Day 13; A Rough Morning

Fadnom; transformers Characters: Sideswipe, Sunstreaker, Lily (OC), Jasmine Graham (OC) Rating: T Description; taking care of Lily while she has an infection has Sunstreaker stressed before noon.

Angstober; (skipped) Whumpober; infection, "I don't feel so good." AI-lesstober; (skipped) OC-tober; having some rotten luck Flufftober; wrong(…) *continuing a prompt/ scene snippet from this past April's challenges, but I apparently posted all but that one, sorry.*

Lily wakes up feeling awful. Then she remembers she has an infection. With how awful she feels, Lily worries she should be in the medbay. Sunstreaker walks into the room, returning from his patrol. "How are you feeling?" He asks while putting a cup on Lily's nightstand. "I don't feel so good." Sunstreaker is still mad that Lily let in wound her infected and didn't say anything, but he knows arguing isn't going to do anything. He knows he needs to get Lily to take the antibiotic. Lily doesn't like sitting up for a few seconds to take the medication. "Ratchet says heat on the infection is good." Lily doesn't say anything. She'd rather not move the blankets, but Sunstreaker will argue that this will help eliminate the infection.

Sunstreaker makes a heat compress. "Funny, I'm worried about a simple task of wetting a cloth. I hope it's not too hot. Maybe this will help warm her."

Lily doesn't like what Sunstreaker is doing. Even if Ratchet told him this would help. Even while cold, Lily quickly gets used to the warmth on her leg. "I can't keep this on all day," Sunstreaker comments, "you want to see if a warm bath will help?" "No, I can't sit up. I worry I'll have to go to the medbay." "I'll get Jasmine."

"This is normal," Jasmine assures Lily after looking at her infection and checking her vitals, "she can take this to help the flu-like symptoms and feel more comfortable," Jasmine helps Lily sit up to take the pills, unprepared for Lily to throw up, "that's also possible." Sunstreaker is thankful Jasmine tells him to take care of the bedding while she helps Lily get changed — after Sunstreaker leaves the room. Lily struggles to sit up long enough to get changed and hates how cold she is. Jasmine takes the blanket from Sunstreaker's bed and finds the extra blankets to layer on Lily.

Sunstreaker didn't return until the bedding was washed and dried. He figured Jasmine would have Lily lie in his bed. "You think you can eat?" Sunstreaker asks. "You should be fine," Jasmine assures her, "let me know if you want to try a bath or if you feel worse." Sunstreaker shows Lily the hot tea he got her in a stainless steel cup before leaving. Lily drinks a little and lies back down.

Sunstreaker keeps breakfast simple and makes oatmeal. "You know that's the wrong flavor?" Sideswipe points out, "I like apple and cinnamon. Lily likes maple and brown sugar. You ok?" "No, Lily is very sick. I can't believe she didn't tell me her wound didn't look good. I'm an idiot." "You're still learning how to be friends with anyone, and you never loved anyone," Sideswipe comments, "give me that before it turns gross and make her favorite," Sideswipe gets the correct package, "here." Sideswipe stays in the kitchen to ensure Sunstreaker doesn't screw up again, seeing how worried Sunstreaker is. He goes with Sunstreaker upstairs.

Lily isn't asleep when the two walk into the room. She wants to get out of bed and sit on the couch. The two brothers know this is because of the medicine Lily had but are happy she's out of bed and hope the infection doesn't get worse. They are ok with this being the routine for a while.

If you're not talking about misogyny, you might as well shut up.

And we can't have issues that aren't shared with cis people, because otherwise we aren't "really" men and women. Because white cishet people are the ones we should be looking to when we "prove" our identity through our suffering, right?

To be a woman, you have to suffer. To be a man, you can never suffer. You can never just be. You have guilt and shame and violence and self sacrifice to be doing if you dare to transition into power.

Because if you, a trans man, don't have male privilege, that must mean that trans women do, because we all live in opposite to eachother, even though the framework of male privilege is something made by and for cis people. If trans women are suffering, that must mean that you aren't.

You can't talk about your own life or struggles or else you're indirectly talking about trans women, and cis men, and cis women, and everyone else except you.

(And fuck non-binary and intersex people and whatever they have going on with their identities that shits just not important to our oppositional viewpoint, right? We can make them fit in this box based off of their genitals, anyway. Dont bring racism into this either, you're just being misogynistic if you do.)

Got a little brain worm on the way home and have a need to write it down. Just a drabble because I'm not good at writing.

