Gundham’s throne room is smaller than Shuuichi would have assumed it to be, should he have spared a stray thought to the notion before actually being confronted with it. Somehow reserved, in comparison to the sprawling, ornate cathedral interiors that they bore witness to in Celestia’s Palace.

Much like what Shuuichi had gleaned from their time roaming the corridors, the throne room is funereal and cramped — windows that did once line the perimeter of the room have long been shuttered, or just boarded shut altogether. And alongside those same glowing torches affixed to the walls that have been searing his eyesight a brilliant sapphire blue, the room is artificially illuminated to a greater degree than the hallways had been by another, much more peculiar source:

That would be the hexagram sigil carved into and alight within the floor, the circumference of the complex, etched-in circle bleeding light the same color as the torches across most of the available floor space separating the entrance of the throne room from what awaits at the very heart of it.

(or: of gods, monsters, and pointy objects chapter twenty-six, in which the thing everyone has been waiting for happens.)

The story Candy Cadet tells you is literally what's happening to Cassie. I mean this is kinda obvious. But the mimic is both the monster in the basement AND the mother of the story. Theoretically the mother's "lullaby" is Gregory (mimic) saying "Cassie! I'm ok. I found a spot to hide." Cassie first hears Gregory (mimic) say this while in Roxanne's Salon, when Roxanne supposedly goes to chase after Gregory. This obviously wasn't Gregory, it was the Mimic speaking in Gregory's voice to distract Roxy and protect Cassie (because Mimic needs Cassie's help to be free). Back to the Candy Cadet story, the monster learns the lullaby and sings it to the boy, luring him down into the basement. During the escape sequence, if you run to the Fredbear cutout and use the Vanni mask, you get the false ending of Gregory, Vanessa, and Helpi being totally safe, chilling on a hill eating ice cream. You hear Gregory say "Cassie! I'm ok. I found a spot to hide." Cassie is panicked, breathing, but doesn't die despite the Mimic chasing her. Gregory wouldn't say this obviously given the fact that he was literally trying to lead Cassie to the elevator. Cassie could just be imagining this, sure, but she doesn't die. I feel like once Cassie has the mask back on, the Mimic recognizes that she was the one who helped free it, and it stops trying to kill her and says this to comfort her. If we relate this back to the Candy Cadet story, the monster isn't just luring her down there, but trying to keep her there so she can continue to help it.

i don't really think there's anything seriously wrong with tagwhoring if it's a lot of tags that are already really broad and busy, because who's going to notice i guess, tragedy of the commons, whatever, BUT i just got a photo on my for you tab that was pretty unmistakably a shot of one of those mediterranean coastal cities with the all-white buildings overlooking a bright blue ocean and a clear sky, and it was tagged as both pacific northwest and saskatchewan. girl no it is not

This is at least the third time since Nagito arrived at Chiaki's front door that she’s heard a breathy, nervous squeak of complaint come from the same head she’s currently trying to work a hairbrush through.

Nagito’s hair is…pretty tangled. But Chiaki’s definitely dealt with a rats-nest or two after a late night of gaming; she’s got this. “I don’t really understand what you mean. And hey, I keep telling you…call me Chiaki.”

“Chiaki-san,” Nagito corrects forcefully, the voiced edge with which her name is said undermined a decent amount by how nervous said voice still is, “I think I’ve made a mistake in coming here. I’m so embarrassed I feel a little like throwing up!”

(or: transfeminine nagito comes out to chiaki, and despite some stumbling blocks, the two girls manage a magical girl makeover sequence anyway)
