My own headcanons Part 1
Why didn't Gortash go looking for Durge after they disappeared if they were so close?
In their dialogue, he says they, as Chosen, cannot meddle in each other's works. Gortash couldn't just go personally straight into the Bhaalist Temple as a Banite, let alone as Bane's Chosen. Durge and Gortash were already named their god's Chosen, visited by Bhaal and Bane in their dreams, telling them to seek each other and Ketheric later on. So the Grand Design, the alliance between the 3 gods was already in motion.
My theory is Gortash actually tried looking out for Durge with the help of spies. We can see this note sitting on top of the table in front of him in his office above.
Tumblr media
In his dialogue with Durge, he says the Bhaal temple is a mystery even to him, so he really still doesn't know where it is. The first and most logical place to look for Durge after they vanish is of course the Bhaal temple.
One could interpret this note as if it is a very old one, in relation to pre-tadpole Durge, when Gortash was seeking an alliance with them. But as I said earlier, they both were visited by Bane and Bhaal in their dreams and in my opinion, knew how and where to meet each other. They were also told to seek out Ketheric, so they both had already met. Durge also calls Gortash "supposed chosen of Bane" in one of their earlier notes, still not trusting him completely, so to me it is illogical that Gortash would dare their first meeting to be in the long forgotten Bhaal temple.
In conclusion: I actually believe he was desperate to find Durge, given how close they were, how they had the same vision and "dream". I believe he was even irritated by Orin and Ketheric and his lovey dovey expression he makes, when he realizes "They live?" speaks for itsself. Also this is the moment when he finds out "Orin made a mess of" Durge and kinda puts the puzzle together.

HI HELLO! Welcome to my completely unnecessarily detailed analysis on how I think Inkfish languages could work! + with art! yay! This is all pretty rough and not fully fleshed out (I don't have the time or patience for that lmao). THIS IS A LONG POST.
Okay, so there's dozens of languages spoken by cephalopods in the Mollusc Era but the main two I'll talk about are Inkling (or Inklish) and Octarian, spoken mostly by Inklings and Octolings respectively.
Tumblr media
In cephalopods, speech is formed using the syrinx and larynx, two fancy vocal organs that most other species don't have together. The larynx makes sounds using the radula (tongue) and vocal folds in the throat, it's clear and pretty easy to understand as the sound itself resembles human speech, albeit warbled. The syrinx makes noise by vibrating air at the base of the trachea, it's often trickier to follow as it can sound more like droning background noise than words sometimes.
An inkfish can use both of them at once, resulting in an EXTREMELY complicated language system where words can be made up of multiple layered syllables, and several words and sentences can even be said at the same time.
As you can probably imagine, all of this is LITERAL HELL to learn for species who don’t have both a syrinx and a larynx (so basically anyone who isn't a cephalopod). But fear not! There are many simple and more inclusive alternatives, dialects and other cool stuff like sign language and instant TTS technology for people who physically can't pronounce Inkling/Octarian or even vocalise at all (eg. jellyfish).
Tumblr media
Both main Inkfish languages can be broken down into laryngeal words (made with the larynx), syringeal/drone words (made with the syrinx) or a combination of both, called dual-toned/layered words.
Keep in mind that both word-types can be spoken at the same time. Layering can be used to add additional connotations to a word, or to even make a new one entirely. For example, the laryngeal noun ‘bird’ combined with the syringeal noun ‘metal’ spoken together will create the layered Inkling word ‘aeroplane’, like a compound word in English.
Tumblr media
Dual-toned stuff is more common in Inkling than in Octarian, as the language is older and has more loanwords. Inklish's dependence on the larynx gives it a higher-pitched, clearer sound whereas  Octarian's more monotone syrinx-based structure results in a deep, almost guttural sound.
Both cephalopod languages are heavy on tone and pronunciation, resulting in a plenty of accent indicators in written scripts. I used the in-game fonts for the art but if I were to rework it, each letter would probably be more complicated than traditional Mandarin on steroids. So hell on earth, basically.
On a side note, all of these language features open possibilities for some very cool poetry and literature. An inkfish author could write a poem with two lines of thought occurring at once, or a book with vivid emotional undertones written inside the prose. Pretty cool.
OKAY that's all I have to say thank you for reading! Hopefully this makes sense, feel free to send asks or whatever if it's confusing and I'll do my best to explain it better!

