While working on some parent and merc art I had thoughts on whether or not to include headcanon parents for those who don't have any. And on that train of thought I realized that in the decade of me being into tf2 I don't think I've ever seen fic, art, or hc in which Medic had parents that he liked or got along with lol And I decided to be different in the most unhinged way possible and just go... "yeah he has two dads, yeah they're both weird scientists, yeah he's a test tube haunted slime baby, yeah his parents are Egon Spengler and Hebert West - the two pop culture icons he's heavily based off of" This is incredibly indulgent to nobody else but me lol - but now it's out there - and now this explains my personal hc that the medigun beam works like the proton stream in ghost busters, it locks into your soul

Every month or so I go through drawing withdrawal and I gotta draw who's important me like it's a quick hit ... like Heavy weapons the guy

Amidst the chaos and disappointments that encompassed my last two months, I had a fun connection about two of my favorite brain rot comics - you got an immortal(ish) with a harsh backstory who spirals into obsessive hatred that ends in the stealing of their obsession's bodies and subsequently haunt those family lines and those adjacent to them for generations - and I liken the Zeppelis, who shares the Joestar's generational curse by Dio/immortal creatures in general, to the Conaghers who I also see as helpers to the Mann line Its a really cool angle to look at Engie in, who since I was 14 was my least favorite character lol, this really elevated him for me

And so if the Manns are like the Joestars, that means like, Olivia Man is the equivalent of Joseph lol which is very funny to me

I dunno why Scout would care so much about whether or not they stay together (they're the teams rock😩)

She didn't even know what she was helping with, but she wanted to be by her side, until she learned how deeply personal and self destructive the whole thing was... and in the end there never was going to be a 'place' set for her :^(

So I guess until it’s confirmed it’s all alleged yknow? I don’t really have any reason to doubt it since the whole comic seven surprise also started with an email lol (apparently you can just email this man and he’ll respond to you lol, that being said I do not condone bothering the team please everyone)

It’s nice tho to have a lineup of names for everybody, save for those who’s character kinda rely on the mystery (pyro, spy, the administrator who might have even forgotten her own name after all this time 😭)

We’ve got Florence Pauling, Jeremy Willis, Jane Doe, Dell Conagher, Tavish DeGroot, Misha (… huh he’s the only one of the line up who doesn’t have a last name… maybe one more email is in order /JOKE/) Mick Mundy, and now of course, Herbert Ludwig

I’ve been here since Joseph and since Erik Fleisher dominated the space… and then I had to get used to Ludwig… and NOW Herbert - I think it’s very fitting btw I just have to emotionally adjust to this LOL

I’ll have to be saying this man’s name through clenched teeth and fists for a while…. Until they change their minds and change it again in a couple years lmao