DC x DP Just a (clone) couple

Joung Adult!Team Phantom for some reason end up in the DC universe. For reasons, there aren't any equivalents of them here. Danny and Sam are together and Danny and Dani have a familiar relationship. Whatever the reasons they stay in this universe.

So Sam, Danny and Dani start making a life together as a family, Tucker goes on to make a "small business" involving VPN's and tech in general (finds an anthropomorphic girlfriend on the way or something), Jazz goes to uni (JL members city of choice, although I advise against Gotham or Metropolis, because that would make this too short).

For some MORE reasons unknown, although they might be by the making of our favourite clock-man, the DP people's DNA has by default markings of being clones in DC (I don't know if this is canon or fanon but Connor had something like that ╮⁠(⁠＾⁠▽⁠＾⁠)⁠╭). The thing is here Jack = Bruce, Maddy = Alexander and Jeremy = Clark, Pamela = Lois! Do you see my vision here??

So *JL member from the perspective city* meets the Fenton/Manson/Nightingale?? family accidentally when they are visiting Jazz, and has a sweet deja vu moment. Some time passes and the off handedly mention it to someone in the JL.

Batman being the paranoid bastard that he is goes on to check this thing out, because he can smell the fish from a mile away. Thinks the couple are clones, gets very paranoid again and starts making plans, plans get found by his kids, kids tell the JL and friends. So starts the collective discussions of what should they do, some say that they should get rid of the clones, some others that they don't have proof for anything nefarious and shouldn't do anything at all, someone points out that they have literally showed up out of nowhere and that it is reasonable to be suspicious. And Connor is also there.

Meanwhile Team Phantom is going about their lives like normal, but with a "I know that you know" mindset, and don't really bother with hiding themselves.

In my opinion the part that has to be the most glaringly noticeable about them should be that Danny (Batman's clone apparently) should wear a lot of flannel and have a "Midwestern Nice" personality" (the stuff of legends I have only heard about in passing) and over all should resemble Clark in fashion sense. For Sam (Superman's clone apparently) the exact opposite - she can put the GOTH in Gotham.

And all JL angst/drama/confusion happens in the background as we follow Connor Kent's/Superboy's POV and him dealing with having two half siblings and the half siblings being together and them having a child and this is too much for him oooooooooo noooooooo nononoonononoonononononno what in the sweeet home Alabama whhhhhyyyyyyyy!??!

So it's like a metronome tick's between the POVs of fluffy new life/potential threat to the JL I mean the child of Bruce/Lex and child Clark/Luis having potential super-smart, super-powered (potentially evil??) children. But overall it's crack.

Maybe I'll plan it out and actually try to write it, but meanwhile you can enjoy my half-ill/fever induced brain worms and play in the brown dirt puddle I call my creative thinking.

Bruce Wayne is hella suspicious

Like, outside of being a billionaire, he just feels too well-adjusted, you know? With that kind of backstory, it would've been natural for him to be a rogue, but somehow, he isn't. People have looked into the guy's past to try and find dirt on him and... nothing. There's nothing. He does a lot for Gotham, but what's the motive? He's rich rich. Why would he care if he wasn't hiding something? Didn't he also completely disappear for a couple of years? What was he doing? Also, it's Gotham, the place where your postman could secretly be a serial killer. Everyone's a little off here, but not him. Why?

Day four of being repeatedly gut-punched by Good Omens 2 realisations:

The break-up came out of absolutely fucking nowhere. Not for us, but for Aziraphale and Crowley. In hindsight, it's obvious to us how much wasn't being said, and how much needed to be said, and how much their personal philosophies were going to come back and bite them.

But for them? They'd spent four years together without the threat of Heaven or Hell looming over them. Yeah, Crowley was living in his car and seemed a little unsatisfied with how things were, but overall they were good.

And this whole season! Besides a little minor bickering about the car (and their less minor argument about Gabriel) they have been good! They were collaborating, and flirting, and dancing, and spending quality time together, and indulging each other, and plotting a romance, and just generally enjoying each other's company, and listening to each other's suggestions. They were being partners in every sense of the word. Any conflict that arose came from an external source, not between them. They never turned on each other, and actively kept each other in the loop as much as they were able.

And then they won! Yay! Brielzebub is in love! They beat the demons! Heaven was going to get off their backs! Nina and Maggie were in a good place! Etc. etc. All is right with the world! 6000 years and counting! Time for breakfast at the Ritz! Time to confess our love and move into the bookshop and live happily ever after!

And one single 10-minute conversation over an oat milk latte brought it all crashing down around them.