I finally had the chance to watch the Boston panel.
and I'm starting to think that a lot of you either haven't watched it yourselves, or were so set on specific opinions you personally have, while also having clear expectations of what their answers will be, that with their answers (or what are talked about as their answers) made you so unhappy that now you're just bashing them; especially Hugh.
why, though? none of the things I've seen people complain about were actually said like that or fully implied. so... what? doesn't make sense to me why some of you are so upset about this panel. it was so much fun and just lighthearted entertainment. panels like that are the reason these things exist and are usually so much fun in the first place.

So I was watching ninjago (surprising, I know) and call me an idiot but i just noticed this.
As a kid, I always wondered why the ninja were so colorful. Like, how is this guy dressed in pure white supposed to hide in the middle of the night? And don't get me started on red, which blends in just about nowhere.
It just hit me: What if they weren't MEANT to hide everywhere?
They're meant to blend in with their elements.
Kai, Jay, and Cole don't blend in with the snow. But they aren't meant to.
Zane, Kai, and Jay don't blend in with caves. But they aren't meant to
Cole, Zane, and Kai don't blend in with the sky. But they aren't meant to.
Jay, Cole, and Zane don't blend in with lava or fire. But they aren't meant to.

Why I think Eddie Diaz is autistic !
(As an autistic individual)
- Struggle with emotional expression:
He often struggles to express emotions, particularly in his relationship with women, (look at the way he acted with Sharon, Ana and Marisol, never communicating clearly, or doing it VERY straightforwardly (-> “you should go”)
He struggle with articulating his feelings, to name his emotions and process them (seemingly alexithymia) and he close off a lot, even with his therapist !
- Literal Thinking:
He tend to interpret language literally, (interactions with his colleagues and fast problem-solving, keeping a cool head under very stressful situations, the way he react to jokes, the way he doesn’t believe and ‘judge’ the way they fear superstitions, only believing what he can prove)
It seems to me like he experiences challenges with understanding figurative language or sarcasm and only believe what is proven, he’s very closed off about the idea of superstition which can be seen in some autistic people who struggle with theses concept
And he can be really straightforward (see the “you should go home Ana” or the “last time he wore that was at his mom’s funeral”) -> stating facts straightforwardly without processing it first and without realizing how stating it like that can be ‘awkward’ to others
- Meltdowns and Coping Mechanisms:
He experiences moments of intense frustration and resorts to unhealthy coping mechanisms (-> fights and destroying his room, hurting himself and other in the process (as in a lot of autistic meltdown and the way a lot of us turn to violent coping mechanisms to fight against sensory overload and the complexity of understanding our own emotions -> resorting to violence)
He parallels experiences of sensory overload and regulation, also his panic attacks and the way he avoid addressing his trauma and feelings by brushing it off and ignoring his own mental health, struggling to understand his own feelings about what he’s experiencing
- Difficulty with Trauma and Normalcy:
His reluctance to address trauma and persistent efforts to appear "normal."
It reflects challenges faced by autistic ppl in processing traumatic experiences and blending in with neurotypical society (force conformism and such)
There’s something about the way he and his father approach emotions, keeping it hidden and close off, that resonates a lot with my own experiences as someone autistic raised by someone who’s (probably) autistic too ‼️
+ the way he quickly connect with Buck exemplifies the ‘neurodivergent link’ : ADHD and autism solidarity is a reality ! Neurodivergent people tend to feel more secure, comfortable and friendly with other neurodivergent individuals!!
He basically just give such a autistic energy, like- I really connect with his struggle and the way he interact with the world around him, but please tell me what YOU think 🫶‼️
To have a better view of this part of him we would need more of his pov, sadly we rarely get it so I’m basing this of what I remember, what I personally see in him, what I connected with :’D
(Keep in mind that I probably projecting and it’s just an headcanon, not hate please <3 constructive criticism is welcome tho !!)
Credits it to @thisonemaniac that helped me make this post :D !! We talked about it a bit, I highlighted in orange what he remind me off ‼️
(Since you asked me about it you might want to read this :D !! I explained it better I think xD @lesbianphoebespengler )

