is shit.

Real life human noses can just be like that too.

And that's without conscious training! There are people who intentionally expose themselves to all the smells and "notes" they can to learn to identify things that way, like cigarette brands by scent, or wines, or whatever!

If you have a character who's a "nose" who has had training and lots of experiences or is a spy who was trained -knowing- they have super senses... I am not going to be impressed if they can only manage the kind of party tricks I can!

And that's why my biggest gripe about writers trying to write characters with a super-sense of smell is twofold:

What you have described isn't outside the range of things I can smell myself [okay I wouldn't say I am an unmutated human exactly like I do have genetic mutations, but you know what I mean]

You haven't given the character a -reason- to be familiar with what that smell even is! There is no inborn ledger of what smells are in the human psyche! They have to be familiar with the smell from a known source to know what it is! Stop forgetting that! Your character needs a reason to have noticed what these things smell like! They won't know what radiation damaged flesh smells like unless they've smelled that before! They won't know what liver cancer smells like unless they have smelled it before! The have to know what a person smells like and that the smell on something -was- from that person to begin with -for someone they haven't met- before they can notice their scent on the wind! Otherwise all they are getting is "a human who used hotel soap" or "something off".

It isn't hard to establish a background comparison they can make to what a smell must be. They spent time in hospitals or medical facilities or old age homes and talked to people enough to identify patterns in what smells are, or they worked at a gas station for a while and know the difference between different fuel smells, gasoline and diesel, leaded, unleaded, etc...

Maybe even they smell something and their brain instantly says "a helicopter was here" and they have to take a moment to be like "why the fuck do I know what a helicopter smells like [or what combo of smells registers as 'helicopter' like machine lubricant, the right fuel, the material of the seats, etc...], obviously there's something I am not remembering, because unconsciously I knew what that smell was when I shouldn't"

I have gotten entire memories back, as someone with amnesia and repressed memories -including of being in a car accident- because I unconsciously ordered what used to be my old coffee order and the smell and taste slammed me back 10 years deep into a memory... A lot of human memory is closely linked to smell and even the writers who -think- they are taking advantage of that aren't thinking big enough.

Yeah it's an experience that's hard to fake if it isn't how you live, but like... Try really testing out your own sense of smell sometime, consciously, [I mean if you smoke or keep exposing yourself to corona I can't help you]. Make a habit of picking out smells around you and taking note of what they are. Carry a notepad around and start to notice trends. Maybe ask a friend with a sensitive nose and sensory issues what their experiences are like.

Mei and MK were once detained by the police for accidentally setting an abandoned building on fire with fireworks that none of them could've gotten at their age

None of them snitched, and the police ended up just keeping them there until their parents picked them up

Mei's family met Tang for the first time as they were collecting their kids--Pigsy was seeing family at the time and was yelling on the phone until MK confirmed he was no longer in jail

Tang and Red Son have autism, and they both use Pigsy's Noodles as a safe area

Red Son has savant syndrome and struggles with socializing and emotions

Tang struggled in school a lot before he found his passion in history and is sensitive to taste and temperature

Wukong makes himself taller, because he doesn't like it when people look down at him (it makes him bitey)

DBK and Red Son have father-son days where they train together and have ice cream. It usually ends with Red Son trying not to cry from joy and partial grief of having his father sealed for so much of his life

DBK doesn't like crying in front of his son, but he does it to show Red Son that it's strong to be weak sometimes

If Wukong stands too close to Macaque, his shadows will bite at Wukong's ankles until he's a respectable distance away

Macaque and Wukong visit each other every few days or so, and they hang out in pure silence, trying to feel the same connection they did in the past

Cytherea (My UTMV OC) Art!

I’m going to write some things about Cytherea! She is my UTMV OC! I have posted her backstory in my blog if you want to check it out! (P.s) she has other outfits and this is just a concept of one!

Here’s some basic info:

Cytherea has multiple names! She has no official name since she doesn’t go by her dead name and has multiple names throughout her life. However, everyone just calls her Cytherea.

Cytherea is half Native American, quarter Greek, and quarter Scottish. Her original parents were Native American, however due to her being born from spirits of them, she was formed by hand, so when she was taken in by her adoptive parents after being brought to them so she could be taken care of properly, she inherited the Greek and Scottish in the adoptive parents.

She is Asexual, Pansexual, and a Demi Girl!

She is an artist and likes to make art! She also enjoys music, dancing, reading, learning, and writing stories.

Her personality is quite difficult to explain. She is a kind and motherly person who has strong levels of sympathy, however she is stubborn and can be very sensitive at times. She is kind to everyone and tries to find understanding in others to bond with them. She tries to keep her negative emotions hidden and away from others since she is terrified of accidentally harming someone.

