"FAST" EDDIE GETS INTO HIS BLUES INFLUENCES -- OF COURSE, EARLY CLAPTON WASN'T FAR BEHIND.
CLASSIC ROCK REVISITED: "Who are your biggest Blues influences?..."
"FAST" EDDIE CLARKE: "Well, My first hero was Eric Clapton with THE YARDBIRDS. They used to play down the road so I was able to see them regularly. "Five Live Yardbirds" was like my bible and I played the whole album with my first band, The Bitter End, mostly in my dad’s garage. Then, Eric went with JOHN MAYALL and I played all of that album with my next band, Umble Blues. Then, along came HENDRIX, THE CREAM and JEFF BECK'S "Truth," and that was kind of the foundation of my music. I always thought of myself as third generation blues, as I followed the above. They, of course, followed the original American blues players. I guess these were the influences that helped shape the album ["Make My Day Back to Blues"] and also a lot of my life experience."

Fast Eddie is a classic video game initially released for the Atari 2600 in 1982 by 20th Century Fox Games, with a Commodore 64 port following in 1984. In this title, players control the titular character, a man wearing a green fedora who must collect prizes (often described as floating keys or notes) on each screen while avoiding enemies.
The game consists of three floors connected by ladders that Eddie can climb up and down. The main enemy is a creature called "High-Top" (sometimes referred to as "Sneaker") that patrols back and forth across each floor. If Eddie touches a High-Top, he loses a life.
At the top of the screen, another enemy called "Trash Can Lid Larry" or "Barfly" moves back and forth. After collecting all the prizes on a level, Eddie must reach the top of the screen where there's a flashing prize (sometimes called a flower). Touching this prize completes the level and advances to the next one, which features faster-moving enemies.
The Commodore 64 version, which is featured in this video, maintains the core gameplay of the original while taking advantage of the C64's enhanced capabilities. The graphics are more detailed compared to the Atari 2600 version, with better-defined character sprites and more vibrant colors. The sound is also improved, offering more distinct audio effects that enhance the gaming experience.
The gameplay remains relatively simple but becomes increasingly challenging as the enemies move faster with each level. Fast Eddie doesn't have any offensive capabilities - the game is entirely about timing your movements to avoid enemies while collecting all the required objects.
Fast Eddie was designed by Mark Turmell, who would later go on to create more famous games like NBA Jam and Smash TV. The game is notable for being one of the earlier examples of the single-screen platformer genre that would later be popularized by games like Donkey Kong and Mario Bros.

Y'know what I find funny? Sometimes I see people confused about Edd "Fast Eddie" Theman from Morrowind's name. Saying it doesn't sound very Dunmer due to Ed just bein' a name in our world or how the last name is literally 'The Man'.
Thing is, while 'Edd' doesn't appear elsewhere as a name, there's a last name 'Ledd' and many Dunmer names feature 'ed', even two Dunmer in Morrowind named Edras and Edril. Y'could say Edd is from the same origin for Dunmer as these two names.
Theman is even easier to justify, 'the' and 'man' appear all over Dunmer names.
But, even if that wasn't true, here's the funny thing about making up names for fantasy characters: You can do whatever y'want.
Someone wanted to name a character Fast Eddie and decided that his real name would be Edd Theman. So, even if it doesn't sound very 'Dunmer' to you, by the nature of being the name of a Dunmer in the game is Dunmer.
Personally, I think they shoulda included more Edds in later games. Even more Edds who go by Eddie. Because I think that'd be fun.

"I AIN'T NO BEAUTY, BUT I'M A SECRET FOX..."
PIC(S) INFO:For your "Motörhead Monday" -- Spotlight on the late, great "Fast" Eddie Clarke of English rock and roll band MOTÖRHEAD, performing live with his trusty Fender Stratocaster in hand, c. late '70s to early '80s.
EXTRA INFO: The first shot is probably from either a UK and/or European gig, and the second one is definitely from a North American tour date; note the Oakland Raiders tee.