When it comes to TSAMS opinions/headcanons/theories, what’s a hill you’re willing to die on?
👏
Thank you for this question! Time for a little controversy
Opinions
1.Monty x Earth is the best ship in the show. Don't @ me
2. The Astrals do more harm than good
3.(Not really tsams related, but) Funtime Foxy and Freddy Fazbear are an underrated duo. I love when they interact
Theories
1. All the shows/the whole universe is stuck in a timeloop
2. Dark Sun is Cetus
3. Atlas is Dark Sun in disguise
Headcanons
1. Whenever Nexus commanded someone to kneel, purple chains would form around them and force them to the ground.
2. Jack sometimes sleeps outside Dazzle's room like a guard dog
3. Monty loves to hug Earth's hair (That stuff is stinkin' soft!)
4. Moon is more of an Iron man fan while Solar was more of a Batman fan and Nexus/New Moon was also a Batman fan
5. Earth and Sun both get very deep into role-playing games (D&D, Fallout, Skyrim, etc.. etc)
6. Puppet both loves/hates small spaces. Loves cause it reminds her of her old box she used to sleep in and hates because it also reminds her of being trapped in Lefty
And lastly 7. (TRIGGER WARNING S#idcie mention)
I do still think Sun is/was/probablystillis a little suicidal. I'm sorry you can not tell me that the whole "sometimes I wish I was dead" line didn't mean anything. I do think Sun WAS suicidal but now he's gotten better, but after everything that's happened recently.... I wouldn't be surprised if he was thinking some rather morbid thoughts again.
I know Davis said him and the others would never do anything talking about or doing anything with a character committing suicide but I still have this headcanon.
BONUS! 8. Eclipse is an Eminem fan
@br41nr0t-101 Thank you SO MUCH for asking this question! Rock on!

In light of the fact that Bucky (Loki and Thor too for that matter, since the Chrises, Tom and Seb have all aged past their characters) should pretty much still look like he did in CATFA in-universe, it's hilarious to imagine Sam slipping up one day and calling Bucky "kid" without thinking and it's mortifying for them both. Sam has a whole list of old man jokes from his time with Steve that he now gets to reuse on Bucky, except goddamnit Bucky pretty much rebuilt his personality after a factory reset from breaking conditioning so the illusion of being old breaks down easier than it did with Steve, his sense of humor is eerily close to genz/clearly influenced by Princess Shuri, and sometimes when Sam is distracted by something else, he does let "kid" drop like he does with Joaquín.
Bucky looks disturbed because Steve probably keeps accidentally calling him "son" and "kid" during their meet ups too, since there's a strong chance he has grandkids that look Bucky's age, and now Sam's doing it as well, he's in his 100s what the hell is going on? Meanwhile this is, based on a calculated estimate on the serums aging rate, what he looks like in-universe:

I personally find it kind of hard to believe that Elise and Hunson were ever a couple, it doesn't make any sense to me, I just can't see these two in love.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So, what if Marceline wasn't always a demon? What if Elise got pregnant from a regular human, but the guy left or died or something, and Elise's pregnancy was a risky one, or Marceline was born as a human but got really sick, so Elise found out about Hunson and made a pact with him to save Marcy and he did it with the condition that she would become his successor and that's how he became her father?
That would be one way to explain why she got so scared when she saw Marceline using her powers.
Tumblr media
Also, Marceline was raised in a trailer appearently in the middle of nowhere, and when they show the pictures of her and her mom at the beach there seemed to be no one around either, so I guess it's not far fetched to say that Elise kept Marceline somewhat hidden from people (probably for their own safety).