Her physical appearance: She has paler skin for a medical reason I will list below. She has freckles and scars across her skin, the scars from many different things. She has dusty lavender colored eyes and brunette hair with flowers in it. She has Angel fang piercings and ear piercings and a round body type that’s chubby as her body type. She has two tattoos, a ankh representing a loved one on her hip and flowers that look like they are one with her body on her shoulder. She has a Greek nose as well. She is 5,4.

Some emotional/trauma/issues Cytherea has. (Tw: abusive parents, manipulation referenced)

Cytherea is a paradox in the UTMV. She basically exists despite it being impossible for her to exist. Since she technically was from another entire chain of multiverses and the creator originally put them in that chain of multiverses, then it means that since the creator didn’t write them originally in the Undertale multiverses then it would be impossible for them to exist in there. But Cytherea broke the laws of reality out of sheer determination if that makes sense! But she realizes that everyone has been made from something and that certain scenarios were created by creators and not all of them were natural. But she is uneasy around the idea of viewing everyone as characters, so she tries to ignore the creators and pretend like she is unaware of the creators.

She has issues with trusting to easy. Since her adoptive parents weren’t good people and treated her poorly, she trusts too easily when she feels loved and appreciated since she never gotten that feeling from her caretakers. It makes here very easy to control with beings like Nightmare.

She has BPD, Autism, and Anxiety. She has been mentally ill for a long time and is always trying her best to improve her mental health.

Whenever she formed and fused with the forgotten soul, the forgotten soul became apart of her, which made her soul have traits of the forgotten soul, which included integrity.

The flowers in her hair are apart of her body. She controls them and they sometimes even purr and hiss! They shoot poison at enemies.

Cytherea has a blood issue/condition which causes toxins to be inside her blood stream, which is kinda like venom or poison that are dangerous to others. This condition affects her abilities to do physical things like exercise or training like others (makes her slower or less active due to energy preserving) and her energy levels being extremely unstable. She has to take a treatment to remove the toxins in her blood every once in a while and has to rest for a bit at certain points of the day because of it.

ok i've decided i want to infodump about vee and nova a little after all! because uhh not only am i impatient because autism but i also. want to dip my toes into talking about this. just days ago i was still terrified but now i am Tentatively Brave... if i can talk about it here casually like this then i should be able to write a more formal summary later some other time

i've tagged this post appropriately (at least i think i have, feel free to suggest if i should add more) but also a heads up here too before i keep talking that while i'm not going into graphic detail on anything there are STRONG themes of organized sexual abuse of a child, sexual abuse of animals, and grooming! (there are no disturbing visuals in this post, just text)

takes a deep breath alright so the deal with these two. back all the way in 2021, i decided i wanted to make "vent ocs" as in i just wanted some concrete/consistent designs i could use in vent art drawings that weren't a direct reflection of what i envision myself to look like or whatever. i was going through a lot in 2021, in december 2020 i had just gotten my first big repressed memory back and my life was in a whirlwind of change and heavily increased PTSD and DID symptoms, so i was using art a lot as an outlet. in the end i settled on this drawing, based on the design taste i would have had as a young person (god the quality is so old now LOL i've improved a lot but anyway)

i was intending for these two to be just visual designs and nothing more than that but i got attached and actually ended up giving them a whole storyline and everything, which is something i admittedly hadn't done in a long time up to that point so that's cool.

the reason i preface explaining the premise of the storyline with this is because i think it's important to acknowledge that these two are intrinsically tied with my real life and the feelings i experience as a CSA/OA survivor. not because i think someone has to go through awful things to write or draw about them necessarily, but because i am passionate about expressing myself. it's important for me to be seen in some way, to be heard after years of silence. it is not safe for me mentally to share the exact details of my abuse online rn (and please don't ask for them!) but i also don't want these two to be removed from the message that i survived something and this is me making art about that in an abstracted and magical way with a fictional universe that brings me a lot of comfort. i hope this makes sense lol

oh and also with that in mind if you think for even a second any of this is a weird sex thing for me or some shit please stop reading this post and go do something else with your time. this is my trauma expression and i don't need to be compared to the people i was abused by when i was a literal toddler thank you!

AANYWAY so! premise! gonna be point blank with it! vee (not her original name but shh) is born as a normal 100% human girl, aka without the eevee ears and tail. she is groomed from a very young age (like, toddler age) and eventually abducted by her groomers which happen to be members of... well right now it's team rocket because i haven't spent the time to worldbuild a new villainous pokemon organization yet. roll with me here. she is taken to a remote facility out in the middle of fucking nowhere and is never returned to her previous life or family.

