Some say it is a "weaker" album as certain songs are fairly slower than in their other releases, but maybe that's exactly why it hits me differently. I @¢!*#%$& love this album to death, and personal favorites include: "Sweet Revenge," "Sharpshooter," "Stone Dead Forever," "All the Aces," "Step Down," and that killer title track, of course.

Corroded Coffin releases its first deluxe album in 2023, featuring the explosive single "Love On Fire." When asked about the influences behind the record, the band cites a mix of classic rock and heavy metal, namin: Yes, The Beatles, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, and Styx as major inspirations.

Also, sage is an interesting choice, considering the symbolism of burning sage across different cultures. Also, if it's so cold, sir, pull those sleeves down! Goodness.

To those who are confused as to where and how to buy OldXian's new artbook and merchandise, let me try to break it down for you.

A few days ago, OldXian announced the pre-sale of their new artbook which comes in two versions.

Variant A (regular) includes: - the new artbook - a poster - 2x postcards

Variant B (deluxe edition) includes: - the new artbook - a poster - 2x postcards - 4x buttons - a shishiki board - a sticker sheet - a 24 page booklet

Furthermore there's two new acrylic standees which can be purchased separately. A tianshan and a zhanyi version.

The cost of these items is as follows: Artbook (version A): 89 Yuan [roughly: 13 USD | 12 Euro | 10 GBP] Artbook (version B): 189 Yuan [roughly: 27 USD | 25 Euro 21 GBP] Acrylic Standee: 49 Yuan (each) [roughly: 7 USD | 7 Euro | 6 GBP]

But if you have trouble creating a taobao account or your country isn't on the (very short) taobao shipping list [China, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand] then you have several other options to get your hands on these new items.

1. You could use aliexpress, koonbooks or any other China-based shopping app/website to buy these things from a 3rd party seller.

Now, keep in mind that these sellers obviously want to make a profit, so you will pay more than in the original taobao shop. However, on the plus side, they usually offer free shipping, which is nice considering that items like artbooks are heavy and shipping costs are based on weight, so if you pay over, some of that money also goes towards covering the shipping costs, which is not bad.

The risk of ordering with such a website is obviously that the independent seller could turn out to be a scammer and keep your money and not send you the goods. I have no idea about koonbook's policies, however in the case of aliexpress you are at least protected by such practices and should you not receive what you paid for, you will be refunded and get your money back.

Also keep in mind that the artbook and merch is still in production at this point! But Old Xian said the merch will be shipped out BEFORE May 20th. That's less than 4 weeks from now.

That being said - in some cases the merch will be cheaper on aliexpress after official ship-out, because there will be more people offering it, competing for best prices.

However there's obviously also a risk that the deluxe edition will sell out before that or that these re-sellers only ship the artbook itself with none of the extras.

The other option you have is using a taobao shopping agent. If you google that, you'll find dozens of websites offering their services. I myself have used parcelup, 42agent and superbuy before. Here's links to all of them: https://www.superbuy.com/ https://parcelup.com/ https://www.42agent.com/ What all of these agents have in common is that you need to create an account BEFORE you can start searching and shopping. All you need for that is a valid email address. I'll show how it works with superbuy screenshots here. After you signed up, you can copy the taobao-link I gave you earlier and paste it into the search-field.

What will come up is an embedded view of the taobao listing where you can pick which variant you want and then add it to your shopping cart.

Once you have added everything you want, click on the shopping cart and simply follow all further payment instructions.