TW: mentioned past homophobia (steve's dad), steve uses the q slur to refer to himself once (quoting his dad), this is a happy ending i promise y'all
When Steve sent the invitations, he never expected his parents to actually attend. He never expected them to actually see the envelopes, even. It had been a fleeting moment of impulsivity that had led to him sending them at all, figuring it would be better to get the hurt out of the way before the ceremony came and passed without either of the people who gave him life in attendance.
And yet, when the wedding ceremony was over and the party was starting, he saw her.
His mom.
She wasn't sitting in the front row of chairs where the rest of their family was. Eddie had tried to convince Steve not to leave two chairs open beside Wayne for his parents, but he needed to see it for himself. Those empty chairs needed to be front and center, a reminder that the only people worth caring about were the ones filling their assigned chairs. Steve's mom wasn't sitting in hers, but she was there, stood in the very back where Hopper was keeping watch over the whole thing, daring anyone who disagreed with the scene to get anywhere near them.
Maggie Harrington wasn't dressed as prim and proper as she could've been, the only way Steve had ever seen her. No, today she was in a simple sundress, hair flying wildly around her shoulders in a way that reminded him with painful clarity of where he'd gotten his appearance from. The same brunette waves, the same doe eyes now staring at him like she'd never seen anything so wonderful and terrible before.
Even as everyone got up from their chairs to convert the outdoor space into the after-party, she stayed at the edge of everything, exactly as she'd been on the fray of his life since he'd left Hawkins at 19 and never looked back.
"Go talk to her," Eddie spoke, notching his chin over Steve's shoulder from behind, wrapping his arms around his middle and interlocking his fingers over Steve's belly.
"I don't know what to say." Visions of the night he'd left flashed unbidden in Steve's mind—all the shouting from his dad, the crying from his mom, him begging his mom to say something, anything. Eddie picking him up from Robin's house after he'd called, promising they could go anywhere they wanted. They'd left for Chicago the same night, and Steve had never looked back.
"Hi is a good start," Eddie teased gently, pressing a kiss to Steve's jaw before stepping back from him. "You can do it. I'll be over with Gareth and the others when you're done."
It was Eddie's quiet support—his husband's support—that pushes Steve's feet to action. Before he could begin to think of what to say, he was standing in front of her. There was too much to say, nothing at all that could rise to his lips, so he said the first thing his mind could supply.
"You didn't RSVP."
His mom winced, hands raising then stopping, fingers clenching as though she physically stopped herself from touching him. "I know, Steven, I know. I'm sorry."
This was too much. It was all too much and Steve wished he'd never sent the invitation, that he'd just listened to Eddie's fucking advice because he always seemed to know Steve best, better than even himself. "Most people RSVP for events. It's the polite thing to do, proper etiquette and all. You taught me that."
"Steven, please," his mom tried again, voice wobbling enough that some of the anger began to leech out of him. And that, well that made him more angry. What right did she have to show up on the happiest day of his life? To choose now to make him confront everything he'd fought so hard to forget? "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry for everything. I want my son back."
"It took you five years to realize you missed me? That's really great, Mom, we should really give you the Mother of the Year award for that one."
"Steven," his mom finally snapped, and again her expression could have mirrored his own, that familiar flash of uncontrollable anger and hurt across her eyes before it was reined back in to a disquieted coolness. "I am trying. I am doing the best thing I can to be the mother you needed back then."
"You think I wasn't trying?" Steve's voice was eerily calm, an even-tone that clashed loudly with the tears beginning to blur his vision. "Do you think I didn't spend my life trying to be the son you wanted so badly? I did everything perfect, exactly what you and Dad expected and it still wasn't enough. It would never be enough, not once you found out what I am, right? The sports were fine, and the friends, and even retaking my SATs so I could go to college, but none of it could ever make up for the queerness could it?"
"Steven, stop it," his mom begged, tears falling down her own face now. They were drawing a crowd in the way his fights used to in school. No one was outright staring, but all of them lingered nearby, ears turned to listen, eyes glancing by every so often to catch the scene. He'd like to think they were waiting for him, waiting to see if they needed to step in.
"Oh, I'm sorry, how could I forget Dad's exact words? It's fine if I don't act on it, if I find some woman I don't love and settle down. It's fine if I become like the two of you, marrying for reputation and making my kids fucking miserable."
That did it for his mom. He could see the moment the switch flipped, when the tears turned into something harder, more focused. "Steven, I did not come here to be berated. I came to apologize, for everything."
And that, well, that was new. Harringtons don't apologize.
"I shouldn't have let your father say all those things, I shouldn't have let you leave. I didn't...you can't understand, but I was scared," she tried, reaching out for his hand and wincing when he took a half-step back to evade her touch. "But losing you, not knowing where you were or if you were happy...that was the worst thing to ever happen to me, Steven."
"Good," Steve forced out through the tears, though he's not sure he believed it. He wasn't sure what he believed. "You should've said something then, not five years later."
"I know, I know that, and that is going to weigh on me for the rest of my life. But Steven, Steve, let me try again, please," his mom begged, and God he wanted to tell her to stop because Harringtons don't beg, they demand, but she kept going and going and it reminded him of himself. "It took me too long but...I got there. I'm here. I'm here, Steve, and I promise I'll try to be the mom you always deserved. I understand we can't get that time back, we can't have what it should've been from the beginning, but please, I want to see my baby's life."
Steve wanted to yell at her. He wanted to scream and throw something and tell her to get out. He wanted to spit every vile word he could come up with at her, to make her hurt the way his dad had made him hurt. And yet, this was everything he'd ever dreamed out, all those nights when he'd cried in Eddie's arms for his parents, for them to see the life he'd built for himself.
"I can't just..." Steve sighed, looking up to the sky as if the clouds might provide him with an answer. "I can't trust you, right away. I need time, Eddie'll need time he...he's pretty protective, you know."
"Good," his mom answered, pulling a small, tearful laugh out of Steve. "You deserve to have someone looking out for you like that."
"Do you..." Steve sighed, fighting the urge to mess with his hair lest Nancy kills him for it. He glanced to Eddie, seeing him with his chin tilted back as he laughed joyously across the space, hand gripped around a champagne glass. "Do you want to meet him?"
The smile that warmed his mother's expression was worth all of it. Steve had never seen her so open, so emotional. Maybe she really had changed, really come to every realization he'd wished she'd made five years ago.
"I'd like that very much."
It would take time. There would be good moments and bad, some where Steve wondered if any of it would work out and some where he'd laughed with his mom more than he ever had as a kid. Slowly, not-so-gracefully, they found a way to make it work. She came over for weekly dinners with him and his husband (who asked more than once if her pull in the Indiana statehouse could get them an official license), she called once a week and asked about his friends, his studies, the kids he worked with at his job.
And before Steve could even blink, he had his mom back.