Why? well i'm glad you asked! the org is running a bunch of different experiments in this facility and one of them happens to be trying to enable humans reproducing with pokemon. this doubles as both a money thing and a power thing. they seek out a child as the victim of these horrible experiments because children are easily malleable. way easier to control a child than an adult who already has a firm identity/self.

vee is the child they chose. surgery is forcibly done on her to give her working eevee ears and tail, and also like, fuck with her body chemistry and stuff. she's biologically part eevee now. yes this is bullshit pokemon magic science LMAO but she is kept in this facility and chronically sexually abused for a few years by pairing her with various mons and trying to get eggs to happen.

the experiment isn't working though so they hypothesize that giving her a dedicated partner, especially of the same evolutionary line, would help, and they raise nova from birth as an eevee to take on that role. eventually the two of them are paired together. despite the acts they are forced to commit on each other and the abuse they endure, they actually become inseparable very quickly cause like. they don't have anyone else. and also they just genuinely care about each other. additionally at this point nova has evolved into an espeon and has telepathic powers, so him and vee can communicate linguistically with each other, so you know that helps

generally my current focus of this story is in the early years, when vee is 12 and younger, before they start realizing that shit is fucked up and they need to escape (up until that hypothetical point they have been successfully groomed into believing everything happening to them was not abuse/was normal). i have left out a metric fuckton of detail here just to get across the basic premise. i am constantly exploring vee's psyche, nova's psyche, it's like an in depth exploration of the mind of an abused child in horrific circumstances and god it's cathartic. i love these two so fucking much

btw i guess this art has more context now huh haha after i infodumped off the plot to my sister they looked at this art again and was like. OHHH THIS IS EVEN MORE OMINOUS AND HARD TO LOOK AT WITH CONTEXT. AND I WAS LIKE YEAH!!!! YOU SEE THE VISION!!! THE SYMBOLISM!! ETC!!!!

uh yeah if you read this far thank you and i just wanna say i've been building up the courage to talk about these two for GENUINELY two years, it has been over 2 full years since that initial drawing, and i am nervous and jittery posting this but i do not want to die without having shared my work with the world and i'm willing to take the risks to get my voice out there. so you reading it is very much appreciated ur like my first step into being more confident as a survivor lol

Relieved

So relieved after the Neuropsych assessment phone call yesterday. I had worked myself up so much. Baby boy went berserk at his last assessment. I thought the neuro was going to focus on that but he didn't even mention it. We are on the same page about everything. Very bright has a lot of trouble with hyperactivity and emotional regulation. He recommended some 2e schools and some other options. Already set up some phone calls.

No autism diagnosis. Which means he does not qualify for the DOE spot that would work :( Although the Nuero said the program would be perfect for him. Why they haven't started the ADHD version of the program I do not know.

He thought he would be bored at the ADHD school I found/liked. The ADHD schools I know about all have a focus on dyslexia or other learning differences that he does not have.

He's in the "grey" area for giftedness. The neuro assumed with some improvements in his ADHD symptoms his test scores would go up. I don't think he is what I consider gifted. I don't see him being interested in reading Shakespeare or solving algebra equations anytime soon. He's bright and puts things together quickly. His favorite saying for a good six months was "I have a good idea" but I don't see his intelligence as so intense that he can't be in a room with other neurotypical kids. Really 100% of his issues go back to the ADHD stuff.

My husband and I also agreed that if the report found he was cognitively delayed we would have dismissed the results. He could have easily gone in there and refused to answer any questions. Which means he doesn't like test/doesn't listen. It does not mean he is not smart or has a low IQ. I still believe IQ test for a four year is dumb. Maybe for any age. Just because he did well doesn't mean we are going to put too much stake in it. We already know he's bright. What level that is doesn't mean much. I am going to check out the 2e schools but suspect he's not a great fit.

He recommended PCIT therapy. We are willing to try anything. Can't hurt. Said medication will most likely be a need. Which we are def going to try. Just need to figure out the timing.

Bee also got a award for being a great student yesterday. The teacher specifically mentioned how much her behavior has improved. We had gotten some negative feedback about her talking too much the first few weeks. So glad that's worked itself out.

Rebel also got an award for being a great communicator/friend but she's a teachers pet type - so no surprise there.

The school is becoming a International baccalaureate school. Not exactly sure what that means. Apparently it includes a monthly awards ceremony where five kids in each grade get an award.

fuckin uh. zero g fantasy au. this has been brewing around in my head for a while and I’ve been meaning to draw it but I suck ass at designing and drawing fantasy outfits so I’m gonna share the thoughts I’ve had about it publicly in writing instead!!