They will also ask you if you want them to keep the original packaging or if you want them to remove anything unnecessary and repack everything in order to make it weigh less so shipping will be cheaper. It's up to you. You will then be asked to pay for items, domestic shipping (so mosspaca studios can ship the goods to your agent's warehouse) and in some cases a service fee. For example, superbuy has no service fee, however they stopped offering paypal as payment method recently so you'd need a credit card or other online methods to pay for your order and everything. Parcelup, however, still offers paypal, but they also charge service fees. (They are fairly low though, if you ask me.) So after you paid for your goods, they will order the items for you and then you'll have to wait about 4-5 weeks for them to arrive, because keep in mind - like I said earlier - everything is still in production and Old Xian aims to ship everything out before the 20th of May. There's hundreds, if not thousands of parcels arriving to all agent's warehouses every day, so it will take them a few days to sort through things after your order arrives. You need to be patient!! They will get back to you with pictures of your order, trust me. When this happens you need to look at the pics and if everything is okay, you can reply to them to proceed. You will then be presented with shipping quotes. Usually they offer more than one shipping method and some are tracked, others are untracked, some will take only a week or two until they arrive at your doorstep, others will take 6 weeks or up to two months. Choose wisely which method you want and consider what is in your budget. (Obviously fast shipping with tracking is more expensive than slow shipping without it, however personally I'd always recommend a tracked service.) Just to give you an estimate on what to expect when it comes to international shipping - parcels with that amount of merch and weight, will always cost me about 50 USD or more to ship from China to the UK, where I live. (So keep that in mind before you order. International shipping is very expensive!) But once you picked a shipping method, you pay for it (that's your 2nd payment) and once they have processed that - your goodies will be on the way to you within a few days. And that's it. Sit down, eat your food and wait patiently for it to arrive. If you have further questions, just plop them into the comments and I'll try to answer them.

In 2024, the DELUXE edition would be released featuring one new song: EVERY HOLIDAY. The tradition started in 2017 when Salem, Oliver, and Minjae released SNOW SONG on December 12, 2017 as a gift to fans. Since then, the members have gotten together to write an original song or created a new cover to publish around the holiday season. Unlike their usual releases, these songs are never promoted and are considered "demos" by fans because they never made an official album. Despite being released on December 27th, MERRY CHRISTMAS, PLEASE DON'T CALL was one of the best selling albums of 2023 in South Korea and was almost universally praised for the lyricism and instrumentals. It was also praised for showing how far Moth Signals had come since their

❅ ◠ ﹒ TRACK ONE: SNOW SONG ( 2017 ) was written and produced by park jueun, lee minjae, and oliver song. snow song would set the precedent for every other winter single as it depicts feelings of emotional heaviness, isolation, and sinking into a deep despair. the speaker compares their emotional state to a frozen lake, as though they are slowly dying inside represented by the breaking of their knees and swelling of their breath. there's a disconnection from the world and their emotional weariness as they acknowledge their own flawed timing, perhaps missing opportunities or mistakes. the world is worn and depleted with nothing else for them as they sink to the bottom of the sea. about the song, salem would say: "all of us grew up with less than happy feelings so writing a sad holiday just came easy to us. i hope that everyone else can find comfort in snow song like we did."

❅ ◠ ﹒ TRACK TWO: IF WE MAKE IT THROUGH DECEMBER ( 2018 ) was originally performed by merle haggard and was covered by moth signals in late 2018. unlike haggard's version, this is completely stripped down to bare minimum instruments and salem's vocals. similar to their previous release, snow song, if we make it through december was released to give their fans suffering through the holidays something to be excited about even if the song dealt with the coldest and most challenging part of the year. the overall story in the song focuses on a person that was laid off from their job at the factory and the different circumstances they face during the holiday season. the song touches on people that need to work just to survive and how difficult is it to raise a child in those conditions. the song was chosen by guitarist serin just two days before the cover was released and was rushed to be put together as they worked on other projects at the same time.

❅ ◠ ﹒ TRACK THREE: THE LAKES ( 2019 ) was written and produced by park jueun and oliver song, but performed solely by jueun. the lakes focuses on finding an escape from the pain and sorrow of daily life in the beauty of nature. salem and oliver were inspired to write the single after spending a day hiking after the second snow in south korea in 2019. they want to find solace in a beautiful region surrounded by poets who have gone there to die. as their fame rises, they want to be freed from "namedropping sleazes" and have time to reflect on the things that are hurting them. salem and oliver use the idea of bathing cliffside with her love and grief as they watch auroras of sadness, trying to find a way out of painful circumstances in order to cope with their new lives.