My theory on Summer being like Diane:
Summer is NOT like Diane actually. When it comes to a decent amount of traits, at least
The idea that Summer is like Diane is because Summer is someone Rick can rely on NOW. It's that she allows him to stay in a personal space
Shout-out to @rez-urrection for an amazing post about Morty that motivated me to make this post on Summer
Tumblr media
GoTron as an episode shows how Summer pushes Rick to continue his habits and Morty doesn't. Their conflicts usually include Summer telling Morty he's being lame for not encouraging Rick. Episodes like "A Rickconvenient Mort" show that Rick makes Summer tag along so he doesn't stop his high
Tumblr media
I also will mention this scene. Summer asked for a beer and Rick obliged.
Tumblr media
So...gonna use these two episodes and moments to prove a point. Rick sees 'a' Diane, not Diane. He wants someone who can save him and help him return to his roots. Him getting Summer a beer isn't just him not thinking. It could be that he doesn't want to say no to her. He's ignoring that she's 17 and got her a beer. It sort of reminds me of how Diane drinks so much...
What we know about Diane comes from Morty's view in the fear hole. But it still matters! Morty is pushed aside in favor of Summer most of the time
Tumblr media
This is literally an earlier episode where Rick lets Summer drink beer as he parties along. It's one where we see the pain that Rick harbors too. Bird Person has known him for so long so it's always mattered
I think Rick is glad that Summer sees him as a cool grandpa. However, it means he wants to stay in a comfortable state that emulates the happiness he had with Diane. What we SEE about Diane came from Morty's view, who's been affected by the Rick and Summer antics consequences. That's how she's like Diane - someone close to Rick who kept him anchored