Basically this all started when I was thinking about the sheer volume of zyronobu’s knight and princeisms and then I was like. what if they actually were a knight and a prince. ****epic autism explosion**** So essentially, Shinobu is a prince who is kinda bored and stuck doing basically nothing a lot of the time, just generally kinda cooped up in the palace. Zyro serves as his personal bodyguard, but is also kinda the head knight of the castle and has a lot of his own responsibilities, and the two of them are both crushing on each other SOOOOOO hard.

- one scenario I enjoy is Shinobu spending a lot of time on a particular balcony that overlooks the knights’ training area and he not-so-subtly frequently watches Zyro do his thing.

- In this au, Ren is also knight in training and takes a sort of apprentice/partner role with Zyro. There has been more than one occasion where Zyro has gotten distracted upon noticing Shinobu watching them/waving back to Shinobu while he and Ren are sparring and she gets really heated at him for not paying attention.

- Because they don’t really get to spend a lot of time together bc they have separate stuff going on, Shinobu ends up contriving a lot of reasons why he needs to go out and have Zyro accompany him. Zyro is entirely oblivious to Shinobu’s scheming but he is very happy every opportunity he gets.

For other thoughts I’ve had, Kite is like an alchemist/scholar and spends a lot of time in the castle library. Because he has nothing better to do, Shinobu also spends a lot of time in the castle library and bugs Kite. Kite hates this. One interaction I’ve had in my mind with them is kite being like “my prince, if you don’t mind me asking, WHY DO YOU KEEP COMING HERE AND BOTHERING ME????” and Shinobu’s like “because I have nothing better to do and you’re one of the only people on this palace who is willing to talk to me like that and treat me like a real person.” and kites just like. gfdi. He hates it (he really doesn’t but don’t tell him that he wouldn’t like it) (they’re besties don’t let them try to convince you otherwise).

I haven’t thought a ton abt eight and maru in this au but they are also there. Eight just hangs around kite per usual and perhaps causes mischief around the castle. Perhaps Madoka is a blacksmith who works closely with the royal family and Maru is her apprentice who hangs around the royal guard a lot.

There’s also a digivalen subplot because I will insert digivalen into any and every au I create. Kite one day goes out for supplies or whatever and encounters a mysterious traveling merchant. They present themself as any other merchant would, but kite can tell there’s something more too them. He senses that they may be a magic user, and a strong one at that, but he can’t get them to reveal anything to him. He’s intrigued though, and after their first interaction, kite just can’t stop thinking about her.

Another thought I’ve had with this au is how the main gang all kinda come together as an adventuring party. Shinobu once again asks Zyro to accompany him as he needs to go run some errands out in town, but Ren tags along, insisting Zyro’s been ditching her too much lately and she needs more experience. Kite also catches word of this, and since they’re gonna be out, insists upon tagging along so he may have an opportunity to meet with that merchant again, and eight naturally follows along wherever kite goes. Maru, seeing such an interesting group all together naturally tags along wherever her heart deems may be intriguing, and suddenly this is a whole group outing when Shinobu just wanted another excuse to go on a date with his cute knight.

The other og cast can also be here n there wherever you see fit. Benkei owns a popular local tavern in town, but he’s also a well renowned knight trainer. While Zyro serves as something of a captain of the guard, all of them, including him, answer to Benkei and he oversees all of their training and is their highest mentor. He’s also formally been a mentor to Kenta, the legendary knight of flame. Gingka too is a legendary knight, now on his own solo journey, and was originally the one to gift Zyro his sword and inspire him to become who he is now.

Tsubasa’s. probably around there somewhere. I guess king would fit as far as his role in the story goes but King Tsubasa just sounds wrong to me.

BUT WAIT, THERES MORE. Another subplot, because my favs are very special and get their own whole side story.

For many years across the land, there’s been a legend passed around, only heard about through rumors and hushed whispers. The details of it aren’t exactly clear, and the story is told differently by every person who tells it, but all anyone knows for sure is that there’s a dragon, a prince, a tower, and a curse.

Naturally, Takanosuke Shishiya, a scrappy young knight in training who’s looking for a mentor has taken from the legend that somewhere out there, there’s a prince who’s been cursed to reside in a tower guarded by a dragon, and he’s determined to rescue this prince in hopes of him potentially being able to help Takanosuke in his search for a mentor. You can imagine Takanosuke’s surprise when he believes he’s found the tower of the legend, only to find it with a giant hole blown through it, claw marks trailing down its sides with scorch marks around the destruction and in the land around it, which he notices create a path trailing beyond the tower.

