stelle and licorice hang out a lot since lico first broke into stelle’s observatory

at first licorice was supposed to help stelle with magic stuff (he gave him lots of validation and that’s probably why lico kept coming back)

 but they started spending time beyond that, and licorice started bringing him trinkets that remind him of stelle, and he keeps them in a special shelf

it’s actually the only really neat place in his workspace

Amir still dreams about her and their child. He also thinks about the garden they had. I like to think that every so often it'll ask Brimstone if it can go back to Morroco and take care of the garden. Of course, it's mostly gone. The house they lived in is pretty abandoned, and the plants are mostly wilted.

Except for one rose.

A flower that is growing in harsh conditions. Not even he knows why it's still alive. He's thought about asking Skye about it, but no. Too risky.

Nora always liked roses, they were her favourite flower. He even went as far as to nickname her 'Polyantha', a name he still thinks about on a daily basis.

Petyr didn't usually go into the roommate's bedrooms. Their place was the living room, kitchen, and any other common spaces. It was rare to see them anywhere but a dark corner.

This is why Neil was so startled to see them standing there, in the center of his room, after he returned from a nighttime trip to the lav.

"What are you doing here? Not, that, like, I don't want you here or anything. I'm not awful like the others. They're dreadful." Petyr nodded. "You're Petyr, right? Gosh, I should know that by now." 

Petyr nodded sullenly. At least, it looked sullen. It was hard to tell, what with the hair covering their face. Neil admired their stoicism.

"How come you don't talk?" Neil's question hung in the air of his room, and the only sound was a shrill screech coming from down the road. Probably the neighbors throwing things at each other again. Maybe their house would be demolished next.

Petyr shrugged and sat down on Neil's bed. Their feet somehow didn't quite reach the ground, and they gently kicked their legs. After a few moments, they stretched until their feet lay solidly on the ground. Neil sat next to them.

"Do you sleep?" Neil inquired. Petyr shook their head. "Good idea. It gives you cancer, you know. Can you get cancer? Like, I know you're human, and all, probably, but you don't seem really, well, normal." Neil anxiously tugged at his hair, not knowing if what he'd just asked would be offensive. His worry was met by an indifferent shrug. 

"I'm gonna check my horoscope for tomorrow. Which one's yours?" He pulled a newspaper from under his mattress with a faint squelch. "Just point."

Petyr reached a long finger and pointed at the current events section. 

"Huh. Far out." Neil smiled. "Well, I should probably get to sleep. Vyv says he has some new expiraments he wants to try out tomorrow, and it can't hurt to get some. Well, unless it gives me cancer, but I'll probably kill myself before then. Goodnight, Petyr."

He flicked the lights off, and Petyr disappeared. "Bye." Neil's farewell went unanswered, but possibly not unheard

homestuck was so perfect for autistic teenagers bc it took characters being sorted into categories and having Attributes to its absolute extreme. forget four hogwarts houses, every character has their associated colour their zodiac sign their associated animal their dream planet their god tier class and aspect their typing quirk their pesterchum handle their weapon their planet of x and y, as well as each of them having a handful of other very quantifiable Personality Traits and Interests (e.g. this one is a clown this one is angry this one likes fashion this one is just rufio from hook for some reason) and THEN they all also have their respective ancestors and dancestors(?)(plucked that word from my memory) who have all of those things as WELL

and god not to mention the fucking quadrant system

as a 13-15 year old autistic kid i didnt even need homestuck to have a plot i just happily made a big big spreadsheet of character attributes in my brain