❅ ◠ ﹒ TRACK FOUR: WHITE WINTER HYMNAL ( 2020 ) was written, produced, and perfomed by oliver song and lee jiyeon. white winter hymnal deals with the beauty and innocence of childhood, showing the loss of innocence one experiences as they learn more about the world. the narrator compares their friend to a white winter hymnal, or a religious song of praise for a deity, with his red scarf representing the life of the world and the beauty of summertime. with michael, oliver and jiyeon want the listener to reflect on the joys of childhood and embrace their youth. despite having nothing to do with actual winter time and instead yearning for summer, white winter hymnal is beloved by fans and often used to post fun memories on social media. the members even joined in on this trend in 2022 as they posted their favorite memories to Instagram featuring the song in the background.

❅ ◠ ﹒ TRACK FIVE: FROM THE DINING ROOM TABLE ( 2021 ) was written, produced, and performed by oliver song. it's all but confirmed that this was written and recorded solely by oliver during his hiatus in 2021. from the dining room table is an emotional ballad all about longing for and missing someone who is no longer in his life. the lyrics describe his struggles with feeling alone and disconnected from the person that he cares about, despite being surrounded by people. he reflects on the comfortable silence between them and the fact that they other person never calls. he looks back at the would-have-been moments and expresses his grief and frustrations throughout the entire song. he particularly emphasizes he person he used to have and used to be.

❅ ◠ ﹒ TRACK SIX: CHERRY WINE ( 2022 ) was written and produced by park jueun and kang junyeong, performed by oliver song. cherry wine is all about the complex and difficult emotions that come with a relationship. in the verses, he sings about the struggle between the opposites that harm their relationship and how much she is absent, yet still makes a deep impression on him. the chorus ties together these opposing forces by comparing the intensity of the relationship to a rare and sweet cherry wine. despite the difficulties, cherry wine also emphasizes that the relationship brings a deep connection of belonging, regardless of whether it is open or closed. this is one of those songs that fans understand have a deeper meaning for the interpersonal relationships amongst bandmates, but they've never been able to find any proof of JUJUN — the ship name for salem and junyeong.

❅ ◠ ﹒ TRACK SEVEN: MERRY CHRISTMAS, PLEASE DON'T CALL ( 2023 ) was written, produced, and performed by oliver song. merry christmas, please don't call presents a complex emotional landscape wrapped in a familiar setting of the holiday season. despite the christmas title, the song is trapped in melancholy, suggesting that the festive time can also bring up painful memories and feelings of isolation. they are grappling with the remnants of past romances and familial issues while setting boundaries to protect themselves, speaking to the dual nature of the holidays as both joy and sorrow exist. the chorus emphasizes a haunting sense of being trapped in memories and reinforces the idea that everyone is aware of their shared history and the damage that caused it. the desire for distance is a necessary step for healing as they feel a longing for an escape of the cycle of pain and perhaps find freedom from the emotional weight tied to these memories.

❅ ◠ ﹒ DELUXE TRACK: EVERY HOLIDAY ( 2024 ) was written, produced, and performed by park jueun, kang junyeong, lee jiyeon, oh deurim, and oliver song. lumenites twitter was silent for a whole four minutes as everyone listened to this song for the first time before the flood of reactions. every holiday focuses on themes of depression, division, and the pressure that comes with holidays. it reflects a sense of unease and heaviness that they experience during the holiday season and expresses the weight of how societal divisions and expectations starts to affect their mental state. despite all the darkness and heaviness of their emotions, the narrator still finds solace in the presence of their loved ones. every holiday was originally performed at the lure as one of their final songs of 2024 and this live version was kept seemingly for this album. seeing all five members have credits in writing, producing, and singing was an unexpected christmas present and has prompted calls for the group to get back together because of how talented they are together.