Okay, perhaps a different adventure than Takanosuke had expected, but he still opts to follow the trail of burns in hopes of still finding the prince.

Eventually, he actually does, discovering Sakyo Kurayami, the cursed prince who as he declares, bears the curse of the jet black dragon. He is, as far as he knows, the only surviving member of his kingdom, as the curse overwhelmed everyone else, including his own family. The last person who was ever able to control the curse was the legendary dragon emperor, who no one knows the real fate of. Some say he died in battle, others say he just disappeared, but all anyone knows is that no one has seen or heard of him in years, and Sakyo has somehow inherited his blade. Now, Sakyo has set about on his own quest, trying to follow in the footsteps of the dragon emperor to try to learn how to control the curse (and maybe perhaps create his own future after a little more character development). Takanosuke insists upon tagging along with him, hoping the two can become stronger together, and while the adventure is off to a rocky start, fate always works in mysterious ways.

It's about a fairy named Oriana that has to take care of a forest but one day, while looking at the river, meets a fish who talks her into neglecting the forest, which causes a lot of trouble. Then, Oriana, has to learn how to repair the damage she made.

It's a book about responsibility, consequeses, the importance of individual action and learning from one's mistakes.

Património Cultural: Realidade Viva (Cultural Patrimony: Live Reality) by Guilherme d'Oliveira Martins.

It's a book about the preservation of patrimony in Portugal under the context of belonging in the European Union in the 21st century.

It's not a very interesting book nor scientific, just a summary of Portuguese and European laws for people who don't wanna read the laws (?). I wouldn't read it on my own but it's a mandatory read for one of my classes in my Master's so I gotta ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

I'm gonna opt to mention the game I'm currently playing (besides Bloons TD 6, but I'm always playing Bloons, so... not news), which is Heaven's Vault by Inkle!

It's an extremely niche game, focused on figuring out an ancient language and, with it, the history of the world it's set in. It envolves robots, space travelling, discussions on xenophobia and religious intolerence and a lot more. I haven't finished yet but I'm loving the experience so far!

I understand it's not for everyone but I'm loving it!! <3 (not a Mickey D's reference, fuck Mickey D's)

Why do I still love c!wilbur so much?

small essay type post to just gush about c!wilbur

One thing that always surprises me is why I stayed with c!wilbur

Before cc!wilbur even confirmed the allegations, I dropped him and lovejoy because it was becoming way too stressful and way more obvious it was him even though he had became a special interest and a huge part of my life

So why didnt I do the same with c!wilbur?

Better question, why couldn’t I?

Maybe it’s because back in March of 2022, my online friends had just stopped being friends with me a week prior. Specifically on March 17th 2022 (correct me if i’m wrong) the first stream that kick started the apology streams happened. I think that’s was what reignited my interest fully, since I had changed myself so much for my ex friends since they hated dsmp so much and it was basically my entire personality

It was also an outlet to interact with people, since these specific friends were my only friends at the time.

It was so nice to have a community of people who love the same thing I love. Making art, fanfiction, theories even songs. It was great and it was definitely one of the best times of my life (in the recent years)

The days leading up to the final were the greatest but also the most nerve wracking, esp since I wanted c!wilbur to have a good ending and basically not die

Waiting for the stream to start on Sept 3rd 2022 was so exciting, I remember sitting in offline chat just waiting for a fucking minecraft stream to start. Something I had never done

Now im not gna critique the ending in this post. I have my gripes with the apology tour in general but thats not what this post is about.

It was surprising to watch. Not what I had expected but it had its charm and I grew on it eventually. Going on twitter afterwards kinda sucked but it stopped eventually

The community was still going strong. Even if our favorite character is completely retired. The love and passion was still there, especially for me. It seemed like my love for c!wilbur just got more intense

After the dsmp ended and 2023 rolled around, thats when I noticed things kinda slowing down a bit. I know why of course. Loveshit was kicking off for William so its obvious why more people gradually moved on from the dsmp and fan content slowed down. Including me!

I wont go more into it but it was disappointing for me as someone who just couldn't move on from c!wilbur and the dsmp to see everyone on all the main platforms I used move on. Yeah tumblr was still active but I didn't use it as much back then

Then of course, the allegations came out

Im not proud of how I acted during the first night. You could say I was very very delusional and willing to make up excuses and drown out a victim all for some white guy I didn't know.

Thankfully, the next morning I came to my senses a bit and left, soon after joining everyone in just waiting for him to respond. Luckily I had some great mutuals on twitter and we were all there for eachother, even though I was the least affected since I was more mad at the fact I wasted years of my life on him than upset.