Can best jeanist control sheep? I mean he controls fibers but what makes it qualify as a fiber rather then just like sheep wool or like synthetic fibers how does that work if he tried do you think he could control like all plastic stuff or does it have to be string shaped? TLOZ fan theory: I can't remember where I saw this one way back when, or all the exact details, but the theory that the Twili in Twilight Princess are very distant ancestors of the Gerudo. Specifically in that all twili we see are red headed, the mirror of twilight is located in the Gerudo desert, and all "evil" magic using Gerudo in the series are Gerudo who have cooler skin tones like the twili do (Twinrova and most iterations of Ganon/dorf).
Not necessarily submitting this following "theory", but after totk came out I tried to make a theory board about this theory and connecting the Zonai to the Sheikah (strong magic, white hair, third eye imagery), the Sheikah to the twili (red eyes, strong magic, history of getting banished), and the twili to the half Zonai champion of old (long pointed ears, blue skin, patterns on skin, red hair), but I just had a lot of seemingly interconnected dots and no solid theories to conclude lol. I will say tho imo it's fun to consider everything being connected in a whacky web like that.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm combining these as they fall into the same category of theories, but I gotta be honest... I don't enjoy these theories, especially when they involve the Gerudo. To me, it's uninteresting trying to connect two races over something, or in the "Groose theory" case, a single person to a group of people. With that one, I can argue that the word Gerudo already existed through that Dragonfly you capture in SkSw. When I realized the parallels the Zonai have to the Sheikah I made a loud groan cause it just completely strips away what made the Sheikah interesting in BotW. The Twili one I can't see the vision aside from the points that you mentioned, but like I said. It makes it so uninteresting I wish the lore of the Gerudo could stand on its own to have interesting worldbuild.

Hornet/Broken vessel theory time!
So actually this is the backstory for the broken vessel and how it came to be, in the 'new Hallownest' story/fic my sisters and I have been working on.
also a big part of Hornet's backstory! (Specifically in relation to her hunting the vessels)
Tumblr media
Before Hornet started challenging the escaped vessels to test their strength. (Which she did to prepare them for potentially facing the Hollow knight/the Radiance.) her original plan was to use them to contain the infection without having to break the seals/kill the Hollow knight.
The first escaped vessel she encountered was Kin, who was used in this plan. The plan being that if this vessel could purposely allow itself to take in the infection, and it was truly empty, unlike Hollow, it could at least somewhat contain the radiance (or at least keep her from gaining more power.)
Hornet believed Kin must have been pure, and untainted. (But of course no vessel could actually be..)
Kin agreed to help Hornet, because it wanted to help Hollow. (Kin is especially protective of all the vessels. A leader to a group who escaped the abyss, and we're almost all killed by Nosk.) a very protective and emphatic vessel, Kin was not able to contain the infection.
(And it being infected is what caused the infection to spread in the ancient basin. Which was too close to the abyss to otherwise have been affected.)
Upon learning that the Radiance had taken full control of the vessel, Hornet was forced to fight it. Kin was defeated, and Hornet had to come up with a new plan.
The next vessels she encountered (such as Greenpath vessel) she decided could still be used to save Hallownest, but must either completely take Hollow's place, or what she preferred and believed to be the best option, unite the void and destroy the infection once and for all. Either way they would have to face the Hollow knight, and she fought them each to test whether or not she believed them to be strong enough. Because if they were to face Hollow and be killed, it would be putting the entire kingdom in much worse danger.

I feel like Furina and Faruzan use extensions, that's my current theory.
They both have a short, almost shoulder length hairstyle and then two long, extended parts just kinda…morphing out of it? It looks like the pigtails are separate entities:

What I'm saying is they match!
Anyways, they do their hair together every morning and they have a section of the bathroom for storing all their ponytails and pigtails.💙