You all know how the story ends, he responded and everyone hated on him blah blah blah

but throughout all of that, I still stayed with c!wilbur. Not any other bursona. I cant engage with any of the other bursonas because they remind me too much of william, so why is c!wilbur different?

Well one obvious factor is my autism. C!Wilbur and the Dsmp is one of my biggest and longest lasting special interest so I dont think its going away for atleast 2-4 more years atp. Who knows maybe ill be 24 years old still yapping about a minecraft server that I liked when I was 11

I also think its because of the dsmp community on tumblr. Yeah the c!wilbur part has gotten understandably smarter but the people who have stayed are awesome and cool and so creative but most importantly strong

We have all been through it. From the allegations to the shit we get from outsiders for showing slight interest in c!wilbur and the dsmp in general.

I also see it as one massive fuck you to William. Taking his creation for ourselves then actively hating on him in the process. Shipping the ship he has gone on record to say its not canon is also pretty cool

So I guess I just want to say thank you. I could not have kept my interest alive if it wasn't for you guys continuing to create despite the creator being a degenerate. This stupid little character has single handedly kept my passion for creation and art going so strong. If you look through any of my recent sketchbooks most of the pages have him on it. I got into wrighting and reading fanfiction because of c!wilbur (and c!tntduo but we dont talk about the fanfictions ive read). My point is this character means alot to me so to all the remaining c!wilbur fans...

Dream eats lunch on the Doomsday grid

This is a squeal chapter to what I posted yesterday, could probably stand on its own.

Dream hums as he walks with Techno, keeping an eye out for Tommy. Punz could dissuade everyone else from bothering them, but Tommy was the definition of a wild card. He could decide that they were too strong together and stay away or he could try to puff himself up to prove… something. Dream doesn’t really understand Tommy. 

They are making an ‘impulsive, irrational decision that is going to get them killed’ according to Philza, but they’ve fought off the server just the two of them before, and that was without withers! They can use withers here.

“I can’t believe it’s been a year already. It feels like just last week we were gearing up for Doomsday,” Dream says, fiddling with his ring. 

“I know, yet here we are, celebrating our first anniversary!” Techno grins, flipping his braid over his shoulder. “I’m glad we are doing this instead of the stupid prison plan you came up with.”

“OKAY, I get it! Throwing myself in prison would have been a terrible idea, bla bla bla, you were right,” Dream rolls his eyes, not that Techno can see it. 

They both have gotten better with public affection that isn’t spurred on by adrenaline, but Dream hasn’t been comfortable with his face being out for most of his life. 

Dream thinks it’s an Admin thing. Techno thinks it’s a safety blanket. Phil thinks it’s a trauma response. 

Punz thinks that it’s a result of Autism, which both he and Techno didn’t even know existed until Punz had brought them a book on mental disorders and disabilities, with certain pages bookmarked.

It had explained a lot, actually. 

“Okay, here we are!” Techno throws a pearl, Dream following behind. They land on top of the grid. 

“Phil did a good job prettying this place up. I like the waterfall,” Dream comments as he walks along the obsidian. 

“Yeah, I still can’t believe this much Redstone has survived,” Techno looks around. “Where was that ledge again?” 

“Over here,” Dream starts to walk to the place where he had set up the control system and Techno had proposed. 

They brush off some redstone and moss, before laying their blanket down. Techno pulls out a meat and cheese tray and Dream pours them both some lemonade. 

“I love you,” Dream cuddles up to Techno, handing him his drink. “Thank you for not giving up on me.”

“I love you too,” Techno rumbles, plopping his head on Dream’s. “Thank you for staying by my side all this time.” 

They spend the rest of their anniversary lunch talking about nothing in particular, enjoying the view and each other’s company.

Crafting a silly Ninjago au!

Main changes to the main Ninja (plus Pixal) from shortest to tallest cus i can

Kai: half Serpentine like both parents(two half human half Serpentine parents), shortest ninja, still scared of water but also doesn't like cats too much. He's got a lot of burn marks, both from his power and because of blacksmithing. Bi, questioning identity but is still good with He/Him pronouns, just experimenting.

Cole: Short, fat(after getting more comfprtable with the others and not pushing himself to be all toned) and very strong. Has those marks he gets using his powers as scars on his arms, plus a handfull of scars on his legs and around his eyes from when he was a ghost! gay and demiboy(he/they)

Wyldfire: like Cole, she's heavy! She's more wild than the show, and while smart and learned math and such really easy from her nannybot, she would try to eat a phone if given one without explanation. Shes got entirely too many scars and freckles!!! "What's gender, I'm a DRAGON!!!"(doesn't care about pronouns, people default to She/Her and she doesn't care at all)"I like Roby only :3"

Zane: on the shorter side as his father did make him slightly shorter to be like a son and he doesn't want to change that, obsessed with birds and sometimes pirates cus autism, "He/Him usual but any work" agender, ace

Arin: About average hight and autistic (Ninja autism), and probably has the least physical scars of anyone! (Not changing him much from cannon) He/They, and still questioning

Jay: lanky ADHD idiot, better than everyone except Zane and Pixal with machinery. Has lightning scars going up his arms! Transmasc!! Calls himself a butch twink as a joke, and Bi!

Sora: neurodivergent in some way and otherkin!! Catkin, she's not sure which exactly but she's leaning towards a manecoon. She has 3 fingers, on her left hand(Pointer, thumb, pinky, other two are nubs), her whole right arm is a prosthetic, with the extra fingers and the arm made by herself! Also the headphones are also hearing aids she made as cat ears because of species euphoria! Lots of general scarring on her, mostly from her work on stuff. She/they lesbian!!

P.I.X.A.L.: Tall cus her father made her tall to help him as needed! Keeps her height as it is very useful and she finds it amusing being taller than Zane. "She/Her is fine, i go by anything" pangender, ace

Lloyd: intersex, sorta trans sorta cis cus he was assigned male a birth but has to bind currently (related to being part dragon in my au, dragons have a lot of E naturally), hides his secondary arms, tail, antlers, most of his tusks and ears when doing errands and stuff outside the group cus his tail has gotten pulled and run over several times. Has generally a lot of scars, even on his secondary arms. Man(no more elaboration), and questioning (he's mentally only a little older than Sora Arin and Wyld, give him time) He/anything BUT femme pronouns

Nya: See the first thing for Kai, tallest ninja(until Lloyd grows more), ends up getting antlers and new scales and a weird face and a mustache after Seabound :3 Bi and not cis(not sure) She/It

Bonus:

Wu: Half dragon half oni but leans a lot on dragon, and uses the Oni powers to help make him more human (Dragons can become smaller and bipedal but only adults and they still clearly look like dragons) secretly has a sweet tooth like his nephew, he's borderline a god and doesn't care for pronouns nor lables, but considers Pan to be the closest match

Garmadon: half dragon half oni but leaning on oni. after the SoG, and all that, then meeting Vinny, he slowly gets his "humanity" back, which is just him relearning how to be good. He's still half dragon half oni but when the SoG resurrected him, they somehow sealed the dragon part away for a while.

Also Misako is such a workaholic they eventually divorce cus like, no time for each other and then Vinny, the silly 30 year old with a basic job somehow scored a demi god because I am a sucker for monster x average Joe that makes them better

Vinny really looked at Garmadon and said "I can fix him" and didn't lie.

general stuff:

najeong are in their mid 30s (old to them) and jihyo just turned 30 (old to her)

jihyo is a traveling nurse (obv), jeongyeon is the head foreman of a construction company, and nayeon used to be an elementary teacher before her accident

najeong are high school sweethearts who got married pretty early (their early 20s) while nayeon was still in college. they both just kinda knew they were the one. and then when jihyo showed up, they knew she was also the one

they love each other so much it’s stupid

ok i’ll put the rest under a read more bc this post will probably be super long bc i rlly have. so much to say abt this au it’s crazy!!!! i rlly love the three of them so bad

as for appearances, i guess she’s like… imagine the futchest picture if jihyo ever but take away the boobs LMAO she hasn’t had surgery (she wants it, but it’s just a lot of recovery time) yet. she’s gotten some ffs, which was A Lot on her so she’s nervous abt doing anything else

she’s the shortest of the three- which pisses her off but najeong loves it abt her

she was much more femme when she first met najeong. but over time she became a futch- the clothes are just more comfortable. najeong don’t hold her to a single expectation when it comes to how she presents, so she doesn’t hold herself to one anymore either

she chose to take estrogen shots over pills because they were weekly. the pills were daily and she knew she might not always remember to take them. nayeon helps her with them now. jihyo isn’t scared of needles by any means, but she really appreciates having someone there with her. sometimes jeongyeon is there too, but her work schedule has her out of the house early so she’s not there all the time (as much as she wishes she could be)

jeongyeon:

she’s the tallest of the three. she has short hair- short on the sides but kinda long on the top (nayeon actually cuts it for her!). her skin is also pretty tan from working outside all the time. she’s also got a lot of scars from where she’s accidentally hurt herself at work LMAO she can be kinda clumsy. she’s got a stocky build, but it’s mostly muscle. she likes her tummy fat though. she calls herself a little bear

nahyo have to Fight her to put on sunscreen. she insists she doesn’t need it but they still force her to put it on every morning

she bathes like a man. uses bar soap on her damn face with no skincare routine. used to use two in one shampoo/conditioner before she met jihyo. but of course she’s the one with the best skin out of all of them

she likes to tease and play around a lot but it’s her way of showing she loves them

her love language is acts of service. she does most of the heavier tasks around the house. jihyo helps, too, but it’s mostly jeongyeon. she refuses to let nayeon lift a finger most days- and she was like that long before the accident. she can be that way with jihyo, too- but jihyo is so stubborn and will do shit even if jeongyeon insists she can do it

she runs hot. her body is so warm and she sweats so damn much that she has to take two showers a day (which is probably why, despite everything, her skin is so clear)

she secretly has been wondering about going on t. she’s always struggled with feeling a disconnect to her body (nahyo knows this), and she thinks being on testosterone would alleviate some of that. she’s perfectly okay with getting called masculine terms- in fact she kind of prefers them. her gender rlly is just butch, and she takes a lot of pride in it. but testosterone rlly appeals to her. this might get explored in a future fic!!

she’s never shaved a day in her life LMAO and that will probably never change. nahyo loves it about her. she has a natural happy trail

she can be bad about bottling her emotions up. usually she’s the “strongest” of the three- she rarely cries, and when she does it gets the other two worked up. her biggest flaw is that she struggles with communication sometimes. she doesn’t like being too vulnerable, but she’s working on it

she went to trade school right out of high school- she couldn’t afford college, plus she’s always liked working with her hands. she loves her job even if it’s hard. she has a lot of energy despite how much she uses every day

she wants to seem so tough and scary but rlly she’s a giant softie. only for her girls though. but she also isn’t afraid to get physical with anyone who threatens them. in high school she spent a lot of time in detention because she would get into fights over nayeon so often

nayeon:

i’d say she looks closest to how she did during more & more if you just added a few years of age on her, lmao. she keeps her hair at her shoulders. she looks good for her age though! a lot of people mistake her for being the youngest of the three

she’s partially disabled due to the accident. she’s actually on a form of disability because of it. she can’t stand for long periods of time without being in pain- her leg was broken so bad that they were even considering removing it if the surgeries didn’t go well. it basically had to be rebuilt. she still struggles a bit with mobility, especially standing up. sometimes she has to use a cane. her joints bother her when it rains, and she takes meds for it

she’s really scared of driving now. even though the accident wasn’t her fault and nothing could have been done to stop it, she’s still scared. so she stays home a lot. when she gets exceptionally stir crazy, the three of them will go out to the park that’s down the road from their house. since she’s still scared of cars, she only goes out if jeongyeon or jihyo is driving- after a lot of convincing

she’s been diagnosed with ptsd because of it, and she struggles with it sometimes. she has nightmares about it a lot

jeonghyo love to spoil her omfg. jihyo especially buys her a lot of gifts (jeongyeon lowkey hates gifts, but she shows her love in a lot of other ways). she is literally their princess- and she can be a spoiled brat but they adore that about her

she’s been considering doing online teaching again. since she recovered, she spends a lot of time at the house. she usually does the basic tasks- laundry, light cleaning, cooking. she’s the self proclaimed housewife and she really loves it! but she rlly misses teaching a lot

her love language is words of affirmation. she is very communicative, always telling jeonghyo just how much she loves and cares about them.

her meds make her a heavy sleeper. she nods off a lot without meaning to.

she was actually the one who noticed jihyo first. she had her eyes on her the entire night- kept talking about her to jeongyeon. they’d never done anything like it before, but when they saw jihyo, they knew they couldn’t let her leave without saying something. and we all know how that worked out

she loves singing. oftentimes she’s singing or humming to herself. she has a rlly pretty voice, and jeonghyo love to listen to her sing

she would actually love to have kids, but she never could. her and jeongyeon actually did try in vitro, but it ended as a miscarriage- which was how she found out she couldn’t have kids. it was hard for her. jeongyeon even offered to try and carry- but nayeon knew she didn’t want to, and didn’t want to put her through that. they’ve talked about adoption a few times. jihyo is up for it, but with her job it would be hard for her to always be present in their kids life. plus since nayeon’s accident, it would be even more difficult for her to raise a baby. now that they’re older, it’s more of a passing fun thought. for now, they’d love to get a dog or cat (which might also be a future fic)
